First of all: ANY comments and criticisms are welcome. We have never grown and we just have to learn. Setup: Grow box: 2x2x6 / Vents TT100 with carbon filter / Mars Hydro TS1000 / 10 liter Dwc bucket (so small) / Hailea 9610 air pump (so big) / Atami and GHE nutrients. First time my girlfriend and I try to cultivate and decided to do it in DWC. The starting conditions are not optimal, we do not use osmotic water and the temperatures are already high and will continue to rise in the next two months. We wanted to wait until September to start, but I was too eager to experiment and I started earlier. Further unenviable conditions are the high humidity (over 80%) of the small lung room and some electrical problems, that's why we will hardly keep the TS1000 at 100%, but I think it will max 75% for 20 hour cycles to reach optimal / decent DLI anyway (around 30-40 DLI should be enough). Probably from the next crop, the grow box will move to another house and have fewer problems with humidity and electricity. Special thanks to a user of this community, SwissKush, who helped me with so many tips. [Day 1] - 1/6/22 - TEMP: 23° C; RH: 75%-85% / Tap water EC 0.3 / Glass of water with 0.5 ml of H2O2, EC 0.3, inserted seed / Rockwool bathed with 0.1 ml of rootbastic, EC 0.35, corrected PH at 5.9; - After 20 hours I inserted the seed in rock wool with a little water on the bottom; closed in a food bag (to retain moisture). [Day 2] - 2/6/22 - To be safe, decided to germinate another Hulkberry Auto seed. If both suits succeed, I'll have to make an important decision: A) keep the plant that seems in better shape and throw the other one; B) try to grow both seedlings in the same DWC; C) add a second 10lt DWC bucket. I will most likely choose the first option so I keep things simple but decide when the time comes. - Put the container with the cubes in the Grow Box and for the moment the light is off. TEMP: 24° C; RH: 90% - From tomorrow I was thinking of turning on the lamp at 60cm and dimming to the minimum to direct the plants and not make them lack light when they pop out. [Day 3] - 3/6/22 - Turned on the TS1000, dimmer 10%, distance 75 cm. TEMP: 26°/27° - RH: 90/95%. Removed the lamp driver due to the heat, really high when the lamp is on [Day 4] - 4/6/22 - In the morning the first seed has germinated, with some difficulty because it's blocked by the rock wool. I will use root riot next time. Moistened with a solution of tap water, 0.1 ml/L rootbastic, 1 ml/L H202, EC 0.36, PH 5.5. - 28/29 ° C, 70/80% RH. Light till tomorrow at 5 pm and then 18/6 cycle. - TS1000 - 25%/75cm. [Day 5] - 5/6/22 - 29° C, 50% - TS1000 - 50%/75cm - The heat generated by the lamp causes the humidity to collapse and increases temperatures so much. The situation is not that great, tomorrow I will hire a mist maker to try to improve the environmental conditions. [Day 6] - 6/6/22 - 27° C, 50/60% - To try to give a cooler and more humid environment I decided to move the seedling already in the DWC (with solution 0.6) and I added a small dome to try to retain the humidity. - Today I buy a mist maker and let's see how it goes [Day 7] - 7/6/22 - Added 3ml of H2o2 due to the high temperatures. Prevention is better than cure. - In the next few days I will try to keep the temperature of the solution lower, which at the moment is around 27 °, but I still need a couple of things to buy. - As for humidity and temperature, I am getting decent results by adding a mist maker to a basin full of water (next I will also decant the water). - At the moment the situation is 28 ° C, 66% (not quite perfect, but better than before). - The seedling seems to grow, maybe it is stretching too much? - I just moved the lamp to 65cm, 50% dimmer. - The prohibitive temperatures do not allow me to further increase the power of the lamp. - I also note that the PH tends to rise and needs to be corrected twice a day. Perhaps this too because of the temperature. It will be a real challenge to keep these problems at bay for my first crop. No one to blame but oneself, He who makes his bed must lie in it. [Day 8] - 8/6/22 -Thanks to the mist maker, the temperature and humidity situation is under control. You begin to see the second pair of leaves. For the moment everything is going well, later it will certainly be more difficult to keep temperature and humidity at bay. -At the moment the lamp is always 60 cm from the LEDs and dimmer 50% = 75watt. I see how it goes, but tomorrow I will bring it to 50cm to try to give it more light. Cycle always 20/4. -I made solution EC 0.5 - PH 5.5. I will spray it several times a day on the substrate. [Day 9] - 9/6/22 - The tips of the leaves appear to turn yellow, any deficiency? - Moved lamp at 50cm, 50% dimmer - - 27°C, 65%; [Day 10] - 10/6/22 - Lamp still at 50cm / 50% dimmer - Tomorrow I will move it ad 40cm, still 50% dimmer for the time being; - Temp: 25°/27.5° - RH: 60%/85%; - The second pair of true leaves is slowly growing. I hope everything goes well; - During the day I watered the expanded clay with a liter of solution EC 0.6 - PH 6 [Day 11] - 11/6/22 - Lamp at 40cm / 50% dimmer; - Temp: 24°/27° - RH: 60%/80%; - The second pair of true leaves is STILL SLOWLY growing. I hope everything goes faster in coming days; - During the day I'll water the expanded clay with 100ml (and not more as yesterday) of solution EC 0.6 - PH 6 (A friend suggested water the plant less to avoid problems) [Day 12] - 12/6/22 - Lamp at 40cm / 50% dimmer; - Temp: 24°/27° - RH: 60%/80%; The problems begin. 😓 I found some jelly stuff under the mesh pot. Most likely they are chelated nutrients and not well dissolved in the solution. This is definitely due to too much watering two days ago and a bad mix on my part. I panicked, guilty! I sterilized the system and tried to clean the red mesh jar as well as possible. Not all the material has been washed, there is still some but I cannot remove it. In the next few days I will do some more washing at PH 6 and low EC to try to wash away the residues. I was also oxygenating the solution too much and for this reason I reduced the power of the air pump. Too much oxygen in the water definitely raises the PH values. Damn oxygen!!! 😡 Despite all my mistakes, the plant continues to grow slowly. Really slowly, but given the circumstances, perhaps it is better not to complain. Thanks to the community members for coming to my aid when I needed it. [Day 13] - 13/6/22 - TEMP: 27°-29° C - RH: 50%-60% - Problems never ends - Brown stains on the leaves. Do I need CalMag? Open a growquestion on it; - At 1 AM I moved TS1000 to 50cm / 80% dimmer: 120 watt. After that, plant growed fast but shows the brown stains. [Day 14] - 14/6/22 - TEMP: 29° C - RH: 50%-60%; - First root in the pool.

