Really excited about this grow. Waited online back in January for this SquareOne seed drop after seeing these grown online by “MrCannucksGrow”, not to mention the online hype SquareOne has. With that said in this grow I have: 1- Nana Glue (Gorilla Glue#4 x Banana Butter Cups) 1- Apple Cup (Apple Fritter x Banana Butter Cups) 1- Nana Cake (Wedding Cake x Banana Butter Cups) 1- Big League (Brisker OG x Grape Rock Candy x Banana Butter Cups) I gotta say it’s hard to pin down which of these strains I’m the most excited about. Wedding Cake is one of my favorites but the Big League and Apple Cup sound like great mixes and then I have the nana glue which I’ve pretty much loved anything crossed with GG#4. This really is a can’t miss grow. Next 3.5-4 months are going to be fun.

First week of life for these girls. They all sprouted at different days but all within 4 days of each other. The Apple Cup and Nana Glue were first, followed by the Big League and lastly the Nana Cake. I pre-soaked the soil before these were planted and they had the humidity domes on them until they sprouted so no need to water the soil but twice a day I hit the girls with a spray mister 10 sprays each with water pH’d to 6.5. Currently I have these girls in a Mars Hydro 2x2x5 with a Mars Hydro TS-1000 light. Once my other photo run is done in 7-10 days they will be moved into the Mars Hydro 3.5x3.5x6 tent under a Mars Hydro FC-E3000 where they will finish veg and flower out.

We’re onto the second week of life for these girls and so far no issues. The Apple cup has some leaf mutations but it is growing the fastest of the 4 and appears healthy so I’m not worried about it. The Nana Glue is a beautiful little plant with very even uniform leaf structure and appears very healthy. Both the Big League and Nana Cake appear like sisters as they both were later to emerge and are starting out as slow growers who are in no rush to get big. With that said they are both healthy and expect their growth to really pick up in the next 7-10 days. As for feeding I did hit the soil with a leftover mix of recharge/fish shit/ and silica boost to re-moisten the soil, along with daily foliage sprays.

All of these girls have been transplanted into 1 gallon pots. I used recycled soil from my bubba kush/blueberry auto run to fill the pots. The soil was amended with a half bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest, Down to Earth 4-4-4, Earthworm castings, perlite, and Epsom salts. I then placed this soil mixture in a 20 gallon Tupperware tote with a lid and let it sit slightly moistened with the lid on for 30-45 days. I also used Extreme Gardening Mykos inside the transplant hole and sprinkled around the root ball to reduce shock time and encourage root growth. The Apple cup and Nana Glue were transplanted 4 days ago and are already over their transplant shock and showing rapid growth over the last 24 hours. In that time span they have both doubled in size and are showing good internode growth as well. The Big League and Nana Cake were just transplanted less then 12 hours ago and are showing it. Both plants are droopy and probably wondering what the hell just happened to them. I fully expect them to get over this in the next few days and start to love life again.

All four of these girls have made it through the first 3 weeks of veg. The Nana Cake and Big League were just transplanted on the last update and like the girls who were transplanted last week had about 2-3 days of little to no growth due to transplant shock. Once that shock was over they quickly started growing again. Once the plants have grown out their shock all of them were topped. As of today all 4 girls are happily sitting in their new pots and are showing rapid growth all around. * I forgot to mention that I moved the girls from my 2x2 starter tent under the Mars-Hydro TS-1000 into my bigger 3.5x3.5 Mars-Hydro tent with an FC-E3000 light. This tent is temperature and humidity controlled by an A/C Infinty 4” fan and automatic controller and will be their final home until harvest.

Another week of veg. in the books for these girls. These girls are still feeding off the microbes in the soil from the transplant. I have given them zero added nutrients and continue to water with fish shit and silica silica every watering and add Cal-Mag and Re-Charge once a week to their feedings. I have been doing leaf tucking on all 4 plants as LST to encourage the lower nodes to reach the top of the canopy. This has been very effective and all of the plants have responded well to this. I will probably add Gaia Green 4-4-4 to each plant this week. The plan is to veg them for another 10 days in the 2 gallon pots before putting them into their final home (5 or 7 gallon fabric pot, not sure which one yet).

