Preparing closet for grow, waiting on a mix of autos from Herbie's seeds. This diary is on Pineapple Express Auto, very excited for the yields. Germination will be paper towel method for approx 2-3 days, then plant directly in final pot. Update 2/24-Seeds expected to arrive 2/26. Germinating ASAP, if all goes well, transplant and seedling stage begins 24-48 hours after. Last entry for germination as this is a straightforward process. Last germination update 3/1- Germination has begun and day 1 will commence at transplant into 3 gal pot.

Has anyone noticed a true difference in yields/health with an addition of a silica compound to the soil medium? Unsure if I want to try it on this grow, but am open to comments/recommendations.

Basically it sets your plant up to help increase overall harvest. Make sure to use a micro with it. And add bit at a time if making s mix as some nutes might gel together if used in excess.

3/4 PM checking in and I see a wonderful little sprout. Had the light raised 40inches above seedling and will monitor how she reacts, lowering as needed to prevent stretching. Water only as feeding every 4-5 hours to keep soil moist. Keeping cup over seedling for humidity until I see some strength course through. Top 1/4 soil is coco loco and perlite, mixed 80/20. Bottom 3/4 is FFOF, coco loco and perlite, 70/20/10. Didn't want burn on my seedlings and wanted their roots to grow into a nutrient rich medium. Will provide closing week 1 journal at day 7. 3/10- Day 7 Very pleased how this plant is doing. Growth has been expected, nothing crazy. Second leaves are coming in great! So far so good! Light is perfect at 30" now, had minor fluctuations throughout the week but settled on 30"being the sweet spot. Fed water only as top dressing to soil and foliar spray every few hours, every day. Humidity cup was on until day 3... first measured feeding was day 5, 200ml of water with 1/4 strength silica boost by bloom city. Gradually increasing silica doses through life, capping at 3/4 strength, and will remain a constant in all feedings. Oscillating fan has been going on lowest setting, moving the stems mildly. 8 hours uninterrupted in the AM, closing it with 4 hours in the PM. Closet does not get hot, average temp 78-82 degrees daytime, 72ish during dark period. Will keep fan schedule until my mini arrives. Second watering day 7, 200ml with 1/4 strength silica.

Week 2 commenced 3/11...Day 8...if you are following my timeline! After watering yesterday, I decided to push a bit of soil around the stem for support, as my other plants got the same treatment (mild bending). I also added a top layer of pre mixed soil/perlite/coco (50/35/15) to all edges of the pots and top, as I did not like the coco drying out so severely between waterings. As I am not watering large amounts yet, this seemed like a decent way to retain moisture without disturbing the medium around the plant. Mist water today, will give complete purge/absence of water day 9. Day 10 will water at "sunset" and go from there. Will update along the week. Day 8 is closing out with some strong new growth. Day 10-started noticing yellowing veins and curling leaves on day 9. After deliberation, I went with it having an N deficiency. Decided to give a feed of 1/8 strength fox farm grow big this morning before sunrise (fed all plants same time) due to the roots growing into coco currently and having little to no nutrients. I gave them a very small dose, the plant is quite sturdy in my opinion, so hopefully this will give it a righteous kick forward and show signs of improvement. Continuing to mist the leaves every 5ish hours, and airflow is great within the closet. Will continue to monitor and will make an update end of week 2 if things go smooth. Day 14- Things have been very good for this plant. Growing very nicely upwards with a thicker new stem. More leaf sites are appearing which is wonderful to see, as well as beautiful growth laterally on the first few leaves. One leaf in particular is missing the left tip (2 leaves, not 3)but regardless it's doing fine. Watered 350ml on day 13 AM, upping the silica to half strength and steady with 1/8 strength Grow Big. Will do a pure water flush when soil medium is dry next, aiming for the first run off water at 30%-50%. Hoping to start LST soon...the plant is just not ready yet. Maybe by next nutrient feeding...

