This will be my first time growing indoors as well as my first time growing autoflowers! All 4 seeds popped within 72 hours using the paper towel method and each one was sowed in their own 5-gallon Smart Pot filled with soil on the morning of April 21st. The soil I am using is a mix of the following: Pro-Mix Organic Vegetable & Herb (~60-65%), FFOF (~15-20%), and Perlite (~20-25%). The soil was given a good soaking in water before being moved underneath the light in my tent (4’x4’x80”) to sit for a day or two before the seeds were sowed. As of right now, I am using a VIPARSPECTRA Reflector-Series 600W LED light for these seedlings but plan to use a Marshydro Mars II 1200 LED light for the rest of the grow once it arrives. I still need to find a proper meter so I can measure PPM. _________ -As of the morning of April 22nd, the Dinafem Industrial Plant Autoflowering CBD is the first one to break through the soil! -As of the morning of April 23rd, the other 3 have broken through the soil. -As of the morning of April 27th, I have recorded some of the temperature and humidity fluctuations at different times of the past few days and have calculated an average temperature of 70.5F and a RH of 42%. I have been rotating the saucers/pots every few hours to try and naturally build up some stem strength and discourage early stretching without moving the light too close. -As of the morning of April 28th, the plants have been under the new MarsHydro Mars II 1200 LED light since yesterday evening and have really taken to it. Temperature has increased up to ~81F constant and humidity seems to fluctuate between 39-51% with the average being about 45% RH. Plants have not yet been watered or fed as the soil is still warm and moist from its initial soaking.

As of the morning of April 29th, the plants have received their first watering/feeding. I was gifted some sample packs of Elite nutrients by one of the owners of my local hydro store and will see how they do. The water used was rain water that was collected and filtered from the storms of the last couple days. As of the evening of April 30th, I watered plants in the late afternoon with plain water ph'ed to 6.3. The plants range in size between 1.75” tall (Industrial Plant Autoflowering CBD by Dinafem) to 2.5” tall (Seedsman White Widow Auto). I misread my feeding numbers I had written down when trying to convert ml to tsp and accidentally gave too much to them on the first feed! They look healthy but today I gave them regular water just to be safe. I decided to move the lights from 18” away to 26” away. The temperature in the tent is staying around 73F and the humidity is staying around 40%. As of the afternoon of May 3rd, I added a pot of water to try and bump the humidity levels in the tent up a little bit to something more consistent. I've been having humidity in the tent fluctuate between 27%-41% throughout the past few days and I don't know if I should be concerned? As of the evening of May 4th, Industrial Plant is on Day 13 and all other plants are on Day 12. Mephisto Genetics Ripley's OG is 2.5” tall, Seedsman White Widow is 2.5” tall, Dinafem Critical Jack is 2.25” tall, and Dinafem Industrial Plant CBD is 2.25” tall. The stems on all 4 plants have definitely gotten thicker and the leaf growth is really taking off! They'll probably need their next water & feed here in a couple of days at the beginning of Week 3. As of the evening of May 5th, both the Marshydro Mars II 1200 and the ViparSpectra Reflector Series 600 LED lights are running in the tent; with a combined true wattage of approximately 790 watts. A new hygrometer was purchased because my old one died. I went ahead and updated the new temperature and humidity readings in the tent.

As of the night of May 8th, the plants are getting bigger and the growth seems to be faster every day now. The Seedsman White Widow Auto and the Dinafem Critical Jack Auto have even started to develop a slight skunky/danky smell already! I watered & fed all of the plants tonight because they were thirsty. As of the afternoon of May 11th, the plants continue a crazy amount of growth each day. I've never done a grow indoors or with autoflowers before for that matter, so it's cool to see these plants take off so quickly. I took some measurements just to see how tall they are: Mephisto Ripley's OG is 5" tall, Dinafem Critical Jack Auto is 6.5" tall, Dinafem Industrial Plant Autoflowering CBD is 6" tall, and Seedsman White Widow Auto is 5.5" tall. All plants are between 22-24" from the lights. I noticed these last couple days that the Seedsman White Widow Auto has some yellow/orange spots on some of the fan leaves; my guess is probably some minor nutrient burn. Temperature and Humidity ratings have increased slightly but are staying more consistent now. I might start on some LST before the end of Week 3... As of the afternoon of May 12th, all 4 plants have been watered and fed again. I played around with some bending and leaf tucking last night and this morning. I already managed to snap a lower branch each on the Ripley's OG and White Widow plants, so apparently I need to be more careful. The Seedsman White Widow Auto has some gold coloring on the edges of its fan leaves, perhaps it is less tolerant to the feed?

