I'm not giving up on the 3 seeds yet ungerminated.... I think they'll come up, just taking a little bit longer than the other two. I started all 5 in a glass of water and, when they sunk to the bottom, put them into my ProMix covering them and putting them in a warm environment... the 3 that haven't erupted yet were perhaps not as warm as the ones that have... so I wait. No problem! 06/21 - third seed germinated.... now only waiting on 2 more

They're spending their days out in the sun and coming into the tent for their nighttime warmth (and light!). They're strong and almost brutish so far! Going to enjoy this grow!!

Still spending days outside, nights in the tent under lights... it's worked well with my Blackberry Moonrocks so I'm continuing to do this until they get too big for the tent. I've started to spray with BT spray as the Moonrocks have been attacked by catepillars (I've sprayed them, too) and I want to prevent damage to these guys...

Ok - I thought my Blackberry Moonrocks grew fast - but 8.5" in a week?! This is amazing. Not much for nutes, either... they obviously don't seem to need a lot! Happy, happy plants! And a happy, happy grower!!

They're continuing their massive growth/stretch and I'm loving it. They're getting a little too big for the tent and so they're about to spend ALL their nights outside (they've spent a few nights outside this week). Haven't checked for pre-flower status but I'm sure that's about to start as well... Pretty excited about this grow!

I cannot believe the explosive growth of these ladies - and how fast their buds are developing along with sweet smelling trichs! The difference inside of just one week is astounding. I've indicated they're 39" tall but in reality, one of them is 40", one is 39" and one is 38" ... from 25" last week... and their growth is not done yet. I've recently started using ReCharge which I had bought a while back to solve a problem I had with one plant. I had begun experiencing the same problem with this grow (one plant was just not using up the water/nutes as quickly as the others which indicated some root issues) and as I read through the material on this stuff again, saw they recommended it as an ongoing addition to the feeding routine and so I've now added it weekly to ALL my plants... It's solved the "I can't drink as much as my sisters" issue with this grow and, I believe, has contributed strongly to their enormous growth... stronger, bigger root system = stronger, bigger plants. The plants are light on leaves - nice and airy - so LST probably wasn't particularly necessary but I do it to all my grows as a matter of course... especially if I've not grown the strain before and don't know how they'll develop. It's good to do anyway, imho, to get the lower buds out away from the main stem and developing strongly in their own right. My method of LST is to bend the bud stems away from the main stem using some LST clips (which I LOVE) but I might start fooling around with other methods in a different grow (my Wedding Cheesecake, perhaps). I've done it this way to minimize the width of the plant but maybe my decision has been a little short-sighted. I'll have to experiment, yes I will... Meanwhile, these ladies are truly going to be monsters and I'm loving it!

These three ladies are 44.5", 51", and 46" in height, respectively... and it's HARD to get a good shot of such large plants! But they're really putting on a show with their growth out on my deck. They are "spacey" - lots of space between nodes and "airy" - not a lot of leaves. I'm told by others who have grown this strain that mine are very typical in this regard - but I should be ready for a huge harvest. The airiness has caused me to wonder why I did the LST that I've done... but I'm not going to complain... there are multiple buds on all of the stems that are getting almost as much light as the main cola and so each and every one of them is going to be a wonderful size. Eliminated the Grow Big this week in favor of Tiger Bloom... still getting a bit of nitrogen from Tiger Bloom but not as much as from Grow Big... I find Fox Farm's Grow Big to be really potent in nitrogen to the detriment of the plants in flowering. I used to keep it going at 1/2 strength but kept getting nitrogen toxicity issues (calcium lockout being the main issue!) so I've made the command decision to get rid of it in flowering... which has worked well for my Blackberry Moonrocks grow and I know will be good for this one as well. A few bug problems this week which were expected... some bugs that were chewing leaves, a couple of aphids, all gotten to and disposed of as soon as they were noticed (which was VERY quickly)... chewers are taken care of by spraying BT all over - this makes the leaves taste terrible to the chewers so they take a bite and stop... and die within a couple hours. Aphids, which came from a hanging plant I had near them, were disposed of by using Dr. Zyme's Eliminator and it's fantastic.. organic, you don't have to worry about spraying the buds, and can be used right up to harvest. I will NEVER be without either one of these for ANY grow, but particularly outdoor grows! All in all, I'm super pleased with the progress this week but I'm already starting to think about and plan SOME method of supporting the buds as they get further into flower... don't know exactly what I'm going to do but I know I'm going to HAVE to do something...

