LED Lights Used:
1. VIVARSPECTRA Par450 (actual power draw up to ~200W at 100% power) with Red dimmer 100%, White 100% and Blue 50%
2. Roleadro 300W Full Spectrum (actual power draw ~125W)
Grown in 2' x 4' x 5' Vivosun grow tent with a 4" Carbon filter and inline exhaust fan as well as 2x Whisper fans for circulation.
Care:
Water every two days, fertilizer every other watering.
Daily selective defoliation (just a few leaves here and there)
Daily adjustment of branches to expose bud sites to optimal light
Hello @Woodhercule! From nutrition perspective you are fine. You have your organic grow and bloom and a synthetic powerful pk booster ( that i think it's not necessary ). Your plants can grow just fine with only these products but if you want to be complete from building an ecosystem perspective you can add some other things. Aerated compost tea: it's full with beneficial microbes, carbohydrates from molasses which are energy source for the microbes, humic acids and micro nutrients from the compost. Enzymes: They brake organic matter like dead roots inside your substrate and give nutrients back. A decent product is cannazyme or you can make your own organic version from sprouts. Amino acids : When broken down by enzymes they release very little nitrogen and various organic molecules like hormones. A descent product is nirvana. All the above will not burn your plant as they don't have N-P-K value .As for the cal-mag you don't need it for now. Happy growing!
Decided to go easy on the nutrients this week, skipping a feeding aside from the Big Bloom. Back to the regime next week, then getting ready to flush with the FF Sledgehammer in a few more. Moved the lights closer to the plant (10 in > 8 in) and put the all dimmers on the VIVARSPECTRA at 100%.
Only feeding Molasses, going to flush with Sledgehammer today. Ive noticed that the buds under the Vivarspectra 450 are turning purple but not the ones under the Roleadro! Wonder if that has anything to do with differing color spectrums?
Fluahing with water and Molassas, hoping to harvest next week! Fall colors are showing, the flush seems to be doing its thing. Might leave it for 10 more days depending.
Last watering! Gonna harvest early morning on Thursday after two days of total darkness. Gonna go for the whole plant slow dry and dry trim after, any tips?
No pests or diseases of any kind! Responded well to training of all kinds and produced sparkling sweet buds under the cheap amazon LED's I grew with. Can't wait to see what i yield. This is my first grow so maybe i'm being too hopeful but i'm hoping for 2oz from the 325w LED's and the fox farm lineup.
Responded well to all kinds of training, beautiful fall colors with purple dominant. Will add more comments post cure. Sampled some bud cured for 3 days after drying for 7, love the uplifting sativa feeling i'm getting from it. Of the branch that i got that sample from (about 1/5 of the whole plant) I got 13.5g. Ended up with around 2.5 oz dry!
@Woodhercules, bro i run em all at 100% from about 3 weeks into veg on until harvest. i control intensity with light height, because who knows how accurate the dimmers are? My yields have been ok, about 2-2.5 oz per plant. I misread the specs on these, i run a 4x4 tent, viparspectra says ea 450 can do a 2x2 in flower. so 1 more would be the ideal setup in your tent( though the roleandro you added will probably work just as well with the 450. I would need 4 in my tent, i'm just going to use them for now and probably get a 600w air cooled hps down the road. they do produce frosty buds if you do your part. im currently running both at 20" above 1 big photoperiod plant in my journal now.
@fingerscrossed, great so far, although I'm thinking the 600 would have been better. What sort of yields have you seen off these guys? and what do you set the dimmers at during flowering?
Hi @Woodhercule! If your plant does not ask for it, there's no immediate need to give her extra nutrients. Your plant looks healthy, and you may have negative effects by adding too many nutrients. Keep us up-to-date and happy growing! 👊
Yo bro ! If you have no issues then don't change anything to you feed chart ! It is easier to fix a deficience than a excess so I'll recommend you to not use Cal mag right now and wait to see if your plant is ineed of anything ! Have a good grow homie 👌👊
