I had to top Luke and get some branches going. Otherwise he would be 7 foot and thin. Leia is constantly pulling good growth as well. Colder weather has not bothered them at all.

The only thing I can think of is to remove real weeds from around your plants. Then maybe put some plastic on the ground around them. Try and keep the humidity off of them. Not sure what your security worries are. Your in a tough spot, have to work with the cards you been dealt. You did a nice job and I wish you the best of luck.

I have used sand in the past. However the heavy rains have kept it really green in the NH this year so it’s a pretty dead give away to thieves or the constabulary. One of these had to come down the other day. Too much bud rot moving in.
