Week 5: Hello again, thanks for checking in on my grow of Wedding Cheesecake Auto by Fast Buds. So far things have gone pretty smoothly over the last 4 weeks and week 5 saw some good and some bad. First the good, some really good growth this week. Each plant grew around 5". The flower sites are increasing seemingly overnight and the LST had some pretty good results, so far.
Now, the bad. As you can see, in this weeks photos, I have developed a deficiency. I am still new, so I wasn't sure what to think about the yellowing bottom leaves or the burn spots. I thought it could have been any combination of things, from over/under feeding or light burn.
-My 1st mistake was letting it go, hoping it would start to fix itself from the feeding (2 days before last post). Things continued to get worse on the #1 and didn't show any signs of correction after this weeks feeding. So, I asked a question on the site this morning, and GrowingGrannie was kind enough to answer my question quickly and concisely. It seems I have a calcium deficiency and am not feeding them enough on feed day. I am also making a big mistake not tracking ph. I have a new ph tester and some ph up and ph down, on the way, they will be here tomorrow. This way I can check if an improper ph level is causing the issue and address it.
The plants were already fed for this week (on 12/10), before I had the above information from my question. So, all adjustments will be made during this next week. I am really hoping I can turn things around. I am learning so much and am enjoying the process. Thank you for looking, please feel free to comment any thoughts or suggestions, I really appreciate it all! ๐
