Hello, everyone.
The ladies are now in the middle of the 7th week.
All survived the 6th week LST and defoliation well.
They are very easy to train and grow with their branches towards the edge of the pot and sometimes even beyond. Especially the indicas "Nova OG" and "Afghan Kush * Skunk" grow beautifully in width. Almost 40cm. Only in a few places the branches still need a little training to reach the edge.
Therefore, I will soon stop with the low-stress training, no longer bend the new shoots and let the plants grow upwards unhindered.
Depending on how fast they grow upwards, I'll probably start flowering in 2-3 weeks.
In addition, the last ring in the pot was removed about 1 week ago and since then the roots have had the whole 14 liter pot at their disposal.
I didn't notice any stop in growth afterwards.
๐ฝ Information on the experiment "pot in pot" can be found in week 1. ๐ฝ
On the contrary. Switching to 100% BioBizz AllMix soil and the extra space for the roots has done them good. Have had a real growth boost since then.
ImperiumX in particular, which was always a week behind, has caught up incredibly.
Strong, dark green leaves with prominent veins. Under the microscope, or partially on the pictures, you can even see it glistening.
So far I'm really happy with the "pot in a pot" experiment.
In order to avoid the plants getting too much nitrogen from the fresh AllMix soil and so that they slowly get used to it, I dose BioBizz Grow according to the AllMix recommendation with only 1ml/l, although approx. 30% of the pot is filled with LightMix.
It's better to switch things over slowly, because they are definitely not lacking in nutrients.
They look very healthy and already develop a clear aroma.
In detail:
Nova OG (Indica Bonsai): Since Nova OG decided to grow sideway from the beginning,
I allowed her to do that, fixed her just before the edge of the pot and pulled her all the way back to the other side. In the middle fimming with four new shoots. Two were trained with fimming.
Result: Nova OG looks like a cannabis bonsai, with a dense, wide canopy and several shoots upwards. Leaves typically Indica, wide and strong.
ImperiumX: Always the smallest at first, now catching up quickly. The new soil and space for roots have made them grow very well.
ImperiumX has been fimmed once so far, with three new shoots. Though mostly sativa, she grows like an indica. Not sure how much she still stretches in bloom.
I hope more like Sativa, because ImperiumX can still use height. But she's already showing her potential.
Euforia (typical Sativa): Euforia grows as it should for a Sativa. Tall, slender, fast with thin leaves. It's just fun to train this plant.
She seems to like it, responds quickly and has great growth.
With Euforia you should be careful with the nutrients. When first switched from 100% LightMix to 50% LightMix and 50% AllMix, brown spots on older leaves. Not heavy, but clear. I then only watered it with water for 3 days, then 3 days with "BioBizz Heaven" and it was OK again.
This time, when releasing the nutrient-rich soil, only watered with a little "BB Heaven" and "BB Rootjuice" and there were hardly any spots to be seen. After about 5 days, slowly increased the nutrients to the amount according to the AllMix fertilizer scheme and it was fine. Maybe, this was a reaction, because of a little change of the PH.
After the "FIMming", there came three new shoots. Two of them i was "FIMming" again, the third will follow in the next few days.
Afghan Kush * Skunk (The Surprise): This plant is only with me because I had spare space and friends entrusted it to me to care for. I'm glad I have these because I really enjoy them.
Grows fast, strong and uncomplicated right from the start.
Can be trained very well, really likes it.
After fimming also three new shoots. Fimming again with the strong two.
I am curious what will become of this one. ๐ She is currently the top dog.๐ Great aroma.
Technical / Lights: I hung the Sanlight EVO 3-60 a little lower. This runs at 90%.
In addition, the self-made LED modules have been improved and expanded.
The upper ones, which hang on the aluminum frame, got a Velcro tape glued on together with the frame. Depending on your needs and growth period, these can now be removed or easily replaced with other colors.
These are RGB type 5050 modules. So these will probably be permanent and I'm just changing the color from blue with a little red to red with a little blue in the bloom.
Along the outsides I have fitted strong cool white modules with type 5630 leds.
These hang clips for the corner bars that come from the 3D printer.
In addition, new and clean cables were laid.
I estimate that the LED modules give me an additional 50-70 watts of light. I will messure this soon.
Because the ladies are irradiated from all sides, they spread very evenly, even towards the corners.
So far everything is going very well. I hope it goes on like this. Now gain height and the flowering can come.

Tried to buy these strains, Anesia took the money and DID NOT send anything! Pity it ended like this not for the money but because I really wanted to grow IMPERIUM X
