Dear diary,
Week 6 has come and gone. They have shown resilience and are progressing steadily despite the slight variation in their development.
🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
⏰ Day 39:
In the evening, I provided a feeding session with a nutrient strength of 1.61ms and a pH level of 5.9.
⏰ Day 40:
Administered a feeding with a nutrient strength of 1.57ms and adjusted the pH to 6.2.
⏰ Day 41:
During the evening feeding session the plants received a nutrient solution with a strength of 1.57ms and a pH level of 6.0.
Additionally, I rotated the pots slightly to introduce some variation and encourage even development.
⏰ Day 42:
I provided the plants with a feeding containing a nutrient strength of 1.57ms and a pH level of 5.9.
Despite the earlier topping, the plants have recovered well. However, I decided to allow the eight main tops to grow out a bit further before the final topping, aiming for a total of 16 tops per plant.
⏰ Day 43:
During the evening feeding session, I adjusted the nutrient strength to 1.64ms and maintained the pH at 6.2. As they are giving off a lot of runoff, I reduced the feeding amount to 1 liter per plant instead of the usual 1.5 liters.
⏰ Day 44:
Administered a feeding with a nutrient solution of 1.64ms and adjusted the pH to 6.4.
⏰ Day 45:
During the evening feeding session, I provided the plants with a nutrient solution at a strength of 1.64ms and adjusted the pH to 6.1.
Additionally, I implemented some low-stress training (LST) to spread out the eight main tops and ensure even canopy development.
I am noticing that the relative humidity (RH) had risen slightly, approaching 70% due to local weather conditions. To maintain an optimal environment for the plants, I turned on a dehumidifier to bring the RH back to around 60%.
I'm excited to see how the plants will respond to the LST and look forward to the next phase of topping as they continue to flourish.
@DBQush, I guessed so, I'm using the same.
It's a good base for planning your own schedule.
Doing a bit of experiment and was wondering maybe adding my other ir/fr to the veg tent to see if I can get some stretching action going on..
Will be monitoring your diary closely, keep up the good work!
@Yebis42, I am basing it on the DLI per week that DeBacco University recommends in his video about DLI in relation to yields.
But it seems to match up with the same numbers that for example “Photone” recommends, as I also use their iOS app for the readings.
But ofc I just use these as a guideline and try and look at how the girls respond to each gradual increase as those numbers are if everything else is perfect.
I actually just backed down the lights again to 290ppfd as I was seeing some other issues and by lowering the light it should give them a easier time recovering.
Hey man, congrats for the harvest! I'm growing this strain too, week 4 flowering done. In my opinion is slower than I though, and I saw also your flowering stage was 9+ weeks (breeder says: 7 weeks flowering)
@DeepWaterGrower, thanks man! Yeah when they say 7 weeks, I don’t think they take the first “transition” week into account, and then call it done as soon as the harvest window opens.
But at least for me it make sense to push them for another week or two too get as much good shit as possible!
Either way I’m super happy the end result as this badboy really kicks your ass when smoking haha
@gaby_kicks, haha a 7/10 on my 2nd grow I will consider a compliment, so thanks man!
I do personally think the Wedding cheesecakes in the same grow turned out a bit bitter, but even with the Gorilla Cookies, super frosty and consistently dense buds in both the top and bottom off the canopy, leaves me quite happy.
Also helps that she netted just shy of 160g dry and smokes like a beauty!
Maybe one day you will start a diary here and show “how it’s done”, but until then, keep on keeping on haha
