Started light nutes, using half recommended amount. Ocean Forest runoff indicates the need to feed now. Performed deformation and LST. Plant responded well. I previously used Grobo's Grow Journal. The app was wonderful and had a previous grow diary and this current grow, as I am new to this. I had so much great information in this application. All my numbers and notes for PPM, EC, PH, temps, RH, settings etc.and nutes. Sadly, Grobo filed bankruptcy and abandoned the application. Suddenly, my application stopped working. Such a great loss. So here I am starting over and without any notes from Grobo. I really should just fire up Excel and create the diary there, but I will use this nice looking application and go for another ride. Glad to be here, always jumped on and browsed for information...great site for sure!

Needed water more quickly than expected. I want to edit my comments from week 5, but don't know how...lol. anyway they look and smell great. The two in front are Watermelon Zkittles and the 2 in the back are clone from a Purple Punch plant. There are two clones in one pot and three in the other. They will go outside soon, or remain in the tent, should they respond nicely to the light change. All seeds were collected from friends and consumables at totally random events and no one in my circle are growers...fun to find seeds in your grinder that made it through the process unharmed. So this being my second grow ever, I am hopeful. I just want organic product and its fun. So basically I am saying...dont expect much, cuz I am just learning. Stay happy and healthy.

Thank you to all offering help and encouragement. Watered with 1 gallon each including supplements for Cal/Mag and Manganese. Other fertilizers are covered in diary. Looks good and healthy in the tent this week. Not knowing what I am doing is always fun, but with some of the information I have found on the internet, it appears that I should put these babies into flowering stage next Monday. Any thoughts? Both strains seeds came from product I purchased and they fell thru the grinder unharmed. Having said that the Purple Punch, in the rear of tent, and the Watermelon Zkittles, front of tent, are both from found seeds. That alone leads me to the conclusion that 3 to 4 weeks of vegetation state are sufficient, and now it's time to flip the switch to flowering stage. Photo period or Auto...don't know and its something to consider, as I take this next step. Internet says Auto does not depend on light schedule...and photo period does. So this will be interesting. Next Monday I will reduce light time by one hour a night to create a transition period to full 12/12 light schedule. I will start a full feeding schedule as well. The Fox Farms Ocean Forest has now lost its included fertilizer, which fed them for about 5 weeks, so then I started lite feeding. Friday April 29, 2022: I removed the last bit of fan leaves and will not prune again until deep into flowering stage, if applicable. Just readying up for transition week, then full flip to 12/12 lighting schedule. Any advice is appreciated. Hope for the best.

Looks like plants are doing well with the transition in lighting schedule, which included me reducing light by one half hour a night until I reach a 12 hour on/off lighting schedule. I defoliated one plant that exploded and might need to do the other of the two Watermelon Zkittles plants for the same reason. Watered with 4 gallons of water including Cal/Mag and Manganese. 1 gallon per plant. 5/4/2022 So yes, I had to trim some fan leaves off the other Watermelon Zkittles plant today. They are growing like weeds...lol. In: PH 6.47 PPM 1070 EC 2112 OUT: PH 6.69 PPM 1721 EC 3474 5/5/2022 Watered with 2 gallons including Cal/Mag and Manganese. Half gallon a plant. No nutes cuz according to the internet I am already hot. See the chart I added to pictures. Then look at my history...I am new, but it looks like I need to get the salt out of roots. Just learning is all...with mistakes lol. In PH 6.11 PPM 392 EC 774 Out No measurable runoff to take readings. Some, but not enough for accuracy. Please advise if you wish. 5/7/2022 Their really taking up water now. I watered with 4 gallons, 1 gallon for each plant. No nutes, only Cal/Mag and Manganese to supplement RO water. I am still in transition with the lighting schedule as I reduce by 1/2 hour a night. Plants look great. Just worried about runoff and salts in roots. This is when they need nutes the most, but my numbers were high, so I am trying to correct and get good numbers and then start feeding. If I am wrong then please let me know. All that being said, I don't see any problems with the plants, and they look tremendous, but I am a newbie so... In PH 6.1 PPM 399 EC 792 Out PH 6.7 PPM 987 EC 1974 According to my chart in the pictures, my numbers are good now. So, next watering will include nutes.

