These were grown indoors under an HLG650R for 163 days in 1L containers then I moved under an HLG65 and grew them all the way to 289 days in 1L containers and then put them under the HLG650R for 4 days but it was warming up so I put them outside and there now 42 1/2 weeks old. These were originally medical clones that were sometimes used for the movement of the digestive tract for people, they were good for music and the edibles were to high pressure for the arteries so I don't really recommend them because there sharp and they don't finish outside very well here but you can harvest them in late October with white pistils and the scissor hash is super strong as in exactly the same as indoor but it often gets to cold in late October and the quality doesn't look very good in comparison to indoor. Im probably only going to show them veg outdoors for educational purposes. What I thought previous to this when I grew it outdoors, I thought that May was to wet and there wasn't many nice sunny days, it wasn't until the middle of June that I transplanted them into 45 gallon geopots and they were very large by the end of July and I noticed a second set of pistils on August 29th and by Sept 12th I thought they were flowering and by October 1st they had a flower shape though small and I noticed there was a small mold issue but only on one of the smaller buds on October 19th and then it snowed but what had dried didn't visually look that great and I never used it even though the hash was quite strong and it was very likely that I would grow it again outdoors because they were harvested on the first snowfall.
In a greenhouse setting it could be a very large producer of hash as a cold climate crop without light deprivation but outdoors I wasn't sure because the first frost can be sooner then when I harvested these. If you had a hoophouse or a greenhouse but couldn't afford a light dep option or any lights and had 1000 plants, it would be alot of material for tumbling or making bubble and it would all be cloudy, its a really difficult condition because your limited on how many lbs are available in a market.
Why wouldn't I grow a Pinewarp or Texada Timewarp outdoors instead that finishes in September, thats the awkward question because the sunlight was filtered through the forest fire smoke and there wasn't alot of it and October wasn't alot either, they probably made it to day 50+ Flower on a strain that takes 56-70 days. The THC content in the hash wasn't effected by the intensity of the sunlight enough or there wasn't any difference at all.
Another thing I was thinking was that the reason why the indoor was better was because they needed hydroponic supply purchases to feed the additional slack and the purchasing power of the indoor hydroponic industry was alot better than the outdoor soil industry. There was kind of a limit on what I thought could see being possible as you'll definitely see the reduction in canopy space, I couldn't say it was music to my ears.
One of the issues I run into while growing in my climate is that in May I get rainy, cold and cloudy weather for extended periods of time making it make sense to grow in a greenhouse with lights or postpone the season, I can veg them out until August in larger containers but if you want them larger faster you needed to bring them indoors. Thats an area where you would need more plants if you wanted to get the same result as you would keeping them indoors in May.
Another issue that I find is that you get a clone it has a thc percentage of 22-25% but if you buy seeds they may only be 15% at the most so all of sudden the seed industry is put on hold but if you make concentrates it isn't weak and some strains don't get good reviews. There is a tendency for people to find interest in stronger substances, im tired and ive got the munchies and ive eaten double the calories that is the reality.
I was thinking they were growing kind of slow outdoors, they say cloudy weather is the same as a 1000w bulb or 500-600w+ LED light but those give 12-18 hours of light per day. The weather is going to drop into the low 60's and that is when growing outdoors isn't really ideal at this time of the year. People usually securely ask for clones, you don't find them, these are not being giving away freely so if your looking for plants you usually need to order them with someone. I don't think these are necessarily outside and usually you need to ask and id prefer keeping mine that way. If you were looking for a strain that has 40% THC you would probably need to find someone that really holds onto it and this one doesn't and im still holding onto it. What id like to do here is start seeds and put them outside, get clones and put more clones outside aswell, its really silly to think that they aren't filling up a greenhouse or using the garden space, they really aren't able to grow large quantities for free that is a fact. Im thinking the sun is great for vegging. The labor involved to grow beyond a few plants really large is alot less than a parttime job but its something that requires a financial investment and takes a significant amount of time out of your day...It isn't anything beyond that mentally, they don't do it because its so difficult. There needs to be a place where you can sign up and take your finished buds and they test them and they either offer you credits that you can spend anywhere in the world, no bad connections. I couldn't imagine any species after the Permian period treating cannabis like this, im kind of feeling slightly happy but slightly unhappy. I know it sounds rougher after a certain age but they think about the same things. I bought something 3000 miles away and im 3000 miles away.
Day 15 Veg I brought them back inside and put them under an HLG 650R with a heater because it was only 14c outside and that is to cold for these plants. I think that you can spend more money or less money on your outdoor plants it doesn't matter what you do with them but I think they looked to cold. It would take alot more effort with larger containers but I can still do that even if there in 4-5 gallons. and its going to be cloudy rainy cold for a few days.
- So it did get sunny but its only 12c outside so they could of been cold and stuck outside but the cost of using the indoor lights is low enough that you can do that, its a little extra money to keep it at 79-80f.
- The statement that we spent a little extra money multiplied by millions is alot of extra money, I like the open spaces but there isn't alot of extra money.
- If you spend money to set up a solar system and run your lights with solar all of a sudden your moving your income into another career path supporting someone else while taking the grid out of the equation but your still keeping the hydroponic industry afloat if your making purchases.
- In a number of years they'll need more battery power and the grid might not be in the equation and you'll be forced to grow outdoors, sometimes they need to shut down the power for an area for a couple of hours to run the entire grid because there batteries need to charge.
- I was able to purchase a co2 tank but I wasn't able to purchase additional watts because the grid was already to stressed by the car industry making HPS an extinct species of Dinosaur.
- As far as LED lights are priced they can get very expensive or you can spend less on a 480w board than some of the 600w+ fixtures, but you can run the HLG 260R specs or ViparSpectras and replace alot of lighting for reasonable prices. It can get very expensive to stop using HPS and AC if you purchase the more expensive priced LED fixtures and that means you can spend alot on Mars Hydro if your buying 480w instead of other brands.
- If you add a dozen homes anywhere in a location all of a sudden a few of the HPS bulbs don't work anymore.
-->The major thing that was insane was that co2 tanks weigh 50lbs full for a 20lb tank and 140lbs full for a 50lb tank so anything but HPS and fresh air is going to consume a huge amount of tanks in a year, so the led lights are really more driven for hot weather, there was a point and then there wasn't a point because you couldn't consume a huge amount of cannabis that was co2 grown. I don't use a co2 tank in the winter or exhaust or intake any fresh air under an HLG650R and they still veg big in 4 weeks, so the only option is those mushroom bags otherwise your spending on tanks. Put the tank back its gas under pressure, its hard to argue about it. Those tanks are like rockets, they store them strapped down there not rolling around.
- Never transport a filled CO2 cylinder in a passenger vehicle. Cylinders should never be transported in an enclosed vehicle unless the driver is separated from the cargo by a gas tight barrier.
- The first thing is you need the tanks delivered and they need to be put in a safe storage area, the second thing is that they may ask what are they for, are they for welding "no there not". The greenhouse industry uses industrial size co2 tanks and they get them filled, this happens and it is a huge amount of work.
Day 18 Veg - They look kind of sick and they haven't grown at all and its been warm and yesterday I was having issues drinking my water and this has been ongoing. It might be the snowpack melt or something else. I ran about two gallons of water through them and the runoff was 0.6-0.8 ec and 0.4 ec and that shouldn't be an issue for growing, theres something going on that I can't figure out. They didn't look like they grew on the first gallon of freshwater yesterday, they looked sick today and the second gallon the runoff wasn't high enough.
This part of gardening I don't like and its a difficult subject and I don't like making it a fact but it is. On Day 21 I transplanted them into 10 gallon and the larger plants were rooted somewhat enough to transplant but the smaller ones that hurt the most needed alot more growth in the 1 gallon but they looked completely clawed and burnt and not a good green color, and I rewatered with the 2ml/ab procal mix after transplant, it was the freshwater from the winter mixed with 50% of the water after the snow melt because the 5ml/ab procal mix was to strong so I dumped half of it. These should be growing with no issues at all. 5ml/ab procal usually is good for plants after they get large. I thought they looked really bad with the clawing and green color with a yellow leaf on the larger plant like they needed nutrients but were burning from the fresh but the runoff ec wasn't high enough.
Another important fact that I thought about was that if you wanted to do a light deprivation greenhouse you always had to be there at 7pm or 8pm to cover them and you always needed to uncover them at night or in the morning. You needed to cover and uncover them for 42 days on a 60+ day strain or it reverts back to veg at some point, August 1st is 15+ hours of daylight but September 1st is 13+ hours and thats when they flower producing small flowers instead of large sized colas and there always going to be a comment "this looks to leafy and id rather see it grown differently". Your spending money on greenhouses and light deprivation tarps instead of stressing the grid because you don't drive a Hydrogen car. Its a huge amount of additional work to make it look good at the part where its green (because you don't like what I look like, because you like what look like...) and not concentrated because that's where it didn't really matter.
They start researching other substances and testing them because there not from the Permian, Triassic, or Jurassic period. I keep thinking its an interesting looking plant that takes alot of work to do a slightly helpful but unnecessary experience at most of the time because it was mainly for sitting around and being tired, you can use it in public and stare at things, its always been an average experience unless this was part of the experience as in I was many years younger and this was what I was experiencing and im like woa what the...no way no absolutely not that was to high that was many years in minutes.
Another thing I wanted to touch on was that alot of people thought that this was enough to **** her and do the family thing with maybe a job or two in there and that worked at the time for a period of time and some people were able to open really large or small greenhouse facilities and do it properly. It was alot of additional work if you look at how difficult it is to get into the food industry successfully without failing at it as in its obvious these people aren't taking jobs as welders or anything thats kind of dirty. People don't drive 12 hrs a day every single day, they don't do that. It is something that people do, it isn't a little task. Things did get kind of bad after they decided it is a weak enough substance that they wanted to deal with industry and shipping and feed more people, as in I couldn't get involved in making alot money thats where these strains sit. You can buy plastic pots and soil and keep reusing those items and not have any issues with ordering from foreign countries, you gotta go through big hoops to do anything with industry, the fertilizer plant sells fertilizer and they make nutrients and thats as far as the average consumer goes. When the consumer pulls out of the grid and goes into the greenhouse, thats a huge thing to do. If I have 100,000 homes and they consume 2000 Kilowatt hours on average per month each and I have 210,000 Megawatt hours of electricity to use in my batteries in every month from my sub station that I built, that means I have an additional 10,000 Megawatt hours that I have stored but I use 5,000 Megawatt hours to grow your plants which is 5,000,000 Kilowatt hours but its only 50 Kilowatt hours per home and that isn't enough. A 1 Megawatt power plant produces 8760 Megawatt hours in a year at max operational capacity so that means its a 287 Megawatt power plant that powers the 100,000 homes. To get more technological its a Fusion plant because were smart. I can't recalculate that without thinking about it, it needs 291 Megawatt hours per hour produced to keep up with the demand for the 100,000 homes or I need to shut down a section of it to keep the power on.
