Started seeds on 10/22/22 in 40/40/20 ffhf/ffof/perlite under humidity domes. Still dialing in the tent conditions and watering levels.

Knocked over one of the Do-Si-Dos 33 while installing a fan. I got it back in the pot with most of the soil, so we'll se if it's able to rebound. Other plants look pretty good.

Topped all four plants - messed up the topping on the CBS and only left one growth tip. Tied them down to the sides of the pots with pipe cleaners.

Started doing some light defoliation in anticipation of flipping to 12/12 at the end of the week. Got a chunk of closet shelving and some bricks to serve as a pot riser.

I'm worried that I might've top dressed with too many nutes, so we'll see how it plays out once they break down. Trying to figure out the art of the trellis. Cutting lower growth and inward facing leaves about every third day.

Raising the light a little bit every day as the ladies stretch to keep it at 12". I've pretty much run out of space in the trellis for training, so now they're free to do what they want. As far as I can tell they haven't shown any nutrient issues from the heavy top dressing a couple weeks ago. Haven't added anything since then, just trying to keep the soil happy with some microbes.

Everything is going pretty smoothly. CBS looks like she's showing some deficiencies, but she's been my problem child this run. Bumped light intensity from 75 up to 80% and made my first attempt at supercropping on the BttF. One branch was successful, the other one split on the side. I think I need to squeeze it more I'm the future before bending. Fortunately I think the branch will recover.

Things are going along fairly smoothly. Top dressed with dry amendments on day 23f and added a bit of epsom salt to Dosidos 1 and CBS to give a little mag boost. Nothing smelling much yet. Dosidos 1 - closest to the lower fan so she's getting watered slightly sooner than her sister which might explain some slight deficiencies showing up this week. CBS - still looks less healthy than the other three but bud development has been decent. Slightly shorter than the other strains and more pistils, less trich development. Back to the Future 2 - biggest stretcher in the tent by far but didn't flinch at some late supercropping. Very frosty so hopefully buds will bulk up a bit. Dosidos 2 - just a happy plant with good trich production so far.

Overall things are looking pretty good. Top dressing again about two weeks after the last one. Dosidos 1&2 - looking and smelling great. Pheno 1 is a little taller and has a purple tint to some of the leaves, but both are growing pretty similarly. CBS - this plant has been my problem child most of this grow and continues to show issues. Some leaves look sickly, others look fine. On the bright side the buds are filling in nicely. Going to try feeding a little more and see if she likes it. BttF2 - finally stopped stretching and is starting to fill in the large spaces between the nodes. Generally healthy plant.

Pretty smooth week. Realizing I should've done a bit more defoliation around trellis level where I've got a lot of little budsites competing for space. Dosidos 1 (purple-er pheno) - beautiful plant with lots of frosty little buds. Nice colors in the pistils this week. CBS - still looks sickly. Gave her a shot of the Neptune's Harvest this week but she looks about the same. Despite her yellowing and mottled spots on the leaves her buds keep filling in. BttF2 - Looking pretty good. She's closer to the light than the other 3 but doesn't seem to have any issues with the extra rays. Dosidos 2 (frostier pheno) - Also looking healthy and dripping with trichomes. Accidentally got a little resin on my hand and it smelled like Sweet Tarts.

Day 49F. Another pretty smooth week. Buds are starting to fill in and smelling much stronger. I think I'm done giving nutes, just clean water and a little root stimulator from here on out. Dosidos 1 - purple pheno looking great, just beautiful with all the colors. CBS - deficiency issues seem to have slowed down and she's looking mostly healthy. Prob the stinkiest of the 4. Smells like a nutty coffee. BttF2 - starting to see some foxtailing but prob just because she so close to the light. Healthy plant. Dosidos 2 - still frostier than her sister, maybe filling in a bit slower. Most excited to smoke this one.

Starting to see a fade especially in the lower leaves. Dosidos 33 pheno 1: The undisputed star of this very small production. Beautiful purple fade on the leaves and dense trichs filling in on each bud. Seeing some early amber through the microscope so she might finish early. CBS: picked up a pretty decent gnat problem but it's late enough I'm just going to set traps. Looking and smelling good, very colorful buds. BttF2: still throwing tons of white pistils and very little color in the older ones. Might be a late finisher. Dosidos 33 pheno 2: looks pretty good, not as much of a fade yet as the others and not as frosty in the end as her sister.

Harvested at day 63. It turned out that the chocolate/espresso aromas that were coming from the tent were originating from this plant, and they've fortunately translated well to the dried flower, which now also has a creamy peanut butter scent and nutty flavor to the smoke. Average yield of fairly resinous buds and a bit of foxtailing that may have been down to the light distance.

Very excited about my first living soil run in this 2x4. Not much to compare the nutrients against since it's my first grow, but I'm excited to take what I've learned and make the next plants even better.

Harvested at Day 63 - 69 grams of dried buds harvested. This plant was a nice producer, but the buds it produced certainly weren't worth the stress. Not much in the way of trichome coverage, the high is a bit lacking, and then there's the issue of the nanners. I don't know if this strain is prone to nanners or if it was a result of some of the issues during the grow, but they got really bad at the end. There's a bit of chem in the aroma and flavor, but it's lacking much in the way of discernable terps compared to the other plants in this harvest.

I tried what I could with this strain, and I felt like I turned around some of the nutrient deficiency issues by supplementing with Neptune's Harvest, but I was happy to chop her down in the end and not for the right reasons.

Both of the plants produced sticky, stinky, beautiful buds. Not big producers, but very easy to grow and true to the advertised harvest window. The purple pheno I had was definitely the winner, finishing a week earlier than her sister (Day 57) and still producing a higher yield (57.25 grams dried bud). I used the Lotus Method to dry her in a mini-fridge for 2 weeks before jarring. The greener pheno still yielded pretty well (54.75g at Day 63), and was dried along with the two TasteBudz plants in the dry room. The aroma and flavor has high notes that remind me of Sweetarts and a kind of gnarly onion/garlic backbone.

On the 13th day after the seeds were planted, I dropped an oscillating fan in the grow tent and spilled one of these Dosidos 33 out of her pot and onto the floor of the tent. I panicked and tried to pick up the little seedling and bits of soil and replace it in the pot as well as I could, but I was convinced I'd killed one of my plants. Within a couple days you wouldn't have known anything happened. I'm so glad she survived, because she grew into a beautiful purple plant that ended up finishing early.

Nicely filled tent with healthy and happy looking ladies. Like the way how you try to make an even canopy with different strains. Wish you a successful flowering.🌞🌱