As of the afternoon of May 15th, I have begun some LST with binder clips/safety pins and some soft pipe cleaners. With the exception of the Critical Jack, I think most of the plants are showing some signs of excess Calcium and Nitrogen so I am going to take CALiMAGic out of their feeding regimen and cut the nutrients down to 1/4 strength as of this afternoon. The Dinafem Critical Jack Auto is now the tallest plant and seems to be the healthiest one of the bunch at this point, she keeps amazing me every day. The Seedsman White Widow Auto is not very tolerant to feedings and its stems & branches seem to be weaker than the others; very bushy. Both the Dinafem Industrial Plant Autoflowering CBD and the Mephisto Ripley's OG are very healthy but are growing very squat and bushy -- which made trying some LST for the first time a bit more challenging! As of the evening of May 17th, I noticed pre-flowers on both the Critical Jack and the Ripley's OG. The Critical Jack is certainly stretching out right now! The White Widow and the Industrial Plant CBD look like they should be getting pre-flowers by the end of the week. The Critical Jack has taken to being under the ViparSpectra 600 light more than the MarsHydro Mars II 1200 light -- something to keep an eye on?

As of the afternoon of May 22nd, all plants except for the Seedsman White Widow Auto appear to be in flowering now. The Critical Jack Auto is 22" tall, the Industrial Plant CBD is 17" tall, the Ripley's OG is 16" tall, and the runt of the bunch is the Seedsman White Widow Auto at 11" tall. The plants are starting to develop their own unique smells. Continuing some LST and leaf-tucking as these plants continue to stretch as they start flowering. As of the morning of May 25th, I watered/fed all of the plants with Week 5 nutrients from Elite Garden at 1/4 strength. I also added CALiMAGic back into the feeding schedule because a few of the plants were showing some signs of deficiency on the bigger fan leaves. The White Widow plant is showing pre-flowers now and is starting to stretch a tiny bit. I don't know if I should start defoliating to open up more light to bud sights yet... how should I go about this?

May 28th: Fed all of the plants this morning. May 31st: All of the plants are showing signs of light burn so I moved the lights up so that they are all at least 24" from the plant canopies. I can always take the ViparSpectra light out of the tent if it becomes an issue since the MarsHydro light says it can cover my 4'x4' space in bloom. There is also some yellowing/rusting of the sides and veins of some of the upper leaves surrounding the main colas on both the Industrial Plant Autoflowering CBD and the Ripley's OG. The plants were thirsty this morning so I just gave them all a nice drink with water PH'ed to 6.5 and let it run off to about 15% just to be safe. All of the plants are on Day 38 (except for Industrial Plant Autoflowering CBD who is on Day 39). June 1st: Turns out being lazy and not taking the time to PH my runoff water this whole time came back to bite me in the ass a little bit -- lesson learned! I tested it on a whim this evening and it was 7.0. From the advice I got online (here and r/autoflowers) and in person (my local hydro store owner is a really smart old head), it seems like there is enough nutrient lock-out going on that I should be concerned. I was told to give it another feed with some increased strength on my nutrients (from 1/4 to 1/2 strength) + full feed of Cal/Mag + PH the water down to 5.8-6.0. I did that this evening and I'll take some pics/videos tomorrow or Saturday for an update and to give a better idea of what the problems look like. June 4th: Raising the lights so that they are both 24+ inches away and flushing with PH'ed nutrient water at increased dosages seems to have done the trick. Both the Industrial Plant and Ripley's OG still show some signs of deficiency/lockout from the PH issue. It's something I'll keep an eye on. I have noticed an odd thing with the Seedsman White Widow Auto... when I check on her in the morning she looks plenty healthy and is stretching -- but when I check in the afternoon or evening, she's always drooping. The medium is still nice and damp less than a knuckle down. What could be causing this?

