Nothing of note other than maintaining environmental conditions and monitoring PH, PPM, and PPFD on a daily basis. I did notice both the TKO and PBCRbx were a little slow out the gate, so I began a once a day top feeding using a syringe to apply. I also increased ppm of feeding to between 750-800, which in a few days time I've notice an increase in growth, including roots without leaf tip burn. Noticed a drop in ppm the next day, which from my understanding suggests plant is intaking the nutrients (no lockout). Roots look nice and white. Scheduled reservoir change planned for this weekend.
@GrapevineGrower2, Nice! I've always found DWC fascinating, and I'm sure I will give it a go one day. I hear ya regarding the warm weather. I never grow in the summer as it just gets too hot here.
@love_2_grow, thank you ;) First time running hydroponic buckets and so far so good. Hope to have it harvested before it begins warming up around here.
Bro the size of the leaves on the dwc bucket doubled in size in one week (pic6 and pic7). Amazing recovery.
P.S. I know this isn’t the Punchberry diary but I couldn’t help but notice lol
@GrapevineGrower2, you know after this experiment of yours, you will not want to grow anything but DWC lol. I don’t have a crystal ball but I have a feeling your gonna see a large difference. Hopefully you see quality gains along with yield gains too. That would be amazing.
Hey mc, how much height space do you have total if you raise your lights all the way up? I have just a few thoughts I’d like to share but haven’t seen your whole setup…
@GrapevineGrower2, I always wondered how much room there really was in those smaller tents. I was gonna suggest don’t do anything at all to the Ethos until it recovers and goes 4 weeks of regular growth…but you don’t have that kinda time with the low height restriction. It’s been stunted bad and might not fully recover.
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, Hey HBG, thanks for touching bases. I have 24" remaining in a AC Infinity 2x4x5 tent at max light height. As you can tell from the updated pics, the TKO has completely filled in this week after a topping, defoliation, and LST. I was hoping there was enough time for the PBCRbx by Ethos to stablize, but the TKO cannot wait. Plan to move the PBCRbx over to a 3x3 where I can continue to care for the girl. Then in the 2x4 place a couple of Gelatos hybrids in 3 gal fabrics running in coco peat that are ready for flipping. Veg them out in the SCROG net over the next week or two before 12/12 flip. Plan to set the Spider Farmer SF-2000 12-15" above canopy and dial in the PPFDs (800 - 1000) during flowering with the dimmer switch. Thoughts?
