Welcome to my Grow Diary for Gelat.OG auto from Seedsman and Do-Si-Dos Cookies auto from 00 Seeds. This is part 2 of a Multi-Strain Perpetual Harvest. Part 1 has 2 vegging ladies. Skywalker OG Auto and Wedding Glue Auto. AC Infinity Advanced Grow System: 3x3x6 advanced grow tent 240 watt ionboard led grow light 4" inline fan. 2 6" oscillating fans. Controller 69 for complete automation. One camera to monitor. Germination System Kit: Located in bottom of dry tent under a box AC Infinity propagation kit. 10" dome 20w led grow light strips AC Infinity heat mat. AC Infinity hydrometer with probe. Root Riot Plugs. Dry Tent System: Mars Hydro 2x2x4.5 grow tent Mars Hydro 4" inline fan 4" Circular fan. AC Infinity 18" 4 tier drying rack 20x20 hanging rack. February 18, 2023 Our new ladies have just popped in their paper towels and will be planted in root riot plugs this evening. February 19, 2023 Ladies are getting ready to break surface in their plugs. Lights off for now. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 77.2° RH: 92% VPD: 0.25 kPa February 20, 2023 No one popped today. Well, the seeds popped a few days ago, but nothing out of the plugs yet. 🤔 Should this take that long? I'll keep an eye on them and see what happens over the next few days. Hopefully I'm just being impatient. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 78.1 RH: 89.2% VPD: 0.36 kPa February 21, 2023 I'm starting to get a little concerned with these 2. Both of them popped their shells, but seems to have stopped entirely a day into it. It's been 4 days since these ladies have popped shell and I haven't seen a single hint of growth. I think I'll pop 2 more seeds and hopefully they wont have any issues. I wonder what I did wrong this time. Germination System Environment: Temp: 76.9° RH: 71.8% VPD: 0.89 kPa Update: I decided to pop another seed of each strain today. In the water they go for 24 hours and then either paper towel or straight in the root riot plugs. Hopefully I have better luck this time around. Honestly, I haven't been growing for very long, but I haven't had any issues with this method. February 22, 2023 Round 2! Both ladies have sunk to the bottom of the glass. Instead of the paper towel method, I decided to pop them directly in the plugs this time. They are in the dark for the next 2 days. I have the heat mat up around 40%. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 72.6° RH: 88.2% VPD: 0.32 kPa February 23, 2023 Nothing to report today. The ladies are in plugs. Waiting to pop. That's it for today. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 72.0° (warmer in the plugs) RH: 85.6% VPD: 0.39 kPa February 24, 2023 So round 2 is just doing the thing under ground. 3 to 7 days or so. Still nothing from the first 2. I really don't know what is happening there. But I'm going to leave them be until the new ladies are ready to go in the tent. I don't like letting the roots out of the pellets or plugs. I feel that would shock autoflowers unnecessarily. So far it's worked really well. I also used coast of Maine seed starter soil for my last grow. That worked well. I did have trouble getting them out of the tray and the soil kind of fell apart on the bottom. But they came in strong. The plugs are supposed to work really well. And I think it's easier to work with them. Not to mention, I believe the seed starter soil is really meant for photoperiods. Anyway, that's about it. Updates tomorrow, maybe a picture or 2. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 75° RH: 75% SPROUTS!___________________________ February 25, 2023 Day 1 Both of the new ladies popped last night. Finally. I can now inspect the first set of seeds that didn't make it. I am going to have to contact both of those companies and request replacements. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 74.5° RH: 97% February 26, 2023 Both ladies look fantastic! They have nice long stems and great coloring. Gelat.OG is a bit leggy though. Not much else to say today. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 77° RH: 93% February 27, 2023 Both ladies are growing super fast. I may have to plant them in their final containers sooner than the 5 days I was hoping for. Gelat.OG is already 5" tall and 2 days old. Leggy for an autoflower? The taller she can get comfortably, the better. As I said before I need stretch so I can work under the plants later on. As for environment, my dome is 10" tall with an extension. I started out with the extension on, then that stretch happened and she started to fall over. So I took the extension out yesterday after noon and replaced it for the night with the light off. It worked perfectly. She is now standing straight up again. Definitely need a better seedling light strip. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 74.8° RH: 80% Seedling Height Question: I'd like to clarify that the RH was reading 99% not 39% I have since then opened a couple of the vents to bring it down. Also, thanks for the answers so far, but the focus is how tall should I expect an average seedling to be. My light doesn't have enough power, I know this. It'll be replaced before next grow. So the environment is 75° and about 79% RH. I hope this helps clarify. Thanks again! February 28, 2023 Both ladies seemed to have slowed down in that super stretch. So business as usual. I still have 4 days before I can put them in the tent. So that may be an issue. The way these two are growing, they will have completely filled the plug. I prefer to not have roots showing. Better transplant for Autoflowers in my opinion. We shall see. Do-Si-Dos Cookies is shorter and more upright. She looks better, but Gelat.OG looks great, just a little tipsy. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 77° RH: 76.6% VPD: 0.74 kPa March 1, 2023 Now that both ladies have finished their over extended stretching, it's time for them to start leaf production. They will most likely be put in the tent in 3 days. Hopefully that isn't too long for the roots. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 75.4° RH: 88% March 2, 2023 Gelat.OG fell over this morning. I braced her with a wooden skewer and a loosely wrapped twist tie. Do-Si-Dos Cookies worried me so I propped her up as well. Both ladies were then planted in their final pots and added to the grow tent. DLI is 16.0 for both. Intensity is 260 ppfd. This should certainly help. I have them under a couple of Starbucks cups as domes. This should all fix their stretching issues. March 3, 2023 I took some measurements this morning with the lower tent environment. RH is 61%. Temp is a little low, but the environment is good enough to remove the domes and let these ladies breathe in the fresh air. And there is always air movement in the tent, so they should be good on every angle. Of course, DLI hasn't changed at all. So that means no more extra stretch. I've also been slowly watering their containers to get to the preferred moisture level throughout the grow. Generally it takes a week to bring it up to around 53% moisture level. I find that to be perfect for my setup and so far every plant I've grown with it. I could be wrong, but I really don't know any better. Lol On a better note, Do-Si-Dos Cookies doesn't seem to be falling over at all, so the propping wasn't completely necessary. Gelat.OG, on the other hand, will need her prop for a bit. I expect her to bounce back quickly. She is still super healthy looking in her leaves. She'll be nice and sturdy in a couple of days. On another note, Do-Si-Dos Cookies is already starting on her first set of fan leaves. Her single leaves aren't even done yet. Gelat.OG is just a bit behind. Mostly due to falling over I think. Seedling Grow Environment: Temp: 72° RH: 61% VPD: 1.04 kPa

