I planted 6 seeds into Rapid Rooter cubes and everything except the one Critical Purple Kush (CKP) ended up popping. The one CPK that did pop was upside down which I have never seen before. I gently broke open the cube it was in and put it the correct side up in a new one. I watered with Clonex Clone Solution/Seedling Nutrient.
All 5 of the seedlings are looking good. Even the poor Critical Purple Kush which started off upside down. I watered when the outer cubes started to dry out.
While they all continue to grow well one of the Blue Dreams is getting huge compared to the other ones. Will likely Transplant them next week into 1 Gal fabric pots.
I waited a little too long to transplant them into the 1 Gal pots. I was having to water too frequently which was causing some algae to start forming on some of the cubes. The larger ones were drinking too fast so the leaves got a little burned but they will bounce back fine. The Red tags are the Black Sugar, the Yellow is Critical Purple Kush, and the teal is the Blue Dream.
They continue to grow well in week 5 of veg. I topped one of the Blue Dreams and one of the Black Sugars. As you can see the plants next to it are starting to over shadow the CPK and one Blue Dream.
They continue to grow well though it is getting crowded in the tent. Next week they are moving into the 5x5 where they will be able to stretch out more.
Finally got them into the 5x5 tent so they will have some room. I also moved over 4 Mimosa clones (back row and middle right). Black Sugar is middle center and middle right, Blue Dream is front left and front center while the Critical Purple Kush is front right.
Transplanted them into 3gal fabric pots (their final containers). The Blue Dream responded well to the topping and are stretching out nicely. One of the Black Sugar is also responding well to the topping. The other Blacks Sugar is now topped so hopefully it will start branching out more. The Critical Purple Kush is also topped (which was the last one) so hopefuly they will start branching out. I was waiting for more growth to develop on the lower branches before topping but I waited too long.
I continue to let the plants veg to fill out more of the tent and give the last topped plants a chance to branch out (Black Sugar#2 and Critical Purple Kush). The other ones are pretty much ready to flip to flower.
Its just about time to flip them to flower. I would have liked the Critical Purple Kush and Black Sugar#2 to branch out more the tent is getting very full! I added a scrog net to try to help keep a somewhat level canopy but its going to be hard as the Black Sugar and Critical Purple Kush are on the shorter side hopefully they will stretch a lot in flower.
The light was flipped to 12/12 but the aren't showing signs of flower yet but they likely will next week. The Blue Dream are looking great had to bend down the larger one to lower it. If the Black Sugar and Critical Purple Kush don't really start stretching than I will need to build a base for them.
They are finally showing signs of flower. I had to build bases for the Black Sugar and Critical Purple Kush (and even boost Black Sugar#2 with tiles for extra height) but it was well worth it. It will help keep them from getting over shadowed by the Mimosa Clones.
Lollipopped the tent to help with air flow and reduce/remove larfy bud. They are starting to back on buds and are stretching well. The tent is quite full.
They continue to grow well and pack on bud. More a smell is developing in the tent though its a mix. They have been in the pots for a while so I will likely give them some nutrients next week with a booster. I increase the calmag as this is the last feeding they will get it as next week they are getting switched over to sweet.
The Fade is starting and they are getting frosty. Gave them their first feed of nutrients. Black Sugar# 2 is starting to get darker I'm curious to see what it looks like as it continues to fade.
The smell is much more noticeable now. Watered with just the Botanicare sweet as they got a full feeding last week. They continue to fade and are looking good.
The fade continues and Blue Dream #1 is turning yellow a bit faster than the rest. It also looks like Blue Dream #1 and maybe Critical Purple Kush are fox tailing (I think its called). They look different than the rest of the plants.
This is the last week they are getting sweet. From here on out they will be burning through whatever's left in the pots. Probably still two or more weeks out from chopping. They continue to fade and pack on weight lots of branches are tied up as they were falling over. The Critical Purple Kush is finally starting to fade and the colors look like they should be good. This is the fullest tent I have ever had!
The fade continues and they are just getting water at this point. The colors on the Critical Purple Kush are amazing. I'm not sure whats going on with the Black Sugar #2 leaves but my guess is too much light or nutrient burn as that was the smallest plant. They are getting closer to the chop which will probably be next week or the week after.
Just chopped the plants and are waiting for them to dry. Blue Dream #1 was one of if not the largest plan in the test so I'm excited to see what it ends up yielding. I finished trimming and Blue Dream #1 may be my highest yielding plant yet the jar its in is huge (1 gal jar) I will update again once I weigh it and smoke some!
Just chopped the plants and are waiting for them to dry. Both these plants ended up being in the smaller plants but they looked very frosty so I'm looking forward to smoking it. I will update with more info after I weigh them.
Just chopped the plants and are waiting for them to dry. This one was on the smaller side but that fade was really amazing. For the one plant it seems to have a good yield. It has an amazing smell so I cant wait to see what it smells like at the end of cure. I will update again once I weigh them and smoke some.