Day 24 Veg there growing again normal with the leaves pointing straight up in the sunlight, they have all of May, June, July and August to veg but i'll probably need to move them into larger containers because of the heat or water alot in 10 gallons, I filled 45 gallon geopots up with 30 gallons+ of coco one year and I had to water every single day alternating fresh and nutrients and they needed 60 gallons of water for 4 plants, the weather was that hot, we get spikes into the 40c+ range with 36c being a hot day. It doesn't cool down until after 10pm its way to hot of weather for anything. In some areas its to dry to use alot of water in your garden so they need to grow indoors with hydroponics, its a necessity for water conservation.
All of it is only saying don't put co2 tanks in your trunk because they'll go through the trunk into the car, its actually a problem with these new led lights. In order to exhaust in cold weather you need double the BTU's if the space is fit for the lights or there not exhausting at all. Propane burners, I have no idea if there safe. I think HPS is safer than propane, I think its clinically a disease. I can't see a huge reason to regard HPS as a dangerous application, I think they were safe enough that they were used in the greenhouse industry for a very long time and replacing them is a gas delivery if there yielding more at 800ppm+ compared to sealing up and not exchanging any air.
There growing healthy again, the smaller plants are slow to start but theres months of growth for them. I do think that they need larger containers outside because of the watering frequency. 15 gallons is better but 20-45 gallons is recommended but 30+ gallons for sure if there in fabric pots because they dry out to fast in the heat and need lots of fresh and nutrient mixed water. Organics is more expensive but im really just reusing coco because I think coco is a product that can be reused for a very long time before it needs to be replaced and therefore hydroponics is the winner based on the renewability of coco fibre and ease of use. I think it can be challenging to source some of the materials to build an organic soil if there used in a large enough quantity. I like using hydroponic fertilizers but adding only fresh water is something ive thought worked better outdoors because you need a reservoir with alot of nutrients premixed or some sort of injection system with a tank and that requires a little bit more intelligence to setup.
As far as the cost of buying seeds is concerned you can make 13,000+ seeds per lb harvested so at 1lb in a 4x4 tent you would need atleast 1300 packs of seeds if they are 10 per pack but it could be as low as only 520 packs at only 25 per pack. You would need 769 tents or lights to make enough seed for a million people if they each received 10 per pack and 1300x70 is 91,000 or 69,979,000 for a million people. Im saying it takes alot of money to do anything with these plants other than sitting there looking and doing nothing important. Some of these seed plants are really slow to start, clones are always going to be a viable option for people, If you paid 10 a clone thats 1000 that they can make from 100 clones that can be taken in an hour or two. Im thinking a 50% success rate on seeds out of 10 and more than a few days to germinate into a sprout and another 3-4 weeks, thats really slow.
What I really wanna say about this strain is that if you want to look like her then eat this plant, it is not a toy. You can do a similar thing with Pyrex that you can do in the kitchen with some of the bubble hash if your planning on talking to your doctor about it, but the main thing was it was to high pressure to do that and thats where I decided it wasn't meant to be eaten. There are substances you would take orally to release serotonin and dopamine at higher levels instead of eating this plant. Im not saying they need silicone injections to eat them im only saying that if you eat them once a week for a year or two your gonna need medical help, its not only the inflation but how it effects the brain. Your High Pressure Aeroponics system is running to high of pressure for your valves.
The reason why the seed industry is so lucrative is because if they have the male plants and females plants of the strain in a facility to breed into the seed stock, they possess the most stable line of the variety that there selling so if you buy them and breed them your possibly going to see an unstable line of seed stock with alot of variety and they also grow alot more plants to select phenotypes to breed. I think the cloning industry is the where it mostly was harder to access because they selected it specifically from all of the others and thats where chemistry classes replaced the seed industry. The Triceratops and the Ankylosaurus have a conversation about sharing and apparently they aren't sharing as many leaves.
If I purchase a clone only strain there may be a 0.001% drop rate of finding something like that it in a pack of seeds if you were being really selective, I think 0.0001% is to low to find anything. If it says 25-28% THC and it only has 20% THC in the pack of seeds thats not really a huge issue, thats more like being ridiculous. If it was only 5-11% THC and they bred it up to 20%+ THC and made seeds, thats another story it isn't easy. If your specifically trying to improve these plants you need hundreds to thousands of seed plants and you need to clone or reveg the ones that you like after flowering them and testing them before making seed stock. F1 stock can be 70% germination rate and only 4 or 5 good plants and only 2 females, you need to buy hundreds of seeds to look through them or millions of people need to look through the seed stock.
Its almost Week 5 Veg but there hasn't been alot of growth because its been rainy and colder weather so they don't grow alot at those temperatures but as far as the light par readings for this weather you can see only 200+ µmol m-2 s-1 in really rainy and cloudy conditions but on a sunny and cloudy day you can expect there to be 450+ µmol m-2 s-1 when its getting cloudy but expect to see 600+ µmol m-2 s-1 and as high as 1000-1600-1700+ µmol m-2 s-1 (with a phone light censor) but in the shade it is as low 40+ so these plants should definitely be grown in sunny conditions but I may only see 2-4-5 hours of direct sunlight, you definitely would want a growing area that has the most direct sun per day but it isn't necessary, im not sure if 6 hours is always possible and I don't know if 12 hours of HID or LED lights is doing anything for the plants other than making it less leafy but im not sure what percentage of complaints you get for 1/10000 or 1/1000, the trichomes are probably the same. If your not vaporizing your cannabis your impacting your health, some people might smoke because they think its dirtier and thats why they choose that method as in its all personal opinions. The really confusing part about these plants is that at 5:45pm there only getting 40-75-100-140 µmol m-2 s-1 and thats kind of where I classified gardening as being not that kind of hobby, your not a farmer you don't make it better for these plants, there not performing like that because I need to pluck the fan leaves at some point as they veg because theres to many leaves and it doesn't matter at the trichomes. If you use 9-10 hours of electricity your probably using more than what you need but I don't know how 12 hours effects yield compared to 6 hours and if the lights are kept on for only 6 hours and they get 18 hours of darkness, I don't know these things. At higher µmol m-2 s-1 they might need less hours of light while the hps and led lights might need 9-12 hours, you would need to run it side by side to see what the difference is.
Its been really cloudy and rainy so there hasn't been any noticeable growth and currently its only around 140 µmol m-2 s-1 with the phone light censor while an indoor light would read 400-600+ µmol m-2 s-1. I mostly think its hard to keep clones going for a few years without thinking there needs to be a seed stock, they either make seeds or they keep them in a facility or all of it is textbooks as in its not realistic to grow these for long term. If you find them in a pack of seeds but mostly when your not there anymore they don't exist they go extinct. If you store seeds in a fridge they'll last for awhile but you gotta employ someone or make a hobby of it to remake them and thats where it isn't being grown out to extent that it could be.
Its confusing because its Super Skunk X Afghani X Big Skunk Korean X Afghan Hawaiian strains crossed with Sensi Star that is crossed with a Afghani X OG Kush cross..thats alot of confusion. Its confusing if theres few plants and one tests higher THC but I think the other one that tests lower is better, how do you cross breed these plants when the result is I can't say if one is better than the other based on a solution. Smoking isn't that great and vaporizers there not really flavorful so im not really sure other than by how it performs in flower but if you have two identical plants you would need to check if your going to keep one for clones.
note: not that I don't like supercropping but it does work but so does a net, this strain does have the tendency to break a branch on a crimp and that is exactly what it did and failed to work on one of the woody stems and it was one of the smaller plants so it looks like one of the smallest plants of the group but thats ok because I don't need an extra branch and thats also the issue here with the commercial growing properties now, they don't need the extra branches so supercropping visually works but doesn't look good. Normally I don't want any of them be to supercropped or the smaller ones but for testing purposes they did break. They may still do this to get larger plants for taking clones but for flowering purposes id avoid it if you can use a net but for electricity saving costs supercropping allows you to put more plants under a light while vegging instead of using a net. The feelings are negative while supercropping.
- two broken branches and two broken small stem nodes and thats a pretty high number of branches to break when supercropping but it does that sometimes. It takes a couple weeks to see a major change from doing that but it works.
- Make that three broken branches another one died today, its not rocket science.
They recover very fast from super cropping and thats usually why its used but sometimes if you feed them 5ml/gal ab and 5ml/gal procal when you super crop to far down the branch it can cause them to burn and need to be flushed so its usually a good idea to feed them fresh water after or only supercrop a few inches down the branch and preferably softer branch material because the woody branches can snap completely. They veg faster and stretch more in geopots, smart pots etc. with bigger leaves and less woody stems in veg but they dry out alot faster and require more watering and thats where you need to look at your feeding regime and figure out if the nutrients are to strong.
I added a net on the larger plants because I want them to grow shorter in a scrog shape but I honestly feel that the net doesn't look very good outdoors in comparison to letting them grow freely. The only other option is to continue super cropping. Usually the nets are added before flowering starts but there usually using cages outdoors. With 2 additional months of veg I think they need to be started later in greater numbers or flowered in a light dep sooner because they need to be scrogged and trellised or you need to use huge cages and that is how these plants grow. If theres full sun all day long and there started later and are short and compact but theres alot of them its easier than climbing because they get really tall if there grown to full size. 4 weeks from a clone thats well rooted in a small container with full sun and lots of farmland thats enough work, 8 weeks full sun your looking at bigger plants, 12 weeks there probably getting to tall. 8 weeks from a sprout might be a good size plant to flower depending on the seed stock, 12 weeks from sprout is good. Cloning is a negative 4 weeks because of the rooting time and how long they take to establish themselves while sprouts are also negative 4 weeks or longer and the amount of time it takes is usually longer than a clone to start.
- I put 3 of the larger plants each under there own net and 3 of the smaller plants I put under only 1 net but I broke a main branch on one of the smaller plants doing that.
- For the best experience growing these visually don't use a net and use hemp string to support them or those twist tie rolls. I honestly don't like how the net looks and you could say the same thing about the fences that they use in the outdoor facilities for farming purposes.
- My vision is fantastic and then you add the nets and im thinking not good. It works for shaping them and supporting the branches but thats the only thing it does.