DWC - white stuff under the pot. What's this?

It could be 2 reasons: 1. chelated minerals, sometimes minerals dont mix well together and cause this to gel substance to happen, you will need to make sure there are no foul smells. I would change the DWC nutrients with less minerals maybe .25 ml/L. 2. rockwool rot, "Rotwool" from overwatering the rockwool, you will smell a noticeable foul smell. If you DO smell a stinky or rotten smell, its time to start over with new seed. Most likely chelated, or gelled minerals if there is no stink smell.

Could be a few things: a. dried water droplets from humidity too high or making the mistake of spraying plants this young b. PH problems with the Rockwool cube. Typically rockwool cubes are PH 9 or 10 and it takes a soaking them in PH 5.5 water for at least 3 days to bring it down within a range that your plants can uptake minerals with. It has taken me 6 days before to achieve this. If your PH of the cube is too high, your plant will struggle with its uptake of nitrogen and other core growing minerals... just because your DWC water tells you the PH is within range, it doesn't mean the PH around the new stem is fine...If you soaked your Rockwool cubes for 3+ days you should be fine, but if not you will have a bad growing experience without any yield. c. overwatering, top watering 1L at a time, and improperly spraying is very excessive, and will cause your water levels to creep up within the basket causing rot and other unpleasantries. d. improperly using Mineral Magic with young plants will burn them causing brown spots... mineral magic should be used with the 3rd node of leaves is present. I am sure the issues here are a combination of the scenarios above. Roots should be in the pool day ~6 - 10.

We are 15 days after sowing. Yesterday I was going to clean the red basket with clay because that white jelly is still visible but to my surprise I saw that a small root came out of the basket and ended up in the DWC. I am happy that little root has come out despite all my mistakes but I really don't know how to permanently remove that white jelly. Will I have to keep it forever? Certainly some gelatine ends up inside the DWC creating some problems of EC and PH. Among other things, the PH continues to rise constantly and a lot, perhaps also because until yesterday I was watering the clay and rockwool from above (which have high PH and this affects the PH in the DWC?). And part of the problem is certainly the high temperature of the solution, 25 ° - 26 ° [Day 15] - 15/6/22 - TS1000 = 50cm away and 80% dimmer; - TEMP is fixed around 29° and does not go further only thanks to the humidifier that manages to keep the humidity stable around 58%. I just can't do more, I would like to keep the temperature lower but it's impossible given the heat here. When AND IF I ever raise the TS1000 to 100%, inside the grow box will become an oven; - I'm thinking of sticking with this configuration: 50cm away, 80% dimmer (120 watts) until flowering begins. If possible, at that moment I will switch to 100% power but I will have to lower the hours of light to keep the temperatures low for as long as possible, so 18/6. What a mess! - Despite everything the plant continues to grow and I am happy :) - Tomorrow I change the solution to the DWC! - At the moment I suspended H2O2 because perhaps it kills the ROOTBASTIC which contains both minerals and organic material. I wonder, I also have ATAZYME that I should start using from tomorrow and it is composed of Enzymes and organic stuff, also in this case the H202 is problematic? Help! (Same problem with BLOOMBASTIC during FLOWER stage); [Day 16] - 16/6/22 - TS1000 = 50cm away and 80% dimmer; T. 28° C - R.H. 65% - Last day with the rootbastic solution. Today I wash the DWC buchet, then prepare the new solution with RO Water, plus A + B + H2O2 and this evening I add it to the DWC bucket. EC 0.6 PH 6.0 - Unfortunately I have absurd oscillations of the PH. At 4 pm it was PH 4 and to help raise it I replaced 0.5lt of solution with 0.5lt of water at PH 7.5. Despite this, after half an hour the PH had dropped further to 3. I really don't understand what's going on, I probably carry some mistakes from the past with me. The white slop continues to come out slowly and probably ends up in the DWC, in fact the EC level rises a lot. [Day 17] - 17/6/22 - Lamp, temperature and humidity as usual. - Day after day I am learning something. I started this run just to learn from my countless mistakes. Slowly I am managing the temperature and I am starting to have less strong PH swings, but they are still there. Many things I understood thanks to some users of this site, I'm really happy to have started a diary here. Thanks guys, really! [Day 18] - 18/6/22 - Lamp always 50cm from the plant, 80% dimmer; - Temperatures: 28 ° / 29 ° C during the day and about 25 ° C when it is dark; - RH: On average on 60% which is not bad but I have several peaks on 70/80% due to the humidifier turning on when the temperature exceeds 29 ° C. Unfortunately, when it is dark it does not go below 65/70%, between a few at most this situation will have to be fixed in some way. Today I should install the two total 10-liter Co2 tanks with sugar, yeast and fresh fruit. This will allow me to better manage the high temperatures, thus trying to lower the humidity a few points. - In the DWC there are currently about 6 liters of solution prepared yesterday with EC 0.8 and PH 6. Plant is growing but the EC is not decreasing, I guess it will take a few more days to notice big changes in the EC. The solution has quite high temperatures, around 26 °, maybe 27 ° at times. As soon as possible I will start putting some refrigerated plastic popsicles in the DWC once a day. I don't know if it will be enough, but better than nothing. To buffer this situation, I have turned up the force of the air pump in order to oxygenate the DWC bucket more. - Last thing, once a day I have to check the red pot in which there is the clay as from the many roots that sprout out there are some covered with that white slop and that ends straight into the DWC. In the next 10 days I will try to do something like this to improve the situation: I will pour 0.5 LT water (EC 0 - PH 6) over the clay, being careful not to wet the central part and letting the liquid flow in another bucket. I hope that after 2-3 times the situation can continue to improve. [Day 19] - 19/6/22 - Lamp 45cm from the plant, 80% dimmer; - Temperatures: 28 ° / 29 ° C during the day and about 25 ° C when it is dark; RH: 45%/55% - Plant is tall 7 cm from the clay - Added n. 3 five liters tanks with water, mashed banana, yeast, sugar and baking soda for CO2 booster [Day 20] - 20/6/22 - Lamp 45cm from the plant, 80% dimmer; - Temperatures: 28 ° / 29 ° C during the day and about 25 ° C when it is dark; RH: 50%/60% - Plant is tall 8 cm from the clay / Added 1ml/lt of H2O2 to prevent any shit in the pool [Day 21] - 21/6/22 - Lamp 45cm from the plant, 80% dimmer; - Temperatures: 28 ° / 29 ° C during the day and about 25 ° C when it is dark; RH: 50%/60% - Plant is tall 10 cm from the clay - Added 1 lt of solution: A+B+Hydro Booster+H2O2 - Third internode is forming. The plant grows slowly but grows every day. I also added 1ml of Hydro Booster to 6 liters of solution to give her a nitrogen boost. EC max 0.8. - I am no longer having problems with PH oscillations, it remains stuck between 6 and 6.5 (pure yellow chemical test) and I don't want to use too much PH down now that the situation is under control, I hope it grows well in this range of PH. I just use 2-3 drops of PH DOWN every 2 days and I'm doing well. (this stability is certainly due to the use of demineralized water, it is saving the life of my plant and also mine, but I will need CAL-MAG very soon). - Today is the last day of the second vegetative week. From tomorrow I start adding Mineral Magic.