June 5th: Watered and fed all plants this afternoon. White Widow keeps alternating between droopy and stretchy throughout the day??? June 6th: I added a small, electric space heater to one corner of the tent on a low-medium setting. The weather here has been inconsistent and I've had problems recently with fluctuating humidity and temperatures. The temperature had been dropping down to below 65F and the RH was getting up to around 70-75%. We'll see if this small addition helps at all -- who knows, maybe it will cheer up the ever-droopy White Widow. June 8th: The addition of the space heater has worked out great so far! My temperature has gone up to a range of 78-82F and the RH has gone down to a range of 47-52%. White Widow really liked the slight climate change in the tent and is no longer drooping all the time. This morning I watered everyone except Ripley (who wasn't thirsty) with CALiMAGic and water PH'ed to 6.3. I took some height measurements and here are the results: White Widow - 31", Critical Jack - 26", Ripley's OG - 24.5", and Industrial Plant CBD - 23.5". Their smells are much more noticeable as of this morning! Critical Jack smells like straight spicy fuel, Industrial Plant CBD has a lovely citrus-mint aroma, White Widow smells like earth & skunk, and Ripley's OG has a very interesting smell that I can't quite put my finger on. I almost want to say it smells a bit like Kiwi. June 10th: All plants are on Day 49 which is the last day of Week 7. Ripley's OG was thirsty and is on her "just water & CALiMAGic" day so that's all she got. Everyone else was thirsty and on their feed day so I fed them. We are due for a heat wave as of today so I might remove the small space heater from the tent if it gets too warm in there.

It is day 60 from sprout for all four plants as of today (6/21/2017). Critical Jack's leaves started to get a pale, sickly, yellow color to them over the past few days. The weird thing I noticed was that the Critical Jack has lower bud sites and weaker branches who look very much green and alive whereas the leaves around the larger bud sites look like they're about to die off. I have also noticed similar coloration developing on the Industrial Plant over the last couple days. I am not sure what this could be since it really only seems to be effecting Critical Jack and Industrial Plant. Maybe the 2 Dinafem plants are sensitive to losing the Root Igniter & Root Tonic supplements from the Elite nutrients schedule. White Widow seems to have stopped growing upwards and she is my tallest girl at 31". She seems to be on a slower pace through this part of the flowering stage but she is no longer temperamental when it comes to the changes in humidity and temperature. Speaking of which, summer has kicked off here and temperatures have stabilized with relatively high heat and humidity now. I turned off the heater in the tent over the last week because it's warmer in the space where my tent is located. Ripley's OG just has fat frosty nuggets all over the place that smell like fruit salad! I am itching to try her when she's all finished -- sadly, it's gonna be a little while longer. She is starting to show some slivers of red and purple on her sugar leaves and buds as of Day 60. I have looked at the trichomes from all of the plants with both a 60x loupe and a 100x optical microscope and I have not seen any amber yet. Critical Jack seems to be the closest to being done -- her trichomes all seem to be milky.

I began the flush on Critical Jack Auto on Day 62 and plan on harvesting her within the next few days as she has started to show some amber on some of her trichomes. I began flushing Ripley's OG on Day 67 and I think she should be ready to harvest in another week or two. Industrial Plant CBD Autoflowering is growing really fat, heavy buds all over and she keeps shaking her support tape! I might have to upgrade to some more legitimate supports to try and hold those side-branches of her's up. White Widow Auto is still a couple weeks behind all of the others developmentally but she's still rockin'.

Critical Jack was ready to be harvested on Day 69 and was harvested a couple days later on day 71. She has a pungent smell of common cooking herbs & dank. These buds are coated in resin and they glisten nearly everywhere there is some ambient light. After curing for 1 week in jars (I will update if there is any change after a longer cure), the compact, gluey nugs have a predominantly fruity taste that is pleasant on the palate. High is mostly body with a nice tingly buzzing sensation traveling around my body, pain relief (had just lifted weights the day before and was sore before testing), and generally felt comfortable/relaxed without losing focus/energy. Good stress reliever bud.

July 2nd: Critical Jack Auto got her chop today on Day 71 with about 10% amber trichomes. Strung up some twine in a cool, dry room and hung the branches up to start the drying process. Unfortunately, this room does not have a carbon filter and therefore, the whole house reeks of DANK. Now, there are just 3 girls in the tent. I'm thinking 3 plants in 7-gallon smartpots might be the most efficient use of my space for my next run. July 5th: I noticed that Ripley's OG was starting to get some signs of light bleaching on the tops of its main colas when I was checking trichomes here on Day 74. I have had some issues with light burn periodically throughout this first run. I decided to just turn off the veg lights on the ViparSpectra light. I know my Mars light covers 4'x4' but I tried to see how much light I could push on these girls in addition with my extra ViparSpectra light. I don't think I need the ViparSpectra light and might as well well look into setting up an additional tent so it doesn't go to waste! July 7th: A family member told me to check out a local outlet/discount store because they had some good supplies for cheap. I found 3-dozen bamboo rods for $4.50 -- which is great because I desperately needed supports for all of these fat buds. I used some plant tape and pipe cleaners to help me fasten the branches to the bamboo rods. I was also able to find some supplies for harvest time on the cheap. I started flushing Industrial Plant as of today because I think she should be about 1-2 weeks away. As of now, all measurements will be for Seedsman White Widow Auto because she is the only one not getting flushed or harvested!

