Going into the third week of flower and she's still stretching like crazy. She looks very healthy and her leaves have been praying up towards the light. Pistils are getting longer and buds are starting to form.
I've had to move the light up quite a few times and it seems I can't go any higher! I may be able to squeeze a few inches by moving the carbon filer and fan up a bit more. I really hope they don't stretch anymore, but I'm sure I've got another few weeks of this π.
The dehumidifier has been working okay. Messing around with my Controller 69 and I've managed to get around 78-81f during the day with the dehumidifier on by increasing the speed of the extraction fan. The RH during the day is around 45-55 and at night it can reach up to 65%. This is acceptable assuming it stays this way during the rest of flower. Its not ideal, especially since the dehumidifier blows out hot air towards the back left of the tent but it will have to do. I don't want budrot and if I have to raise the temps by 10 or so degrees I'll do it. If temps and RH rise over the course of the next 6 weeks or so I'll have to consider lowering light intensity which I definitely do not want to be forced to do. What I would give for a proper lung room.
I'm really kicking myself in the butt for not defoliating more. This girl is getting large and there is just a giant mass of fan leaf in the center of the canopy. As you can see, light cannot easily penetrate down into plant due to how many fan leaves there are at the top as well. Tucking them only makes the center of the plant have less light and air. I am worried about mold and high humidity and I would love to just commit to a giant haircut if not for the possibility of causing a deficiency.
Some of the lower leaves are dying off. I hope I'm not getting the dreaded K deficiency like I had last grow. I've been on top of feeding this time (and I'm in 10 gallon pots) so I'm not too worried though. Speaking of feeding, I'll probably be feeding her and the Chemdog D early next week with 20 or so tbsp of Craft Blend and a compost tea.
These girls are really big, maybe the biggest plants I've grown in this tent. I think a contributing factor is probably the 10 gallon pot size. If this grow ends just as well as its going I'm definitely sticking with the bigger 10 gallons from now on.
See you next week!
Good luck with the grow, looking awesome so far.
I'm just growing the same strain at the moment. I'll follow along for sure , can't wait to see how they turn out.
Amazing diary!
I'm growing this strain and i'm loving it so far, what a smell.
You've done an amazing jog with the ScrOG and controling the height!
Congrats!
@Gold1, definitely out of this world, I can only describe as Sweet Orange Cake.π Me too, I have some beans left but I will keep them until i got a mother tent, it's a keeper for sure!
Thank you! I hope too π I will look forward to see your next grow!πͺ
@NAS_Garden, Thank you so much for the kind words! The smell really is out of this world, right? Definitely a keeper in retrospect and I regret not cloning her. Still got a few beans left though :D.
Good luck with your girl, hope you crush it friend πͺπ
I have seen a few good lemon orange grows thus far and it has me thrilled. Just finally got 10 Lemon Orange seeds after trying to buy them for almost a year with no success. Good shit man!