Watered with 1 gallon each. No trimming or training. Stopped using Big Bloom and started using Fish Shit. I was happy with my numbers from the last watering, but they seem high now...again. They look great and healthy. New pictures to come tonight. In PH 6.12 PPM 1795 EC 3572 Out PH 6.46 PPM 2133 EC 4312 5/13/2022 Watered 1 gallon each plant with zero nutrients. Only added Cal/Mag and Manganese. I defoliated and performed LST to open up canopy. I added elevation to the pot sitting on the left side in the back of tent to keep its lower canopy at the same height as the other three. I like the progress but stress at the numbers I see for PPM and EC. They seem inline now...I hope!? In PH 6.31 PPM 410 EC 812 Out PH 6.61 PPM 1286 EC 2572

Monday May 16, 2022 Watered with 1.5 gallons each. No nutes, only Cal/Mag and Manganese. In PH 6.3 PPM 385 EC 772 Out PH 7.5 PPM 1885 EC 3786 PH has been a problem. I was shocked to see my readings for the runoff. My Deionized Water and calibration supplies are coming today. I intend to calibrate my two meters. I just replaced my RO filters. Low output was a clear indicator my filters needed changing. Plus my PH kept climbing. After changing, I am experiencing problems. If this continues I will purchase Distilled Water until the service is completed on my RO system and all is one with the Gods of Water. You may notice two planters missing. The Purple Punch plants were males. They are now retired. In addition, the weather is now warmer and more humid and only going to get better. This is great for us, but the tent is struggling to maintain temperature/humidity. I had to move the Mean Well Drivers, for the Mars Hydro LED Light, to the exterior of the tent to keep heat down. The basement, where my tent is, has hi humidity as my Dehumidifier is also on it's last breath. New one coming today. Plants look great, but NOT loving my numbers. Calibration of the two meters is absolutely necessary. Performed the last defoliation and adjusted LST in an effort to open canopy and create an even playing field for all colas. I included a screenshot of my AC INFINITY Controllers, which provide very useful information in real time. May 16, 2022 I have confirmed my PH meter is no longer reading accurately and will not calibrate. I have ordered the APERA INSTRUMENTS AI209-T Value Series PH20 pH Tester Combo Kit...hope it lives up to the reviews. May 17, 2022 Well now...you need to understand that this is only my second grow and I have much to learn. It seems the Watermelon Zkittles thru me for a loop. One is/was a male... he is now in my juicer. I am baffled as to why it is so difficult for me to sex my plants. Only one day later and it was obvious, but hell I would have swore it was a female only two days ago. Okay so I got away with this one, thankfully! New Dehumidifier is in place. New PH Meter expected tomorrow. Images are in three groups respectively: 1 LED Light at 100%, camera flash enabled. 2 LED Light at 25%, camera flash enabled. 3 LED Light at 25%, camera flash disabled. I appreciate your patience with regard to my photography skills. Only my second grow and FIRST and only social presence. Having said that, one must surmise that with continued effort and commitment, my content presentation should improve. Additionally, it should be noted (please see first week comments) that the original intent was to use this as a tool for me to track and improve my growing techniques. But then I realized that it is also a way for me to give back to the same community that has helped me. So I want to provide content that illustrates my journey with this and future grows, in an effort to help others by sharing all the good and bad. I will work to improve, both for you and myself. May 18, 2022 Apera AI209-T PH20 is in use and accurate. My RO water is perfect, as I expected. May 19, 2022 Removed fan leaves and applied LST to even canopy height and coverage. Did not need watering, which confuses me, as she is pretty consistent and needs it every three days. I have been fighting humidity. In order to turn over the the entire volume of air in the tent every three minutes, I have to maintain a level of exhaust out of the tent at a pretty good clip...thus removing the humidity as well as heat and stale air. So I have added a second humidifier to the tent. I keep the surrounding area of the tent, my basement, at a level that helps the tent and keeps my home safe, but that is a delicate balance based on what is going on inside the tent. So I think you get the idea...home and health first, then cannabis. So this required some flexibility and frequent looks at my data throughout the day. Then I adjust accordingly. In all, I think I am on the right track and the second humidifier should make things alot less stressful during these last weeks, but not without a couple more refills a day. My target VPD for early flowering stage is 1.2. Once I move into mid to late flowering stage I will target 1.5. This is based off the Leaf Temperature and not the canopy or tent temperatures. May 21. 2022 Watered 1 gallon PH 6.2 straight up RO water to check runoff before feeding, as last numbers were frightening as a result of a bad PH pen...don't try to save money on test equipment, as it may cost you more in the long run. I am ordering a new PPM/EC meter as well. Numbers were respectable so I watered with 1.5 gallons of water and nutrients. I removed training aids from the plant and repositioned canopy for even height and proper air circulation. I still use metal anchors to manipulate stalks into place, but removed the white 90 degree stalk benders, that were in place to train stalks to bend 90 degrees. Cal/Mag, Manganese and: 3 Tsp Grow Big 3 Tsp Tiger Bloom 1 Tsp Fish Shit In PH 6.0 PPM 1885 EC 3754 Out PH 6.0 PPM 1819 EC 3638 May 22, 2022 Placed my Mean Well Drivers back inside the tent. I was not able to realize a Surface Leaf Temperature (LST) differential in my tent with regard to canopy temperature. Ideally you should realize a SLT drop of anywhere from 3 to 5 degrees differential from canopy temperature, using Full Spectrum LED Lighting. As these are the ideal conditions for ideal VPD target numbers. I included a conversation as the first link, which references the second provided link to the article. Also provided is great general read on VPD. https://overgrow.com/t/why-we-should-be-running-higher-temps-for-led-lights/43697 https://www.blackdogled.com/pages/lst https://pulsegrow.com/blogs/learn/vpd#what-plants-do-at-night