You won't need to close it. If the smell were to come out of the gap it would come through the rest. The whole point of doing what you are doing, is you want a negative pressure seal. With that vent open. Air comes into it. (Can't come out of it, smell travels with air flow) just think about it for a sec. I use a sealed tent with no vents open and just leave the hole at bottom where you put the plug wire through keep that say on the bottom left, and extraction on top right will make for decent air flow. But you want that neg pressure seal. Look it up. There's a big difference in my bud already. And as for RH/TEMP whatever you keep your grow room at your tent will only be a few % difference in your grow room compared to your tent. Trust me a neg pressure seal you want. I won't go into it. There's just too much. Read up about it. As for what you are doing now you can seal up your tent or leave the vent half open no smell will move unless air is blowing out the seems and with a neg pressure it goes through the exhaust. You'll learn about co2 and the importance of bringing in O2 that will draw in co2. Having that vent sealed will drop your co2, unless you add extra co2 Good luck.

[Day 22] - 22/6/22 - TS1000 at 50cm, 80%. I moved the lamp away to ease the temperatures and for the same reason I switched to the 18/6 cycle for the next 5 days as I will not be at home. - Same solution as last week, still there is no need to change it. I only added about 1 gr / liter of Silicate (ex Mineral Magic). - Just checked PH and EC in the DWC: 6 and 0.81 - In the evening I checked PH and results 7.2, chemical test on green -> add some PH down and check tomorrow again. Despite this, today plant has grown a lot, I can't believe it [Day 23] - 23/6/22 - Prepared 2 liters of solution with EC 1.3 to be inserted in the DWC to replace two liters already inside. This should bring the overall EC to about 1. 2 liters of water EC 0.3, then 3/4 gr Silicate + 2.5 ml A + 2.5 ml B + 1 ml Hydro Booster + 4 ml H2O2. In the evening I'll add it. [Day 24] - 24/6/22 - TS1000 80% - 50 cm away - Temp. 29° (light) 26° (dark) - RH: 55%/60% - EC 1 PH 6/6.5 - Another pair of leaves on the way. They are large but still closed and pointed upwards. They should open well during the day [Day 25] - 25/6/22 - Temp 29° / RH: 60% - TS1000: 50 cm away and 66% dimmer (100 watt) for 18 hours [Day 26] - 26/6/22 - Temp 29° / RH: 60% - TS1000: 45 cm away and 66% dimmer (100 watt) for 18 hours - Two days alone and she has grown a lot. She doubled in width and gained 4/5 centimeters in height. Now it's about 17 cm height. - Older leaves have lots of brown spots and are curling, as well as being very dry; less old leaves have only a few burn marks, I hope they recover. The new leaves on the other hand are growing well, a nice green. - PH chemical on yellow, perfect. EC: 1. - Despite the problems, he is drinking and growing well. I am pleased to see how the water level drops and the EC remains stable. [Day 27] - 27/6/22 - Temp 29° / RH: 60% - TS1000: 50 cm away and 66% dimmer (100 watt) for 18 hours - Added 8 ml of H2O2 [Day 28] - 28/6/22 - Temp 29° / RH: 50%/60%; - TS1000: 50 cm away and 66% dimmer (100 watt) for 20 hours; - PH 6 - EC 0.9 - Added a liter of solution A + B + Hydro Booster + H2O2; - The plant is 19/20 centimeters high from the expanded clay; - Older leaves are getting worse by the day. It is now clear that it is the cause of the variations in ph. The second pair of fan leaves already showed very few spots in recent days. Today the spots have increased. Fortunately, the newer leaves don't seem to have these problems; - Defoliated the 2 oldest fan leaves, some leaf tuck; - Removed the CO2 bottles, tomorrow I'll charge 'em and put 'em in the box.

