10/28 Did LST to L, R is still fine from yesterday. Double checked my PAR numbers after last nights revelation and sure enough this was part of my issue. Currently at canopy height I’m getting a reading around 425 PAR instead of 315 PAR with my old method. So for the past couple weeks I’ve been blasting them with ~100 more PAR than I intended. I suppose a few twisted and weird looking leaves is getting off easy though, doesn’t seem to be any significant damage done.
10/29 Mixed up 1 gallon of distilled water with ¼ tsp of Recharge, 1 Tbsp of molasses, and ½ tsp of Epsom salt and split it between both plants. All of that by itself PH’d at 6.5 which is a good one to remember. Did some LST work on both and ended up defoliating 1 fan leaf on R. It’s too soon in my mind to be defoliating but that one fan leaf was huge and blocking loads of light to good spots. It felt justified. Adjusted light to about 450 PAR with door half shut.
10/30 More LST work for both today. Also trimmed 1 fan leaf off L for the same reasons as R yesterday. Bumped light up to 500 PAR with door half closed.
10/31 Both pots were already starting to get light, and growth has definitely started to accelerate. Decided to mix up another gallon of distilled with ½ tsp of epsom salt and 1 Tbsp of molasses. Then I added 10 drops of ArmorSi just as an alternative to PH up, got it to 6.4, and split it between both. I’ve been running a 20/4 light schedule even though starting this run I intended an 18/6 schedule, and I decided to go back to 18/6. I also just discovered DLI and how that works, so without making any changes to the light other than schedule I am now at 32.4 DLI.
11/1 Bumped light up to 550 PAR or 35.6 DLI. More LST work.
Haha, I’m reading your light schedule and adjustments back and forth. Laughing because that sounds like me. Constantly adjusting my lights. Optimization is what I call it. Your girls look great. I’m growing this strain on my next run, probably within a couple weeks.
Saw your note about the temp, they should be good to get pretty cold. Another of my concerns. Good luck with your grow. Take care
@@StinkyBudz, the light schedule changes was me trying everything I could to keep the temperature stable during the night. It did get down to the low 60s for those few nights but not any lower thankfully. Almost kept them at full 24 hours even after I fixed the furnace but that schedule just seems too unnatural.
The PAR changes are by design though. I'll be slowly turning up the intensity every few days until I finally hit about 700-800 or so. Really trying to emphasize slow and steady.
Looking good. I have a 3 pack on the way of Sour Stomper. Watching your grow. I saw you topped, I don’t think I will this round. I want to see your LST. Good luck on your grow. Happy harvest. Hope your buds are some StinkyBudz
@@StinkyBudz, I haven't topped and likely won't for these 2. The plan is to eventually LST, lollipop, and do general defoliation once the time is right.
@nerdz, Thanks for that. Yeah I wish I could have let them go longer but they weren't doing hot. The weed I did get though is pretty great, which was shocking. I'll do the harvest report soon now that it's been curing for a few weeks.
