Both strains are growing pretty similarly at this point. I did a very light bend of the plant and they were started towards the side of the pot so it would be over the airpot when leaned over. I moved the light a bit further away to have them stretch a bit to make early LST done easier so I won’t have to touch them too much for the rest of the grow. I mainly want to let the plant do it’s thing after training it slightly. D25 I took off the LST pins out of the soil and let them grow normally for 2 days and on D27 I pushed them down slightly again from the top area, gently.

Week 5: started to see some curling of the leaves so I asked a question about what may be causing this. I don’t believe I have hot zones. It cannot be nitrogen toxicity as I barely fed them enough as it is. I could see it being a lack of nitrogen or perhaps I wasn’t watering enough. I tried this grow to not let the pots dry out completely bone dry before watering again but I also did not water as much as I normally would have anyway. I feel like the most recent pictures of day38 have shown some recovery after a hearty watering with some CalMag and magnesium. I did perform defoliation on day 32 so I believe that may have given a bit of shock to the girls which may have also helped but I feel like the answers to the question really didn’t speak of what was going on in this particular case.

Up until week 5 everything has been going smoothly but at day 31 I can see some leaves starting to curl and claw. This is 2 days after minor defoliation. I’m not sure what could be causing it, I turned the fan down a bit so it shouldn’t be airflow but maybe too little nitrogen?

Lighter leaves and slight turning darker on older largest fan leaves. Not sure if I need some CalMag because I have mainly used only natural organic material that may not have that available

I do see what you're saying here but it looks like an old deficiency my friend. One that she is currently recovering from. I say keep doing whatever you're doing. If you notice new burn or more drastic clawing and actual cork screwing of leaves, dark coloration etc then start backing off on feed. But I think she's doing great. Hope this helps.

Strawberry nuggets is starting to show more signs of some deficiency, so I added some early flower micronutrients and a double dose of CalMag. Hoping it stops it in its tracks or I’m going to start to get a bit worried about it. Strange thing is the el Chemi Kiwi has the same exact nutrient schedule.

Calcium or Manganese deficiency? Last week had what I thought was early calcium deficiency. Gave it a dose of CalMag but now not sure if it’s still Calcium or possibly Manganese. I do mean manganese but I realize it could be a CalMag or Manganese deficiency as well.

The nutrient deficiency is back so I gave it another double dose of CalMag to see if that can stop it in its tracks but I am not positive if that is the specific problem. Added micronutrients mix as well to see if maybe that helps. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You did well, those are signs of Calcium and Magnesium deficiency. I think you just have t wait a bit now.

I have been dealing with a nutrient deficiency so added nutrients. It looked ok but then got a bit worse and I took some runoff readings which were 5.4 and then 5.0 the next week after adding lime to raise soil PH. How can I best raise the soil Ph being that I added lime already.

That kind of lime is VERY slow acting. If you want to raise the pH, you need to use the industry standard which is General Hydroponics pH-UP... forget the fact that you've added the lime - just ignore it and focus only on the readings you're getting - you shouldn't care HOW the soil pH reads 5.0 - you should only care that the readings go up. If you water with Spring Water or, honestly, most tap water, the pH of that is usually 7.0+ so just doing that alone should raise the pH of your soil but that won't happen quickly... To raise the pH of the soil QUICKLY, you'll need to flush your plant. 3x the pot volume of pH'd water through her so for you that means running 9 gallons of pH'd water through each pot you want to correct. Check the pH of the runoff and if, after 8 gallons, if it still is not where you want it to be, keep going... keep going until the runoff pH is ok. Then give one last gallon and in that last gallon, add in 1/2 strength nutes and a dose of calmag because she'll be starving and will need something to munch on. Once she's dried out thoroughly, you can give her a drink of plain pH'd water again and then, when dry from that, you can resume your nutes at the strength you'd been giving them. Make sure, though, that they're not heavy on nitrogen as this will cause another lockout of other nutrients that are essential for flowering. One thing I'm sure you're aware of but will say anyway - even when you have corrected deficiencies such as your calcium deficiency, the leaves that had been damaged are NOT going to get better... the only way you'll know that you've fixed the problem is if there are no further signs on other leaves of the deficiency... Good luck...

Had a major issue with low substrate PH. I did not check runoff for a few weeks and when I did it was around 5.0-5.2. Spent weeks 5 and 6 adding gardening lime and a few flushes of PH up water which was around 7.7PH until runoff started getting near 6.0 on week 5 and then watering with PH 7.0 water until it reached 6.5. Plants showed a major issue on most leaves of PH problems where it was unable to update nutrients causing yellowing of lower leaves. Looks to have caused stunting and some development issues but has recovered just in time to stack some trichomes.

Ph issues resolved end of Week 10 with multiple applications of lime and 2 flushes with PHd water at 7.5 Just waiting to chop the El Chemi Kiwi at this point which is very close and most likely can be chopped right now. My drying tent is currently in use as I wait the weather to turn around so I can harden them off and plant in the back yard. The strawberry nuggets is likely 1.5 weeks away at least but it is really fattening up more than the chemkiwi.

Day 98 for the Strawberry Nuggets but I need to chop it tonight so this will be it. It looks like it could use a few more days but I am going on Vacation and it is either now or in 7 days and I would prefer to not have it go too far.