Day 15- Week 3 came about, and I don't know what I was thinking...started LST very lightly this morning. Checking in tonight I see ripples of new growth in the stem, and positive reaction from the minor bend down. Aiming for a flush day 16, then upping nutrients to 1/4 strength. Will be slowly lowering light to 18"above canopy by end of the week. So far so good, if I see any degradation from me starting to bend the stem too early I will back off and provide support vertically. Don't think that will be an issue, as it is quite healthy and growing nicely. Day 17- woke up this morning and gave it a nice watering/flush. Training is going well, new growth is appearing every day. Have been maintaining LST application daily, ensuring position is appropriate. Nothing super new to report, other than the plant is kicking off and gaining mass. Will feed when soil seems dry, or when plants look desperate in the upcoming days. Day 20- plant is growing well, bud sites are showing and growing into itself. Stem is taking girth and really is growing up to the light. Absolutely loving the light distance and constant attention. I removed the training wrap for today in hopes of growth upwards, will really dissect tomorrow and expose all growth sites via garden stakes, training the plant the way I need it to grow. Hoping to have another 2 weeks of veg to really train around the whole pot, maximizing light penetration and symmetry. Overall, plant is very healthy and happy, this may be my closing entry for week 3, will see if anything dramatic happens by end of day tomorrow. Day 21- training is still off except a few fan leaves. Fed this morning 1/4 strength grow big and 5ml/gal silica additive. Tucking leafs underneath new growth constantly, really waiting for a huge growth spurt. Week 4 is tomorrow, everything seems to be going good! Very leafy so far and the smell is mildly fruity. Gonna leave the plant to do it's thing the rest of the day.

D22- start of week 4, will leave plant alone until next feed to grow vertically. Training is minimal over the next few days. D23-pistils are showing officially. I love seeing them. I'm holding back so much and literally not doing anything to the plant until day 25. I swapped out some crystals and added new ones to the soil and the room, hoping to see some great things when I check in again. D25- fed this morning same mixture with 1/8tsp/gal tiger bloom. Weekend growth was great, leaves became very bushy and I just trained leaves away best I can. Going to leave the plant alone for a day or 2, let growth take over again. I was not anticipating the amount of bushy-ness and looking back I might've LST'd differently. Regardless, I'm working with what I got. Looking to flush when dry with water only next, maintaining light distance from 17"-20" above canopy. Happy to see pistils popping up, going to keep my momentum going and keep making sure the plant is happy and healthy. D27- FLUSH. Even bushier than yesterday, this plant got roughly 40oz of fresh water to push it to utilize everything it's got before next nute feed. I am mainly letting it grow taller so I can get the branches trained over, but the rate the leafs are growing I may need to defoliate at some point soon. Trying to avoid that, so LST will continue to be the primary way of getting light to bud sites. Stem is healthy though, glad to see the resilience through all the manipulations. Excited to enter week 5, this has been a great grow week for this plant. Hoping to see incredible growth very soon, as we are approaching the flowering stage quick! D28- Week 4 is finishing up and all I will update is that the plant will be in another week of veg. Will feed 1/8 or less strength bloom nutes next as planned, but will not back off on grow big just yet. I'm getting very amped up for the next weeks until harvest.

D29- week 5 has commenced. Paying closer attention to when it needs another feed. Growth is good, slight smell is there, pistils are forming in all the bud sites for the most part so until next nute feed, really not much to do. Waiting for branches to grow a bit taller before I swap out and re apply LST stakes. Maybe will perform a slight defoliation this week to clear the muddy leaves and overgrown fans atop flowering sites, but a very minimal amount if any. Will maintain temp from 69-75 and RH from 35%-55% . PM update...i took 4 fan leafs off this evening. They were all blocking new growth and crowding the plant altogether. The cuts look nice on the plant, will give much more light to the lower portions D31-fed this morning same mixture of silica and grow big but upped bloom to 1/2 tsp/gal. Figured it may still want some N so I didn't back off just yet of the grow big, next feed hopefully will be a different mixture with more flowering. 1000ml this morning, night time it seems to have perked up tremendously. Going to leave alone for a few days, maintain site conditions and do mild training. D32- checking in and doing minor LST, this plant is doing great. Nothing new to report other than the stem is getting much thicker and flowering growth is really present and kicking into next gear. D33-soil is getting dry...going to feed tomorrow morning. Main cola is getting fatter and pistils are popping out on most bud sites. Waiting for an apparent explosion of growth to do any more fan leaf removal. Main stems are all getting light on the head, lower branches are what I'm worried about, but there's still penetration through the canopy. Unsure who's reading this at this point, but the progress is coming along very nicely. Will update tomorrow after feed, really getting excited to get out of the last days of veg and go into flower full fledged. D34-fed this morning, mixture of 5ml silica, 3ml grow big, 3ml tiger bloom, and 2ml of my wife's organic K water :) defoliated as well, the haircut looks incredible and hopefully this pushes growth up now. This will probably be my last week 5 update, as things should not change so drastically in 2 days, if they do, let it rocket forward into week 6!