Defoliation on these ladies just isn't necessary - the grow is more BUD and not many leaves... amazing genetics here! The smell is light and fruity and I'm REALLY liking the way they are bulking up - I can see the potential for some really large colas and that is exciting!

These ladies continue to impress... and they seem to have avoided the bud rot issue my Blackberry Moonrocks succumbed to AND tolerated the heat wave with all buds nicely dense and getting much bigger - all good! They still have several weeks left to go, I think... I'll let them grow just as long as they want - the trichs are only JUST starting to turn milky so I'm thinking another 3 weeks or so... Nights have cooled off so hopefully that will be enough to bring out some beautiful colors - but I'll be happy with whatever they give me! I'm very VERY pleased so far!

Oh my poor, poor DENSE Yubary... what a summer I picked for trying to grow you! Bud rot, again, is taking its toll on these poor ladies. I've chopped half of one plant and I know it was too early to do that (trichs weren't quite up to snuff) but I'm letting the other go longer, flushing them and inspecting them 2-3 times a day to nip the bud rot as SOON as I see signs of it... Checking the trichomes this morning, I'm starting to see a few turn amber so I'm crossing my fingers they can last for another couple of days - but I plan on chopping all of them pretty soon... Definitely going to try this strain again - but inside a tent indoors where I have far more control over the conditions!

Happy Harvest Day!

This strain would have been a MONSTER had not bud rot set in. Extremely hot and humid conditions that were impossible to overcome does not make for a good outcome no matter what the strain. I WILL grow this again but inside where I can control the conditions.

Attempted to harvest but nothing was to be gained at all - the trichs couldn't mature and the bud rot was fairly extensive. This has proved to be a valuable learning experience for me! Once budrot sets in, there's really nothing you can do - even cutting it out and spraying the area with H202 doesn't much help as the spores literally go everywhere. As I trimmed what buds I THOUGHT would be salvageable, more often than not, I found the beginning of botrytis inside... so both plants were destroyed and put in trash bags. Next summer, I'm taking the season off and will concentrate on my raspberries, grapes, rhubarb, iris, daylilies, sweetpeas, peonies, catmint, bee balm, joe pye weed, blueberries, apple trees, rugosa roses, hostas, and all the other myriad of plants that cover my 2 acres... It is what it is and I have no regrets.

@GrowlngGrannie, Thing is...one day you'll fuck up. You'll get used to acting a certain way ONLINE and your automatic thoughts will start to change. When this happens you MAY react in a similar manner automatically (albeit on a MUCH smaller scale) to a situation in real life the way you would online. If that does happens you'll experience the same outcomes you always have. More likely you'll just allow your emotions and anger to continue to bottle up until it drives you to do stupid things like this. You understand I'm not the only person on here that knows this is you correct? I'm not the ONLY person schooled on human behavior on this website. You're a sad human being.

@GrowlngGrannie, look Dutch Douchebag your the kind of loser I picked on in high school. It must suck to still be losing at life. To actually have to fake diaries as if you accomplished something you didn't. Why? Its not even impressive in the least. Insecure a little? If only one of the little pukes like you had even the smallest little rat balls you'd say something to someone in person but you unfortunately know how that goes so you have to get your frustrations out on the internet where you can hide behind a screen. Then you still attack the weakest people in our society. Yes, I know your poor. Obviously, you are or your grow would be set up better and you wouldn't make a bunch of fake accounts to harass an old woman who beat you out on winning a few seeds. You're a cancer. I shouldn't have given you any response but I wanted to give everyone the opinion of a psychotherapist that apparently has "no social skills" that you are a cancer on this site and need to be removed. @growdiaries please look into this. I'm sure he used the sane computer. It won't be hard.

@GrowingGrannie, I'm glad that situation got straightened out. Just to drive your point home look at my grow LAST year. Then look at my grow this year. I know growers who have grown 40-50 years and have NEVER encountered what I did this year. Mother nature can be a cruel vindictive bitch sometimes.
