Swollen Let's start this new adventure with this Fastbuds photoperiodic strain: Gorilla Glue #4 x Orange Sherbet!
I've already a name for her: Gigi.
Hope to grow her at the best. I've learned a lot by my past experiences and now I want to do serious business with Gigi
The seed completely germinated in 2 and a half days without problems at 23°C in ph'd 6.1 dechlorinated water. 24 hours in glass and then 36 hours in paper towel.
After one day at 22°C with a stable 70%rh, Gigi came out of the ground! 🌱 3 days and a half from seed to sprout. Not bad at all!

Day 2: 200 ml ph'd 6.3 solution with Power Roots and Pure Zym
Day 4: She's doing well. I've watered with the same solution and a bit of Great White. From now till the end of the second week root development and structural reinforcement will be my priority.
Day 5: I've measured the ph from the runoff and it's a solid 6.3. Not bad 👍
Day 7: Added one drop of Silica in the same solution of water. I want a strong tree 🌲

Is this the first sign of nutrients burn? Some tips of the leaves are turning yellowish and two leaves are starting to make dark dots...maybe too much nitrogen? 🤔The temperatures in my grow box are a little bit low, but I don't think it's the case. The ph is regular.

Yup, it is... I'm not seeing the dark spots you've mentioned but the tips are saying she's getting a bit too much food. If there are dark spots coming up, she could probably use a dose of calmag before that deficiency comes full force. Otherwise, she's looking very good! I can't wait to try the fast versions from FastBuds... If your grow is any indication, they're going to be wonderful!

Swollen Day 24: This is a cold week. Minor nitrogen burn and calmag deficiencies after the second topping. I'll use only calmag and water for two or three days.
Day 26: She's strong and vigorous but I have to be more cautious with trainings and feedings.

Swollen Hi everyone! Gigi is going very well except for one thing: gnats! I saw a couple of them flying over the soil and now I'm really concerned about it. However, the plants seems to be healthy but with a slowed growth. I'll obviously ask to all of you about how to get rid of them. 😁

I put up a diary
With many different methods. And I swear. It got so bad. All I had to to was push a little soil about. And about 50 little shits that are waiting on their wings.
So, yellow sticky traps..fruit fly traps will get rid of any males.. and then its your job to sort out the soil.
There's num ways to treat it. Have a look.
Cinnamon you use to pour around the traps as its a natural fun they'll go to that. And you trap them or lay out some pest DE around it.
Let you soil dry out. If you have to feed from the bottom up. So just sit your pot in a few 100mls of water. No nutrients. This might cause light green on sides of leafs but it's part in parcel of getting rid of them. Now when your soil is dry by a few inches on top. You'll have inert larva just watering for you to water again. So gently remove the 1st few inches (this is just an extra percausion..
Have a look at my diary. Fungas gnats, fruit flies.
The flyers like to get near the lights or exhaust fan you'll catch a lot with yellow bug traps..

Day 36: Gigi is in good shape, the only thing to do is eliminating the gnats. So I've read all of your suggestions ( thanks to all of you🙏 ) and I started to dry the medium and putting sticky traps! I've already catched few of them! For this week I'll water only under the vase in small doses.
Day 39: Defoliated in some areas. Gnats almost eliminated.
Day 41: I think gnats are been exterminated, but I'll be cautious in the next weeks. One new vigorous branch came up from under the plant, I'm trying to train him to be the central branch in the middle of the mainlined plant.
I think in two weeks I'll switch to 12/12. Let me know if you think it's good like this or if I have to wait more!

After the gnats infestation some leaves tips are yellow, but that's not a problem at all I think. I'm watering one liter every four days now and I can see that my baby loves it, just good ph'd water. Now I'm "washing" the soil for about two weeks so I can use flowering nutes later. I think in one and half or two weeks I can put her in flowering, or I will not have enough space to contain her!
Day 44: She's reacting very well to all the trainings. I did some minor defoliation on the top and in the middle.
Day 49: Unstoppable. Full of leaves again. Next week I'll defoliate more and better for a good light penetration before the flowering stage.

Swollen Week 8: the last week of veg for Gigi!
During these days I've started watering normally again with ph'd water and some additive.
This week was really flat: nothing bad or good happened, I think it's time to put her 12/12 and start the flowering session. I'll defoliate the next week, she need some chill before the light change. I'm troubleshooting with my reflex and pc right now, this old stuff doesn't work. 😑 However I've managed to do something. Making some beats and growing right now and I'm feeling good after work😁

I've switched to 12/12. Gigi is starting to stretch, 7cm in a week, not bad.
Day 57: Added Alga Bloom, Terpinator and a bit of powder kelp to the feeding solution.
Day 59: Turned on the dehumidifier. I want more high temps and less humidity. Rh% is now 50/55. I'm lowering the ph of my nutrients solution to 6.1
Day 63: I see lot of buds points, very good 👍 if this genetic grows rock hard flowers like a real GG4, I think this plant will be amazing! I've rotated the plant position 180° and added a reflective mat under the vase.
Next week I'll defoliate very well Gigi. It's time to see some beautiful buds.

