My first grow, so started slow and went sideways several times. Strain was the cheapest I could get, wanted to see if I really wanted to do this before purchasing better strains. Plants seemed to grow high, but never bushed out. I didn't top them until in the 4th week and then tried pruning the bottom leaves. Buds developed, but were small. I think light was the real limiting factor, for potency and yield (I have upgraded). This is a very low yield, but for my first grow, I'm OK with that. Learned a lot and mostly having fun.
I decarboxylated most of the yield and made cannabutter and tincture. Saved some buds for smoke, much better than I could have thought. A nice high.

First time grower, so not a lot to share. It was fun keeping track of my progress and following others on the grow diaries, and I learned a lot from many other growers. I have a new grow that I started this week and will try to incorporate many of the methods and techniques I have seen her, and other places. Feels like a fun environment to share.

Hello ! I agreed with Athos ! When looking at your picture it seems that it is the right time as it seems both of your ladies are pushin the 6th node. ! And acording to me you can put that light closer as 26 watts will make them stretch to catch the light if i is too high ! Hope it will help you 😁👍

If I top the lower nodes, can I get the plant to fill out more? I have improved the set up and the light seems better than what I had earlier.
Pruned the lower branches already. I have a grow tent ordered and will be able to fully enclose the plants in a few days. thanks.

Yes, topping will cause the plant to grow wider/bushier rather than tall/skinny. Good luck 👍

@closetGrow, the four flowering plants are my first grow. they popped thru soil 6/10 (PE) & 6/11(GSC). I have a little experience helping my mother with her past grows but never on my own until now.

your doing great whit what you got ,but maybe foil paper on the sides would give you more light reflection ..(just a thought)

@Tonino, appreciate your info. I walled off the plants in a 3' x 2' box of reflective wall boards, and pruned the bottom branches. The tops look real good, but I realize the light is not optimum. (lessons learned) thanks
