DWC vs. Living Soil: Greenpoint Testers

SinSemillaWhisperer420 Note: RAW Microbes and RAW Grow are only used in my super soil not my hydroponics. I am doing a side by side grow between my 5 gallon hydroponic buckets and 5 gallon super soil with the same 2 cultivars: Fritter Cookies DWC vs. Fritter Cookies Super Soil along with Dubble Cookies DWC vs. Dubble Cookies Super Soil. These strains are testers provided by Greenpoint Seeds. So far on Day 6 all is well. Also, the Dubble Cookies Super Soil is approximately 4-6 days behind the rest.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 I added 2 plants with the same Greenpoint Seed Genetics- Fritter Cookies and Dubble Cookies. I also started to incorporate CO2 in my grow at 1500 ppm for the week.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 I began to top each plant. I also finished transplanting the rest of my girls into 5 gallon homes using Purple Cow Living Soil, & I sprinkled Great White Mycorrhizae and RAW grow stage microbes on the root zones. I began to put training clips on a few bigger girls to begin training. I also added another humidifier to get my vpd on point.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 I’ve been training these girls to even out the canopy and get them ready to flip to flower. They’re coming along nicely.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 Flipping these girls over to 12/12 for flower today. Training using hst,defoliation, and fimming to even out my canopies. I’m also feeding my soil microbes and molasses.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 After a week of aggressive training, I’m going to let them grow out for at least a week before I bend any more branches. They were fed today at half strength. I also began implementing NPK Bloom Microbes in my living soil. On Day 12 of Flower I did a major defoliation & changed the res/nutrients in my DWCs.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 To begin Week 3 of Flower 🌸 I fed with flora series and top dressed with worm castings. I’m also still training aggressively to keep my canopies as even as possible.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 Solid week of growth. Officially in the stretch, or it may be close to the end of the stretch phase. Lots of defoliation. On day 27 of Flower I did a full nutrient and water change in my 2 DWCs.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 Buds are starting to fill in nicely. I’ve been defoliating little by little to open up more light to bud sites. Everything is really starting to come together.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 All is going well. I believe the stretch is over and the bulking has begun. No signs of deficiencies anywhere, and they pray to the light daily. 2 DWCs are the biggest although the 4 in super soil are looking quite impressive granted CO2 has been at 1500 ppm throughout the flowering period.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 Added General Hydroponics Ripen to my DWCs. Other than that everything is the same nutrient wise. As week 7 of flower begins everything is really coming together nicely.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 Week 8 of Flower is here. The flowers are beginning to ripen & buds are getting heavy. I also started to flush the super soil plants.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 I started my Final Flush using Florakleen for my DWC & just plain pHed water for my living soil. It’s been a great run. In conclusion DWC is the clear yield winner in all cases against living soil. I began to trim up the ripe buds as well.

SinSemillaWhisperer420 I had no problems growing in the living soil, & no problem growing growing my DWC.