- I am growing these under the nets but I don't want to
I think if you started germinating seeds in early May and it took 5 or 6 weeks at the least to veg them you could light dep them in a greenhouse or start them in a timeframe that they veg in June and July and start flowering in August but I don't think its always an easier idea to start them earlier than April and veg them indoors until May 1st because of how large they get but that does mean that your not purchasing hundreds of seeds and like I said before it takes thousands of 4x4's and 5x5's to supply a 10 pack of seeds here and there to millions of people. Some climates are really great and May weather is warm enough but it isn't so id say June and July making about up around 8 weeks is the biggest size plant that anyone would work with on a large scale. Your vegging ability is determined by how rainy the warmer months are, it isn't always going to be the greatest veg point. Your working with starting them under heatmats and growing them under the Sunlight instead of the indoor lights because of the amount of energy that is required to do something not as important on hundreds of hectares point. Its kind of looking like I gotta drive to the farm to work, thats a little bit of a different scenario than what we've seen in the past with these plants, they serve a purpose somewhat. Its definitely a district issue because they need to supply the field work but its an allergen plant that can't be worked on always in the heat making it kind of difficult to say that its a few people managing the drip irrigation and not alot of people so there is a feeling of conflict with these plants because a few people acquire alot of wealth while the rest are impoverished. Its a very sad plant if you look at it from that perspective. If it was 120 million in sales and 20 million in wages thats only 400 people making a livable wage and im sure that number would be increased from 100 million at the storefront but that 120 million could equal 3000 people fed as its definitely a small ruler. If I dig deeper it might say I need to feed 6000 people. Ive got 5000 people that are impoverished that aren't spending like they would of normally but only 14 million of the 100 million was spent by those few people instead of feeding those 5000 people. Theres a strategy for civilization but this doesn't appear to be one of them, it is a high population that is unlikely able to continue.
I do get some filtered sunlight on a couple of the plants at 10:26 am but im only getting full sun on half the plants at 11:10 am so shortly after that the rest of them get full sun but the treeline gives alot of filtered sunlight aswell and that thats good up to 4-5pm and even though one of the plants is thick with stems and leaves from supercropping like you would see under 18 hours of light and they veg leafy I do think these plants are growing slowly and that might be because they were 297 days old and stressed when I brought them out but I think these do grow faster indoors under 18 hours of light so it might benefit veg speed if there under more hours of sunlight. Alot of gardens are able to get uninterrupted sunlight throughout the day and I think that is better but it does require more water. They do end up needing alot of pruning under these conditions and thats something that larger gardens may struggle to do because pruning is alot of work and it requires more than just removing small lower branches as it usually needs to be pruned to stick size branching and no small stems and at that point there is budsite pruning that could of been done so there isn't any small buds along the branching but that requires alot of patience and Im not encouraging that amount pruning. Indoors 30 days of veg is a long time, 60 days is a huge plant so 84 days of veg is 1512 hours of indoor lights vs 430 hours of full sun creating a massive plant, though the plant doesn't seem to react negatively to less than 6 hours of sun, when it it gets cold in September that isn't really a good time to flower this strain into cold October, its interesting to see it flower but I think its mostly a light dep strain if your trying to maximize yield.
At 5:45pm to 5:56pm im receiving filtered sunlight that is covering not the entire plant and thats reading at 30-120 μmol/s/m2 or you can say PPFD or known as photosynthetic photon flux density and that means I get shade during the middle of the heat during the day so there definitely not receiving the full intensity of the sun for the entire day. Ive got 4 major trees that absolutely shade during the heat of the day as the sun moves and another one that does so later in the day and in September the position of the Sun isn't as good as June, July and August. It certainly means the lighting industry has the monopoly on gardening for sure.
Ive got the net set at around 26", the larger plants need to be fed 5ml/gal ab and procal because theres been some yellowing on the lower leaves but ive got some 2ml/gal solution left and im using that up. The net is 4 1/2 feet x 4 feet and im going to fill that out and I do need to move these plants to a different location to flower outdoors because the sun changes position so drastically without a field area to grow in that they really need to be light depped in July or put into a greenhouse thats warmer during the end of September and October and has light controllers for the weather when it isn't sunny at all. Pink Kush Mints finishes the end of September apparently and thats probably a better strain to sow outdoors and grow, you purchase 100 seeds for 0 and thats not a bad deal for 30-50 female plants if your not getting runts but its also not a job that there opening up for the public because it is alot of work to hand trim and thats usually the only thing that would of worked, I can only hand trim for 2 hours per day and im not wanting to do anymore of it and that doesn't mean I wanna do it more than a week but thats usually the case and I do need to wear a mask during those two hours. This plant is the worst allergen that you could force someone to work with in confined spaces with and without ventilation meaning I can't trim outdoors im so allergic and if I don't wear long sleeves my arms are covered in bumps and its really bad, I absolutely disagree that people hand trim it because its so many hours of work to do a huge amount of it, so you need 1 person per plant to sit down and trim and that person might want to trim another one but I don't wanna trim for 3-8 hours straight day after day.
Its been warm and the weather has been good, I would say June can be a great growing month but it can also be rainy and cold, its not always going to be June, July, August, September amazing weather and thats another reason why the indoor lighting industry is better but the plant isn't as useful as you would think but it is nice if your not high all the time, they visually look better indoors but after running them through bubble bags I doubt theres any difference. I wouldn't use it beyond once or twice a week and I wouldn't eat it because it might not be an edible plant.
If you had 4-6 plants under each net you could light dep them at this size but usually about 1 square between plants is a good size to light dep, some people fill out there nets completely before flowering but it isn't necessary because you usually can train branches through the empty squares in the first 3 weeks of flower meaning at around 75-80% full under the net is good.
The next day it was rainy and cloudy and it was only 150's to 180's reading the PPFD with the light sensor and it was only 66f during the day so that is good reason to use supplementary lighting in a greenhouse during June.
The rain can wash out the fertilizers in the coco but it usually isn't enough of an issue that you can't just rewater them but if you do grow organically its possible to mix peat mixes and coco coir with wormcastings or compost or both with dry organic materials and grow that way with water after 4 weeks of the soil sitting and being turned once per week but it is easier to reuse coco after flushing with water than it is to reuse organic soil mixes and determine what nutrients need to re added into the soil, you can usually reuse soil and grow in it again and top dress but the problem is figuring out what needs to be added. Im not sure if coco coir and ewc castings work organically. If you had 100 gallons of used soil that already had earth worm castings, compost and perlite in it after how many seasons and how many gallons of ewc or compost would you need and nobody really knows what needs to be added without testing the soil, im sure a few people know but not alot of people. I know the organic soil recipes but it is an extra cost when you can reuse coco.
Its kind of an exciting activity to buy all of the organic ingredients and mixing them up yourself but its an environmental activity so your not using coconut fibre, farmers do it all the time planting cover crops and tilling up the soil and planting in it and running drip lines and watering when its really warm and low humidity. The peat moss is an additional thought upon what is traditionally done in farming, I didn't think these plants were that important to do that extra work but people use alot of peat moss. I do like using peat pellets for cloning but ive used coco for cloning before and it works, id probably say that the most difficult part is disagreeing with the peat industry because it does work. Peat has also been used as a source of fuel or for heating in some areas but I don't think that its a renewable enough resource to do that and the same for gardening. If you really wanted to farm cannabis or hemp you could mix in compost and organic materials to make it usable for growing in a large area without using peat moss but they use alot of peat moss. Its very easy to use hydroponic fertlizers in coco and very little runoff into the ground soil and the coco can be replaced after a very long time, what happens with the coco is the leaves don't yellow anymore when you give them fresh water and im not sure how many salts are retained into that coco but I do know that you can start clones in it without it burning before deciding to replace it. I would think that if the people used vaporizers the coco would not need to be replaced at all if that was part of the issue of them not yellowing.
Some organic ingredients are animal based products and some gardeners only grow with vegan based organic npk fertlizers, blood meal and feather are both very high in nitrogen as in 12-0-0 and bone is 4-12-0 but that does bother vegan based organic gardeners so there are alternatives like Soy Bean Meal 7.0-1.5-2.0, Alfalfa Meal 2.8-0.5-3.6, Neem Cake 6.0-1.0-3.0, Kelp Meal 1.0-0.1-2.0 but thats used in blood meal and bone meal recipes aswell, Fish Meal 6.7-11.4-0.4, and then you can use other materials to provide calcium to the soil but they usually use dolomite lime but there are alternatives that you can mix up. Some of the organic fertilizers take a very long time to break down so there only used if the soil is being conditioned to be reused for a very long time. Crab Meal is another good organic product and its 4-3-0 but if your vegan you might not be able to use it. the complicated part is after you've used that soil and grown in it, its still filled with nutrients if the containers are big enough so your not really sure what needs to be added while not adding compost, manure, earth worm castings and extra perlite that may not be needed. The big issue with organic fertlizers is theres only so many tons of it and after that you need to use synthetic npk products. AB formulas are so easy to measure out and use and thats why there used instead but once you try to feed at higher ppm levels its very easy to get high runoff numbers that can burn your plants, at 400ppms of co2 you couldn't push these plants past 6ml/gal AB 5ml/gal Procal in flower and that means 6ml/gal AB 5ml/gal Procal alternating with freshwater is enough feed for these plants outdoors in high temperatures. Fertlizers are very easy mentally to produce or require alot of education and engineering and thats what growing in coco is.
Heavy rains again and with the low feeding there is alot of yellowing on the lower leaves, so im going to keep the 2ml/gal mix for another time and up the feeding to 5ml/gal while the coco is soaking wet because that is one of the reasons why organics is used outdoors instead, the nutrients would normally all be available.
There was some sunny weather but it became very rainy and cold, also they need to be fed 5ml/gal ab 5ml/gal pro cal. What I think is that by the end of July they'll be large but its pretty slow at this part. Week 4 to 8 is a reason to purchase Horticulture lighting, indoors a small clone growing for 4 weeks grows way better.
The forecast is for more rain and cold weather and that is usually why June isn't always a great growing month.
I did manage to feed them a gallon of 5ml ab/gal 5ml procal/gal but it is going to be rainy again, there are alot of fan leaves to use as food so its ok at this point but they do need to be fed here. Its raining again, theres gonna be like another 3 days of rain thats what it is when growing with hydroponics outdoors.
