Water 90% RO with 10% well water 110PPM, PH 6.0-6.5, Autoflower, Fox Farm Ocean Forest, 20/4 schedule w/240LED 90% at 80CM, DLI 40. From my question that I asked on here, it looks like I have calcium deficiency. Day 30: Watered both plants with about 4 liters of water per plant so I had about 10-15% runoff. First time adding nutrients so based on advice from the forum here, I added 1/4 strength of Big Bloom and Grow Big, water PPM was at 380. To help with the calcium deficiency, I used more well water to bring the PPM up to about 180PPM and for next watering I plan on using cal/mag. Since the plants are in pre-flowering, I'm thinking to add Tiger Bloom next time I feed them. Day 33: Watered both plants with about 4 liters of water per plant so I had about 10-15% runoff. Added 3.75ml of Big Bloom, 2.5ml of Grow Big, 1.25ml of Tiger Bloom, and 1.25ml of CAL/MAG per 4 liters per plant with the PPM levels at 480. We'll see how they handle it and go from there, probably just go with plain water with no nutrients for the next watering, but we'll see in the next couple days how it works out. Day 34: Looks like the calcium deficiency is showing more, but I hope it will not continue now that I started with CAL/MAG. I'm monitoring now to see how they handle the nutrients.

Based on week 5 of my grow, does it sound like I'm on track with nutrients? Any advice on LST or defoliation? The plants struggled since I planted them so I wary of stressing them out. The only thing I'm doing at this point is tucking the leaves so the bud sites get more light.

Hey. Well some easy Grow,Bloom, micro would do you good. And make it easy for yourself. Biobizz and so on is good to keep it organic. Or if you want to keep it fully organic worm castings as a top dressing might do you good. You will need to get a cal/mag also. You have many options here. Biobizz calmag is good. Or cal powder from Green House Feeding + Epsom Salts will make a great choice for a calmag + sulphur. As for defol.. you shouldn't do any defol until you are out of the pre flower stage. Bud sites don't need light until they are in the fattening/ripening stage. As your plant is still in a process of growth in pre flower, (so its the leafs that being energy to to your bud sites, (not light direct on them). So steer clear of defol until you are out of pre flower that's generally 2-3 weeks once you see stigma (pistils, white hairs that come from your grow) If you need any more advice, feel free to DM during your grow. Good luck

Day 38: Flowering is really starting to pick up now. Watering both plants with about 4 liters of water per plant with 10-15% runoff. Added nutrients at 1/4 strength, 3.75ml of Big Bloom, 2.5ml of Grow Big, 1.25ml of Tiger Bloom, and 1/2 strength of 2.5 ml CAL/MAG with the PPM levels at about 470 per watering. I adjusted the light to 240W LED light at 60% power with 45cm distance from the canopy. As you can see the damage was already done by calcium deficiency but they keeping on with their growth and I'm still proud of the work I've done to get thus far. I think the Blueberry needs to be defoliated a bit but not sure if I should, don't want to introduce more stress. Based on the photos and information provided, I welcome constructive feedback. Thank you for following along. Happy growing everyone! Day 41: Performed some light defoliation, mainly removed some of the bottom leaves that were affected by the calcium deficiencies. The Blackberry Kush has stretched more so light can make it to the buds sites. The Blueberry on the other hand is very bushy and I believe needs more defoliation, I'm going to hold off and see how she responds to this defoliation. I'm open to any advice. Thank you!

Here we go, week 7! Day 44: I switched to Biobizz organic nutes and feeding them at the recommended strength of using the All Mix soil since it is pre-fertilzed. I've had a hard time get nutes right the entire grow I feel since I started with hot soil, lesson learned... I performed some light defoliation on both plants removing dead or damages leaves and some additional leaves to help air flow and bud light exposure, the Blueberry needed it the most... The Backberry Kush purple is really coming out on the flowers and leaves, very beautiful to look at. I'm learning more everyday. Happy Growing everyone! Day 48: I watered and feed today, I increased my nutrients to match BioBizz nutrient schedule light mix soil guide. No defoliation, I'm trying not to introduce any extra stress so hopefully they will concentrate on bud growth. We'll see what happens in the following days... Day 49: Post some photos to show the yellowing of the leaves, trying to get nutrient feeding schedule right. Any guidance/recommendations are most appreciated.