A.Likely this is the PH adjustments that had to be made. This only takes a few hours to show up. It could be the beginning of nutrient burn.. 1.5ml/L is very strong for Mineral Magic... typically we use 0.2g/L or 0.4g/L. The measurement on the jar of Mineral Magic instructions says 4g for every 10 liters.. 1.5g/L would be close to 15g for every 10 liters.. 3x too hot for the setup if the numbers are all listed correct. B. if you are using EC 0 water, you will need cal-mag, literally right now. The water I use for my DWC is 200ppm from the stream with high levels of all naturally occurring minerals like Iron, Calcium, Manganese, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Silicate. I still use Cal-Mag sometimes depending on the breeder. FastBuds seems to be cal mag thirsty. I run all of my DWC grows 28-30 degrees during the day, 20 degrees at night. The temperature split of 8-10 degrees makes them grow very fast from what I have experienced. I am a strong believer in the 10 degree difference in night versus day temperatures like in nature. For mars hydro I use 2x TS1000s, intensity 100% about 100-110cm away (permanently mounted in top of mars hydro tent) it allows for the temperature at the plant to be around 28 all the time. I never touch the light's intensity knob until the last few weeks of growth to simulate the summer to autumn season which works very well! Plant is looking good, we have all had this happen, no worries! She will be strong! She has good master growing her!

[Day 29] - 29/6/22 - The temperatures are always higher, with only 100 watts I reach 30° for most of the day, when the lights are off it is around 26 °. For this reason, the solution in DWC also has fixed temperatures above 27°. That's the reason why I decided to increase the power of the air pump, so that more oxygen reaches the roots, despite the temperatures. For a few hours a day they are lowered thanks to an iced 0.5 liter bottle. - The plant grows well, although the second pair of old fan leaves are also showing several yellow spots, very similar to those of the old fan leaves. - Am I carrying past mistakes or am I doing something wrong? - EC 0.95 - PH 6/6.2 [DAY 30] - 30/6/22 - TS 1000 = 40cm away / 66% = 100 watt; (I'll try 40cm for today, to see if temp and rh keep) - 22 cm height - Going on with leaf tucking [DAY 31] - 1/7/22 - All parameters as yesterday; - 26/27 cm height at the beginning of the day 31, moreover it's getting fat; - Going on with leaf tucking [DAY 32] - 2/7/22 - All parameters as always, RH is raising due the more vegetation in the box; - 28/29 cm height from the clay; - Going on with leaf tucking; - Defoliation. [DAY 33] - 3/7/22 - 29°/30° C, 50%/60% RH. Lamp 100 watt, 40 cm away; - 38 cm height from the clay; - Going on with leaf tucking; - Going on with some defoliation. On July 1st, the plant was about 27 centimeters tall. At the end of July 3rd, the plant is 37/38 centimeters. She had a crazy growth in just two days, I can't believe it!!! The ph oscillates between 6 and 6.5 from the beginning of cultivation, I cannot get it down in a stable way but the plant seems to react well. Despite that, there are quite a few more recent leaves with spots, as you can see from the photo I uploaded, who knows what they are due to? Tomorrow I finally get cal-mag+ from the GHE and I hope the situation in general will improve even more. I was supposed to bend the main stem today and mount the SCROG net, but I was out all day. I'll try tomorrow but I can't wait much longer, the plant grows too fast 😅 [Day 34] - 4/7/22 - HST, bending the main stem; - All parameters as always [DAY 35] - 5/7/22 - Plant showing its sex - Defoliation

[DAY 36] - 6/7/2022 - 29°/30° and 60% RH average; - TS 1000 set at 75% = 112 watts and 45cm away - After bending the plant has returned to about 38cm in height; - EC 0.9 / 1 - PH remains fixed at 6.4, no matter how much PH down I put in the solution, it will always return to 6.4 after few hours; ------------------------------------ SCROG TIME AND DEFOLIATION IN SEVERAL TIMES ------------------------------------ - 8 PM - Lights on and scrog net mounted. The scrog net is about 25 cm (10 inches) from the clay and I have tried (at my best) to space the individual branches in the various outer squares of the net. In the next few days I will try to better fill the free squares to try to fill the scrog net completely. - 6 HOURS LATER - I was very rude due my inexperience. Despite that, plant seems already recovered, it is drinking and the branches are already bending to seek the light. [DAY 37] - 7/7/2022 - Just removed some leaves under the canopy who won't get light. I did defoliation in different times due I wanted no stress the plant too much, I hope it was a good idea. [DAY 38] - 8/7/2022 - More defoliation - Bent branches through the net; - Added peppermint oil on the lid to prevent insects from getting into the tent; - Today temperature is cooler, which is why I decided to keep the light off for only an hour. I took the opportunity to give the plant more light after the stress of the last three days to allow it to recover faster. It will go to sleep directly tomorrow at 5 pm until 9 pm, as usual. [DAY 39] - 9/7/2022 - Mounted the carbon filter; - Tried to fix the scrog but I broke a branch; [DAY 40] - 10/7/2022 - Today I tried to lower the net but it is harder than I thought. By now the branches are stuck in the net and I was able to do very little. - I probably made it worse, Before the branches seemed to me better spaced and now I'm afraid of forcing my hand too much, I risk getting even worse. For a couple of days I leave the plant alone, it's not growing so much; - EC 1.1; PH 6.2-6.4; Still drinking about 2 l/day; - TS 1000 set at 75% = 112 watts and 45cm away from the center of the net. The branches on the sides are going up and slowly approaching the lamp, but I don't move it higher because I want a strong light to arrive in the center to allow the lower branches to rise and reach the others. We hope well - I am worried that I've stressed the plant too much, there are numerous branches (even recent ones) with a color tending to red / purple. I hope she recovers well and will try to stress her to a minimum in the next few days. For the first time I had to take care of the plant directly, handling the branches and defoliating. Surely someone more experienced would have done a much better job than mine. Get back soon HULK [DAY 41] - 11/07/2022 - EC 1.3; PH 6.4 - Temp. 28° / RH: 50%; - Today I started raising the EC from 1.1 to 1.3 and the plant reacted well. I used the solution prepared 2 days ago with: demineralized water EC 0 / 0.4 g/L SILICATE / CAL-MAG up to 0.35 / A + B + HYDRO BOOSTER + 1/2 dose of BLOOM STIMULATOR for a total of = EC 1.3. Having to add 2 liters to the DWC, I raised the EC of the made solution from 1.3 to 1.7 with the only addition of CAL-MAG => TOTAL EC IN DWC = 1.3. The plant seems to react well, after 6 hours the water level has dropped and the EC dropped from 1.3 to 1.2. The plant shows to be hungry, especially for CAL-MAG. Over the next few days, I will keep EC levels well monitored and act accordingly. - TS 1000 set at 75% = 112 watts and 45cm away from the center of the net. The branches on the sides still are going up and slowly approaching the lamp. I start to see very few leaves with yellow tips, if it continues like this, I move the lamp 5 centimeters away from the center; - For the moment I stop with the defoliation for 10/15 days, on the advice of @SwissKush [DAY 42] - 12/07/2022 No update. I'm fine, don't worry.