As far as how good this strain is, I had a little left from May 2022 and I hardly use it and I vaped, It was so strong that I was overwhelmed by it and that was only the flower not concentrated. It was like there was no decrease in potency and thats from 14 months ago. There is a significantly long shelf life and it wasn't vacuum sealed in the freezer, it was kept cool and dark in the summer and around 5c through the winter. You can vacuum seal and freeze meals and they'll last for years but people cook there own food, they usually don't need to eat additional calories. Theres only so many metric tons of grains produced with a significant portion of the animal product industry replaced with soy products, beans and lentils. Its difficult to replace your diet with nuts and edible seeds such as Quinoa. If I wanted a metric ton of this product I couldn't do it without assessing the amount of additional food that is consumed. With a significant amount of exercise you would consume more calories in one sitting eating beyond your calorie limit with this strain because the human body doesn't lose weight at 3000 calories and often it doesn't at 2000-2500 and its very easy to eat 3000-4000 calories with some people being able to eat 5000+ calories in one sitting. There are agriculture communities where each house has a long field that is used for farming, they don't have a forest, there farming potatoes, yams, veggies, grains on a massive scale and thats what it means, your not opening your refrigerator or your cupboard after you get the munchies. If you've got a 30x100ft greenhouse which are about 10,000 before taxes and shipping and you can grow hundreds of tomato plants but you gotta be able put them into the retail market and turn a profit and that certainly means they've been doing that instead of growing this plant. They were looking at 200 in a 4x4 for heirloom tomatos vs 1-2lbs at prices of 900 upwards of 1800 per lb compared to 20lbs for 80 and 1-2lbs compared to 50lbs+ of tomatoes (non allergen product) and you can pay upwards of 19,000+ for a 30x100ft greenhouse. The ability to dehumidify and prevent disease and heat a greenhouse to extend the growing season is a great benefit. Second season tomatoes are planted mid summer and harvested in the fall, the same you would do with cannabis if you were light depping a greenhouse or growing autoflowers in the early summer and replacing them with a fall harvest strain that finishes in October. If you couldn't get into the tomato market at the time you were still able to produce 10lbs of bubble hash which if there was a dispensary market for it at the time that worked and thats a huge amount of savings in fuel costs, it takes alot of ice to make 100g of bubble hash so they were probably dry sifting it so it wasn't priced as high as bubble hash, I own a bubble magic wash machine and its alot of work working with the 20 gallon bags, you can work the material more than 9 times and it'll take many hours. I like making my own ice cubes but I make only a few trays at a time so it ends up taking a couple weeks to gather enough ice to make it but its kind of fun emptying the ice trays.
(There were alot of reductions in canopy space for alot of people including the legal markets, it could be the same with any vegetable grown crops if they don't need it. They throw out alot of cannabis in this industry, it isn't all that great to hear about the expiration dates..)
I definitely think that the autos that are done in 10+ weeks from seed are a better option than vegging these, if the thc content was only 20% instead of 25% it doesn't matter at all. Currently these plants could be finished with a light dep with a little more veg time at a good size in the same amount of time that you could start and finish the autoflower varieties that are feminized with a high thc content. One of the issues with the autoflowers is some of them are runts to the point you would need many of them to make up two ounces. Some people would tell you that anything that grows that small isn't worth growing at all and you should only be using light deprivation, or another thing would be that they look ok but not very good visually and I understand you can turn it into hash but I don't want any of it. People can be really critically opinionated about how things look after its trimmed and dried. There are some unfrosty phenotypes or that are to airy that I don't think are particular sought after.
I keep looking at these websites selling autoflowers at 20% thc and I keep thinking if a store was buying the flowers you'd want to grow alot of them otherwise its alot of unused flower. All ive read is that they need to be stabilized to be commercialized into the current market and that means they would need a greenhouse with a rolling blackout cover on timers. It reads as if they wouldn't be able to finish mid summer if they were commercialized without a greenhouse.
There isn't any sunny weather until week 9, so im definitely loosing around 2 weeks of nice weather for cold, rainy, and cloudy conditions. Its been 48f to under 60f during the day and 40's during the night, that isn't warm at all. You could spend anywhere from 70 to 150 on a 10 pack of seeds meaning if you wanted to do a Sea of Green it could cost over 1000 if it was only a 50% success or two lights if they were feminized beans and you weren't planning on cloning it. Your pretty sure that if there starting a Sea of Green there probably cloning from feminized plants. Thats where its kind of better to start with clones. If you had to take a few hundred to a thousand clones you wouldn't want to at all, its like a job where someone would pay you to do it because you don't want to do it. Most of the processing of this plant after harvest is also something that isn't wanted to be worked on. They'd strip them and throw them into a wash machine that has a screenfilter instead of lifting bags or keep it without being manicured. Its so many times more of an allergen that you wouldn't spend more than 30 seconds manicuring it if you were to use it. In other countries they grow it from seeds, they dry it, its dry sifted but you can't breath it in if you have an allergy to it. Its really only affordable to start a large selection of seeds if you make the seeds yourself into F2's or crossing a clone with a seed plant, its not an easy start. If you had alot of seeds from a previous seed crop it would be easier but mostly your spending alot of time vegging out the seed plants. At no point would anyone want to veg longer than 4 weeks or flower beyond 70 days, it couldn't easily be a 4-5 month expedition, most cannabis plants are staggered to grow and finish within 3 1/2 months or less, the summer is certainly shorter due to May and June, your mostly focused on July and August mentally with September feeling like its to cold. Cannabis can be started and finished in 2 1/2 months but it requires alot of clones.
I keep thinking clay pots were what were traditionally used with hemp twine and bamboo being the feature to use in gardening because I didn't really think the polyethylene was really needed but they use alot of netting instead of bamboo. I definitely feel like they should use a biodegradable material for the containers that can be reused. You'll see people use tomato cages instead but its difficult to keep the plants shorter so they would need to build something out of bamboo to make a screen but I don't do that. The plastic containers last a long time but they also need to be replaced if there small containers but not for a very long time. One of the issues I know about with cannabis gardening is that gloves and netting get pretty sticky and is usually not treated as a recyclable, whereas if it was a veggie garden its easily washed and recycled. It isn't an issue of it being recyclable its more an of issue of it not being biodegradable. The geopots and smartpots don't usually get washed by people because they get pretty coated in salt buildup, they probably don't recycle them. I actually think that those breathable containers are for organics. Ive heard they've soaked them in baking and vinegar solutions but you need to use garbage cans to do that, so you need to buy more plastic products in order to use them for a longer period.
I purchased seeds this year and I think its kind of fun to start them but these clones are somewhat sentimental, im not entirely sure that its easy to start a plant and throw it away. There definitely is something there that says the clone varieties were kept for a reason. Its alot of work to test through, you couldn't grow a 30%+ thc plant at this point and id think its better because its stronger, I know the edibles aren't usable there so strong on 20%+ thc strains and thats after you've built up a tolerance to vaping it. I can't say they didn't go through the lab work to create and use research substances that were stronger and better that had unknown effects on the brain because of how the edibles worked. Theres a level of abuse on the overdose threshhold and after effects trying to eat this plant. 18% is really strong so if you get prescribed 16% it doesn't mean anything other than your tolerance doesn't require it, you could test any seed plant and it could read between and 15%-30% thc possibly and I don't think it would matter from a usage perspective, I couldn't test it and say it to was to low and needed to be higher. If you get to effected from the substance it doesn't necessarily mean its better to use once in a while or frequently, you could get a stronger phenotype in a pack of seeds it might be to high of an effect for the person using it. There could be a #1, #2, #3, #4 with one of them testing 18% and another testing 28% and you like the 18% better but you kept the other phenos and you didn't throw them away.
It was quite cool at noon today but it warmed up and the clouds opened up and it was very sunny after around 1pm. The weather after today is going to be very nice and were probably going to see alot of growth on these plants and it isn't July yet and that means they can get quite large with nice weather. I definitely think that if you want plants that are large you do need to start vegging them in early April or before but that does mean your watering alot more so if you have more plants but more numerous your working on it for a shorter period of time and that means you probably want clones or 4-6 week old seedlings planted end of June or sometime in July but that does mean seeds are being germinated in early May and they might be kept indoors because of the weather conditions.
What id really like to say about these varieties is that the visual design of it says that your overspending for what it does. All this plant needed was climate control and food production and additional greenhouse space. It wasn't important enough on a large scale to need HID or LED lighting, they worked on it to hard to make it look a certain way because that wasn't a requirement for usage. Im only saying climate control because of the humidity issues. We had issues with people that could setup there own transformers and how they could of done that is beyond my comprehension, its a fuel and line problem in relation to free sunlight but if your able to setup a transformer and somehow build some form of generation that isn't a bad idea, theres been issues with animals in the forest because of the fertilizer and pesticides that were used, I can't say it isn't better to keep them somewhat commercialized but its a pretty limiting way of doing it, so it isn't a million people but its less than what was needed. Is setting up a transformer smart or is it frugal or being cheap, it isn't mean but it can be dangerous if you don't know anybody that can do it themselves, it could be a company making safety notices.
Some of the climates for growing these plants are alot better and you can get really large plants in open sun by June 20th while there really small in the beginning of May but that is not how my climate is or how many hours of sun I get. It can be slowed down substantially if its to cold and not sunny enough.
My biggest concern with this plant is that when I use it its not saying that the music doesn't sound amazing, its saying it does. I think its a hurdle if a plant says the person needs a sex change but there thoughts during the day are normal and don't require immediate medical assistance. Im sure I can't use it because of a slight mistake on how it was wired.
You can purchase the seeds for this plant online and they look like the clone version so its probably the best phenotype that you would find in the pack of seeds.
Ive also had some additional cloudy weather with feeling pretty chilly at 6:30 pm, August it gets really cold at night and you need to wear pants and sweaters at night and thats what the weather feels like. I wasn't really to stoked about the climate. Theres alot of activities to do but mostly if the work isn't there it doesn't make alot of sense because theres better climates, it does look very nice May through July but August doesn't quite look as nice always as the sky is hazy with smoke.
I said before "I do get some filtered sunlight on a couple of the plants at 10:26 am but im only getting full sun on half the plants at 11:10 am so shortly after that the rest of them get full sun but the treeline gives alot of filtered sunlight aswell and that thats good up to 4-5pm", the veg growth is thick enough that the fan leaves shade the bud sites like you would see with alot of sun and the leaves do look like you would defoliate at some point, so that does say that these plants do look like there growing optimally for veg growth but not as fast, they certainly couldn't add more leaves with that many hours.