May 23, 2022 No watering today. I carefully managed canopy height and position to increase light coverage and even up canopy height. I typically perform this just before I water, as the plant is more flexible and pliable. But, it was not ready for water, so I very carefully manipulated the plant into submission. Pictures are as before. 1- Full light no flash 2- Fully dimmed light no flash 3- Fully dimmed light with flash More to come... May 25, 2022 Watered with pure RO water, no supplements or nutrients. I used 2.5 gallons. I checked my numbers in the runoff and they look sorta good so I will review before I feed next time, because I checked my resources and my EC and PPM are still a little high. In PH 6.O PPM 39 EC 74 Out PH 6.3 PPM 1532 EC 2982 May 28, 2022 I decided to flush the salts from my roots. The last watering did help but today I ran 5 gallons thru the soil and feel much better about my PPM and EC numbers. My only concern is that she is indicating she needs some Cal/Mag and Manganese, which is typically added to all of my waterings, but not the last two waterings I performed. I am confident she will be in better shape in three days when I water with light nutrients and supplements. I attached a chart for reference in the picture section. No watering today. They look and smell great. I did a little leaf tucking, but not much, as they are spread out pretty well. I see a tiny indication of supplement deficiencies, as the last two waterings were part of a flush and I didn't add Cal/Mag or Manganese, just straight up RO water. So, she will need these in her next feeding, which will be tomorrow or Wednesday. The pictures are all at lowest light setting. Some with/without flash and some with pro settings as I try to find the best way to capture what is really happening with the plant at that specific time. May 31, 2022 Finished the flush with 2 more gallons of straight up RO water. The numbers came out great so after the flush I fed her with lite nutrients and necessary supplements, using one gallon of water. I do not have enough capacity in my RO system to perform the flush in one sitting so I spread it out over time, but I intend to increase my capacity with an additional tank in the future. I do not recommend what I did. Here is the solution if you don't have enough RO water. Just go to any store and purchase gallons of Distilled water. Check PH and PPM before flushing just to be sure, but problem solved. I did some more leaf tucking and a little LST to keep canopy open. Below are the numbers for the last feeding. I attached the PPM/EC Chart for reference. As you can see, my numbers are inline now. If you compare the Flush numbers with the Feeding numbers you will see the correction. FLUSH NUMBERS In PH 6.02 PPM 42 EC 84 Out PH 6.42 PPM 876 EC 1712 FEEDING NUMBERS In PH 5.92 PPM 1168 EC 2350 Out PH 6.14 PPM 933 EC 1934 June 2, 2022 I had to raise the light height, as I was getting leaf tip burn. Very minimal, but better safe than sorry. Watered today with 2 gallons pure RO water to complete my flush, although I am confident it is the WRONG way to flush. I know better but was unprepared. FLUSH NUMBERS In PH 6.02 PPM 96 EC 136 Out PH 6.52 PPM 717 EC 1005 I then followed with a feeding of 1.5 gallons of RO water with: Cal/Mag 1.5 tsp Manganese .75 tsp Tiger Bloom 3 tsp Grow Big 3 tsp Fish Shit 1 tsp Molasses 2 Tbsp FEEDING NUMBERS In PH 6.16 PPM 98 EC 131 Out PH 6.14 PPM 979 EC 1385 Next watering will include full feeding. I am hoping my numbers will look a little hotter next time. June 5, 2022 Watered with 2 gallons RO water and the following nutrients and supplements: Cal/Mag 2 tsp Manganese 1 tsp Tiger Bloom 4 tsp Grow Big 4 tsp Fish Shit 2 tsp Molasses 2 Tbsp FEEDING NUMBERS In PH 6.22 PPM 1420 EC 2000 Out PH 6.04 PPM 1620 EC 2280

