11/10 Another leaf on L is just starting to turn yellow. I did go easy on the nutes when I added them 5 days ago, so I figured adding in some guano might be a quicker fix without risking burning anything. I top dressed in 1 Tbsp of seabird guano and ½ tsp of bat guano to each. Took a little over ¼ gallon of distilled water, added in a pinch of recharge and got the PH to 6.7. Split that between both just to kind of get the guano working.
11/11 Both look very happy, leaves perked right up. Pots are light, but I’ll give them a dry day and water tomorrow. Tried to redo some LST, but the top is crazy hard to bend now and I’m not gonna force it. Top of the canopy after the latest stretch now measures 720 PAR / 46.6 DLI.
11/12 Pots are very light but the leaves look super happy. I do think that I probably have been going a bit heavy on the water and will need to calm that down in the future. Regardless I did mix up 1 gallon with ½ tsp of Epsom salt and a spoonful of molasses. Silica was added just to bring PH up to 6.6 and each got ½ gallon.
11/14 I fired up the humidifier on the outside of the tent near a vent. It’s been getting colder outside which means the heat is running more, which means lower RH inside. I’m using the VPD chart to kind of figure out how much to run it. L is starting to bulk up, but R seems to be lagging a bit. R for sure has more bud sites getting light and is more spread out and wider though, so maybe that’s just a tradeoff.
11/15 Did a little more defoliating on both to get lower growth cleared out. An interesting note is that R sems to be very red/purple in all the leaf stems and into the veins. Unsure if this means anything or not. Removed LST wires from both. Mixed up a gallon of distilled with a little over ¼ tsp of recharge. ½ tsp Epsom salt, and a spoonful of molasses. PH came out to 6.6 without adding anything else.
11/16 The purple in R is starting to spread pretty good. On top of that I see some yellowing that might seem to point to Mg deficiency, but I think is more a sign of a pH issue with my soil. I have a cheap soil tester and it does seem like it’s pointing to somewhere in the high 5s. Best I think I can do is top dress in 1.5 Tbsp of dolomite lime to both, followed by a small watering just to get it started. Mixed up a quarter gallon of distilled with a pH of 7.5 and gave most to R since that is the problem plant. The takeaway here is to not skip the dolomite lime in the soil premix like I did this run. Dumb mistake.
Haha, I’m reading your light schedule and adjustments back and forth. Laughing because that sounds like me. Constantly adjusting my lights. Optimization is what I call it. Your girls look great. I’m growing this strain on my next run, probably within a couple weeks.
Saw your note about the temp, they should be good to get pretty cold. Another of my concerns. Good luck with your grow. Take care
@@StinkyBudz, the light schedule changes was me trying everything I could to keep the temperature stable during the night. It did get down to the low 60s for those few nights but not any lower thankfully. Almost kept them at full 24 hours even after I fixed the furnace but that schedule just seems too unnatural.
The PAR changes are by design though. I'll be slowly turning up the intensity every few days until I finally hit about 700-800 or so. Really trying to emphasize slow and steady.
Looking good. I have a 3 pack on the way of Sour Stomper. Watching your grow. I saw you topped, I don’t think I will this round. I want to see your LST. Good luck on your grow. Happy harvest. Hope your buds are some StinkyBudz
@@StinkyBudz, I haven't topped and likely won't for these 2. The plan is to eventually LST, lollipop, and do general defoliation once the time is right.
@nerdz, Thanks for that. Yeah I wish I could have let them go longer but they weren't doing hot. The weed I did get though is pretty great, which was shocking. I'll do the harvest report soon now that it's been curing for a few weeks.