All 4 girls are onto week 6 of veg. They have been transplanted into 7 gallon fabric pots which will be their final home. I used a combination of used soil from my last photo run, fresh fox farm ocean forest soil, earthworm castings, epsom salt, and 14 tablespoons each of Gia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 as these will be transitioned to flower in the next 7-10. This feeding should give the plants nutrients for the remaining veg time and what they are looking for into the transition to flower. Each plant was low stress trained and defoliated spreading each flower site out into open light. The defoliation will help provide air flow to the lower canopy and also greatly increase light penetration to the lower bud sites. The next 7-10 days will be fun to watch as the plants fill out the tent.

We are through 7 weeks of veg. and I’m dying to get these girls into flower. The ladies suffered little to no transplant shock and we’re showing loads of new growth one day after. Since I added a whole bunch of dry amendments to the transplant soil it was just water with fish shit, cal-mag and silica all week. I added a trellis net at the beginning of the week to get my scrog game on. This will help to spread out my flower sites as well as provide support for the buds as they get their stretch on and add weight. With all that said I will be flipping these girls into flower in the next day or so. Also wanted to mention that the some of the new fan leaves and growth on 3 of the girls were showing the edges of the leaves curling up looking like a canoe. This was due to me not re-calibrating my pH pen regularly. What I though was 6.5 pH was closer to 6.0 causing the leaves to curl up. After re-calibration and 3-4 waterings at the proper ph this issue was corrected.

I flipped these girls into flower yesterday (5/7). The tent was full as I could hope and with the rapid growth these girls were showing over the two previous day I had no choice or I would be running out of room. For this grow I will go 13 hours dark 11 light the first 2-3 days and even after 1 day on this schedule I am seeing pistols appearing. After the 2-3 days are up I will settle into a 12/12 light schedule. Next 65-70 days will be lots of fun. Day 6: All 4 ladies are showing female sex organs so I can officially call them ladies. They are all getting their stretch on and enjoying life. We’ve had temps in the 90’s here the last few days but these girls are in the basement next to the ac fan so at night we’re getting temps in the mid 60’s with day time temps in the mid to low 70’s which should be perfect for these girls to bring out the purple colors. 6 days down 60-65 days left to go.

We are through 2 weeks of flower for these girls. They are all showing pistols and have stretched about 8 inches over the last 14 days. Since they got a big feeding when they were transplanted 3 weeks ago I won’t be feeding them again for another 7-10 days. As of now there isn’t a single thing I would change with this grow as I haven’t run into any issues, plants are super healthy and growing like crazy. Water with the usual additives of silica, recharge and fish shit for the next week.

We are through three weeks of flower. The stretch is beginning to slow down and these girls seem to have reached their final height. The smell in the tent is slowly increasing everyday as the buds are starting to develop trichomes, which is easily the most I’ve seen on any buds this early into flower. The amount of budsites that have developed is also very promising as this should easily be my biggest yielding grow. 6-7 more weeks left of flower, should be fun getting there.

These girls are now 4 weeks into flower. The stretch has come to a stop and they are now longer growing upwards but outwards. Bud formation really picked up the last 2 days as the ladies started to add weight and trichomes. So far these genetics are living up to their hype, frosty AF and overall just beautiful plants.

We are through 5 weeks of Flower for these lovely ladies and things couldn’t be going any better. All the plants are healthy and just loving life. Stretch is finished and it’s onto the adding weight and building frost stage which these girls are excelling at. Trichome frost level is the most I’ve seen on any grow and it’s not really even close and I’m getting a very strong smell every time I open the tent up. All I’ve done the past week is water a half gallon everything other day with fish shit mixed in daily and ReCharge, Cal-Mag and Silica boost once a week.

We are 5.5 weeks into flower and these girls were given their final dry amendment feeding. I added 7 tbsp. (1 tbsp. p./gal. of soil) of the Gaia Green 2-8-4 Power Bloom along with 4 cups of worm castings to each pot and tilled it into the soil using my hands and watered with fish shit to inoculate everything. Currently these girls are getting a half gallon of water every other day which seems to be keeping them very happy. I have had to run a large de-humidifier to keep the humidity down in the grow room, it’s been a battle to keep everything under 55%. Overall I’m super stoked about the grow. The frost on these girls is unreal and I’m getting some great smells out of the tent. 3.5-4 weeks until harvest.