[DAY 43] - 13/07/2022 - Temp. 29° / RH: 50/60%; - EC 1.3; PH 6.3 - In the next few days: a) I will gradually raise the EC up to 1.5, first with a large addition of CaMg+ (up to 3/4 ml/L), then moving on to the full pre-flowering feed; b) I try to keep PH at 6.0 to improve the absorption of cal-mag; - Lamp: 80% (120 watt) - 50 cm away from the center of the net - 18/6 cycle; - Many leaves seems to be too green, almost dark green, we'll see next days how plant grows and fix if needed; - I widened the canopy a bit outwards through the scrog net, I hope it will help the light penetrate better in the center; - I also removed a single leaf that was very large and which from day one was blocking all the light in the center of the net. I was certainly wrong not to remove it before, which is a lesson to me for the next runs. [DAY 44] - 14/07/2022 no update, just uploaded pics [DAY 45] - 15/07/2022 - 28°/29° C - 45%/50% RH (dry day); - PH 6.0/6.2 - EC 1.5 (1.1 preflower blend and 0.4 only CALMAG due demineralized water); - Lamp: 80% (120 watt) - 40 cm away from the highest point of the plant - 18/6 cycle; - A bit leaf tucking today - This weekend I'll remove the ties; - Center of the net is slowly filling up, new small branches are popping up and I hope they can fill that central hole. [DAY 46] - 16/07/2022 - 29° C - 65% RH (wet day); - PH 6.2 - EC 1.5 ; - Since yesterday almost all the new leaves are growing showing signs of some problem (look pictures). Some deficiency? Excess of nutrients? Other? I ask with a growquestion and hope to understand more about it. Fingers crossed 😐 - Thanks to the advice of @Chow_13 and @SwissKush I realized that the leaves were signaling me to start flowering nutrition right away, the plant is starting to require more P and K. I just replaced the solution in the DWC with 8 liters of bloom nutrient. In the evening I upload some pics to show how plant reacts. [DAY 47] - 17/07/2022 - 29° C - 65% RH (wet day); - PH 6.2 - EC 1.6; - I just regenerated the CO2 tanks and I decided to put them outside the box because they are too bulky (the tube through which the CO2 passes is inside the grow box). [DAY 48] - 18/07/2022 - 29° C - 65% RH (wet day); - PH 6.1 - EC 1.7; - TS1000 40 cm away - 80% (120 watt); - New leaves are growing well. - Removed the branch tie; - Found an ant on the log, but how the hell did you get in? [DAY 49] - 19/07/2022 - 29° C - 60% RH ; - PH 6.0 - EC 1.74; - TS1000 40 cm away - 80% (120 watt); - Plant is drinking about 1.5 liters of solution per day. I'm trying to keep the PH below 6.1, at the moment it is 6 and tomorrow I try to lower it to 5.9 / 5.8; I highlight how the solution inserted on 16/07/2022 had EC 1.6 and today the EC is 1.74, it has slowly risen over the last few days. For the moment nothing alarming, I see how it proceeds and if so I intervene; - Removed the 2-3 liters still in the DWC and inserted 8 liters of new solution: EC 1.37 - PH 5.9. The plant was not drinking well, the EC was continuing to rise and tomorrow I start the new week, so I anticipated the replacement of the solution. EC 1.6 was too much? Or the plant was not yet ready for a full flower blend? I don't know, let's see how it goes with the new solution.

The plants in charts are not for cannabis. Your vegging npk ratio is 3-1-2. Flowering npk ratio is 3-1-2. As you shift stages you are going from one ratio to another. So you are about to be where she can benefit from all 3 then the shift will happen more as Flowering sets in more. I like to introduce bloom nutes about a week before them build on it. Good luck happy growing🌱

Hi guys, from today some of new leaves are growing like this. Is everything regular or is it a sign of something wrong? Given my inexperience I don't understand the symptoms from the leaves. Info: DWC - 42 days from germination - PH 6.0-6.4 - EC 1.5 - Temp: 29 - RH 60%

I would say she is hungry or your NPK ratio is incorrect. Test your EC after she has drank some of your bucket. If the EC is lower then increase the feed, If it is the same then your NPK ratio is incorrect. I don't think its calcium as your adding a lot to your feed. I would say more P or K . If it is higher then your in lockout and need to reduce your feed. Also note your humidity is fairly high. You want to reduce it during flower to avoid bud rot. Shoot for around 40-50.