Swollen Week 10 and second week of flowering for Gigi!
Ok this week was a mess. My red cat strikes again. But this time in the worst way possible: jumping on the roof of the box and dropping the lamp on Gigi.
It seems fine by the way, nothing really terrible happened, maybe we will talk about it again during the middle of the flowering session. I have to say I was very scared for the health of the plant, but luckily she recovered well. Two branches broke, not a big deal, Gigi is strong.
Day 64: added Pk 13-14 and Sugar Royal on the feeding solution and defoliated.
Day 66: the lamp fell on Gigi. 😵
Day 70: I think she recovered very well. I'm starting to see thricomes. I'm smelling some orange scents...

Third week of flowering. Finally I can see trichomes and flowers getting bigger.
She grown up in height as well. At the end of this week I've raised the lamp 5cm more than usual because I've seen some yellowing on the central cola. Turned the pot 180° again.
Next week I'll defoliate her again for the last time.
Day 72: watered with only pure zym and calmag. I don't wanna overfert her too much.
Day 77:watered again with same solution. Next week I'll defoliate and add all the nutrients plus Plagron's green sensation.

Fourth week of flowering: I think she'll won't stretch up anymore. She's really compact and strong, a six pack genetic! Buds are fatting up right now, I've added Plagron's Green Sensation to the nutrient solution during this week and defoliated some leaves. Reading around the site I've discovered a VPD chart and how to regulate the rh and temperature in the sweet spot. Now I'm at 48% rh and 26C° at the top of Gigi. I'm learning a lot during this grow, really happy about it.
Day 79: watered properly with all the nutrients in the solution. Defoliated some leaves.
Day 84: Watered again with all the nutrients, she's hungry. Following a VPD chart seems to helping the buds getting bigger and now I'm smelling scents of mandarin and orange over them 🧡

Fifth week of flower: Buds are fattening up and trichomes are becoming milky...Guys if you try to grow this genetic, keep in mind this thing: use a good filter! This plant smells a lot and amazingly good 👍
Day 86: Watered properly with all the nutrients. Rh is about 50/55% and temperature 25°C.
Day 90: Watered again with half the nutrients. She drinks a lot.
Guys, now it's time to talk about the disaster happened with the lamp 3 weeks ago. The lamp crashed on the main branches snapping them...but Gigi simply doesn't give a s*** about it and flowered.

Six weeks of flowering.
Ok now we are talking! Buds are fattening up and trichomes are starting to get very milky, I want to try to take a picture of them really close but I don't know how. If someone in the community knows some good instruments for taking trichomes pictures please let me know. 🙏 However, Gigi is doing well and I think I'll flush her in two weeks or maybe the next week, we'll see.
Day 92: watering with all nutrients. She drinks a lot, almost 2 lt every 2 day.
Day 95: some leaves are turning yellow, I think maybe I've overfert her or it's just a ph issue. I need to check it.
Day 98: watered with only pure zym and a little silica. Cutted some leaves.

Wounded but beautiful...a real warrior.
Compact, resistant and reliable. If you are a newbie to photoperiods, I can confidently say that this is a strain for you. My Gigi has taken the brunt of three toppings, continuous LST and HST, not to mention the lamp my cat dropped on her and snapped her main trunk almost in half! She is resistant to low temperatures: the first month of growing the night temperatures in the grow box dropped to 13°C. She just doesn't care about anything and she keeps growing, wonderful! She didn't stretch that much during flowering but she grew beautiful orange smelling buds full of trichomes, I think she is the most limonene genetic I have ever grown. Great Fastbuds genetics, I want to try growing this one outdoors one day!

Swollen During the harvest I've collected lot of trims. I think this genetic will be great for extractions.
I've dried all the buds in the tent at 50%rh, 23°C with indirect ventilation for three weeks. Now are curing in a dark room at 21°C inside a jar with a 58% Boveda.

@Autofutur, I grow in a tiny tent (60x60x160) so I will stretch and train her as much as I can. I think I'll veg her 7/8 weeks. I need to see how fast she grow before doing previsions

Yes with the space you will have to be more careful with the height .I guess you can always supercrop them
