March 25, 2023: Day 30 Do-Si-Dos Cookies: Height: 8.5" DLI: 20.3 She is looking great! Still very small branches, but she is definitely enjoying life. Vigorous growth should start anytime now. Great color, leaves reaching a tiny bit. Overall satisfied with her so far. She doesn't seem to be a trainable plant. Her stem is stuff and her branches are almost non existent. Maybe a defoliation after the flowering stretch. We shall see. It's too early to tell what she will do. Gelat.OG: Height: 7.5" DLI: 19.5 She's also looking great! She is spreading her branches out as well as growing about a half inch to an inch a day. She seems to already be picking up speed in that aspect. Nice lush green leaves. Sturdy trunk and may be trainable. Her branches are shaping up to be nice and wide. Great for training. This week we will focus on growth. Neither of them will need watering anytime soon. Nor will I be training this week either. I may, however run nutrients with them this run. Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect. I haven't decided yet. I've also finally ordered a PH meter. I have another plant that may have a pH issue, but I doubt it. Never had an issue before, so it's probably something to do with light intensity for that one. Anyway, it's about time to have an important tool like that. TDS meter next. Grow System Environment: Temp: 71.8° RH: 54.4% VPD: 1.19 Update: I had to lower the light intensity for another plants I have in there, but it seems to be a good spot for these ones as well. Both are praying a bit looking ready to explode. March 26, 2023 Today, both ladies are spreading leaves out over stretching. Both of them have already started showing their sex. Females of course. Internodal spacing is getting pretty short as well for both of them. Gelat.OG is happily branching out pretty evenly. However, Do-Si-Dos Cookies is still keeping those branches really small. I topped off their reservoirs today. I'll do a reservoir cleaning when they dry it out and start a small nutrient feeding for both ladies on their next fill up. Advanced Nutrients Micro Grow Bloom PH Perfect. Just 25% of the recommended dosage. Then tiger bloom on week 2 of flower. Grow System Environment: Temp: 71.6° RH: 55.6% VPD: 1.15 kPa March 27, 2023 Gelat.OG is winning the race of branches. Do-Si-Dos Cookies is finally starting to grow her branches. However, oddly enough, they are both showing their sex at node 5? That's kinda early isn't it? I could have messed them up with that initial leggy start. Most likely the issue. Anyway, they are both looking good for now. I wonder how I'm going to help them grow faster. They are both 11 to 12 week strains I think. So there should be plenty more time to grow. They are each growing about an inch a day. Healthy leaves, healthy stalks. Gelat.OG still has the weird deformed leaves. Hmmmm. Mutation or user error? Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.7° RH: 55.4% VPD: 1.20 kPa March 28, 2023 Both ladies look amazing! Gelat.OG seems to be a little over watered still, but she's not bad. Still truckin along. Do-Si-Dos Cookies on the other hand is thriving! She is filling out nicely and is getting taller. Lots of potential with this one. Well, with both of them to be honest. The rest of the week will just be observation. Grow System Environment: Temp: 71.8° RH: 54.8% VPD: 1.18 kPa Update: Gelat.OG is definitely over watered. I emptied the reservoir and plan to let her catch up before filling it back up. Maybe a couple days? She's still more branchy so there's that. March 29, 2023 Excellent growth coming from both plants. Do-Si-Dos Cookies is getting larger and growing big fan leaves. Her branches are still pretty short, but overall looks super healthy. Gelat.OG is still drooping, but also still growing really nicely. Maybe another day for her to fully recover. She has really nice branching and her leaves are getting broad. Update: I lifted both ladies up today with some boxes. They are at week 4 and need to be closer to the light. They have a near perfect DLI of 28. I can already see a difference in their behavior. Both are starting to reach a tiny bit. So it seems to be the sweet spot. I'll have to see how she turns out tomorrow. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.8° RH: 53.2% VPD: 1.25 kPa March 30, 2023 Both ladies are looking great today. Do-Si-Dos Cookies is branching out quite nicely. She's loving her water supply and even drained it last night. Very happy girl. Gelat.OG as I expected, recovered just fine today. Still a little droop but nothing bad. She's still spreading those branches and starting to stretch a bit more. Looking good. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.1° RH: 52.6% VPD: 1.29 kPa March 31, 2023 So I'm ending this week with a couple questions. Why are Do-Si-Dos Cookies branches barely growing when she is already transitioning to flower? Why does Gelat.OG have drooping leaves still? Do-Si-Dos Cookies looks nice and super healthy. However, as said above, her branches are barely in existence. It's really weird and I'm a bit concerned. I wonder if it has to do with how leggy I let them get. The soil is fine, watering perfect, light intensity right on the money and environment is ideal. What do? Gelat.OG looks great as well with the exception of the drooping leaves. But even then, she's growing a wonderful stature and shape. Branches are still growing. She showed her sex a couple days ago, but no signs of pre-flower yet. It's right around the corner. Both ladies are at the point in their lives where they will need more water and maybe a nutrient uptick. Maybe. I don't see any roots on the bottom yet, so let's hope we see that very soon. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.9° RH: 50.7% VPD: 1.33 kPa Update: I decided to raise the light for more canopy coverage. To make up for it, I increased the intensity 10%. It worked like a charm. A much more even spread across both ladies without any sacrifice of DLI levels. In theory, this should help both ladies spread out a bit and maybe will even help Do-Si-Dos Cookies grow out her branches to more than little nubbins.