Ripley''s OG was harvested on Day 82 with about 15% amber trichomes. The only trouble this plant gave me that is worth mentioning is the fact that she was a pain in the ass to trim! Most of her buds (aside from the top buds) are fluffy and leafy. It has a unique, funky-herbal smell that I can''t quite put my finger on. Produces a long-lasting all-over high that is great for most situations.

Ripley's OG was harvested on Day 82 when she had a sufficient amount of amber trichomes. White Widow & Industrial Plant (who is still being flushed) are the only 2 left in the tent as of now, the other 2 are in the room hang-drying. The temperature in the tent has gone up to the mid 70's and the humidity has dropped down to the high 40's.

-Industrial Plant, for the last 2 weeks, has wanted just 1 drink a week. She was thirsty again so I continued her on her flush today (Day 91). Her trichomes and pistils are showing signs of continued maturation but her trichomes have not even gotten to all milky yet. I will continue to let her do her thing! -White Widow is packing on the weight! One of her largest side colas has bent under the weight of its top bud and regardless of being tied to one of the bamboo supports, still flops around a bit. Her buds and leaves are starting to show some very pretty red and purple hues. Funny how she was such a problem child in late veg and now in flower, has been a real champ.

Right now I am just playing the waiting game with White Widow and Industrial Plant. Both have shown signs of maturation with their trichomes but neither one has a majority of milky trichomes yet. In hindsight, I should have waited until Industrial Plant was more mature before I started flushing her -- I've lost a few weeks that I could have been continuing to fatten her up. I added more bamboo rods and tied branches to them with some plant tape on both plants. White Widow's buds are rock hard and keep bending its branches so hopefully the extra support will help. I cut off the main cola and a side cola of Industrial Plant CBD due to bud rot that I failed to notice for roughly a week. After cutting out all of the bud rot I could find on Industrial Plant I checked over her and White Widow meticulously to make sure everything was kosher. I added a spare oscillating fan in the tent to try and improve air circulation in the room. I have had trouble with humidity and temperature shifts throughout this grow -- something I'll have to dial in as I progress. I imagine the climate shifts combined with how thick the main cola was probably contributed to the bud rot. Seedsman White Widow Auto is ready to be harvested as of Day 100. Over 2 days her trichomes really started to turn amber. I have started flushing her as of today and plan to harvest a day or two into the start of Week 15. As for Dinafem Industrial Plant Autoflowering CBD? I am thinking of just cutting my losses if her trichomes haven't gotten to at least majority-milky by the time White Widow gets chopped. She just looks mostly-dead and only wants a drink once every 7-10 days now. That and I have some new gear I really want to test out, as well as some different ideas for my second run that I've been itching to get started on.

On Day 104, I decided to go ahead and chop down Industrial Plant CBD. Her trichomes are still not even 75% milky and there are no signs of amber. She continued to get a little more bud rot in her bigger top buds the last few days before her death -- despite some recent upgrades to increase airflow and stabilize the temperature in my environment. She continued to look sicker and sicker as time went on without seeing any real trichome development so I decided to put her out of her misery at last. If I had to guess based on eyeballing what was still salvageable... I think I should still end up with about 2 ounces of dry material when it's all over. Her buds are quite sticky and resinous -- more so than any of my others -- that combined with the density of the flowers must have made it that much more difficult to keep the mold & bud rot at bay. White Widow still needs another few days to complete her flush but she is looking fantastic and her donkey-dick buds keep flopping out of their supports. She is my biggest plant and she has some huge buds that feel rock hard; so I'm curious to see what she yields. I should have harvest reports on these last 2 plants within the next 2 weeks.

This plant produced the most pungent and sticky buds of the 4 I grew during this run. I am very impressed that I still pulled 86g off her considering I lost at least another 1-2oz from the rotted out main cola and side-tops. There is certainly a ton of potential with this plant with regard to its resin production and yield but I don''''t feel like the genetics are completely stable with this one because she had trouble maturing while still retaining her health and eventually stunted before being cut down on a count of mercy. Not the prettiest looking bud but it smokes nicely and helps me get to sleep.

Great bud for a freebie. Really nice, classic stone to it. Gives a nice case of the giggles and munchies. Great for a night on the town.