"Poll" question...how many of us spend enormous time caring for our plants. Checking temperatures, humidity, water, nutrients, air turnover, light, canopy, VPD, pests, supplements and just about everything...all the time!? Maybe it gets easier with better equipment/knowledge lol.

It depends on the size of farm. I had grows with 200+ plants and i made it automatic so i would'nt have to spend lots of time on them. Neighter did some LST, only some topping. but i also have grows with like 5-25plants and i do it all manualy with techniques, which takes a lot of time, but i really love to do it.

All watering information is based off of June 5 watering, including nutrients, supplements and numbers from In/Out. She looks okay, but I am concerned about the brown spots. Spring/Early Summer weather has me keeping a close eye on her environment. We have experienced some very extreme temperatures and humidity fluctuations and it keeps me busy. Although my basement is a great place for the tent, it does have a few challenges. And yes, it does fluctuate in temperatures and humidity, unless I stay on top of my Dehumidifier and heat. Not a huge effort, but keeping the environment stable in the area where the tent is helps in regulating the tents internal environment. Here are the numbers from yesterday's feeding. This week and Monday's entry include June 5 feeding which occurred one day before I entered this information in week 13. June 5, 2022 Watered with 2 gallons RO water and the following nutrients and supplements: Cal/Mag 2 tsp Manganese 1 tsp Tiger Bloom 4 tsp Grow Big 4 tsp Fish Shit 2 tsp Molasses 2 Tbsp FEEDING NUMBERS In PH 6.22 PPM 1420 EC 2000 Out PH 6.04 PPM 1620 EC 2280 June 7, 2022 Thanks for responding to my leaf question. I posted two charts to provide some evidence of the PH level challenges. As you can see they do not entirely agree. There are several other examples but not necessary for my purpose as these two do the job. In my experience I have tried to maintain a PH level of no more than 6.3. This is good for vegetative stage but not for flowering stage. I will now shoot for 6.5. Hoping for the best and thanks. June 8, 2022 Watered with 2 gallons RO water with the following supplements: Cal/Mag 2 tsp Manganese 1tsp I added trichome pictures for review. Let me know your opinions on the progress. I am a newbie and they look clear to me. Here are the numbers... hey there Tremojem, i have to disagree with all my growmies on this one. Your flush worked really well and made the problem worse (before it would have made it better), basically you're adding several full doses of micronutrients , which raised the amount of calcium in the medium a lot and it caused a lock out. The flush was the right move , the only problem is calcium lockout takes a while to stabilize (5-10 days!) so when you gave nutrients again, especially micronutrients, it cancelled the recovery and the plant got worse. Right now you have to identify which of your nutrients contains calmag (i count 4!) and remove three, i would retain only bush doctor calmag. Water until runoff then water 10% more every time you water to get rid of the excess nutrients for two weeks. Hopefully that will be enough without doing a flush. Do this and your plant should recover in ten days. Hope this helps ! 🚀

my analysis is that you are focusing on the trichs covering the sugar leaves which is a wrong move. those are gonna get trimmed anyway. you have to focus on the actual calyxes but this point is moot at this point because after looking at the pics in your diary those plants are nowhere near being done yet. all white pistils. at least a month?

Okay, so my apologies for the pictures of sugar leaves. Here is a new set of pictures from today, June 10, 2022. I only used two colas, and only recorded the calyx and some pistils. I think she needs a little longer??? Thank you for your opinion.