We are through 7 weeks of flower with these girls and I think the photos speak for themselves. The frost level is fantastic and they are packing on weight (especially the Big League and Apple Cup). What the Nana Glue and Nana Cake lack in yield will more then make up with frost levels as they are the frostiest of the two. These girls will get some fish shit and one more recharge feeding this week but after that nothing but water ph’d to 6.5 until finish. Harvest day can’t come soon enough for these girls.

Today marks day 60 of flower for these girls. I was out of town for the 4th so I bought a rainpoint Wi-Fi watering system which worked great. Easy to hook up to the Wi-Fi, set up timers through the app and The watering amount was consistent and even per plant so it was easy to calibrate the amount of water applied per minute. After 5 days gone I came home to happy well watered plants. I did have to add some plant yo-yo’s to the big league as they were starting to fall over due to excessive weight. Everything I’ve read/seed regarding flower time says between 9.5-10 weeks so these girls are close to harvest. The Big League has a beautiful purple fade across all of the outer leaves and the Nana Glue and Wedding cake x BBC is starting to purp out as well. The Apple Cup has had light purpling since week 5 but it doesn’t appear that it will go much further. We are no longer adding any nutrients and feedings consists of straight water pH’d to 6.5. I will start monitoring trichomes later this week in anticipation of harvest.

We’re are a full 9 weeks into flower and nearing the finish for these ladies. The Big League has needed the help of plant yo-yos to keep her stalks standing upright and has a beautiful purple fade through the top canopy. This is one great looking plant and will probably be the first to get harvested. As for the other three girls they are slowly starting to fade out and turn purple as well but no where near as pronounced as the big league. I can pleasantly say that my estimate on yield has gone way up the last few weeks as I was originally thinking I’d get around a half to 3/4 of a lb of smokable nugs and now I am fairly confident I’ll be closer to the 3/4-1lb mark as these buds have swelled considerably. Strictly watering to a pH of 6.5 with no additives as I’ve been doing the last 7 days and will continue until harvest. I will be scoping the trichomes later this week in anticipation of harvest, but after 17 weeks of grow time I can tell you I am in no rush. *Also I did lower the LED’s in the grow tent down to 75% at the start of this week to mimic the diminishing light intensity during the fall, not sure if this is bro science but I’ve read some positive things about it so figured why not give it a try*

just found your diaries! epic stuff. lots to learn... my grows are dog shit compared to this
GolfandWeed
GolfandWeedcommented3 years ago
@BonesJones123, I use Govee humidity monitors in my tents. They are the little white square puck like things you see hanging in my tents. For $35 they connect to your wifi and through your phone you can monitor RH, Temp, Dew Point and VPD for up to 30 days. As for the second part of your comment bio biz has a good reputation and I’ve seen some great results from people using it so I wouldn’t worry about that. I just prefer dry amendments because it’s way less work and I don’t like having to mix bottle nutes. As for genetics, environment and maintaining a consistent feeding schedule. Those are probably the three most important things you can do right to increase the quality of your grows. Go to any greenhouse, conservatory, indoor garden and the first thing you will notice is the environment is perfectly dialed in to the proper temp and rh. Your grow room should be no different.
BonesJones123
BonesJones123commented3 years ago
@GolfandWeed, I have a little thermo/hygro meter that shows me how variable my environment is. Have an outline plan to get an arduino kit and work with the kids to develop basically an inkbird controller and google sheets data logger for live "away from home" tracking of the environment. that's probably a 2023 project at this point, but definitely a problem i have. although, it's hard to know which upgrade will improve my yield the best. another step up in genetics?, move away from bio-bizz?, stabilize environment with arduino?, eliminate the couple of really bad days I've had forgetting to water/... there's a bunch of things i know aren't up to snuff.
GolfandWeed
GolfandWeedcommented3 years ago
@BonesJones123, that’s key. I push 70% humidity the first two weeks of life. All with the help of a humidifier. Finally can run grows with out one during the spring but in 3-4 weeks I’ll be running the dehumidifier. Environment is always changing where I live. All my tents are hooked up to ink bird RH controllers to keep everything dialed in.

