This is my first time growing auto and also my first time using coco and perlite for substrate. I am using Dakine 420 Coco coir. I am using fox farm trio for nutes at 1/4 strength.should I follow their feeding schedule and what is a good ec level. I don't want to burn them out

https://www.autoflower.net/forums/threads/med-man-method-feeding-chart-ppm-ec.47856/ use this link for susgested ec levels. and adjust for what you feel the plant is telling you. I also recommend getting a calmg agent in there as Coir robs the substrate of calmg all the time as it slowly breaks down and releasing extra sodium and potassium from its exchange sites and sucking up more stable calcium and magnesium. Good Luck!

Yeah 1/4 strength will be probably ok. FF is super overdosed following their schedule. I’d shoot for like .5-0.6 EC for weeks 1.5-2.5 then .08 EC week after that. Then maybe 1.0 until flowering begins then 1.2-1.4 in flower if needed bump it up.. Autos are so finicky and one might like 2.0 EC and one might look like complete ass with that high of nutes. It’s a complete toss up. Best to take it slow and read plant. Watch pH cuz tiger bloom is acidic, it tanks my pH

I've been doing a lot of reading on autos in coco. I've seen 2 different variations on feeding. One is feed every other watering and the other is to light feed every watering. I would like to hear others views on this.

Autos or photos, doesnt matter. Ive always been a fan of the feed more often with weaker nutes- And with most Autos needing less food it makes sense to go with the weaker nutes more often and if it looks like plant is getting more than it needs its easy to go to weak nutes less often to fix it. If plant looks good dont be shy too use just water no matter what the charts say. the charts cant see your plant but you can- If it looks healthy as can be then Id happily go just water now and again to try and keep it that way. Dumping more stuff on a perfectly happy and healthy plant is the best way to make it look shit real fast. CoCo is bad at taking up calcium so make sure you keep an eye on that. Aside from that best of luck and happy growing.

Both system work well, you just have to try it out and see what works best for you. Drip systems or irrigation for hydro grows are amazing and something you may want to look into if you continue growing this way. Also DWC or RDWC is also an option down the line. Lots of variety in hydro setups. Good Luck!