Am I being impatient? These seeds only partially germinated. They stopped day 1 in the paper towels. It's been 3 days and they have since been in plugs for 2 of those days. What did I do wrong? Any and all suggestions are welcome. Oh I used filtered water.

Tell me. You plants the taps right? Facing downwards. Even if there's a curl in them facing up. They'll still push themselves up. So, been you only partially germ it takes up to 3 days to get a tap and then you get a quick 24hr r so pop.. so, if you didn't have at least .5-1cm or more even taps then. Be patient.. if nothing has popped in 2 more days. You should crack them open. And see what's going on. If you see one pop the other should follow soon. So 5 days. 3 days germ and 24-48 hrs before a sprout might pop.. Good Luck.

I couldn't find any real answers on this one. How tall should an autoflower sprout be? My Gelat.OG Auto is 2 days old and over 5" tall. I know it's a light issue, but how tall should I expect to see? You know, a reference point of sorts. Thanks!

It's stretching due to a lack of light. Move it closer to the light source and it will be fine.

What is this nonsense? See pic. Where are her branches? Waaaaahhhhhht???? I let her get really leggy during the seedling stage for info. Everything else has been spot on. Watering, environment, DLI all on point. Please, someone enlighten me. Thanks!

Are these seriously roots trying to form on the main stem? Or is it some sort of disease. I hope not. This is a Do-Si-Dos Cookies strain. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Using Advanced Nutrients in Sohum living soil. Bottom feed system.

Nothing to worry about. It is normal for roots to be able to sprout from the stem because a cannabis stem can be put under soil to create more roots. You have very healthy looking plants so keep it up. Good luck with the rest of your grow

The spots and discoloration are an issue. I'm in living soil and this is a Gelat.OG autoflower. Everything is dialed in near perfectly. Just the spots. Would this be the start of senescence? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You absolutely do have senescence beginning. You can see that in the coloration/fade but also a calcium deficiency from the looks of it. She would definitely benefit from a little calcium with her next watering. Hope this helps 🙏

Should I take these dead leaves off? She only has about a week left. Or should I just leave them? She is fading very nicely, just want to know if they are beneficial anymore. Thanks!

Removing the dead or fully yellow leaves will force the plant to suck into greener leaves, which also means more sugar and a better smoke. It's just a few ones, it won't hurt them. The dead leaves can also bring mold if the humidity is too high but cutting them off, even is the stress is small, does injure the plant - so mold too. I think it's just a matter of feeling, preferences and grow conditions, some will tell you yes and other no.

No clue what this is. Light gray leaves, tons of trichomes. I'm a bit confused here. Should I just cut the buds that look like this to be safe? Or is this normal?

Oooooo pal. I just want through this. You're gonna have to crack all them buds.. and dead leafs you pull out that fall apart have been hit by rot/mold. Those dead leafs. They need be pult on finding them. Most cases this is a sign of bud rot, " leafs dying from the inside. Yes, on occasion at the end, or a badly lit leaf will wither and die. But, on a scale this bad. Maybe, if you get going now. You can save some of it. I'd harvest that ASAP. Any dead leafs need pulling. Crack the buds, pull apart, cut away.. You'll see if there's rot, slime, foul smell, you'll know it, the bud around the dead leafs, if it's still green, and can't be wiped off, (use gloves). And with a cutter start tearing apart your harvest. This is a few weeks of rot. This is why it really is crucial to check your buds, especially when dealing with high RH (if that is an issue) but the multiple dead leafs, they really need pulling regardless of environment

Looking well. I see there's a plant behind it. I also have plants at dif stages. I use a pot or crate to raise my plants that need to be closer to the light. Good Growing

@gottagrowsometime, That's right. I run a 4 plant perpetual harvest. 2 at a time. I use boxes to raise my ladies as well. Currently everything seems to be perfect, but I see you are a Grand Master and have won some awards. Congrats! Also, that's a whole lot of grows under your belt. Would you be willing to critique my diaries? I have another one for the other 2 ladies in the tent. Thanks for the comments and support!
