Hi anyone who is going to join me for this run of Zamnesia seeds strains. I am fortunate to be trying theirnnew strains in Candy Rain and a leafly strain cup winner in their Jealousy. I went with the Bruce Banner#3 as I have tried other seed companies versions of this headbanger so thought it would be good to see what the magi can do over at #Zamnesia seeds.
I am very pleased with the success and speed of the seed Germination and now at 7 days and showing their 1st sets of true leaves poking out. The burst dof energy from all 4 seeds once they took root was shocking. I had to pot them up as soon as they had rooted before they became poles !!!. I planted to near their cotyledon leaves but even now they have gained more height again. I will be putting them under the light in the next day or so so I can start planning their training . I am going to go with quad lst I think as I do line the open structures for bud growth that it can provide. I am not too limited for height but I know the lights would struggle to penetrate to the bottoms of a 5ft plant . I prefer a decent level canopy to exploit all the available light-bid growth I can. I hope you can join me for thisnrun and any comments questions will be gladly engaged. Be lucky growmies.
Due to a stair fall a few months back which did a lot more damage than I had thought , this week has been pretty hands off and letting the girls do their thing. Also trying to clear a raging ear infection ( with way too many antibiotics to function , and trying to also shed the dreaded flu illness that is at us again in the UK , it has not been an easy week.lol. Thankfully the lack of watering for a few day's did nothing to hardy ladies. All of the girls are now on their second set of real leaves so hopefully we can begin to consider their lst . Health willing , the next post should be more productive e. Be Lucky .
Sadly the flu i thought I had was actually the onset of pneumonia which I could not fight and led to an emergency hospital stay for the past 5 days. Thankfully i am now home and able to update a little on the girls. I am so happy that they coped with my absence and sadly I acan see how not being able to up pot 2 of them has stinted their progress a little. As I am now on the mend with lots of antibiotics helping me fight , I should be able to turn them back to vigor. I did not forsee this health issue at all but am not about to leave these ladies to wilt away.lol.
onward and upward growmies. Be lucky.
Hi Growmies.
A good week for the girls this week with plenty of growth now starting to happen. I was worried about the #2 jealousy as she did seem to be lacking something but was too young to mess about with her feed. The Candy Rain was looking similar toonwith an obvious dislike of something in the soil mix. I have begun feeding them with my all time favourite nute , Mega crop. The vibrant green that this non salt based nute helps develop is an excellent conductor for photosynthesis. It has rested so many of my plants over time and bever fails to give them a really healthy appearance. I have seen the recovery with both if the smaller ladies andndont doubt they will catch up with their peers. The Bruce Banner#3 is really going for it with growth and had already pushed 6 nodes out. I have now Fimmed her at her 5th node and plan to quad the lower 4th and 3rd nodes in their l.s.t. I am close to being able to do the same with the Jealousy #1 to. Hopefully by the next update , they will all be underway for their planned growing pattern. I hope your all keeping it nice and green. Stay healthy and free , do not consent or comply. until the next update......
Hi Growmies.
I hope we are all well and in the green?. Even though still a little quiet on here at the moment , I hope my video can help someone to try training their plants and watch the results as we progress. It may seem long but I did all 4 girls and wanted to show the hardiness of these amazing species of plants. They have all really settled in over the past week and the reporting did not slow them down too much bit seems. seeing how much the Brice banner had ballonwd along with the Jealousy #1 was an unexpected surprise. Both ladies have enough nodes to really get to work with now . they didn't bat an eyelid at the topping and just of the new growing shoots. The "pop and twist" with thumb and forefinger is a great way of keeping the branches where you ideally want them to stay. it will help create a nodule that will be both string and very good as a distribution point for the uptaken nutes from the soil. The limbs will thicken too and help create the shape that I need before flipping to flowering. The two smaller girls have come back with a brilliant green cour thanks to the mega crop and its magical powers. lol
Both are wnow close to their host training points and hopefully will have caught up by the next diary entry. I want to get their tips to the pots edges before that point so that I can create the upward spikes of the chosen flowering limbs. keeping the lower sprouting growth on each limb will.allow all the energy to go into creating hopeful merristems. We want them all to think they are the main stem to get an even boost of available nutrition without feeding lower potential popcorn growth which can be an issue with l.e.d and penetration. The idea is to create a canopy of main buds if we can fool the plant enough. fingers crossed and I hope you can join me on this journey.
