I'm taking a crack at these genetics once again -- I had to abort the last run due to plant health issues I couldn't resolve. - Week 0: 20SEP (Planted) From frozen (paper towel only) 70-75% RH early veg. - Week 1: 27SEP (recharge, neem) - Week 2: 04OCT (cal mag, molasses, neem) - Week 3: 11OCT Topped between 4th and 5th node. Organic Plant Food = 3/4cup start of wk3, 1 cup earthworm castings. 55-70% RH mid veg.

A little bit slower growth than my last NG run, but very healthy plants overall. - Week 4: 18OCT Small defoliation. 48hr compost tea (Should've done 24hr): 1/2 cup lobster compost, 2 ml cal-mag/gal, 1/2 cup worm castings, 1/4 tsp recharge, 1/4 tsp angel's touch, and 1-2 Tbsp molasses. +4 days 1/4 cup lobster meal top dress. Unfortunately, I moved a bit too quickly on my two main COLA LST. I snapped one completely off and made a half-assed attempt to duct tape it in place...Had I put 5 minutes into ensuring a solid reconnect, it would've grown back w/ no issues. The other three top COLA branches were slightly torn during LST, but not a major issue. All sites recovered except the one I snapped off. I'm at the dangerous stage of cannabis cultivation where I carry a bit too much confidence, thus I made mistakes in overwatering, not adequately mixing the soil w/ perlite, and moving unnecessarily quickly during training. FYI, the most dangerous military pilots are Lieutenant Commanders and Majors. Sadly, they take the cake on casualty metrics because they've been flying high-tempo OPS for 10 years, and give a little too much credence to gut instinct vice strict procedural compliance. Back to the basics. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast! 😁

- Week 5: 25OCT, Coast of Maine organic plant food 3/4 Cup (Way overfed due to misreading CoM chart, so do 1/4 cup next time), 1 cup earthworm castings (last week of veg). Cal-mag, recharge, angel's touch. Defoliate 28OCT. *27OCT: Flip flower* - Week 6: 03NOV, 1/4 cup CoM fish bone meal, cal-mag, recharge, angel's touch. 50% RH. Lollipop. - Week 7: 10NOV, Cal-mag, recharge, angel's touch. Overwatering issues due to a huge oversight while mixing soil -- I added perlite at the bottom, but forgot to mix it up...Yep, not the brightest move. Even though I'm using Happy Frog, drainage is an issue, so I'm watering every 3 days to ensure appropriate moisture levels. Moisture block in the center while the perimeter is dry, so I'm working hard to find that balance. I think I'll be able to work through this, but the plant is showing signs of overwatering (clawing).

I've seen both Mr. Canucks Grow and Home Grow TV grow NG, and they're spot-on regarding frosting. It's not even week 4 flower and bud sites are spitting out a *ton* of snow. If I don't mess things up, my sense is these gals are going to be absolute beauts! Fingers crossed 😎 - Week 9: 24NOV, 2 ml/gal Cal-mag, 1/4 tsp recharge, and 1/4 tsp angel's. 1 Cup earthworm castings top-dress.

Grow Summary: I managed to add a needless grow hurdle by forgetting to fully mix perlite and soil when planting. Yes, I first dumped in perlite, then soil, and did *not* mix...Not my best performance haha! I’ve dealt w/ nutrient issues associated w/ overwatering throughout (No surprises; compact soil doesn’t drain well. Need O2!). They're doing alright, but I've had to be very careful this pump when watering. Yield will definitely be impacted. Top dressed w/ 1/4 cup CoM fish bone meal in each 5-gal pot. Watered w/ a 24hr brewed tea (1 gal water, 2ml cal mag, 1/2 cup worm castings, 1/2 cup lobster compost, 2 TBSP molasses, 2/8 tsp angel's touch, 1/8 tsp recharge). Gettin' frosty! :)

