Will have to come back after curation is done.
At this point we have already trimmed but still curing.
She smells really similar to other “Cookie” strains, like Girls Scout, that fruity, sweet, citrusy smell, but we will see how that develops as she cures.
Due to trimming we also have the dry weight already, GC #3 ended up netting us 158.7 grams of beautifully dense and consistently sparkly buds.
Baam grow number 2 is out the way!
Learned a lot of lessons from grow 1 to grow 2, and it doesnt let me down.
The Gorilla Cookies grew in the same tent as my Wedding Cheesecake from FastBuds, super happy with their seeds and germination rates.
During the grow I applied a lot of stress as I mainline my plants, and these girls handled it just okey, but not the best.
They both were clearly more picky in how the climate was, and oddly one of them showed mutations early on and eventually in the end went full hermie on me after flipping to flower.
As flower continued and I kept pushing the remaining Gorilla Cookie, she also started growing some nanners at the very very end as a last ditch attempt to pollinate.
So that tells me that the strain is a bit more prone to things like that when under stress.
However not everyone pushes their plants as hard as I do, so I don’t think most will see these issues.
The remaining girl also matured a bit quicker than the other strain in the tent.
She also had her sugar leaves yellow quick early, before changing into more of.a purple, absolutely loved the vibrancy of the colours.
So even though she was a bit cranky during the grow, as long as she was attended too, she was happy and seems to have produced some real A+ buds!
Hey man, congrats for the harvest! I'm growing this strain too, week 4 flowering done. In my opinion is slower than I though, and I saw also your flowering stage was 9+ weeks (breeder says: 7 weeks flowering)
@DBQush, I guessed so, I'm using the same.
It's a good base for planning your own schedule.
Doing a bit of experiment and was wondering maybe adding my other ir/fr to the veg tent to see if I can get some stretching action going on..
Will be monitoring your diary closely, keep up the good work!
@Yebis42, I am basing it on the DLI per week that DeBacco University recommends in his video about DLI in relation to yields.
But it seems to match up with the same numbers that for example “Photone” recommends, as I also use their iOS app for the readings.
But ofc I just use these as a guideline and try and look at how the girls respond to each gradual increase as those numbers are if everything else is perfect.
I actually just backed down the lights again to 290ppfd as I was seeing some other issues and by lowering the light it should give them a easier time recovering.

@DeepWaterGrower, thanks man! Yeah when they say 7 weeks, I don’t think they take the first “transition” week into account, and then call it done as soon as the harvest window opens.
But at least for me it make sense to push them for another week or two too get as much good shit as possible!
Either way I’m super happy the end result as this badboy really kicks your ass when smoking haha
@gaby_kicks, haha a 7/10 on my 2nd grow I will consider a compliment, so thanks man!
I do personally think the Wedding cheesecakes in the same grow turned out a bit bitter, but even with the Gorilla Cookies, super frosty and consistently dense buds in both the top and bottom off the canopy, leaves me quite happy.
Also helps that she netted just shy of 160g dry and smokes like a beauty!
Maybe one day you will start a diary here and show “how it’s done”, but until then, keep on keeping on haha