Week 5 it is then. I had hoped on a 4 week veg period as I have been so used to autoflowers that this has become my normal. I had also forgot how much I enjoy training the ladies to work better with the l.e.d coverage and limitations of my grow room height. The HST is goi g really well with the Bruce responding with so.e nice fattening limbs and great potential mainstays. The idea is to fool the plant into thinking that each growing tip is the main-stem ( merristem) This will ensure an even distribution of all the available resources. As they progress towards flowering flip , i am trying to get each tip to the pots edge. This will allow me to tie them down to the edges and when the stretch period begins , they will grow vertically to create a ring of main buds. This allows airflow around each bud, which lessens the risk of mould and also allows lots of available light to reach the whole lengths. I did snap one limb of rhe Bruce bit it was the f.i.m so it won't be a huge loss of it doesn't repair in Time.
The candy rain is doing a great job of catching up now with only 4 tips to train and plenty of light, I am hoping she catches up this week to be flipped to flower.
Both of the Jealousy girls are really healthy and happy. again they are being trained fairly aggressive and are handling all I am throwing at them with twists and bends.
No issues with anything so far so fingers crossed that I can flip them next update and begin the real fun of seeing the training pay off. Be safe and well Growmies.
UPDATE 11/5/23
I flipped the lights to 12/12 today so will update in a weeks time on the 1st weeks stretch. Lost the snapped main I repaired on jealousy #1 but no issue as she has plenty of potential mains
Hi all
What a great week it has been for the Zammi girls this week. I flipped them to flowering two days after my last entry. They had reached a good point for my space to make sure that I have the airflow and light coverage to endure the mains could all benefit. The results of the H.s.t/Quad training has been successful and I now have multi merristems ( mains) of equal position . This will now hopefully feed them all the benefits that the main usually gets and ensure lots of chunky colas with very little popcorn to waste energy on.
Bruce Banner #3 is performing brilliantly. I did lose the snapped and repaired f.i.m but the crown of mains ( 8) and the single one left in the middle will be a great foundation for the next stage of their life. This lady has not missed a beat from the Germination and is showing the breeding experience that has produced it too. No signs of any issues at all so far.
Candy Rain although a lot smaller than her cousins from Zammi is beginning to catch up very nicely with 4 very chunky looking mains forming. The last next week of stretch should give her a very nice shape and structural strength for some fat colas too. Her colour and vigour is excellent and the rips are putting out so e very nice energy too.
Jealousy #1 is really enjoying the chance to push as many of her branches to light as possible with the opening up of her natural growing structure. Plenty of in-fighti g to be the main stem which is a benefit and her overall size and appearance is excellent. #2 has really been a shock with the size of some of her fan leaves ( see pic) She has a few huge I es that will be grabbing so many lumens to convert that I will be sad to defoliate them . She is really fighting to impress over her sister it seems and her overall size is just a little smaller than #1. They have plenty of lower stem growth with fairly short node lengths that will form up to make some very long thick colas hopefully.
Seeing how well these girls have filled the space and the nice even canopy that is still uniform after a weeks stretch , I think I will need to defoliate at day 21 of flowering to make sure they don't get too close together and stop the cool fresh air from circulating through them all. We are just warming up in the UK so I thinkni will need to also keep check on room temps and humidity more now too. Hope the video is useful to someone out there and I hope you can continue to follow along as we go. Be safe and well.
Hi Growmies. Another week done at day 24 flowering. They seem to have finished their stretch period and all have the 1st flush of dress flowering pistils at their growing tips. I am now feeding at a flowering strength feed with additional shogun additives too. I am very pleased with their progress and final foundation foe the flowering stage. The height is a very reasonable 18 inches to the canopy top which has levelled out very well so far. I did have to do a little bending and twisting as they settled into the shapes but it has been very easy to work with them so far .
Bruce Banner#3 has really put put some growth among the branches and will really need to be defoliated to make sure that the air can get around this big lady and avoid any risks of "dead air" or warm pockets. She has a great frame to build her buds onto and some nice thick stems to support the possible chunks. The node spacing is a medium to long but hopefully they will join up where they can over the next 7-8 weeks.
Candy Rain. Her quad training has been productive and I didn't need to really do too much beside hold the two higher branches back a little. she should be a nice open branched , baseball batted cola beast at her final week..
Jealousy #1 and #2 have really been busy with their flower sets and have so much growth going off beneath those huge leafed frames. The leaf sizes are brilliant for harvesting all the available light during veg and i will be sad to defoliate them both at day 21 F. They are so productive that a good lollipopping mat also be called for with the lower growth not really getting enough light to be worth the energy sharing. I can see how these ladies would be huge in an outdoor grow bit also in a bigger indoor space too.
I am sonimoress2d with the health and vigour of all of these ladies but seeing how well the #2 Jealousy has caught up and surpassed her sisters has been a shocker. she has some very big fan leaves and nice chunky stems to hold them expected colas too. Fingers crossed for another good week. Be safe and healthy growmies.