[DAY 50] - 20/07/2022 - TS1000 45 cm away - 100% (150 watt); - 30° C, 50% RH; - PH 6; EC 1.4 - 1.5; - A few days ago I switched to the full flower feed, but I am experiencing plant nutrition problems: 1) On 8 liters of solution, from EC 0 to EC 1 I inserted: Silicate + CalMag + A + B; 2) From EC 1 to EC 1.4 only with the addition of Bloombastic (Bloom stimulator did not raise the EC) (I don't know exactly the amount of BLOOMBASTIC, it is too viscous to be able to measure it precisely, that's why I only report the increase in EC, it is more precise as a info). After less than 24 hours the EC turns out to be 1.5 (it was 1.4 a day ago), the plant is therefore eating badly or in any case in an unbalanced way. The only difference from before is the addition of Bloombastic. I have the feeling that: raise from 1 to 1.4 of EC with only Bloombastic (so only P and K) is too much and the plant is leaving some of these nutrients in the DWC as it doesn't need them. I am therefore afraid of approaching an excess of P and K and for this reason I have also uploaded photos of the leaves, maybe someone more experienced will already be able to notice signs of excesses of these two nutrients. If, on the other hand, Bloombastic is not to blame for this EC elevation, I don't really know what it is. - I found ONE SINGLE LEAF completely ruined, it was practically dead and detached from the plant (leaf was under the scrog net, so didn't take light anyway). [DAY 51] - 21/07/2022 - TS1000 40 cm away - 80% (120 watt); - 30° C, 60% RH; - Today and tomorrow I will not be home and I preferred to keep the lamp at 120 watts in order to better manage humidity and temperature. [DAY 52] - 22/07/2022 - TS1000 40 cm away - 80% (120 watt); - 30° C, 60% RH; - Plant is drinking about 1.5 liters per day, the solution temperature is always very high but the plant is holding up well. [DAY 53] - 23/07/2022 - TS1000 40 cm away - 100% (150 watt); - 30/31° C all day long, 60% RH; [DAY 54] - 24/07/2022 - TS1000 40 cm away - 100% (150 watt); - 30/31° C all day long, 60% RH; [DAY 55] - 25/07/2022 - TS1000 40 cm away - 100% (150 watt); - 30/31° C all day long, 70% RH; - The humidity has increased these days, we are on average 70% with peaks of 80%. I hope that the weather situation will improve; - Plant is continuing to grow day by day, so I think I am still in the last days of the stretching phase. Concluded this phase (when?) I will remove a lot (or a bit?) of leaves and branches that are not getting enough light. [DAY 56] - 26/07/2022 - TS1000 40 cm away from the center of the canopy - 100% (150 watt); - 30/31° C all day long, 70% RH;

[DAY 57] - 27/07/2022 - Lamp 40 cm from the center of the canopy and 100% dimmer (150 watt); - TEMP. 29°-30° - RH 70%; - In the next few days I will raise the EC from 1.2/1.3 up to 1.5/1.7 and increase the bloom dose, at the moment I am still giving the pre-flo dose; - I'm trying to promote the growth of the left side and for this reason I moved the lamp far to the left in order to get more light in those still low points (for two days, then it will come back to the center of the box); - This also allows me to bring the lamp closer to the highest right branch, as it only gets side light. For this reason, despite the proximity there should be no burning problems, I will keep the situation under control; [DAY 58] - 28/07/2022 - Lamp 40 cm from the center of the canopy and 100% dimmer (150 watt); - TEMP. 29°-30° - RH 70%; - EC 1.5 - PH 6; - Today I added 1.5 liter to the DWC with this composition: Water EC 0; Silicate and CalMag up to 0.4; A+B up to 1.4; Bloombastic up to 1.7; 0.2 ml/l Hydro booster; 2 ml/l H2O2 [DAY 59] - 29/07/2022 - Lamp 44 cm from the center of the canopy (22 cm from the top) and 100% dimmer (150 watt); - moved the lamp 10 cm away more to promote stretch (tip by my friend @SwissKush); - TEMP. 29°-30° - RH 70%; - EC 1.5 - PH 6; - A lot of resin on the leaves, nice smell; - Took a video for a growquestion. [DAY 60] - 30/07/2022 - Lamp 43 cm from the center of the canopy (20 cm from the top) and 100% dimmer (150 watt); - tomorrow I raise lamp 5 cm more; - TEMP. 29°-30° - RH 70%; - EC 1.7 - PH 6; - Removed 3 damaged leaves, with the beginning of next week I will make a big cut under the net, there are too many leaves and flowering sites that do not take light and it is useless to keep them; - She's drinking about 2.5 liter of solution/day [DAY 61] - 31/07/2022 - Lamp 46 cm from the center of the canopy (23 cm from the top) and 100% dimmer (150 watt); - TEMP. 29°-30° - RH 60%; - EC 2 - PH 5.9; - Removed some damaged leaves and a few leaves that were stealing too much light to the lower flowering sites, about fifteen leaves removed. 10 hours to recover from it. Still a lot to cut down there in the coming days when buds begin to form; - The EC went up by about 0.3 in 24 hours, this is due to the Bloombastic, the plant does not want it for now; - From tomorrow I will proceed to a small flush by adding 2 liters of water a day with EC 0 to prepare the DWC for the new feed for the new week (which will start on day 64). [DAY 62] - 1/8/2022 - Lamp 46 cm from the center of the canopy (22 cm from the top) and 100% dimmer (150 watt); - TEMP. 30°/31° - RH 40-50%; - EC 1.8 - PH 5.8; added 2 liter of demineralized water EC 0 - PHed [DAY 63] - 2/8/2022 - Lamp 46 cm from the center of the canopy (22 cm from the top) and 100% dimmer (144 watt); - I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT SMART PLUG SAYS: 144 WATT AT 100% DIMMER. I don't like it! - TEMP. 30°/31° - RH 40-50%; - EC 1.6 - PH 6; added 2 liter of demineralized water EC 0 - PHed. Tomorrow I'll replace the whole bucket with new feed EC 1.7 PH 6; - I believe the plant is no longer growing, and I also notice that the buds are slowly swelling. Tomorrow I tie back the main colas and then in the next days I will remove everything that does not get light, I hope it reacts well 🙏