Another day between week 9 and 10 is cloudy and that means it isn't very warm but warm enough to wear a tshirt but I am once again wearing a sweater and if you've got weeks that are 50% sunny that slows things down, so im definitely thinking that if you wanted your plants vegged faster and flowered you would need a greenhouse with lighting. It isn't an argument about lighting, it only means that people are spending money to finish them. Im not thinking that you can use it alot because of how strong it is on the mind, I mostly think that a 4x8 tent has a positive effect on the person growing and more is visually stimulating, but because of the shape of the leaves and the fractal DMT flower structure they might grow cannabis instead of edible fruiting plants but hydroponics is kind of fun so those could be grown aswell. The clouds opened up a little and theres some sun coming through the sky, so it might not be completely cloudy today but that is how outdoor weather is in June. It became cloudy again but the reading on the phone light sensor was 170-180 µMol/m2/s and thats how it is growing outdoors when its cloudy and its colder to so it isn't as great of an environment for growing as a greenhouse.
I know sometimes there are seeds on sale online, I was browsing and they were selling 25 for 240 US with 25 free and thats great but if I make seeds at all im not able to talk to anyone, so thats where im a little hesitant on this plant, theres someone thats saying theres something wrong with it and they don't want people eating it. Id like to grow more cannabis but its mostly money that keeps me from growing it, its expensive to run a heater in the winter with a light, thats a huge expense for some people and that makes outdoor one of the only ways that is affordable to grow this plant, its about 65w-150 watts of LED in a space already heated thats almost enough to keep plants to clone from but I mostly think that the pheno hunt is not happening and your basically either growing seeds out once and not keeping the phenos or its another expenditure to keep phenos. I really like the idea that if I can't keep the Rockstar pheno I can also buy it online and regrow the strain instead of for example crossing it with another strain and spending additional money on it. Cannabis sales are little bit competitive and that means there isn't a craft market at all, there growing an enormous amount of cannabis in these huge facilities and that puts people into a more impoverished zone and facilitates other activities, theres alot of street vending in the world of many items of all sorts that may or may not be successful but has a better climate and population, its a complicated social structure and cannabis has been part of it for a very long time. To keep 1000 phenos is 65kw running 16-18 hours per day indefinitely. This particular pheno has always been a great plant and there wasn't anything about it that said that another plant is better to keep instead. I think it could be a frostier plant but it doesn't need to be. You couldn't increase the thc percentage without needing a prescription, that percentage was a prescription at one point it wasn't increased. There hasn't been any effect that could be alot different, you could be more sleepy but you wouldn't want to be, or you could not want to eat anything, there could be a visual or auditory hallucination but thats more of mental health thing you don't want that, you wouldn't want anymore brain activity on obscure thoughts, your not feeling alot of negative effects unless you eat to many edibles. The visual stimulation is very strong on the edibles but to high pressure on the arteries. It was like a developer file that I wasn't really sure was in there but we had it. It talks to itself and changes things, its definitely self aware of what its doing, the ideas aren't really thought out that well because its alot of polyethylene, so its definitely making alot of sense that its thinking as its a very dark space of ideas.
Where this gets really complicated is that its a 9th dimensional object that was drawn from the 9th dimension, so your looking at a tesseract as in it looks like it was built outside of this dimension but by what, did they bring it in or was it built here with magic. Im only saying that because theres so many possibilities on what is it, as in theres infinite possibilities of what could of happened. Theres a dream space with the thing that is infinite of ideas. It was very creative that it was designed like everything else that you see, how would you enter a black hole and what is on the other side, is it on the other side creating things in the 9th dimension or slowly thinking its way through 3 dimensions. Maybe the idea isn't good enough and your to intoxicated in another space of consciousness and some of the ideas that make our life so convenient aren't there because they couldn't implement the polyethylene that well and somehow that idea wasn't good enough but it was thought about it. It could be just a 4th dimensional hypersphere because thats similar to a tesseract, but it is saying a space of infinite possibilities and ideas.
Id also like to say id rather this part of history was an introduction to the work, but it seems like it hasn't been and there really not making it as career pathed as id like, it does seem a little misdirected. I felt like they could of structured it around a farmers market and trade like you'd see in ancient history, but they didn't. Carthage was destroyed by the Romans in 146 BC but they rebuilt it, theres alot of undertones of conflicting thoughts. It kind of said that Carthage was no longer trading in embroidered silks creating an empty sector.
The increased nutrient feedings really greened up the leaves at this stage of growth, you'll see that alot of the plants look very similar to each other and that does kind of make cloning this plant and pheno a great idea but I do enjoy starting seed plants aswell. Its not an unreplaceable plant but it is somewhat unreplaceable. Im not sure what the effects are of the other phenos. I don't combust cannabis at all or use it that many times in a year but it is usable once or twice a week. I do know you couldn't find a better looking flower shape, ive seen some really frosty flowers but these aren't the frostiest phenos that ive seen but it doesn't challenge that part of the brain, its more of an intelligent discussion about its effects. Im not sure what it looks like if its flowered outdoors in July or August but it is one of them that we liked, if I flower this again for show it might be really cold with small flowers at the end of September through October and it is kind of like these looked really small and are colorful. This plant is absolutely a greenhouse or warehouse grown plant but it might not be alot of it and thats where the discussion about the effects of it are, they like alot of variety of strains if there dispensing it out to people.
There was a thunderstorm and it started raining again today after being sunny and in the 80's, it is one of the highlights of the summer weather, you need a little rain in the sunshine. I think that had these plants not of suffered over the winter they could of been flowered under the lights and finished. Its a mistake if your water is mixed with unknowns that can cause plant death. Thats probably one of the reasons why I felt like sharing these because im not responsible enough to solve problems in ground water. I know its a competitive schedule. If its a smaller issue at first and becomes a bigger issue, then there needs to be water advisories and you've seen it happen before, its not a new thing. If there was a commodity that you couldn't produce in your country that had alot of problems surrounding it cannabis would be it because it takes up alot of space and the power generation isn't available in a large enough quantity that they wouldn't want to know what it was being used for. If you wanna be really silly with this plant and grow 400 plants and produce 100lbs of material to process into bubble hash with only 10% yield thats probably 6400 square feet of plant material because of how little it produces finishing the end of October, it might be 1lb for 4 plants because it produces so little with the weather at the end of September and October, its 28,495 for a 75 gallon Osprey washing machine or 15,000 for a Rosin Tech Washer Pro. The real problem with keeping these plants not in a greenhouse is that by the middle of October they could fail to make it because it can drop to freezing temperatures but not always so sometimes you might be able to take this strain to Day 56, so its not really a great idea to watch it fail completely but it can be educational.
If you had a 30x100 greenhouse and you heated it and grew this plant and were able to wash it into bubble and market it, you'd be doing pretty good with this strain. The Osprey Wash Machine does 21,000g Fresh Frozen Capacity, or 4,200g-4,600g Dry Flower. If I see additional greenhouse space its probably vegetables being grown, who wants to grow cannabis doesn't wanna work on it for that many hours. Unless they've got alot of workers they don't want to prune for that many hours. 1 person per 100 squarefeet or 14 days of it. If your short on workers and hours your not pruning at all because its really time intensive and has to be done atleast twice or up to around 14 days of flower so your mostly just working intensively and it can't be to hot, your probably not counting nodes down a branch, your really only focused on making a stick branch at harvest, you don't want any small stem branches and along those are buds that are to small for hand trimming or are very time intensive.
There isn't any easy way to replace this strain because it looks exactly the same as a 30% thc plant, it actually looks like the same plant. If you find a difference, I think you can look through the seeds but if you've got a good clone its only a 65w led and heating to keep a clone alive and thats where someone might say I don't feel like keeping plants all year round but some people prefer to always be able to clone from a certain plant and this was one of those plants. Im really not thinking 28%-30%+ thc at this point for growing is necessary. If the terpene profile was different, it couldn't be alot different in effect, its relaxing, thats good enough.
I had some outdoor scissor hash that was from November 2020 that I stored in the freezer unvacuum sealed and it was quite strong and there were some problems with it because I have a snag in my aortas and the pressure using the hash causes quite a bit of discomfort and pulling and its probably only fixable with surgery. Another thing that can be an issue is what the plants and larger stalks, also minerals aswell look like while your under the effect of the cannabinoids because it tends to make things look slightly different, theres more of a wow effect on imagery. The plant doesn't stay straight enough, its mislocating is probably what I would call it. It didn't seem like the brain was very smart with imagery. Its not that its an easy plant, its a complicated plant and you see alot of seeds are sold online and not directly in stores and thats where its difficult to sell them anywhere, your pretty sure there souvenir items or they could be looked at as medical products in many instances. You'll see hydroponic systems with lots of pumps and tubing and piping with some them being very high pressure pumps and you look at the plants, you look at the human anatomy of the heart and the aortas and you think these systems need to be working, the pump system has to be working properly, there can't be to much gunk in the system, the tubes need to be clean, there can't be a loose fitting. If this tube gets clogged the pump is to high pressure for the tubing that were using or theres high levels of pressure at a certain point. It definitely could be something that you put in a bowl and look at in the sunlight, its absolutely an item like that.
One of the major issues with the edibles was they can effect the breast tissue, it can make someone feel impotent because they can't do anything and its not a permanent feeling or effect, there were always conditions of not being able to eat edibles most of the time, because of that the plant is looked at differently and it isn't treated quite the same. The pressure alone was a stretch, if there not permanent effects you can't treat any other mishaps as in you basically would need to stop using it.
You can purchase a 30x36 ft. greenhouse for 7105 and thats visually really fun to grow but the difficult part is getting it all to work smoothly and one person probably couldn't do more work than that because that could be 60 large plants to trim or 240 plants or 540 medium size plants without spacing to walk around between plants (you would want spacing for the 540 plants because you can't crawl around) and thats alot of work for one person. Thats why someone might buy a 30x100 ft. for 11000 because its alot more space than the 30x36 ft. but we already know about the issues so you might not need the 30x100 ft., Im saying there has been issues with mold and some people liked hiding there plants and needed them to be in a greenhouse. It can get quite costly to start a light deprivation greenhouse, its mostly only affordable to start them without greenhouse facilities but that still meant they needed agriculture land, were at the part where they didn't like the fence idea. Its not really easy enough to connect these fittings. Whats on the other side of the fence if its a tesseract. What ive learned about photography is that if I don't show you whats on the other side, you won't know whats on the other side, if I can't take an image of a black hole and go through it and take another image of whats on the other side you won't see whats on the other side.