#SADLY THE RUBBISH MESSAGING APP WILL NOT LET ME REPLY TO ANYTHING AGAIN!!!!!!!
SITE ADMIN NEED TO FIX THIS A.S.A.P.
Hi all , it has been a steady week for the Zammi girls and I have only had to remove a few lower bits of popcorn amd a few leaves in each lady to allow airflow and a little more light through the canopy.
I am only feeding megacrop now as it is mineral based and helps with the final crops taste and cure without worrying about the taste from salt based nutes.
Bruce Banner is really showing some nice buds forming and should fulfill the long cola hopes too.
Candy Rain is less productive on the smaller branch side of things but the mains that are forming look like they will be thick and long and not clusters which is always my hope with new strains. The less waste on final yield is the goal.
Jealousy #1is still looking very happy and like the other ladies , is forming some potential spikes. #2 is keeping pace with her sister for height bit a bit less productive on the amount of colas.
I did notice some.odd spots on the Candy rains leaves but thankfully a spill earlier in the week was the culprit as it caught the leaves a little.
All in all these @Zamnesiaseeds are performing excellently so far with not one issue from seed to this point and i have really put them through their paces in the training period. They have not shown any stress signs at all and didn't even slow down growth. . Until next time , be lucky growmies.
### Updated pics and corrected diary now. Mon 5th June 2023. Hope it helps.
Hi all.
I am very pleased with this week's growth and results
The Bruce Banner #3 is stacking her nodes perfectly now and has a very wide footprint too. lots of bud sites and mains to add flowers too. Even the shaded lower growth is bursting with new pistils.
Candy Rain has 3 very happy mains with lower branching that has bud clusters at the tops . Her open growth pattern will be good to allow the air through amd also the light that dribbles through from the main canopy. She is beginning to put out a slight fruity apple scent now too. The main stems.should form up together nicely too I hope.
Both of the Jealousy ladies are very productive with bud clusters and growth all over their huge frames. They ate really good sized girls amd in an open space with lots of light , I could see a huge yield from this strain. I am impressed at how much potential bud is on them under a single shared 450w l.e.d !!!
I am at full 14.6g/10L on the megacrop feeds now and adding 5ml of pk warrior too and they are loving it. I am tucking and shuffling leaves around to keep the ladies lower flowers within the range of light. I was pleasantly surprised by the Bruce banners lower growth so will be mindful of the moisture build up now. Until next week. be lucky
Hi all
A great week for flower production this week.
Temps have been on the high side but within a copable range for growing these ladies.
Bruce Banner continues to show the many bud sites getting fatter and her mains are forming together well too. She is a smaller overall height to the other strains so I have boosted her a little higher to get the best light positioning for her. She has a lot of secondary growth that looks promising too. No issues with any deficiencies or leaf colours
Candy rain is still catching up with her node distancing but with at least 4 weeks left , there is time.
Jealousy #1 and #2 are fattening up nicely on their long thick stems and look amazing already. They have not skipped a beat the entire grow so far.
I am more than happy with progress so far and can see a potentially beautiful harvest of summer fruit strains to sit amd ponder in the sunshine with. There are signs on a couple of buds that they are starting to mature the initial pistil sets with a nice golden appearance. Not to a point of being close at all bit will lead to a pistil flush which should help them to start packing weight on for the final leg. So there it is for this week's update. all good and smelling so sweet in the room now. Until.next time. Be healthy and well
Hi Growbuddies.
We are now into week 7 of this flowering period and all going well so far besides this diary app keeps resetting my update !!!. 3rd attempt here to upload
Hi all.
Well a great week for the girls again this week with plenty of new pistils flushing and the smells and frosting starting to really begin. This next two weeks should be all about swelling out and bursting new pistil sets as they mature the building frost to a perfect milky white , ready for harvest. They are all at least 9-10 week flowering strains according to the breeders information but the Candy Rain is looking very close to finishing with nearly all of her hairs going orange now. I will be warching her closely this coming week and will use my microscope to really get a better look into her ripening.
The Bruce Banner #3 is also looking very mature and starting to frost up nicely close to the buds , I do think she will easily go for at least 9 weeks possibly 10 based on her size comparison to the other plants bud sets. She is smelling so sweet now too with some real tackiness when handled.
Both of the jealousy girls are really packing the weight on to their already chunky colas. They are only just showing some older pistil die off while putting out plenty of fresh ones to add to the flowering buds sizes. They really mean to catch any available pollen passing !!! Their mains are all very impressive and by far the leading producers in this grow. I think a 10 week finish is on the cards for these ladies so can only imagine their size at that point in 3 weeks Time at harvest.