Awesome grow! I run practically the same thing minus the fish shit. Im assuming you just use that as a compost tea? If so how often do you use it? Im currently in week 4 of my grape glaze by square one super impressed
GolfandWeed
GolfandWeedcommented3 years ago
@Probation2Propagation, I’m only 7.5 days into the hang/dry so I won’t get them trimmed and weighed until Sunday/Monday at the earliest. My post harvest guess was a little over a lb. of smokable nugs not including larf/trim which 7 days into the dry I’m going to stick with it. Best of luck with the pheno hunt, you got some good strains to do it with.

@GolfandWeed, will keep an eye out for that grow! What was your final dry weight? I copped the g-rolls and gr8pe nuts. But will end up running some apple cup/wedding cake x bbc/ my bbc s1 pheno hunt.

@Probation2Propagation, I use the Fish Shit at 5 mL per gallon EVERY watering starting week 2 until the last 2 weeks of flower. I kind of bought into the hype around it from the beginning when I started growing and have never not used it. After the quality of this last grow I can’t really start not using it. Lol. These SQ1 genetics are legit. From the few tester nugs I’ve smoked I’m beyond impressed. All 4 of these plants were easy to grow and are straight fire. I just planted some Nanz, Goodie Bag, Rainbow Sorbet, Diamond Handz, and GRCxBBC F2’s. Not sure I’ll grow anything else besides SQ1/RobinHood to be honest.

GolfandWeed
GolfandWeedcommented3 years ago
@GreenLanternCorps, I know for a fact I won’t get that much out of this grow. I’d be happy with a half pound of smokable flower not counting shake. I grow all of this for personal smoke so quantity is the last of my goals. As for the crazy growth after the switch to flower be ready to expect that same growth for the next 4 weeks. These things just went nuts after the switch. Pretty much was a daily battle defoliating and moving branches through the trellis. And as for the genetics so far I’m in love with everything I’ve seen so far. Super healthy plants, grow like crazy, easy to grow and now I’m in flower and their the frostiest plants I’ve grown by far.
GreenLanternCorps
GreenLanternCorpscommented3 years ago
@GolfandWeed, I have about 4 nana glue plants that I just put into flower, with the next 4 plants going into flower after this week. I had some crazy explosive growth and I had to move them over to the flowering tent to make room for some new clones. I have been defoliating and lollipopping my plants to force some big nugs on the node sites. I am looking to get about a 2 pounds of smokeable flower. I don't really measure my shake, I have a pollen tumbler and I'm hoping to get about 30g to 100g of descent (hopefully) full melt hash....then put the rest in the bho rig. We should definitely compare numbers and notes when I'm done. In comparison to some of my other genetics these square one and Robinhood seeds are pretty robust.

@GreenLanternCorps, that makes two of us. This is my first time growing these genetics so I can only guess but I would be happy with 3-4 ounces of smokeable nugs and around an ounce of shake per plant putting me around a pound total.

Is that a 2x2 tent? Your grow is just like mine

@UsedCarSalesmanGenetics, I started these girls out in a 2x2 with a TS1000 for about 3-4 weeks. They’ve since been moved into my 3.25x3.25 with an FC-E3000. I keep them in a smaller tent as seedlings because it’s easier to maintain 80 degrees and 70% rh for the first 2 weeks and then bump them up to the bigger tent with a bigger light for late veg/flower.

@GolfandWeed, with 1 ts1000? I should have got a bigger tent

@Nrthrnlghts, Just planted some Nanz, Goodie Bag, Rainbow Sorbet, Diamond Handz and GRCxBBC F2’s. Will be running a RobinHood seeds tent and a SQ1 tent. SQ1 will be in 7 gallon pots with a 6-8 week Veg. The RobinHood seeds will be in 5 gallon pots with a 4-6 week veg.

Nice! I've got one the wedding cake flowering now with 3 from robinhood and a couple other varieties. The frost is insane! I can't wait to get to the others I have. Good luck with the grow! ✌️
the end.