I prefer GHE, it seemed more effective; - Let's see what happen this week, I want to see big flower by the end of this week; next one I'll add Bloombastic again; - A lot of leaves with yellowed tips, I hope it is not suffering excessively the temperatures. [DAY 65] - 4/8/2022 - Lamp 40 cm from the center of the canopy (20 cm from the top) and 100% dimmer (144 watt); - TEMP. 30°/31° - RH 50%; - EC 2 - PH 6; tomorrow I add lighter solution to keep EC to 1.7; - In the last couple days I noticed plant drank less than usual, the half. I guess it was very stressed due defoliation, but seems to be recovering well. - Today I did bit defoliation and in the coming days I let the plant rests, then we'll see if another defoliation is still needed. I don't want to exaggerate. [DAY 66] - 5/8/2022 - Lamp 40 cm from the center of the canopy (20 cm from the top) and 100% dimmer (144 watt); - TEMP. 31°/32° - RH 60%; - EC 1.7- PH 6; tomorrow I add lighter solution to keep EC to 1.6; - Did a growquestion about some brown spots on some leaves: https://growdiaries.com/grow-questions/49286-brown-spots-on-some-leaves. [DAY 67] - 6/8/2022 - Lamp as yesterday; - TEMP. 31°/32° - RH 60%; - Plant is having problems. It is drinking little and I believe it drinks very few nutrients. For this reason I did a DWC change and added a lighter solution (EC 1). Despite this, the EC is continuing to rise. I hope it recovers soon! If tomorrow it continues to rise, I try to further dilute the solution. - Added a new better quality video. [DAY 68] - 7/8/2022 - Lamp as usual; - Temp. 31°/32° - RH 60%; - EC still rising, that's the reason why I added 2 l. demineralized water to bring EC to 1.1; - Solution in DWC at the moment has this composition: Silicate 0.25 g/l - Calmag: 0.25 ml/l - A: 0.8 ml/l - B: 1.6 ml/l up to EC 0.94 - Bloom stim. 0.5 ml/l and Bloombastic up to EC 1.05. [DAY 69] - 8/8/2022 - Lamp as usual; - Temp. 32° - RH 50%; - EC 1.2, almost blocked all day long. Added 2 l. dem. water to lower EC a little bit; - I guess plant is drinking about 2 l. of solution / day, good! [DAY 70] - 9/8/2022 - Lamp as usual, I'm planning to lower it near the tallest bud (from 20 cm to 15 cm) to reach better the lower bud sites - Temp. 30° - RH 50%; - Last day of this week, some problems last days.

Hi guys, today I found these spots on some leaves, few actually. I think it is an excess, in fact the EC in my DWC has been rising for a few days. Could you tell me more please? 😑

The brown rust spots beginning are pretty common. It is the very early start of a nutrient lockout phase. The EC rose because your plant is drinking more water than it is eating the nutrients. Luckily you will be able to remedy this very fast with DWC. I would replace the entire nutrient pool and replace with fresh 5.8-6.0 water with half the nutrients that you are using. After a few days you can gradually increase the nutrient blend. The buds look awesome! Good luck! 😍

[DAY 71] - 10/08/2022 - Lamp as usual; - 29°/30° C - 55%/60% RH; - Today I went out for couple days. Filled the DWC with six liters of solution EC 1.3; - On the advice of my friend @SwissKush (btw he just started a new diary, go check it out) I changed the ratio of A:B (1:2) trying to minimize the amounts of nitrogen (which is in small part also contained in Cal-Mag+); - Removed about 20 leaves ruined or discolored; removed also 4/5 new shots growing under the canopy and 2 thin branches that weren't getting light. She has now some days to recover in peace; - Next update: Friday 12th August. [DAY 72] - 11/08/2022 - Lamp as usual; - I'm not at home but WiFi hygrometer says: 29°/30° C - 55%/60% RH; - See you tomorrow with pictures and more details. Some recent leaves, especially on the main cola, are showing purple spots. Fortunately, nutrient burn marks don't seem to get worse. [DAY 74] - 13/08/2022 - Lamp as usual; - 27°/28° C - 55%/60% RH; - Numerous leaves are fading, I will leave them until they are very damaged and then remove them; - In addition to this, numerous leaves show purple hues and I don't quite understand why, genetics? excess? [DAY 75] - 14/08/2022 - Lamp as usual; - WiFi hygrometer says: 28° C - 50% RH; - See you tomorrow with pictures and more details. [DAY 80] - 19/08/2022 - Lamp as usual; - 30/31° C - 60%/65% RH; dehumidifier still doesn't work well, another day and then I see what to do with it; - Removed some yellow leaves. [DAY 81] - 20/08/2022 - Lamp as usual; - 31° C - 55% RH; [DAY 82] - 21/08/2022 - Lamp as usual; - 30° C - 55% RH; - EC 1.6 - PH 6.2 - Plant drinks about 1.5 liters of solution per day; - Removing 5-8 completely discolored leaves almost every day; - Numerous leaves are turning completely purple, many are fading due to lack of nitrogen and some are turning a nice purple-yellow mixture; - There are a few weeks left, about 3 weeks to harvest. [DAY 83] - 22/08/2022 - Lamp as usual; - 30° C - 50% RH; - EC 1.8/1.9 - PH 6.2 - Plant drinks about 1.5 liters of solution per day; - In the last two days the EC has risen from 1.7 to 1.9, not very much but as a precaution I diluted the solution twice: once by replacing 2 liters in the DWC with 2 liters of ec 1.4 solution (without Bloombastic) and after 12 hours I replaced 2 liters in the DWC with EC 0 water; - Tomorrow is the last day before inserting the RIPEN solution, for this reason I will not add the usual two liters of solution, but 2 liters of EC 0 water. - I want the plant to be ready for these last few weeks without further nutrient blocking or burns. - Removed 7 yellow leaves. [DAY 84] - 23/08/2022 - Lamp as usual; - 30° C - 55% RH; - EC 1.5 - PH 6.2; - Last day with Flowering blend, tomorrow Ripen blend for about 10 days, then flush.