I have stopped feeding their usual feed and now moved them all on to the Dragon Force. I have used this wrongly in the past couple of grows , thankfully without causing and issue and only by overfeeding. I have reduced the Megacrop to 6g amd will stop that the next feed tomorrow. I have been using the Dragon force for 3 days so far and plan to use it for a total of 10 days. I will then feed a low strength megacrop until the last few days of the grow .
I have always had good results when using the Dragon force and feel that it does help boost them well alongside their other products too. Let's see how using it as intended goes with just the megacrop initially.
We have aromas from the sweet skittles bag of the candy rain , the diesel , fruit punch of the Bruce, right up to the citrus sweet fruit bowl of the jealousy ladies. Time to consider the filters now !!
Be well Growmies
Hi Growmies
Here we are close to the finish , these girls have been a pleasure to grow with a minimum of effort and input since setting them in their final pots. A little l.s.t and H.s.t initially to try to get a good footprint for the lights to be best used. This is my main plan since going to l.e.d lighting as the penetration is not deep enough to allow them to grow too naturally in my limited space too. I am more than happy with the main canopy amd to still get a good amount of chunky mains with 6 plants to the single Viparspectra fitting is pushing it a bit.lol
The Bruce Banner #3 has continued to fatten her lower buds this week so will add nicely to her overall yield when I chop her next week. I think she jad at least a week in her to go from looking at her trichromes with the scope. she still has plenty of clear ones around with only a few turning opaque.
Candy rain is very close to coming down now. She has been maturing all week with her pistils all nearly orange now and no more fresh ones being put out at all. Her trichromes are milky when looking yesterday and she has been on a water feed only for the past 4 days. she is taking less water now too so I think its her time !.
Both of the Jealousy girls are still pushing fresh and spikey new trichromes out while they continue to swell. The #1 is definitely more productive in her flowering and has a way lower bud-leaf ratio than her sister too. She is a big beast of a llant and would be humongous if scrogged out or grown outside in a good natural sunshine grow.( never happen in the UK sadly!).
I have given them the last feed of the Dragon force today but will still give them a mild feeding until their last few days. I am confident that they will benefit from this as the nutes I use are mineral based and in conjunction with the supersoil mix , don't need flushing necessarily. I do this to signal "NO MORE FOOD " and encourage them to start using their fan leaf stores before their chop.
All in all a great week and only the best stages to go now ( except trim-jail sentence at harvest!).
Hi all
Yet another great week for these Zamnesia wonders.
I have been watching the Candy rain closely and decided she had enough amber trichromes to finish her work. She was a simple trim with not too much leaf to contend with.(more to follow with her harvest report in a day or so when dried !).
The Bruce Banner#3 was taken out of the growroom and trimmed 2 days ago and has produced a great result ( more to follow with the harvest report !)
This leaves the 2 beautiful and chunky Jealousy ladies to enjoy all those extra lumens for the next few days at least. I will be re checking them daily to see how their trichromes are fairing. They are creating a few huge calyx's on their tips that could foxtail if i let them go too long.
Overall they have been a pleasure to work with and train out . The smells coming off them all are so summertime and the 7g of samples.from the Candy rain have really hit home on the potency and taste of tangy apple and a sweet exhale is so pleasant with no harshness. I expect them to be finished drying in the next days or so but their yield is not the best for size. ( my fault not the genetics!)
I would happily recommend all three of these strains as great growers with a simple input for great returns too. With more space and time , they would fly for yield too....
This strain has been a very easy grow to do. I did mess about with a little training during initial veg but snapped one of the planned 4 mains. She recovered well from that amd still produced a fair yield for her size and ge ethics. Her node lengths gths between bud sites was fairly wide amd her growing pattern was very Sativa in form. I would imagine an outside grow would suit her well with plenty of natural sunlight and space.
I have really enjoyed growing this Lady , she responded really well to heavy hst and a lot of pulling around in her veg period. She didn't falter at all and took all of the feeds and input with no slowing down at all. I did keep her a little too short in training which meant I had to lift her up during flowering to keep her in the best light bit she would have easily matched the other strains in height. Alongside gg#4 on my favourite lists and a definite recommendation from me as a grow.
83g of top tacky bud is a nice return. Thanks to Patricia @zamnesiaseeds for the opportunity to try this great classsic....
I have really enjoyed growing this strain. it has performed brilliantly and given up 6oz of top quality ,summer buddage. It responded really well to training and never slowed down the growth rate during the L.s.t or training period. With no restrictions to the plants, i think rhey would be huge on finishing. I am very happy with the quality and yield of this winner strain from Zamnesia. A real pleasure to put energy into.
Thanks to Patricia for making this grow possible and being an all round great supporter of the growers here.