It all really comes down to which way you like your weed. A more cloudy/Amber lady lands more on the indica stone and vice versa. But ye, it's done. A weeks worth of flushing will finish her off. Pull her off everything unless you have a finisher or you can cut her diet in half and feed for half the week and give water for the rest. Don't flush to get run off just soft flushing and let her eat what's left in the sub and hang dry her whole. 24-36hrs dark rest after you have flushed and you can water her few hours befor harvest to prolong drying time, but only if its hung dry whole as the plant will draw in all those sugars and all that good stuff. Good luck bro

June 13, 2022 Watered with 3 gallons RO water with nutrients and supplements as listed above. I used very little nutrients and supplements and will no longer provide any more feedings moving forward. I am thinking 2 weeks and she should be ready. When I use the jeweler's loupe I get better information than the microscope and it indicates she is close to ready to harvest. I will check daily, in the morning, afternoon and evening. Smells incredible and is very sticky! New pics posted June 14, 2022. Feeding Numbers In PH 6.63 TDS 865 EC 1222 Out PH 6.33 TDS 1120 EC 1566 June 16, 2022 Watered with 2 gallons RO water with the following nutrients and supplements. Cal/Mag 1 tsp Manganese 1/2 tsp Fish Shit 2 tsp It is my assumption that next week or the week thereafter, I will harvest, and so I decided to move slowly into the permaflush...lol, instead of denying her altogether too early. At this rate I will have another two to four waterings to really flush with. So at this point I am not concerned. Lite Feeding Numbers In PH 6.51 PPM 227 EC 320 Out PH 6.52 PPM 837 EC 1170 June 18, 2022 Watered with 3 gallons of RO water with no nutrients or supplements. She smells and looks great. More visible orange/brown pistils and more visible opaque/cloudy trichomes, but not excessive and very little visible increase in gold/yellow trichomes, but there are a few. Overall, I predict next week for the earliest and the following week for the latest date to harvest. The microscope I used earlier needs some more work as the jeweler's loupe really defined where my plant was with regard to harvest and the microscope threw me off. So maybe I'll get another one that is better, or just use jeweler's loupe. Watering Numbers In PH 6.63 TDS 89.7 EC 126.7 Out PH 6.67 TDS 490 EC 690

This completes the flush, as the runoff numbers are great. She will get her 12 hours of sun today and then immediately followed by darkness for 36 hours, then hang whole. Still reading up on finishing techniques so I have time to decide whether or not 36 hours of darkness are beneficial. Watering Numbers In PH 6.57 TDS 54.8 EX 77.2 Out PH 6.94 TDS 108 EX 152.7

Great plant. First set of pics are 36 hours before harvest. Second set of pics are minutes after cutting and hanging. Each day below represents changes throughout the day both in temperature and humidity respectively. 6.26.22 Temperature 77 Humidity 51-54 6.27.22 Temperature 78, 77, 76 Humidity 51-54, 49-52, 48-50 6.28.22 Temperature 76, 76, 76, 76 Humidity 49-51, 45-46, 47-49, 48-49 6.29.22 Temperature 75, 75, 74, 74, 75 Humidity 47-49, 47-48, 49-50, 50-51, 50-51 Reduced air speed on both floor fans. No changes to the clip on fans, located at top circulating the air around flowers. Vortex @ medium (North end angled up to center) and Tiger @ low (South end angled up to center). Checked one of the thinnest stems, and there is still flexibility in the stem. They are progressing nicely and smell incredible. Tonight I will lower Dehumidifier settings from 50 RH to 45 RH. 6.30.22 Dehumidifier is set to 45 RH. Temperature 74, 74, 75 Humidity 50-52, 47-48, 46-47 7/1/2022 I just checked my plant and two stalks snapped easily. I will now place a few larger buds in a mason jar with a hygrometer and check in 24 hours for RH level. If RH is above 55, I will continue the dry for another day or two. Once I reach the desired RH level of 55 +/- a couple points, I will dry trim and the cure in Mason jars. So for fun I checked the buds and I didn't need 24 hours. They are sitting at 51 RH. So, I dry trimmed it all and placed in four 32 ounce mason jars with a Boveda 62% RH packet. I also placed a hygrometer in each jar. I will monitor the RH and strive for 58-62 RH for curing. Really took me by surprise as I intended for a slow dry over 10 days, but I will say this, I have excellent air circulation and exhaust so this should not be too bad...I hope! Another point, as I got closer to the tips, where the bud concentrated, I noticed a little more flexibility in the stems. So I am not worried about too dry or mold...lucky me! The buds did not feel hard and dry, but firm and maybe a little spongey, as I didn't want to be aggressive while checking. The smell was INCREDIBLE and my trimmers and gloves were glue laden...lol. I was very careful to try to only touch the stems and not flowers, but I still got sticky. Lots fun still... Temperature 75, 76, 76 Humidity 46-47, 47-48, 50-52