D36-Week 6 begins, defoliate again to start the first week of real noticeable flower as well. Plant pot still seems heavy and retaining the last feed , will continue to monitor. Specific feed has been made already for PE, just waiting for signs of needing to eat again. D37-fed this morning 1000ml, I also top dressed with FFOF soil as the roots were mildly showing after the watering. I have the fan going constantly so hopefully the layers of soil won't act adversely with each other. Either way, plant is looking happy and healthy, upping the silica mildly to see if that helps give an extra oomph to stem development and rebound power after defoliation. Also giving a touch higher bloom as the cola and pistils are stacking up. All training stakes are off, I think next grow I will train laterally immediately and then let the plant grow up before LST. Next 48 hours they will be alone to grow. Will monitor until it's time to feed again. D40-minor defoliation and feed this morning. All per gallon, 5ml silica, 1.5ml grow big, 3ml tiger bloom and 20ml organic big bloom. Gave 1200ml of feed and the plant is trucking along. Very fruity aroma coming off of it. Getting taller each day. This will likely be my last week 6 update unless it needs to eat on day 42, which I doubt currently.

D43- business as usual. Light was raised due to other plants but we will see how it does. Having general difficulty in maintaining room conditions...may break and get a cheap grow tent to finish this to harvest. Measured this morning at 11"from soil to top of cola, will be watching and tracking growth now to make sure everything is progressing. Will update through the week. *fed around 600ml of a leftover feed for a little punch this morning too. 5ml silica and 3ml big bloom per gallon. Will feed again when medium is bone dry. D44- plant grew an inch overnight and is sitting at 12" tall. Getting warmer conditions with gradually lower RH as well, keeping fans on and window cracked during the day for fresh air inflow. PM update, defoliated to get better air flow through the plant...shifting the order around in the tent to accommodate the 3 different positions. D46- plant is now 14" tall from soil to top of main cola. Stretch is taking place this week, excited to see the progress. Going to be dried out soon and ready for another feed. Keeping light now at 11"-13" above highest cola after thought and research. Will maintain height until harvest, leaning to the closer side further down the line. Just some updated thoughts. PM update- will feed in the morning 1200 ml as the soil is quite dry according to my meter. D47-fed 1200ml of 5ml silica, 2ml tiger bloom and 2.5ml big bloom per gallon. Temp is sitting currently at 76f with 46%RH. height of plant os 14.5", hoping this feed gives it another push. AM update-upon closer inspection, trichomes are beginning to appear on the bud sites and leaves. D48- plant is 16" tall this morning. Keeping conditions consistent and leaving it alone today. Happy 420!

D50- fed 1700ml of 5ml silica, 2.5ml tiger, 3ml big bloom. Plant is 17"tall. D51- defoliated and lollipopped the way small growth that was only slowing it down. Height is 18". Trichomes appearing more steadily and abundantly, just going to maintain and monitor tent conditions. Next feed will step up to 3ml tiger on D53. Trying to keep humidity down is the challenge of the week. AC is now officially on due to warmer weather outside, so that should help in theory over the next few days. D52-rain storm outside is messing RH in the tent. Bringing the dehumidifier in today. Heck soil PH is below 6 according to the meter. Going to adjust PH of next feed to counter. D53-not feeding today. Plant is 19"tall, soil is still moist...really trying to diagnose and dial in this soil PH issue... will give an update with how I proceed but higher PH feed water isn't going to do it from what I've read. D54-fed before sunset yesterday. Plant is doing remarkably well this morning from it. Not really going to worry much more on soil PH...rather focus energy and thoughts on plant productivity them something fabricated for me to fix. Feed had no silica, 3.5ml tiger and 2ml big bloom. PH to 6.5, and fed 3/4 of a gallon. Thanks to dehumidifier the tent is resting between 72f and 79f with RH from 40%-55% keeping this humidity level will be key for the rest of the grow. D55-plant is happy. Sitting at 19"and really upping flower production. Will feed day56 in the PM, 3-4 hours before their sunset. Not worried about soil PH at all anymore, I over reacted. Stepping up flower nutes next feed, keeping that PH below 6.9 and above 6.2. Keeping RH low from here on out, 40-50%. Might go in tonight and tie stalks out for a bush effect and better light penetration. Main cola is kind of too high to do anything though at this point. PM*Picked the pot up and it feels very light. D56-tied out stalks to get better light penetration. Did not bend too heavily or stressful, just pulled the plant open a bit. Feed tonight as just about all wetness is gone from pot. Half gallon feed will take place and a healthy plant will be the next update into week 9. It appears though that its flowering stage is in week 2, starting wk3, rather than entering 4th week. Along it will grow though.