Week 8 - Here we go! Day 50: I've increased the nutrients on the last watering to see if helps with the yellowing of the leaves. Week 8 started today and I haven't watered and feed yet, I water each plant with 4l of RO water about 2 times a week. I basically wait until the pots feel light and then I water, wondering if I'm not watering enough. I've really appreciate the advice that I've been getting on here. I'll post updates throughout the week. Day 51: Started a new watering/feeding routine and will keep the diary updated with my new schedule. I owe this new routine to the great advice/guidance that I been given by @UnorthodoxDude, 🙏 Today I watered with nutrients and performed some light defoliation by removed dead/brown leaves and a few others to help with airflow, all on the Blueberry, the Blackberry Kush doesn't need it as much. The Blueberry is still actually stretching a bit and reached the same height of the Blackberry Kush. Day 53: Watered each plant with 2l of plain PH water. Day 54: No watering/feeding. I completed some LST on the Blueberry, basically tying down some of the branches so there is more space between the flowers, hopefully that will hep with the growth. You can really see the trichomes coming out on the Blueberry, check out the photos. I'm debating on removing a couple of large fan leaves on the Blackberry Kush that is completely blocking the flowers under them, not sure if I should or not as the main cola is really getting big and I don't want to interrupt the amazing growth. Happy Growing Everyone! Day 55. Lowered the light to get 50 DLI at the top of the main cola with a 20/4 schedule., I'm getting between 30 to 45 on the lower flowering sites. I feed them today and I updated the amount of nutes I'm using. I love looking at the purple colors of the Blackberry Kush, beautiful sight to see, the photos don't do justice. The Blueberry has tons of flowering sites and is very compact, the smell is very earthy, and the flowers are starting to see some decent gains in bulking up. I'm excited!!

Week 9 - Here we go! Day 57 - Watering with plain PHd water and removed some yellow leaves, mainly on Blueberry as she is unruly. Blueberry has tons of bud sites underneath the canopy which I'm sure it is taking energy away for the larger flowering sites that are getting more light. Performed some LST by tying the branches down and moving them farther away from each other when possible to help with light penetration. I will be performing some more defoliation, but since I'm new and don't have a lot of confidence I've been on the conservative side to hopefully not stunt growth. How much I would love to really perform some full bud based defoliation method on the Blueberry 😀 I'm still happy with the grow so far and I want to thank the community for helping me, I owe my progress to you! Thank you 🙏 Day 59 - Performed feeding and reduced the Bio-Grow to 3ml/L due to some leave tips turning brown a bit. I increased the PH to 6.4 and the next watering I'll increase to 6.5. I did notice that the Blackberry Kush has slowed down drinking water, the pot was heavier that usual and Blueberry is drinking as normal. It looks like the Blackberry Kush is maybe a couple weeks out from harvest. What you do you think based on the pictures? Day 61 - I watered both plants with PHd water and performed a bit of LST on the Blueberry to increase airflow around certain flower sites, she is really starting to get frosty. The Blueberry is continuing to drink as normal, 2l every 48 hours and the Blackberry Kush has slowed down to probably 1 liter every 48 hours, not sure of the cause of the slow down. With the light schedule of 20/4 and with the distance of my light I'm getting around 50 DLI on the main cola and anywhere between 30-45 on the lower flower sites, I would like to increase it but I don't want to run the risk of burning the main cola. I'll be posting some more photos soon. I want to continue to thank the community for all the support and I want to give an extra thanks to @UnorthodoxDude for the constant guidance. Day 62 - Today I just enjoyed their presence and rotated them so help with even flower light exposure. Happy Growing everyone!

Here we go! - Week 10 Day 65 - I will be watering the kids today 😀 and the last feeding I increased the CAL-MAG. The Blackberry Kush is maturing and the flowers are turning dark purple to almost black, a beautiful sight! I'm starting to wonder when I should start to flush. I'm going to see if I can post some loupe photos, but it is proving difficult, I'll see what I can do today. The Blueberry is really bulking up and getting frosty, from the looks it will be at least 3 more weeks or longer, we'll see. As always I want to thank the community for all the support, it has really helped me and I'm having fun getting to know all of you. Happy Growing everyone! Day 66 - Just added some photos for fun. No watering or feeding today. The Blackberry Kush has really slowed down on water intake, not sure if that is an issue or not. Blueberry continues to have some yellowing of the leaves, I'm hoping the slight increase in CAL/MAG will help. Day 68 - Watered and feed today. Since the Blackberry Kush hasn't been drinking as much I reduced the watering to about 1.8L and gave the Blueberry a 2.2L. The blueberry is drinking 1L a day, maybe a bit more. On the Blackberry Kush I'm thinking to start the flush next watering and potentially harvest towards the end of the week 11, it really depends on the trichomes, if they are around 20% amber then I know she is ready. Day 70 - Watering only today. I'm still debating on how to handle the Blackberry Kush harvest time, she has stopped growing and the majority of the pistils have turned brown. I'm thinking to only give her water now and no nutes until harvest. What do you guys think? Another week before she is ready? I'm looking for a good balance of head and body effects, but with the focus on pain relief and stress I want to be sure I harvest at the best time for that medicinal quality. Since this will be my first harvest any tips would be greatly appreciated! The Blueberry is still bulking up and the main cola is really starting to look impressive. I haven't been able to resolve the yellowing of the leaves, it looks like it is mainly on the old growth now and the newer ones have remained green.

