These are all in various states. The two that have had a corn worm blow through are still doing decent.
You can see the damage to the stalk on Z2. This was done to kill the worm before it blows out the side as a moth.
I have always had the plant live through the initial attack and survive fine post blow through.
However if I can prevent the escape the plants seem to do much better having not gone through the trauma. I usually use two methods after I spot a worm hole. Either coat hanger up the hole after it or razor punctures every 3/4 to an inch to kill the invader.
I have tried every organic against corn worms with no success. I am also very remiss to use my Bayer high level because of the bee damage. They are bordering on threatened in my area and farms routinely truck in bees during the early spring to sustain local crop production. Using a blanket pesticide is not something I feel comfortable with.
The tallest of the 3 has certainly put a stretch on and I feel great that it will produce a decent amount. No heavy fragrance yet.
These just started to flower tho. These 3 are probably the furthest behind.