[DAY 85] - 24/08/2022 - Lamp 50 cm from the center of the canopy (25 cm from the top) and 100% dimmer (144 watt); - 30° C - 50% RH; - RIPENING! New solution by GHE/TA: Silicate + CalMag + Ripen: EC 1.7 / PH 6; - With almost zero nitrogen (present only in CalMag+) I expect to see many leaves turn yellow in the next few days; - I noticed that the main line shows signs of foxtail, perhaps due to the proximity to the lamp. Hope it's not a big deal; - Ripening (1°/10 days). [DAY 86] - 25/08/2022 - Lamp 50 cm from the center of the canopy (25 cm from the top) and 75% dimmer (115 watt); - 31° C - 50% RH; - Going on with: 0.2 g/l Silicate + 1 ml/l CalMag + 4 ml/l Ripen + 2 ml/l H2O2; - A lot of leaves turned yellow, tomorrow I remove some of these; - Not big differences between yesterday and today; - EC raised by 0.2 in 24 hours; PH stuck at 6 since 3 days; - 70% of orange/brown pistills, 30% white; - Next two days I'll be not at home, see you at day 89; - Ripening (2°/10 days). [DAY 87] - 26/08/2022 - Lamp 50 cm from the center of the canopy (25 cm from the top) and 75% dimmer (115 watt); - 31° C - 55%% RH; - Ripening (3°/10 days). [DAY 88] - 27/08/2022 - Lamp 50 cm from the center of the canopy (25 cm from the top) and 75% dimmer (115 watt); - 31.5° C - 55%% RH; - Ripening (4°/10 days). [DAY 89] - 28/08/2022 - Lamp 50 cm from the center of the canopy (25 cm from the top) and 75% dimmer (115 watt); Since tomorrow lamp will be at 50%; - Day/Night 16/8; - 31.5° C - 55%% RH. - I just got home and after only 48 hours over half of the leaves have turned yellow, that's crazy! - The plant is definitely drinking less, I think 1 liter a day or so; - EC and PH constant for 48 hours. - I bought a 200X smartphone magnifier, I hope it will do something! The day after tomorrow I will try to update some more detailed pictures; - The heat will collapse in the next few days, also thanks to the reduction of the lamp; - Ripening (5°/10 days). [DAY 90] - 29/08/2022 - Lamp as usual, 50% dimmer (75 watt); - Day/Night 12/12; - 29° C - 55%% RH; - Added detailed photos of the trichomes, tomorrow I will upload better pics. The end is near! - Ripening (6°/10 days). [DAY 91] - 30/08/2022 - Lamp as usual, 50% dimmer (75 watt); - Day/Night 12/12; - 30° C - 55%% RH; too hot!!! - EC 1.8 - PH 6.1 in the last 48 hours; - Added many detailed and HD photos of the trichomes; - The left side of the plant is completely yellowed, absurd! The other half is mostly still green; - From the trichomes it seems that it takes a few more days, there are very few amber trichomes and some still white. I honestly have no idea how long it will take; - Some buds are really thickened; others, on the other hand, have remained very thin and I am very sad, even some very tall ones are not fattened at all, what a pity; - Ripening (7°/10 days).

Should I worry? The bud closest to the lamp shows signs of foxtail.

She is Ripening so well man, congrats!! With Autos in a sterile DWC is always 15/16 weeks due to the lack of stress and extra oxygen molecule she gets from the H202. Great Ripening blend, she has consistently loved the 1.7 EC in the sterile DWC pool throughout flowering!! The consistency that you have kept monitor over the EC and PH is impressive, be so proud! 😍 (replaced my previous comment due to the numerous trolls that are cropping up, lol, on here)

[DAY 92] - 31/08/2022 - Lamp as usual, 50% dimmer (75 watt); - Day/Night 12/12; - 30° C - 55%% RH; - EC 1.9 - PH 6.1; - In last 24 hours EC raised up to 1.9, I replaced 2lt in DWC with 2lt of demineralized water = EC 1.5; - Some branches, the thinnest ones, seem to be drying quickly, the leaves on these branches are completely dry, even the sugar leaves, is this normal?; - From today I will order the photos in the opposite direction than before, I will add a lot of photos of trichomes this week and it is easier that way; - Ripening (8°/10 days). [DAY 93] - 1/09/2022 - Lamp as usual, 50% dimmer (75 watt); - Day/Night 12/12; - 29° C - 60% RH; - Cut 2 days of ripening, next time I'll try to start it earlier; - FLUSH EC 0.2 - PH 7 started at 11 AM till tomorrow at the same hour, 24 hours; - After 24 hours of flush I'll let the plant in the dark and without water for 36 hours (DAY 94-95) and HARVEST during the DAY 95 in the afternoon (about 7-8 PM); - Update more trichomes pictures to allow @SwissKush to understand if we need more time or if everything goes according to plan above; - Some fan leaves are pointing downwards, I guess the plant has reached the end of its cycle. [DAY 94] - 2/09/2022 - Day/Night 0/24; - No water in DWC; - 28° C - 55% RH. [DAY 95] - 3/09/2022 ----- HARVEST DAY ----- DRYING STAGE BEGIN----- - After 36 hours without water and in the dark I cut the plant; - 1° day drying begin at 7 PM; - 5/7 days of drying start today, then curing with Boveda; - LST again! - 28° C - 60% RH. [DAY 96] - 4/09/2022 - 1° day drying done at 7 PM; - 28° C - 60% RH; [DAY 97] - 5/09/2022 - 2° day drying done at 7 PM; - 27.5° C - 60% RH; - Added some pictures of the plant and trichomes. [DAY 98] - 6/09/2022 - 3° day drying done at 7 PM; - 28.5° C - 60% RH.

YIELD: 110 gr dry buds 45 gr dry leaves. Harvest at day 95 (3/9/22) 8 days of drying (11/9/22). Now begin the curing stage at RH 58% (55gr) and 62% (55gr); in 14 days I'll make the smoke rewiev. This was my first cultivation and thanks to this community I learned a lot and I have certainly had good results thanks to you too. At the moment I have very little to say, during these 3 months I have tried to update the diary to my best and I hope this will be of help for those who will have the patience to consult it in the future. Hydroponic cultivation was a tough challenge, but I'm confident for the next cycle, I've learned a lot in these months! Hulkberry Auto is a beautiful plant, mistake-resistant and looking great when ripe. Thanks @SwissKush for always being by my side in achieving this goal, thanks bro.