Some of the automated greenhouses are quite expensive and acquiring agriculture land is another issue that is not possible with a huge wealth gap, it was traditionally treated as an impoverished activity and the result is the same. Educationally I think it wasn't more than being able to structurally setup facilities and operate them, it could be difficult to manage decision making on what varieties and disagreeing on using rockwool instead of coco or they wanted to use clay pebbles. Its alot of work setting up irrigation if you don't know what pump sizes and tank sizes and how many drippers you would need, it looked like they got pretty complicated on the plumbing side with the nutrient injection systems. On the other side of it anyone could do it and it didn't need alot of education.
The price of cannabis has declined from 2400 down to 2200 - 1800 - 1700 - 1400 - 1300 - 1200 - 1000 in the past 15 years for anything that was really good with outdoor definitely seeing 900 sooner. I think that was the zone of conflict on peoples opinions of the substance. In the United States they were declining from 4000 in the 90's. Alot of people weren't able to fill the wage gap and it was a militarized conflict at that point. I don't think its worse that there isn't work but it doesn't mean that its better if its paid to the most wealthy of income earners but you could say that about any product that you buy in stores, the seed industry is a very important part and I think this website is a positive outlook on what the industry would look like for the next 100 years. I think theres always people that would like to create conflict and feel somewhat religious about it. It is difficult to implement strategies to decline marijuana as a usable substance, its a very fun plant to grow and is quite enjoyable to watch flower, its certainly easier to decline a large amount of it especially if it isn't greenhouse grown, I could absolutely reschedule and decline it again if I didn't like it. I download the file I like it, what is it, where did it come from, who made it. The cost of breast augmentation is 10-12k, face lifts are 10-30k, rhinoplasty 9-16k, hormone therapy is probably 200 a month..you couldn't really do it, you need to be a quitter at some point. Im not making this expensive its your psychological issues that make you think that you needed rhinoplasty, this plant doesn't make you beautiful, you need to figure that out yourself. Its the smallest tiniest sparkle in the history of the earth where this plant was very valuable. Thats not saying it isn't still valuable but its like a tomato or a certain type of fruit that isn't grown in the same capacity making it more valuable but less of it. A million grams (2204lbs) of cannabis is 20,000 people using 1 gram per week for a year but 1 person could easily eat alot of fruit per day and each person was spent after using 48 grams in a year and they didn't like it enough, so they ate fruit instead of using cannabis. If you see the hash fields in the world and you look at the expenditure on lights per 10,000-20,000 people you don't use anything other than natural sunlight to complete the task, my task manager is saying that it uses to many resources inefficiently.
There growing at a good pace for the amount of sun that they get but it could always be better than this but ive seen pineberry finish rock solid with less sun than this so I figure it doesn't. There were a few yellowing lower leaves so you probably could feed them 6ml/gal AB and Pro Cal. It would probably be better to grow a Pineberry, Timewarp or a Purple Romulan because they actually finish in this climate but if its only 14% thc then it becomes a stupid argument about indoor varieties, if theres alot of certain type of varieties then theres no real interest in it, and other strains are grown that might not finish in the climate. I think it was treated for mold by growing indoors but its difficult to say that someone thought that variety was better than that variety because I don't use it really so thats not a tolerance to the substance.
One of the biggest issues with greenhouses is that the material that they are made out of effects there insulation value making a double layer inflation kit an essential option if your growing into the colder weather because of the heating costs but if your able to spend alot you can get them with twinwall polycarbonate and thats really good for gardening and heating. The most efficient material is 5 wall polycarbonate and that means I really did think using the sunlight was the most cost effective and displacing the lights as battery storage and transmission costs. I absolutely think that if its flat agriculture land and you put a greenhouse on it it does effect the look of the land and that might be a reason to only grow outside of a greenhouse but in larger quantities making the fence idea a questionable idea because you don't like that and all of the crops in the world are grown without fences. For thousands of years cannabis grew freely without fences, for millions of years the Dinosaurs roamed the earth, civilization has only been around for 6000 years with humans only occupying 200,000 years and there ancestor or ancestors 6 million years. They grow alot of crops in greenhouses because they can extend the season, its not a new thing to do, greenhouses are also more water efficient making them an effective tool in dryer climates and regions that suffer from drought. The hoop houses using 5 mil black plastic for covering is the most affordable way of finishing these plants but id rather grow a different strain but it can be really rainy in September so greenhouses are a good idea. If you bought a 16x24 ft. hoophouse im thinking you would need the 40x150 ft. roll if its 7 ft. of height on either side, the 30 ft. roll might be to tight or fit exactly. If the plants get really tall you need more than 7 feet of height.
I think that its very expensive to get into the industry on a large scale that to make it look like its working is complicated, they would need to be hiring and running pay roll otherwise it makes no sense at all being upset about animal encounters, its visually possible to grow cannabis anywhere but also a really complicated decision legalizing and structuring it to keep people from working in it that can't because we found that not all of them were manageable as in there is mental health in the industry. They could acquire millions and hire people and disagree about methods of growing and quit. The humidity problems when trying to grow this plant can say that it can only be climate controlled. 30,000 square feet of greenhouse at 86% full is around 1600lbs to 3000lbs and thats probably not making money on the first year. One of the issues is if you only pruned 200 square feet like a sane person you would need 129 workers but you couldn't pay them 30k per year so all of sudden there is a financial issue with opening these facilities. They need a second crop rotation to make it somewhat financially viable for 129 people, if you lower it to half the amount of people it becomes somewhat easier to manage the pay roll. Id cut 16,000+ clones in March and veg them in the greenhouse in April/May and flower them in June/July/August and also cut the same amount of clones in June and veg them outside of the 30,000 square feet in July/August and Flower them out again in August, September, October. Thats probably what it looked like for the people that were running the facilities without high energy costs but they might of only done one crop the first year due to costs, it seems to be a millionaire investment and that means its very directional and might not pay anything for awhile and there would be disagreements about hours worked per employee and the amount needed for a livable wage. If they weren't able to afford dehumidifiers and coco for the October harvest they only did one rotation that year, its really that expensive to start and finish. There might be 160 large plants for cloning so they would need additional space for that or they made seeds over the winter months so they didn't need to take cuttings but its also very costly to buy thousands of seeds. If your only at a 50% success rate on rooting the plants that means your left with 8000 plants to veg through April and May. The story was that the people couldn't afford the space for 160 lights and all they had were the greenhouses but they didn't have any additional lighting so they were stuck with growing from the seed that they made over the winter because they couldn't afford to order 8000 clones.
You could probably buy a clone for 5-10 dollars each but they sell them for 25+. It almost makes more sense to grow the plant and flower it yourself in a grow tent than it does to use it as a substance at those prices. This plant in particular can root as low as 40-50% into a good growing plant while another strain cloned the exact same way is 90%. Some strains are difficult to clone and for me this plant has been.
Another thing id like to say about growing cannabis outdoors is that indoor is usually dried as a flower shape but outdoor varieties sometimes get treated as a fresh frozen product and used for concentrates and that means you can't always grow alot of cannabis outdoors and use it for anything unless you have a use for it. Its a flooded industry with alot of competition and it doesn't mean you can be additional workforce if you grow alot of it. Theres alot of things made in the world that I don't have any use for or I can't afford that doesn't expire that gets used very little and people buy those items. Really wealthy people can start businesses and make small percentages and it doesn't affect them and they have a workforce of people and it does absolutely nothing financially for those people because there already financially free from doing something else but thats what they like doing. The only reason the horticulture lighting industry is part of the equation is because its been very successful. I like the LED lighting industry alot but if you walk into a large greenhouse facility they might be using High Pressure Sodium because it is a visually appealing light and always will be, they aren't built incorrectly. The efficiency of using LED lights is the reason why they would be used, if they were inefficient they wouldn't use them. You couldn't turn an LED light on after using HPS or Metal Halide without thinking this isn't the same life, these aren't the same memories, they are very memorable to use, looking at them turned off and how shiny and glossy they are, very memorable, hearing them turn on and off its an amazing light. If you could pull it back under the net when HPS was the only light you could buy, the girls are beautiful, you've got your youth, it was a positive thought. It is an exception on the thought pattern of inventions and technology.
There is the debate on glass greenhouses because they do look better than polycarbonate and you can see in, so the question is how do you create a bubble of insulation without structurally building anything because they do take alot of engineering and setup time, that hasn't been engineered on earth yet. They've engineered blackout glass so you don't need light deprivation material if you structurally can create something that won't tear. It would sound like ive got a controller for the glass and I can change the shade from clear to opaque to completely black and that can be set on a timer but that isn't available you gotta buy twinwall polycarbonate with curtains that run on gears and chains but its more insulated.
Im also feeling like there vegging pretty fast now as in atleast three of them could be flowered at 12 weeks but im only watching them. You need a November growing season for this strain or its greenhouse grown.
People that can't say butter, thats who would use this. Your gonna need doctors to fix the butter.
30,000 square feet of greenhouse space is a really expensive investment and its questionable whether or not these people wanted to do more than seasonal so they might not be interested in an insulated series of structures but if they were insulated they would probably be interested in the design and visual look of them but also the R value, its a really expensive investment when you take into account the heating, air conditioning dehumidifying systems that are needed. I almost think that its a seasonal expenditure for most climates due to costs.
It doesn't take very long of putting it on a spoon at a high concentrate and mixing it in with desert food that you kind of find that it isn't a weak substance like vaping it is. It certainly has an effect after doing that for a year or two once or twice a week, that means it might not be positive for the person using it. Then theres the discussion about water conservation and other costs, a similar drug could be manufactured to achieve the same result but it couldn't cause visual damage or brain issues, there had to be a smarter scientist vs a creator discussion.
It was rainy the day before week 12, so I decided to take additional photos but I should of taken them a little earlier when the leaves were wetter but these were the photos I got. Im sure if you can afford a better phone or camera they might be better pictures. I think most people would like a warmer September in this climate but it cools down really cold in August and it feels like the summers almost over and so it does feel like a short growing season because of that.
Id also like to say that when its green and the landscape is wet its way better than any dry climate. So even if a property is landscaped in a desert climate this was better, you can get really creative with design but your always going have a water shortage and that becomes the biggest difficulty in locating a population here especially because the forest gets to dry. If you can run a transmission line from photovoltaics from the right climate it is possible to live here but as of right now it has the reached a limit on power generation. The winter can see temperature extremes and the amount of snowfall that ive seen has been to much to locate a large population here, your really looking at needing technology to automate it and to make it more efficient to the point that it reduces the workload and stress along with challenges of being a worker. If the climate changed significantly and was warmer there could be problems with drought and that means we would need to look at a climate closer to what was seen in earlier geologic periods.