D57-fed last Night a gallon of feed and exposed the inner canopy by tying colas outward slightly. Feed consisted of 5ml silica, 5ml tiger and 5ml big bloom, PH was resting at 6.7. Everything seems to have grown since last night, hoping I'm on cruise control for a while. Dehumidifier is changing the game, only downside is it's so large I need to keep the tent open a bit to get that humidity out. Working through potential solutions but very happy with the plant. Very excited to be in week 9 now, I'm really not minding the slow crawl as long as it yields over 1.5oz dry AT LEAST. Will continue to update through the week on the day by day basis. I'm projecting a guess that harvest will be D80+-5 days. Happy growing everyone! D59-fed tonight half a gallon. 7ml tiger and 5ml big bloom. Pistils are getting orange a bit but the buds are not fattening yet...none of the plants are really. Thinking of flipping to 18/6 for the remainder of the grow to see if that will provide the rest they need... D60-buds are swelling and starting to look like the end product. Checking trichomes daily, once I see all clouded heads, flush begins. Really hoping I can time this right and the plant picks up density before harvest. D61-I think I'm going to begin flush when soil is dry. Pistils are turning orange and I keep checking trichomes for mostly cloudy status, getting very close here though. *I will also be gradually turning to 18/6 cycle, for sure having it implemented fully by day 64. **flush tonight 1.5 gallons of ph balanced water at 6.8. Runoff ph was 5.8. Not bad, hoping to have it run out for another week or two, but no more nutrients! D62-hoping I timed this flush right. Trichomes are mostly cloudy, some Amber up top but the buds are not as big as I was expecting, seeing from other growers. Probably human error this run, maybe I stunted it...i don't know. It all may turn up fine too...just going to water when dry and continue to inspect the plant. D63-continuing not to be happy with this plant. Bottom buds don't have any trichomes while top cola is showing signs of nearing completion. Tomorrow is week 10, might flush again tonight to make sure salt build up is gone. PM-i don't know what I'm doing anymore...I'm a mad man. Flush with 3 gallons of water again, PH to 6.5 and last half gallon I gave 5ml big bloom PH to 6.4...flushing with only water from here on out but I couldn't give up just yet. Tomorrow is week 10 and it won't need water for another 2 or 3 days.

D64-fed last night the 5ml big bloom after 3 gal flush...i don't know. Only water from here out sincerely, as I don't want any bad taste, despite the anticipated low yield. Not the best work but the buds are looking nice, I will say that. Another week or so, going to flush out every 2 days. PM-most trichomes are fully cloudy. Finish line is here, flush on D65, then again on D68, PH only being used as needed. Mark the calendar, these waterings are happening. D65- flush tonight with 2 gallons water PH to 6.0-6.5 Nothing else to say, just waiting for the end. Looking to harvest at 80/20 but I won't mind if it's leaning more to 70/30. Still sad on this run but I know what to do different next time. Buds are getting quite frosty and looking tasty. D66-happy mother's day D67-happy Monday. Flush tomorrow night of 2 gallons. Seeing more ambers today. Excited to cut down and free up space in the tent PM-thinking of throwing the plant outside for the next week as we are going to have a large dry heat wave. A nice finish before putting in darkness? I'm unsure so far but throwing the idea down. D68- flushed 2 gallons, run off ph was 6.5. Going to chop soon, once I see more amber I will give 48 hours darkness. This may be the last watering also, pending in the trichomes progress in the next 48-72 hours. If it is ideal I will starve until death in darkness and then chop, but tomorrow is a day of unexpected challenges. D69-trichomes are the same. Nothing new to report. D70- trichomes still the same as of mid day. Hoping to get a closer look tonight.

D71-trichomes are all cloudy and 5%amber. Stuck the plant outside to get a last run of light, then into darkness isolation it will go, climate in the dark room is 63f, 50%RH. 72 hours of dark starting tonight and I will chop after. Smells great and I'm looking forward to the cure. D74 will be the official harvest and dry start date. Thank you all for following along, my apologies that this is not a heavy producer, I'm chalking it up to stress early on resulting in a stunt (human error, there, I said it). Very much interested in doing another run in the future though of PE. I have learned a LOT from this grow and it has just made me a better gardener overall. Don't worry Fast Buds, I'm not going to denote the score based on yields. This has been a wonderful grow overall and I am very thankful to everyone who chipped in with the nice comments. Feel free to look at my other grows too...I've gotten a bit carried away lol. Okay, this diary is as good as closed now. No more updates until harvest. Thank you all again and happy growing!
