First ever grow - recently diagnosed with type of arthritis, not smoked for at least 15 years. Doing a grow to see if I can and what results I can get for myself. 25 ltr buckets used with drainage drilled in base and stood on lids. 5 plants germinated in total from 7. 2 use growbag soil 2 use tomato bag soil 1 in own compost. Soil wet night before planting Seeds poked in 5mm deep and left alone. Sprayed area of planting each day with mist bottle.

Had second feed on Friday and left alone. They seem to be growing tall and fast, smell lots. Do they need support? Should I space them out now? Thanks

One of the gsc lower leaves have formed brown rings and started to crisp up, see pics. Is this a concern. Thanks

Hi there ! I think it's a nutrients burnt as I never saw a def leading to burnt leaf/leaves ! As it been told to you , your fish mix ratio is too High , 10ml/l should be the dosage to "prepare a soil" but not with every wattering. Your plants colours is clear , I think you have a slight nitrogene def but as you'll get in flowering soon a little add of N should change that ! Hope it will help you ( PS: can you tell us more about your PH & EC ?) 😁👍

All plants appear to be starting to show bud sites and pistals. Gsc coming on stronger than lemonhaze. Smell is getting worryingly strong as it can now be smelt from front gate 20 or so meters away! No feed this week just water and the biotabs in the pots It's been cloudy last week and a half so growth seems to have slowed.

Gsc buds developing, Lemonhaze development a little slower. Leaves showing various nute problems. Changed to biobizz bloom after advice here. Going to let them run now and see what happens. Smell is becoming problematic, need a way to mask it really.

Plants got splattered in storm but now back outside and appear to be doing well, few more nute problems after lots of heavy rain exposure. Gsc lots of bud sites Lemonhaze still slower to develop.

Not much to report still in early flower I believe? Gsc more advanced than lemonhaze, one gsc more advanced than most. Temperature has dropped a little and plants are hardly taking any water, only watered once last week.

Not a great deal to report again just slowly flowering, hopefully they will just come along steady now to finish. I'll just water and feed as required.

Just patiently waiting and hoping for the best now. After some reading I am thinking that the biggest gsc with the most yellowing is almost done, any advice appreciated

Hello again, I have a slight concern that one of my girl scouts might be a male? I have attached some pictures in week 12 if someone could let me know and offer advice I would appreciate it.

No bananas there. Those little balls you see are called calyxes, they are where seeds would form, should the buds be pollinated and hold most of the THC. As the harvesting time approaches, the calyxes will grow and swell, fatening the buds.

Lemonhaze finally coming along and looking healthy, I may even start flushing now from advice seen on web. Gsc have stated to flush they are looking very scrawny now I might have left them too long or over nuted. Will keep looking at trichomes and may cut middle of this week as it's getting cold outside now. Cut the largest gsc tonight and trimmed, looking at trychomes through loop I notice a bit of dryness, damp and mildew on a few buds so I decide to cut, probably lost 3 smaller branches with 4 buds on each just to be careful. Now onto drying and curing which are also all new

Disasters strikes near the finish! So first the farmers decided to mow the fields behind the house so plants are inside for now to be on the safe side. Close inspection of the very dense buds on the lemonhaze has revealed lots of internal mildew so I've started to chop all affected areas off, Going to check daily now and probably harvest soon. Bit of a shame as it was all looking good last week.

Hey there so there are a variety of ways of attacking pm or mold, neem oil of coarse can do it but leaves a smell so you have to be careful too far into flowering using that. Milk is a safe and good option also, but dilute your milk and water 10 to 1 ration. Many of your bicarbonate solutions will be very effective too sodium or potassium, but the sodium bicarbonate i know best and works good (baking soda) you'll want to mix it with other items because on its own it wont work. Take a gallon of water and add about 1 tablespoon of the baking soda, a teaspoon of either liquid soap or insecticidal soap, and another teaspoon of a dormant oil (you can buy a horticultural oil, otherwise mineral or vegetable oil can work.) And then spray the plants every week or 2. You can even use mouthwash or apple cider vinegar as well. Even spraying your plant with straight water makes the spores have a difficult time forming, but you'd need drying time after. The options is recomend are either the milk, the baking soda mix, or the vinegar(just dilute well and dont use too often). You can even try a combination of a few techniques. Best of luck youve done good by at least trying to eliminate spores in whatever means necessary...sometimes cutting is the only option readily available. I hope you can resolve this. ✌️

Small setback yesterday, greenhouses blew away leaving plants exposed to strong wind and rain, broken stems and leaves. Bought plants inside to dry and check, now back outside to see what happens, no pictures unfortunately due to rain and panic!

I don't see any pollen sacks either

Hi @uomosenzanome! I only see sugar leaves and calyxes, no worries. Moreover pollen sacs take several days to properly grow and open so if you see balls falling down move your plant elsewhere and gently remove the bananas. I’m confident you won’t have to do this. Happy growing 👊

I don't see anything in the pics that indicate male or hermie to me. If you can get a closer pic of the nodes, that's where the pollen sacks would show up if there are any.

The purple colours is mostly due to the temperatures that are lower now than in summer and I think that the yellowing on the GSC is because she'll be ready soon !! Nice job so far 😁💪

Hey there if PM or mould are a common battle for you, but even if not. Try listening to kis organics cannabis cultivation and science podcast episode on powdery mildew its got some great prevention and methods they mention. Happy growing

Thanks to Spinnergrow above for the answer I suspect it is correct, the plants have biotabs in the soil so are probably getting too many nutes and not enough water. I will reduce fishmix and increase water and see what happens. As this was going to be a just grow and leave experiment I have never worried about ph etc. Maybe I should!! Fish mix has been added at 10ml per 10 ltrs not per ltr.
