As the plants are ripening and getting closer to harvest, I'm continuing to lower ppm levels while managing bucket water levels and ph. We're exactly at day 56 of flower (5/5/23) on Cinco de Mayo. The PBCRbx reflects a flowering time of 60-63 days, so no more nutrients at this point. I'll continue to monitor Trichomes through next week (i.e., week 9 of flower). Once I see more amber (approximately 20-25%), I will begin a 2-3 day flush with straight RO water. At that point, she is ready to come down.
The last bucket change between week 7 and week 8 strictly followed GH's recommended dosage. That bucket change out brought an end to the ph swings she was beginning to experience. After the change out, the balance between water consumption, nutrient uptake, and ph is spot on. Specifically, while plant is up taking water, ph and ppm have maintained stability.
She's looking and smelling incredible. Man those ETHOS beans are the bomb. There is a learning curve with DWC - no lie - but I've enjoyed the experience. That said, and if I had dialed her in from the start, she would have produced even better. Gratitude and thanks to ETHOS!
Bro I’ll say this, it’s a good thing that Punchberry was stunted in the beginning because because it would be 4x the size of the others in the tent! Love the updates because Punchberry is one I’m looking at doing.
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, you know that's a great point. Gonna flip her to flower this weekend after changing out the bucket. Thanks for the solid, it's very much appreciated.
@GrapevineGrower2, that Punchberry is a “cookies” breed…so it’s gonna stretch my friend. I’ve spent the last 2 years growing nothing but cookies types in my grow space. All of them stretch a good bit. Just the fact that they have a 63 day flower time alone tells me they’re gonna stretch good that first 10 days or so
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, I plan to top her this weekend now that she has stabilized. I was just running her too hot, so the flush and dialing back on the ppm help tremendously.
I wish you the best of luck with your growing using the DWC systems! May your crops thrive and flourish, bringing you bountiful harvests and success in all your endeavors.
