She just got done hardening off, after transitioning from an aeroponic system. If you were wondering why she looks a bit funky. If you know the mother, then you know this girl has got quite a potential to live up to! Excited to run her perpetually. There are 5 other clones that need hardening off and this is the first. I'll make journals for any of the other ones I decide to keep.
Can't reiterate enough, just how happy I am to keep these strong Genetics going! Seems like it's main top died while it hardened off and essentially caused the plant to top itself. Can't complain about that! Less work for me :)
Doubled the concentration of the compost tea feed and sometime this week, I'll transition into feeding her full strength.
Cheers growmies! Exciting times to come 🙌
I'm trying to treat her soil with hydrogen peroxide mix to kill fungus gnat larvae. Hopefully that works, because I'm sick of just using sticky traps year round. I've increased the amount of compost tea yet again and sometime this week she'll start getting full strength brewed tea, and some terp tea grow top dressed as well. So far, she's looking really happy though.
Update 02/12/22: So I'll be adding on the three part ph perfect trio alongside the compost tea I brew with terp tea duo. Along with this, I've began to include hyshield and hygrozyme into the schedule as well. All of these things to hopefully fill in the nutritional gaps this plant will likely have. Before they happen.
Cheers growmies! 😄
Loving this girl's progress more than my other clones, so I'll stage this one for flower first. Got her transplanted into a 1l nursery pot, hopefully get some solid growth the next two weeks before she gets her final transplant. I'll be giving this plant full strength feedings twice a week with pH perfect, hygrozyme, and hyshield. Then any 'normal' waterings I replace with slightly diluted compost tea for microbes, benis, and other additives.
This is going to be my game plan, ran it by a few other growers and it seems solid.
So cheers everyone, exciting weeks to come 😎
Shes been taking off the past couple days. Just been doing a lot of tucking, I also defoliated the oldest fan leaves. Other than that, much the same as last week. Chugging along! :)
A lot went on since growdiaries went all wonky over the weekend. So I'll try and describe all of the actions I've taken with this plant. So first off, it bushed up like a monster last week, it was far ahead of the other three banana daddy plants. So I transplanted it, hoping to slow it... NOPE. So my next decision was to take cuttings from her. Which I've done today.
Another hugely important detail is that all of the bandad clones have been moved into my flowering tent. But I switched the light schedule to 24 hours. Hopefully get some solid veg growth before flipping them all to flower. On top of that, I've added a 300 watt LED wish/Amazon board as supplemental light that I'll use throughout veg and flower. I would never advise anybody use these cheap lights as main. But they make for a great supplement.
Cheers growmies! 😎

Tied this girl down a bit because she was way ahead of the others height-wise. I'm going to cut back on the compost tea treatment. I'm thinking of using it situationally- like when a seedling transitions into veg, or when a veg plant transitions into flower. I've noticed best results from it during those times. Other than that, I'm not going to be doing any more training until she reaches the screen.
Eldest of the clones really taking off now :) At the end of this week, all of these girls will be getting flushed to prepare them for the flip! Hoping they get a bit closer to the trellis by then but we'll see.
Cheers growmies!

Loving this batch of banana daddy plants! This girl especially. All of the plants have now been flipped to flower and today is day 4 of flower transition. I was surprised to see our eldest(this girl), overshadowed by banana daddy clone #4. I think it's due to the proximity of the exhale co2 bag I recently added to the tent.
They're all praying upward, happy as can be. Everything is coming along great so far!
Cheers growmies

Definitely going to need to do a better job keeping all of my journals up to date rofl.
All of the girls are kicking butt - this one is no exception! Although, I expected her to be the forerunner development-wise. She's behind the youngest clone, oddly enough. I just think it's due to having more buds than the younger. I plan on taking down the scrog because these plants did not stretch enough for it to be worth keeping up. I made sure to lower the lights to a little over a foot from the canopy this week.
We are currently on the last day of week 2 flower. Week 3 flower starts tomorrow and I plan on feeding these plants max strength bloom nutrients until week 5/6. I'll then transition into only compost tea and overdrive for weeks 6-8 and flush end of week 8. Harvest end of week 9. I may flush halfway through week 8, but I'll just cross that bridge when I get to it.
Cheers everyone!

Envious of all your grows!!!! They are all fantastic! I would love to accumulate numerous diaries, only people who give growing a try understand the time and love that gets put into the plants. Yours are beautiful. Thanks for posting... very helpful for a Newbie like me. Cheers mate!👋👊👉💪😛
@Wyregrasser, I'm still quite a newbie myself - And Thank you so much for the kind words, it's great to know my diaries have been helpful for you! Recently cracked open Ed Rosenthal's 'The Grower's Handbook" and that really helped me dismiss a lot of the hearsay regarding cannabis. Old book, but the wisdom stands true!
Anyways, cheers and Godspeed with your current grow. :)