All dry amendments were added week 5, so we're just coasting to harvest. As you can see from photos, these plants have responded quite differently to uniform care/environmentals. I suspect the less healthy plant responded poorly to a low-O2 environment (forgot to mix in perlite), while the healthy plant seems to be in full health (Additionally, I accidentally broke off main colas from both plants in veg, stressing them further). First time lollipopping as well. Although this is my first full run w/ NG, I'm surprised by small, albeit frosty bud dev. Hopefully she'll thicken up in the last 2-3 weeks of flower. Much to learn! Fingers crossed. Let me know what y'all think! Ideas, criticism, and advice are all welcome :)

Nothing but pH'd water this week and until harvest. My "fall colors" plant seems slightly further ahead than the mostly green plant. Fall colors plant: Dense buds, brown hairs, amber all up and down the sugar leaves, and almost 100% cloudy. Green plant: She's still spitting out white hairs, has yet to fade, thick buds, and 75% cloudy/25% clear. While I would have liked bigger buds, I'm fairly optimistic they'll make up for it in quality. I plan on working an 8-week veg during my next NG run to really thicken them up and increase COLA count. Headed out of town for Christmas, so I've set-up the auto system to let her finish off for one more week. Ideally, I'd be checking trichomes daily, but I'm keen to try a bit more amber in the final product, so one week unattended should work perfectly. Grow Diaries harvest posting mechanism a little janky, so I'll update y'all following the chop and two week dry.

Any thoughts on why one plant began to fade in week 4 flower and the other still hasn't? Same genetics, enviro, feed and water sked. Will press for one more week to finish trich dev. Does no fade mean more chlorophyll and a bad smoke, or does that break down occur while drying?

Different phenotypes, plants are not clones so they have their own traits to them even when they are from the same pack of seeds. Its also hard to say if the mediums did not develop a different bioome of microbes and this is how its presenting. I would not worry about this to much, your plants are looking great and its almost time to harvest. There maybe some other things that could be causing this, maybe, but its not worth your time or energy at this point. FYI: We will not be notified of any reply or tag [@] in the questions part of the website, if you need to reach out with other information use your DM "direct mailbox" in the bottom right hand corner of the page. it looks like a little paper airplane icon. Boom boom, baby! Boy am I surprised how these gals beefed up during my week away on the auto system. Previously, I was a little bummed at the slow/small bud dev, although bud quality was high. I opened the tent this afternoon and I tell ya, it was an absolute treat to see how well they have progressed in the final stages of growth. Dry and cure are critical to the final product, but I think it's safe to say this will be one of my best grows, if not *the* best. I apologize for the excessive self-praise, but check out those close-ups! (Zoom in for closer view) I have a 3-4 year old iPhone, so can you imagine what professional shots would look like?! Under the micro, these trichomes are offensive in their excess! Complete juice-fest!!! 😲😲😲 Foxtailing beginning, but common for this strain. Nothing but pH'd water this week. Surprisingly, trichome dev is still in the super milky phase -- 90:10 cloudy to amber ratio. I was worried I'd come back too late and find Amber Central, but it appears I was wrong and we're exactly where I want to be. I might push another 3-5 days, then shift to 2-day dark period, followed by a 10-14 day dry, and 30-day cure. Much to be excited and grateful for! 🙌 😁 **Any photographers out there have tips on shooting quality close-ups w/ an iPhone? I’ve seen solid black backgrounds help bring out the shots. Thoughts on common household items for best lighting?** My next update should be after the cure. Thanks for stopping by! 🙏

I've heard growers (Mr. Canucks Grow) say they like to push their plants until there are a few seeds in their final product. What does that mean exactly and is there any wisdom in that thinking? Does it mean their plants hermie and self-polinate? How does that work in fem seeds?