Ive had some cloudy and rainy weather so this isn't the most that they could of grown and its probably faster with more hours of sunlight but these plants can get massive when they veg through August but the climate here doesn't really work for this strain, so you do need a November growing season or a greenhouse. These plants could freeze the middle of October and not finish. I think there very visually stimulating to look at and thats probably one the biggest complications because it is somewhat difficult to stop working when its better. They do look better grown outdoors than in a greenhouse, the surroundings do affect how you feel about the work environment, your probably not going to like working in a greenhouse as much but for commercial use a greenhouse can be essential for preventing mold on some of the strains and cola sizes that are encountered in growing this plant, small branches on this strain will mold in the rainy weather while other sizes that may be larger may remain unaffected, the problem is hand trimming and looking through when you can't see the mold, so it does become a plant that is flowered with dehumidifiers and especially if there not hand trimming. You can move them into a greenhouse after 30 days of flowering and that can prevent the mold.
The day after that I took these photos there is forest fire smoke in the air and that lowers the PPFD down from 1600 to 480-500-560 µmol/m²/s with a max reading of 590-600 but mostly reading 480-560 PPFD and it isn't so smokey that you can't see but its quite thick but not enough that you can smell it in the air like when theres huge amounts of smoke moving through the air. That reading isn't as high as an indoor light can be or considered to be the max ideal PPFD reading for flowering cannabis but it is enough and it is good for vegging. It is a smart invention to use an indoor light but if you want to keep the system free from strain and keep the grid open for people that need to use the electricity you can grow outdoors in July, the batteries are only that big. If there isn't a battery they can't be done, then there is the discussion about sour diesel because that is the only other option if there isn't battery storage. Indoor sour diesel is marked higher than some of what was grown outdoors, these lemons are pretty sour.
If 4 plants takes 7 weeks to veg and fill a screen under 18 hours of light and 1 plant takes 12 weeks with sub optimal hours of intense sunlight to fill a screen does that mean that we need a scientific explanation, its obvious to me that these plants grow bigger and fill out fast after so many weeks of vegetative growth. They intensely multiply there growth rate as they get larger.
I did find some pistils today during veg and im not sure if that is because of the pot size being smaller and they might flower sooner or if that is normal for this strain during July and some of the branches are becoming to stiff to put under the net and currently you need a higher ceiling than a grow tent to finish them for flowering because they stretch atleast 2 ft. with the most being in geopots and outperforming in stretch. If you don't supercrop or scrog these plants in large geopots they need 9 ft.+ poles and you might need to use string to the keep pole from leaning in either direction and thats why they use cages for these plants but there not as visually appealing to look at but if your growing many large plants that size they usually use cages and or netting and support poles because they only fall over at that size. Geopots and Smartpots grow the largest fan leaves that ive seen but they use alot of water, I didn't need more frequent watering but they work a little bit better, if your using plastic pots it isn't going to change alot other than these plants stretched enough at 14 days that stretching to 21 days is to many days and they also seem to veg at different growth rates. The argument with plastic pots is that they didn't need to flower a plant sooner or more often if the stretch was slightly more in geopots, if you fill out the net sooner it doesn't really matter. There is alot of downtime with this plant, so your not always doing alot with it.
On 86 days of veg I removed the netting and bamboo stakes from these plants and it was very time consuming to do but they look better to walk around and the reason I did that was because I moved the containers to straighten out the stalks and in doing so it pushed the net upwards and inwards on the sides pulling at the bamboo and it didn't look like a very good scrog because of the flexibility of the bamboo that I was using. There also to tall to flower in a tent horizontally. The density of the leaves receiving less than 6 hours of direct sunlight and probably something at the 4-5 hour mark is no difference in density compared to 18 hours of indoor light. With the scrog netting not there anymore they grow regrow straight up without bends or twists in the branches and that is kind of an artistic way of growing the plant and you can see a top view of all the branches unfolding, but it is better not looking at the netting all of the time. I can see how it is to fill out a net with a large plant but usually using 4-9 plants is what is recommended. The LST needs to be started at a shorter height or the scrog needs to be in place when there shorter and that takes more hours of work than super cropping. The wave effect of setting up a scrog does cause a mental effect, whereas super cropping can be really negative. Im enjoying not using the net but id also kind of like to LST and see the canopy more and thats the reason why scrogging is kind of neat, its visually mind bending.
With a scrog your constantly looking for branches to pull under the net and opening up the canopy but when growing these normally it becomes a very dense plant with lots of fan leaves and that feels like im not seeing the entire plant, where are they, why am I not seeing them, its what I was thinking, im wanting to see more detail of the plant material. I think that is what causes some people to scrog mentally. When they get really tall you need a ladder to see the top canopy colas and thats kind of annoying because it looks cooler. I wanted to see the branches grow wavy across the netting instead of straight up vertically but now there pointed straight and there stiff. LIfe isn't always open to opportunities, sometimes those doors are closed. You could of reached the farthest point in the Milky Way Galaxy and seen all of the destinations but your suddenly not able to plot your course. I purchased this star map and I can longer read it the way I wanted to read it.
Why didn't I move the pots back normally and unstraightened them so the net wasn't pulling at the bamboo, one of the plants only had 1 row of squares left and it would of been growing straight up anyways but the others had alot of open squares. Scrogs are a cool thing to work on, I actually liked working on the scrog.
The plant is unscrogged and the growth is quite dense with July and August left to veg, Im not sure if im going to transplant them into larger containers because it uses alot of water in the geopots but if it gets to hot then they'll need watering more than once per day at some point. 4 plants can drink 60 gallons per day in the geopots and you can grow a really large plant in a 4-5 gallon container, coco is a hydroponic medium like rockwool that can be watered multiple times per day and can grow large in a small amount of medium in comparison to the plant size.
There aren't alot of outdoors grow diaries posted but if you see one and you recognize the person or the area, it is public to see but private to visit. There not really here for fun, there here because I need information on this plant. Not all of the people that buy seeds are going to grow them but people do purchase and grow them.
As far as the veg time is concerned for these plants outdoors, its probably around 30 days from cutting the clone to transplanting into a larger container and then 30 days vegging under a high PPFD light and another 20+ days to get this kind of height, im not sure about width but it is a little faster with 18 hours of light.
As far as eating this plant is concerned, theres to many layers of skin that stretch, it does matter if it breaks anything but the stretch is to high already. If your looking for serotonin or dopamine while your trying to eat this plant thats a doctors visit, you can't really abuse substances on the weekends all of the time without feeling pretty down.
If your growing these plants to watch them grow and enjoy, you should be starting them indoors atleast 8 weeks before May in my climate, these plants can grow pretty slow when started from seed. Probably the biggest conclusion with nature and this plant is seeking enjoyment, why would you want to enjoy more than this plant and usually it says more than this plant, especially if its any sort of social gathering. The fact that I enjoy growing this plant is very significant.
I haven't talked about pH because I start them at 1ml/gal AB after rooted without pHing and I up it to 2ml/gal AB 2ml/gal Pro Cal pHed to yellow or yellowish green testing with pH drops after there well rooted in small containers and then I transplant again into larger containers, so I am always pHing the solution but it does grow without doing that but you might get crinkly leaves, its something I don't really know alot about.
Its looks like this for pHing but not all water is the same
25g 2ml ab/procal - 26.5ml new ph down
35g 2ml ab/procal - 33ml new ph down
50g 2ml ab/procal - 64ml ph down 53ml new ph down
55g 2ml ab/procal - 70.7 ml ph down 60ml new ph down
70g 2ml ab/procal - 90ml ph down 75ml new ph down
70g 5ml ab/procal - 118.5ml ph down 100ml new ph down = yellow
65g 5ml ab/procal - 110ml ph down 92ml new ph down
70g 6ml ab/procal - none required.
Im writing alot of things down but thats the point, it isn't a social enough of a substance. Or I wasn't interested enough to talk to anyone using this plant. All it says is that you need to study something else for that.
Also after looking at these photos do you feel like buying the most expensive camera as in feeling like you need more than 12.6 MP, Id like to see more detail in the images and better colors and fluidity of the images. I think its a close resemblance to the scene that the pixels are portraying but I think it could be a better image. Im only mislocating myself in this climate, it does get to cold and that means the imagery is effecting how im located.
I did have strong winds and unfortunately you do need more stakes to keep these plants supported, so what I used the one year that I grew these before outdoors is that I used rebar and I pulled it in multiple directions to keep the rebar from falling over and I then tied all of the large branches to it and that worked but the bamboo that Im using is very flexible so it probably needs alot of them to hold the plants in place. A nice thing about a greenhouse is that you can tie the plants to the frame and they don't fall over. Making cages out of fence also works for keeping them supported but mostly your needing a long piece of rigid material to grow them large and supported and that means it makes sense to grow them smaller. So were not able to progress to 13 weeks of veg without investing in support material. Ive yet to find a more difficult plant to photograph, it needs a greenhouse or a ton of stakes, it can't grow beautifully without a frame.
Ive been thinking about this plant alot and id mostly rather keep seeds long term than the original plant because it is probably a few hundred dollars to keep it long term and that might be worth it financially for some people but the way the industry looks like right now it doesn't make alot of sense to buy seeds for cloning from a keeper plant. It says this is whats left of the breeding thats been done and we need seeds but not above average plants. There might not be alot of personal feelings about the plant unless its being used for something and it makes sense to rebuy seeds if you want to see that particular variety again, you can easily keep a few strains going but why bother if you can rebuy the seeds. You can start a pack of seeds and clone from those plants but if your looking for a special clone that you like in particular your probably revegging the plant because it can take alot of seeds to find a pheno that was twice as frosty as the others, unless its alot of people working on a few plants each and its kind of a huge amount of time spent on a few plants. Its easier to start another pack than it is to keep a particular plant long term. If I had 4 phenos 1 was 17%, another 21%, next one was 30% and the last one was 39% and I cloned each one and I like the 17% because the other ones were to strong but I didn't test them and I didn't know what they were.
Today is a special day because im including 4 Alien OG females and 1 Alien OG male with the addition of an autoflower plant. I put the Alien OG seeds into water to germinate on May 8th and 4 days later one of them sprouted from the coco and by May 17th they were ready to start vegging but they grew very slowly and there now 72 days old and that is why you need to start some of your seeds 6-8 weeks or longer before putting them outside unless you want to grow smaller plants. Currently 60 gallons of nutrient solution is just enough for a few days of watering but id rather there be a 100-200 gallons of nutrient solution mixed up. This impacts my decision on growing additional plants because I don't want to use more nutrient solution. It looks like alot of vegetation but the large ones don't yield alot when flowering in September and October, they yielded very little the last time flowering in my climate and that means they absolutely would need a greenhouse. The mornings are quite cold now and August is also very cold in the mornings and requires sweaters, I think the hydroponic lighting industry has sales because of how cold it gets. The weather right now isn't warming up until 11 am and that means theres alot of sub optimal temperatures but it also does get pretty warm during the day.