Am I being impatient? These seeds only partially germinated. They stopped day 1 in the paper towels. It's been 3 days and they have since been in plugs for 2 of those days. What did I do wrong? Any and all suggestions are welcome. Oh I used filtered water.

Tell me. You plants the taps right? Facing downwards. Even if there's a curl in them facing up. They'll still push themselves up. So, been you only partially germ it takes up to 3 days to get a tap and then you get a quick 24hr r so pop.. so, if you didn't have at least .5-1cm or more even taps then. Be patient.. if nothing has popped in 2 more days. You should crack them open. And see what's going on. If you see one pop the other should follow soon. So 5 days. 3 days germ and 24-48 hrs before a sprout might pop.. Good Luck.

I couldn't find any real answers on this one. How tall should an autoflower sprout be? My Gelat.OG Auto is 2 days old and over 5" tall. I know it's a light issue, but how tall should I expect to see? You know, a reference point of sorts. Thanks!

It's stretching due to a lack of light. Move it closer to the light source and it will be fine.

What is this nonsense? See pic. Where are her branches? Waaaaahhhhhht???? I let her get really leggy during the seedling stage for info. Everything else has been spot on. Watering, environment, DLI all on point. Please, someone enlighten me. Thanks!

Are these seriously roots trying to form on the main stem? Or is it some sort of disease. I hope not. This is a Do-Si-Dos Cookies strain. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Using Advanced Nutrients in Sohum living soil. Bottom feed system.

Nothing to worry about. It is normal for roots to be able to sprout from the stem because a cannabis stem can be put under soil to create more roots. You have very healthy looking plants so keep it up. Good luck with the rest of your grow

The spots and discoloration are an issue. I'm in living soil and this is a Gelat.OG autoflower. Everything is dialed in near perfectly. Just the spots. Would this be the start of senescence? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You absolutely do have senescence beginning. You can see that in the coloration/fade but also a calcium deficiency from the looks of it. She would definitely benefit from a little calcium with her next watering. Hope this helps 🙏

Should I take these dead leaves off? She only has about a week left. Or should I just leave them? She is fading very nicely, just want to know if they are beneficial anymore. Thanks!

Removing the dead or fully yellow leaves will force the plant to suck into greener leaves, which also means more sugar and a better smoke. It's just a few ones, it won't hurt them. The dead leaves can also bring mold if the humidity is too high but cutting them off, even is the stress is small, does injure the plant - so mold too. I think it's just a matter of feeling, preferences and grow conditions, some will tell you yes and other no.

No clue what this is. Light gray leaves, tons of trichomes. I'm a bit confused here. Should I just cut the buds that look like this to be safe? Or is this normal?

Oooooo pal. I just want through this. You're gonna have to crack all them buds.. and dead leafs you pull out that fall apart have been hit by rot/mold. Those dead leafs. They need be pult on finding them. Most cases this is a sign of bud rot, " leafs dying from the inside. Yes, on occasion at the end, or a badly lit leaf will wither and die. But, on a scale this bad. Maybe, if you get going now. You can save some of it. I'd harvest that ASAP. Any dead leafs need pulling. Crack the buds, pull apart, cut away.. You'll see if there's rot, slime, foul smell, you'll know it, the bud around the dead leafs, if it's still green, and can't be wiped off, (use gloves). And with a cutter start tearing apart your harvest. This is a few weeks of rot. This is why it really is crucial to check your buds, especially when dealing with high RH (if that is an issue) but the multiple dead leafs, they really need pulling regardless of environment

Looking well. I see there's a plant behind it. I also have plants at dif stages. I use a pot or crate to raise my plants that need to be closer to the light. Good Growing

@gottagrowsometime, That's right. I run a 4 plant perpetual harvest. 2 at a time. I use boxes to raise my ladies as well. Currently everything seems to be perfect, but I see you are a Grand Master and have won some awards. Congrats! Also, that's a whole lot of grows under your belt. Would you be willing to critique my diaries? I have another one for the other 2 ladies in the tent. Thanks for the comments and support!