I like the mr canucks grow. I use it a lot myself, I do find my plants never turn out the same as his and there is rumours he is doing other things to them and not documenting it. I can see in the background of most of his grows he has many other things hes adding into the mediums that he does not speak of like BSM and various bags of powder, I also find Gaia Green needs more magnesium or it gets issues. You are correct in guessing that it makes self pollinated fem seed, and its very similar to how people make fem seeds and fem pollen on a larger scale. Besides that though. growing a plant out for it to produce seeds on its own is a waist of time to me. If you want seeds use silver and make fem pollen then pollinate another plant, it makes a fuck ton all at once not just a few. Stress nanners end of grow are not that potent in fertility from my understanding and seeds need 4 weeks min to mature on the plant, by that time your plant will have to much CBN it will be couch lock. To make pollen for fems they use silver to block a plant hormone that allows it to become intersex and if the plant is originally fem its pollen will contain 99.9% fem genetics. If both parents are female the offspring is also female. where as male plants and female plants have a 50/50 chance of being male or female. some say fem seeds are garbage because its not good genetics but for me growing small amounts out its perfect! I do not want to deal with culling half my tent do to them being males and useless to me. If i started a business then yea I'd deal with males and female reg seed, but that's not me. i'm not abreeder or really even a pollen chucker "amateur seed maker" I have also done be own fem product and make seeds, and I have also grew out accidental self pollinated seeds from female plants and one was a male. silver fem seed project growdiaries.com/diaries/129779-grow-journal-by-m0use Accidental fem seed where one was a male. growdiaries.com/diaries/49742-dinafem-og-kush-autoflowering-grow-journal-by-m0use Good Luck!

10 weeks in flower on the nose -- *CHOP* at Week 10 flower, Week 15 from seed. Overall, I'm very happy w/ the way these turned out, particularly because I made it more difficult than needed -- Bad soil aeration. I'll give the full grow run-down later on, once they've cured for a couple weeks. I plan on pressing both trim dry-sift and ~2 week cured flower -- If they press well, I'll probably do a 50/50 split, so I can share some flower w/ friends and family 😁

Square One Genetics pumps out top-shelf genes -- Nana Glue flower is strong, tasty, and absolutely coated; top COLA bud pressed at 27%...INSANE! *New NG pump started this week, so follow along if you're interested in seeing how my third NG run works-out! Will carry them much further in veg to see if I can grow two beautiful monsters!* Handling this bud is a messy task -- Like managing a spilled glue container. Was a joy to see this particular quality; frankly, a bit shocked to know I'd grow it! Good luck staying clean!!! 😁 Ground Flower Profile: Heavy pine-sol w/ a kick of gas. Rookie mistake that certainly impacted yield/quality. 2) I broke off one main COLA on each plant...sheesh! This was the first time I decided to spend a pretty penny on premo genetics and boy am I happy I did. Even w/ piss poor soil (didn't mix in perlite, so had watering issues), these gals performed beautifully. Trichome production was off the charts -- Completely coated w/ sticky goodness. I'm a relatively new grower, so I have much to learn, but that doesn't seem to have entirely held them back. By far the best grow I've had! At the end of the day, the yield was small, but holy hell is this premium product. Nana Glue is the best cannabis I've had the pleasure of enjoying, alongside my favorite commercial strain (Gas Station Sushi). I will say that that there are profile differences between the grind and smoke; freshly ground carries a *strong* pine-sol odor w/ a gas kick, but the flower and rosin smoke holds more floral and lavender notes. Overall Profile: Floral, pine, lavender, w/ a touch of gas. On the testing front, I'm a poor home-grower w/ no viable lab testing options, thus I'm a T-Check groupie. Hate on T-Check all you want - I have doubts myself- but it's all I have. As a reference, prior Amnesia Express and Northern Lights grows tested @ 16-18% THC, which fit experienced effects. Nana Glue tested @ 27.8-29.9% THC -- Yes, I'm skeptical I grew 30% THC flower, but this strain is definitely POTENT! I'm a daily smoker and half a joint gets me well-lifted, my friends! 🙏😁 Would recommend NG to any growers looking to work w/ high-end genetics. You won't be let down! Regardless of the self-inflicted grow challenges, both of these gals performed tremendously. Although the yield was HALF of what I typically see, the quality of flower is top-notch. Couldn't ask for a better final product. For the rosin crew, she presses like a champ. 27% return on top COLA bud. Can't recommend this strain enough!
