This week hasnt been fun, if you guys could help me id really appreciate it, my night heater stopped working for 3 nights, my temps dropped down to around 18Β°c all 3 nights, some of girls, went a bit pale and yellow and drooped, while some were fine, ive also noticed some of leaves on the greener plants have started twisting, ive never seen this before. Lastly i have an autopot system, the pots sit in a small amount of water constantly, i have air domes in them also, i checked the ph level in the pot and it is 7.4 but my ph in my reservoir is 5.9, should i adjust the ph lower in my tank to balance this out at the roots

I would try and keep your PH at a stable 5.8 and only go up to 6.2 when you start to enter flower. If you notice that PH is drifting your plants maybe they are feeding more then expected. Have you been monitoring your EC of the feeding solution? Is it dropping a lot over 24hrs and does coincide with the rise in PH? You could try and do a flush to get the PH back to normal and then go from there, but before doing this I would recommend making sure the above values PH/EC are checked first. If you do not have a TDS pen I would suggest you get one. Good Luck!

Im using an autopot system with airdomes, could the domes be raising the ph? The pots are submerged 99% of the time

Bubbling air into water will change the PH of the water. I made a mini graph of this and how it relates to using phosphoric acid as PH down on my one grow. It all depends what type of mineral composition is in your tap water. If you using an air stone in the reservoir or bubbling before adding into the pots it should not flux to much. One other thing to note as well, if the air your bubbling into the water is high in co2, it will form carbonic acid and lower the PH as well. My tap water went from a PH of 7.3 up to 7.9 after bubbling for only 40min. The control went from a PH of 7.3 down to 7.2 growdiaries.com/diaries/129773-grow-journal-by-m0use/week/704902 look at the last photo for the graph/results. I also bubbled the still water that I was using as a control at the end and its PH closely matched the bubbled one. I tested using 1L of water in clear glass mason jars. It was not a perfect test. I would have liked to test it over longer periods of time and see if it drops or rises from extended sitting periods. Put an air stone in your reservoir if you don't already have one. Good Luck!

Nice setup ! Good luck on your grow! I would maybe flush your pots out with plain water ph’d to about 6.0 and then continue to feed from your reservoir after your happy the ph of the coco is in range. A ph of 7.4 at the roots will create many problems. Hope that helps in some way! ✌️

Hey growmie nice setup. You really packed out big this being ur first grow haha The first 2 to 3 weeks you should hand water all your plants until they have had the time to get a good root structure.. ideally you can turn on you autopot system after +- 20 days. Air domes should be turned on after 3 weeks.. I also highly recommend you use more / bigger fans for a better airflow in you growspace. I can only spot a small fan in your pictures and this one for sure will never be enough in this big tent. one more question regarding the PH fluctuation? did you by any chance use clay pebbles in the pots? if so did you Stabalize them in PHed water +-48 hours before using them? I see some1 mentioned to drop an airstone in your reservoir but I've read on several sources that this is not recommended. if you want to have the solution mixed it's better to have an aquarium pump in the reservoir running for like 15 minutes every 2 hours. Will be dropping by your diary from time to time.. also just starting my own autopot grow this week please take a look maybe we can learn from eachother ;) All the best and good luck!😎

@Ganja4Show, Im lucky to have a cellar so i thought id utilise the space....never set out for it to be that big but ended up with it To answer your question yes i have used pebbles and no i didnt ph balance them, this is clearly where ive gone wrong, nothing i can do about it now tho, il learn for the next one, thanks for the input, much appreciated

Man what a set up. Looks great. With them lights you are losing a lot of ppf with them that far away. For flowering to give them that extra ppf I'd think of moving them closer. If you look you'll see on your light brand how much ppf you lose just by being a few inches out of the optimal range. Just a thought, will really help with your flowering stage, or not, lol either way you seem to have it at hand very impressive for a 1st grow. Love it. 'Keep it up! Happy growing, good luck. 🌱🌿🌷

Hey friend looks great, Do you have yourself some Sungrip light pulleys to move those lights around ? They really help out. When I put all our 200 lights on them it made managing moving them up and down to better suit the plants needs a lot easier. Check out my diary on here it is 200 lights 7,000 plants. You can really manage your light canopy great with them and get the most PAR onto your plants as possible. If you do not have them already get yourself a PAR meter & a thermal laser temp gun like the fluke 62 MAX to better read your plants needs and grow to them. Research vapor pressure deficit and how it relates to growing cannabis, All new growers should know this. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I have also grown in hydro myself funny enough 2 8 plant systems way back in the day. Happy growing!