Welcome to Week 11! Day 71 - Add some photos. I watered them yesterday with PH'd water and CAL/MAG, 1.25 ml/l as my water is soft, the PPPM was at 215. The Blackberry Kush has stopped all growth and at this point it seems it is just maturing and I'm waiting to start to see some amber trichomes. I checked this morning and I saw a few amber on a couple of the flower sites, but overall most trichomes are cloudy and milky with still some clear ones at the lower flower sites. Happy Growing to all! Day 72 - Watered and fed the Blueberry and just plain PH'd water for the Blackberry Kush. Day 74 - Watered both with plain PH'd water. Day 75 - The Blueberry is maturing nicely, the trichomes are cloudy and the flowers are still putting on weight. The Blackberry Kush trichomes are still cloudy with very little amber, to me it is strange that the trichomes are not changing yet with the plant looking so mature, as you can see the major fan leaves are completely yellow. To me she is ready for harvest but I don't want to make the mistake to harvest early as there are very little amber trichomes. I'm going to hold off until week 12 for harvest and see what happens. Day 76 - Well it looks like the Blueberry is starting to get amber trichomes, that came on fast, practically overnight... She actually has more amber than the Blackberry Kush which I figured she would be ready before. Now I'm not sure as the Blackberry Kush has been very slow at maturing and with the purple flowers it makes it harder to see if the trichomes are amber, actually some the trichomes look purple, definitely beautiful to see. I'm going to water both plants with plain PH'd water today. Happy Growing to all!

Hello Growing Community, Is the Blackberry Kush ready to harvest or should I wait until week 12? There are some random amber trichomes, but not at 20% yet, I'm looking for a relaxing effect. If so my plan would to let her sit in the dark for 1-2 days, then chop. Thank you!

Depends on what you want but if you want body relaxation you want to wait for more amber usually. Also, the 48 hours of darkness thing is a grower's myth, cannabis can only metabolize sugars into cannabinoids during photosynthesis. No light = no photosynthesis = no terp or thc production. Scientifically there is no proven benefit to 48 hours dark besides your tent maybe smelling more than before because they've been sitting in the dark for so long left alone lol.

Welcome to week 12! Day 79 - We are in the home stretch. I feed them yesterday and probably will go with plain PH'd water the rest of the grow. I'm thinking by week 13 it will be time to harvest, but I will be looking for 20% amber trichomes before I make that decision. The blueberry is doing great, really maturing and the buds are getting denser and the smell is strong. The blackberry kush as you can see most all leaves have turned yellow except the lower internal branches still have some green. I would have harvested her already but there were very little amber trichomes so I've being patient and waiting. Day 81 - Watered with plain PH'd water. More amber trichomes are coming out on the Blueberry top flowering sites and the Blackberry Kush the same. By the look of the plant you would think the Blackberry Kush ready for harvest but I'm monitoring the trichomes and waiting for more amber. Day 84 - Watered with plain PH'd water. See you on week 13!

Welcome to Week 13! Day 88 - I watered the Blueberry with plain PH'd water, she is really maturing now and the flowers are getting denser, plus the smell is extremely pungent. I'm giving her a few a few days to dry out and get some more amber trichomes before harvest. The Blackberry Kush I harvested yesterday and the entire plant is drying now in a small grow tent with the humidity of around 50% and temperature at 19C, I'm trying to get the humidity to around 60% to slow the drying process. I'll keep everyone updated on the harvest.

Welcome to week 14! Now since the blackberry kush is harvested it's time to focus on the Blueberry! She is exteremely strong smelling right now and when you open the tent it almost makes your eyes water how strong it is, very pungent with a slight sweet smell. This week I've been flushing and you can tell by the yellow fan leaves, right now I'm letting the soil dry out and will harvest in the next few days. My plan is dry the entire plant if I can keep the buds separated enough to prevent mold, if not I will cut each branch and hang individually. I'll keep the diary updated as this week progresses. Happy growing to all!

Overall I was happy with the grow, no fault of the plant itself it started off rough but I was able to get a handle on the nutrient regime. What I did learn is not to use hot soil with autoflowers, but to go with a light mix of sorts and then feel out the plant with a good nutrient regime. Another lesson learned is using RO water, it is great to have pure water and then add the minerals as needed, but you really need to know what you are doing as I had CAL/MAG deficiencies because of it. She produced some impressive buds that are drying now. The smell is extremely strong while drying, full of trichomes, sticky, very pungent with a slight fruit smell. I decided on the dry trim to help slow down the drying process. I ended up with 2.5 ounces of dry high quality bud, the airy buds I didn't weigh, but it probably would have been at least 3 ounces... Not bad 😄
