20230415 - Day 36: I noticed some minor light burn on some of the fan leaves this morning, likely because I let the light get a little too close as she's been growing over the past week. I readjusted the light height and will continue to monitor it more closely.
20230416 - Day 37: A little more light LST before nights out to try to flatten her top out a bit more. I can't quite decide when I want to flip her. Based on some of the pre-flowers showing, I know she's ready, but if I can get her to spread just a bit more I'll have a bigger canopy to work with for yield. Decisions... Decisions...

20230418 - Day 39: I have decided that I am happy with how she's looking this week and plan on switching her over to flowering.
20230419 - Day 40: After taking a careful look at my calendar I determined I needed to start flowering now to ensure I have time to harvest and cure prior to a scheduled vacation this summer. While the best laid plans often go awry I think this gives me the best shot of success. Plus the timing should coincide with when my auto-flowering plants will need to be harvested. Here's to hoping this is the right call. I also defoliated a few of the lower fan leaves that were beginning to fade.
20230420 - Day 41: First day after the switch and all seems well. Water
20230421 - Day 42: She was definitely a bit dehydrated yesterday, as can be seen by comparing the pictures above.
Entering week 5 of flowering on this photoperiod and she's experiencing wide-spread yellowing in leaves over past week. Haven't been monitoring pH or PPM, but am assuming this is nitrogen deficiency due to nutrient lockout. Can anyone confirm or recommend treatment beyond flush
When you go into bloom you dont cut you grow nutes out, you just tune it down some. A little nitrogen is still needed to maintain leaf health. Start out when first going into bloom with half bloom half veg nutes. Decrease the grow each feed after that. Around the 5th week mark is when you should be at no more grow and straight bloom and boosters.
Hi PawsGrow, I'm growing Herbies OG Kush. See my diary for progress. I'm in 3rd week of flower. Ocean is definitely too hot. I bought the frog but haven't use it yet because I'm still on my first grow too. Also when you start fertilizing, cut back on your nutes to 1/2 or less. Growers have indicated that I'm using too much by following the bottle directions.
@Natrona, Thanks for the information and advice! I'll check out your grow to see how things have gone for you so far and will keep an eye on how the flowering progresses. Hopefully topping with the Happy Frog will keep mine happy when they're young and will offer some buffer before they hit the Ocean.
@PawsGrow, it’s been a difficult plant to grow for me. Lots of leaf spotting, like calcium deficiency, but cal mag didn’t seem to help. Otherwise I would consider the buds pretty good, but I’ve had better. I’m getting ready to post more pics. I’m thinking 10 more days.
@Dexterado, Thanks for letting me know! Checked out your grow diary and she's looking pretty good right now to me, with my limited experience. Are you happy with the size of buds your plant managed to grow as you near the end?
@Drgreen13, Thank you kindly! I was trying to use what I had lying around and the dowels, electrical wiring and safety pins are proving to be quite versatile.