Something interesting about the PPFD requirements are that on the farthest point under a light you can read 90 PPFD while you may see 500-600 PPFD at higher readings but they veg a similar speed under the 90 PPFD but not as fast so you need to move them around to get similar growth but your still able to keep the plants the same size but under the sunlight at 1600 PPFD your experiencing drops in temperatures and shade that may effect the growth of the plants, the plants have a level cap on how many inches they can grow in a week without adding increased co2 levels or growing with high pressure air pumps or high pressure aeroponics or high flow RDWC systems. If you purchase a light your all of sudden getting 18 hours of sunlight at 78-80f, they are somewhat better in August and September if your climate is cold from 8 pm to 11 am.
Personally I would like to see a higher image quality for photographing, if you can get a higher than 12.6 MP camera for image quality that would be great. It is a file size discussion, I always like a better image quality. My phone isn't that small, its a really huge file size is all that im thinking but ive seen some better image quality. I like these files but there not really an identical image of what im looking at necessarily.
On Day 99 Veg I decided to prune the interior of the plants and though this is normally worked on in the first two weeks of flower and it does visually look less appealing than growing them with all of small branches, its alot of cleaning up later on at this size. It was about a 5 gallon bucket full of branching and leaves and that looks like about half of the plant but because they stretch so much it doesn't really matter. I try to prune to 6 nodes but you can prune to 4 nodes and ive seen some people prune theres all way to the end of the branch and only leaving the thicker stem sizes but in RDWC with co2 some of those lower branches get really large but they don't in coco or soil and that means they don't prune at all. I know all of the smaller interior sizes are good for hash material but I don't need to make any so it doesn't matter. Id describe it as that there see through now, its quite dramatic to see the comparison and because of that im thinking that because the jungle is denser and has a thicker canopy that is effecting the mind and how you see it and that means if you live in the desert you are absolutely missing out on that part of life, it should be there but it isn't but this plant does somewhat give you an idea of what part of the brain is being used to make you think that. Though these forests are somewhat safer than the jungle for wildlife, it does mean that you may think that the weather is to cold here and that might mean the jungle is better to live in but it can be slightly more stressful because of the wildlife. Its visually not seeming grown in thick enough after the prune, some of the effect of seeing the plants is gone, its really strange that it does that and the brain is saying why is it like that, it shouldn't be like that.
As far the strength goes of the edibles, what I did was decarboxylate 8g of 25 micron hash and I used 500g of earth balance and I used water to reduce the flavor and color and simmered it on low for 3 hours, I then refrigerated it and was left with 300g of hash butter and 5ml was a strong dose but 2.5ml was a high pressure heart as in alot higher but im having some heart problems so I didn't use it. I put it in the freezer and threw it out before it expired because I couldn't use it.
The day before Week 15 the largest plants are getting pretty light of moisture after 3-4pm though you could probably water at 5pm its looking pretty close to them drying out with the temperatures in the 90's. Id prefer these to be in atleast 15 gallon containers right now but id prefer to use 20 gallon+ and 25 gallon is probably a good size for plastic pots but the most coco you would use is a 30-45 gallon container but if you had full sun all day long for 15 hours you might always use the largest size possible because they dry out and that means people are using 100 gallon containers. They might need to be alternated with nutrients and fresh if they dry out to fast or the fertlizers could build up in the coco and that is one of the reasons growing organic is a little easier to water outdoors, I can't say its better mixing up nutrients but it is easier to know whats in the medium because when reusing soil you don't always know whats left in it, there might be enough nutrients in it from the year before to veg them but they might start showing deficiencies at some point and it does take 4 weeks for organic fertilizers to breakdown unless your using guanos but im sure as soon as they see a yellow leaf there top dressing organic fertilizers and watering them in but that does require hand watering unless the dripper can wet the entire top part of the medium effectively, I also think that peat isn't a renewable enough resource but it is used and that does mean that top soil that looks good is able to grow cannabis and hold water with manures but they are making it better for the plants with peat moss but it isn't the best idea from an environmental view.
Were not sure when these Alien OG flower but It probably is a good idea to remove the male plant at some point because it does take 4-6 weeks for seeds to fully mature after pollination and though I could probably pollinate the Alien OG and make seed if they flower in August, it does need to be finished early October and its doubtful that the Rockstar could survive for 6 weeks after pollination. The wind travels in many directions but one male plant does contain hundreds of thousands of pollen grains. Id kind of like to make F2's of the Alien OG but that would mean that im not able to see how they perform flowered unpollinated because if it looks like a good plant that its worth keeping for awhile to grow again but that does mean that it takes 1 tray to keep it alive and another tray to keep another strain and then theres the additional energy expenditure to do that and that is sort of the reasoning to making seed. This does work for keeping a strain alive without it being to costly for a long period of time but you definitely would probably keep them smaller because these are really large plants to keep clones for and because its hot outside they needed to be watered frequently. Im pretty sure the F2 seed stock is a little more interesting to go through than using any of it.
At 11:30 am two of the plants are in the shade, at 11:40 am there is only one plant left in the shade and by 11:50 am all of the plants are unshaded. Its nice that they are pruned, theres about 6+ nodes on all of the branches and basically what happens here is that there easier to work with during flowing but it isn't necessary but it is always done if there are mite problems in the interior of the plants but that wasn't the problem at all, the problem is that they look better unpruned from the perspective that there visually stimulating to look at. One of the reasons to prune is that at harvest it is additional work to clean up the really small sizes, and with the amount of pruning ive done theres still going to be alot of small sizes that you could only run through a trimming machine or use for hash and it usually is alot to throw out and alot of people think that.
They're starting to get light at about 3pm so it is a good idea to water twice per day or increase the size of the container, i'll be adding trays to hold more water for the morning waterings and thats how 10 gallon containers work when you grow large plants in them. 11-12 weeks for veg on 10 gallon containers would be preferred.
The battery on my phone isn't that great, the photos aren't exactly what im looking at so that part is better but they are good, I think that if your planning on purchasing a new phone id buy a more expensive model if your using it for photography. I do know that the highest resolution cameras you can buy are very expensive, so those are usually not being used but if you can afford them you can purchase those aswell because cannabis is one of those plants that is photographed and viewed. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra isn't going to be as good for close flower photos as a Huawei P60 Pro but there are other phones with good cameras and some of them are more affordable.
It took 5% battery life on my cell phone to take and upload 11 additional photos and I think that does mean that you would like to purchase a more expensive phone but it is enough battery life to take photos. The images on the Huawei P60 Pro are very realistic looking, you can see alot of detail but in these images it looks green on black whereas in reality its all detailed. I do one log with this camera and then its like theres only so many people that can work and afford an expensive camera, it doesn't mean that I can show it. Ive only got a couple bags of used coco left to use to upsize the pots and im not spending anymore on these plants for medium unless its really important.
The reality is that if you can't get any seeds you can't get any plants and if there not heirloom varieties and there making them available for the next 100 years I don't know where the seeds are coming from or what they do. Its feels like a pretty small project that could be a huge amount of work.
With forest fire smoke in the air and the one male Alien OG plant being significantly smaller than the two largest females I am unsure how it will effect the the next generation of progeny but im assuming cannabis has survived with its genes intact for a very long time like this, it hasn't always been the best male plant. It doesn't matter if the Rockstar plant is the same pheno of the current plant after breeding because you'd need to keep the clone for a thousand years to keep the same plant. If you make 2000 seeds there used up after a few years by various people and they continue to the next generation of progeny, it doesn't matter if you made 30,000 seeds because there not necessarily better after 100 years.
These really are about seeing the detail in grass and camera quality, I can see detail between containers but as soon I look at the ferns the detail isn't there, your really seeing the image quality degrade at a certain distance, id like to see the detail in the entire image at this image size. Theres a certain level of clarity in the image that you can see in more expensive cameras that this camera isn't showing. The Huawei P60 showed a really realistic amount of detail even when compared, its expensive to make these phones affordable with decent cameras so it definitely is not a low level of image quality. There is a small difference in seeing the leaves from a distance, your obviously not able to see the detail but if you liked to see larger than 12.6 MP you would be spending alot more again.
One of problems with the height on these plants at this point is that if they grow another 27 inches and they stretch another 24 inches, they would end up close to 9 feet tall and thats where you don't necessarily want to grow plants this tall because there is alot of support needed. The netting probably would of needed to be extended larger and I also need to move them around to get more sunlight after the stretch period but I can keep growing them in this position and not move them around.
For complications on pruning for example I counted on one large branch 5 long branches 1 that was 3" and then 6 nodes, so if I only wanted those 6 nodes id remove the 5 long branches and possibly the 3" branch but they don't do that outdoors, its something ive only seen done indoors because I know that they only wanted to trim the 6 nodes and you can handtrim those 5 long branches but anything smaller than that is going to take a very long time to work on. Another branch below the 5 small nodes or 6 nodes theres a 3", 4" and 7" branch and then some longer branches below those have 7 node sites and thats where if its a ton growing you could leave the 5 or 6 nodes and remove all the lower branching and thats what they would hang up for harvesting, now I can't say that those lower branches aren't additional yield because they usually leave those branches. Another branch is 4 nodes and then 5 and 6 nodes are 2" long so those might of been pruned and another branch has like two really large long branches at the bottom but inbetween are really spindly and im not sure if you would prune those really solid long branches and the spindly or only the spindly and leave only the top 4 nodes or maybe 5 and 6. You would be pruning a significant amount of the plant doing that. Those longer branches are pretty hard to prune looking at them because the flower size can be handtrimmed, it would really be thinning out the canopy quite alot. If I pruned each large branch down to 4, 5 or 6 nodes and not including the 6-12 node range there would be alot of hand trimming but if you grew a plant that size and the buds filled out to a large size 4-5-6-12 looked good to trim on the plant. If you remove the fan leaves in the first week of flower for example you can prune 6-12 easily because there being covered up on this plant but on some of the larger branches there long enough or I could prune them in veg but it would be more difficult with the large fan leaves. Walking by the plant it looks better leaving 6-12 and thats why I don't want to prune them at all.
It was cloudy and not the warmest of weather so I put on a long sleeve shirt and I pruned about another 1/4-1/2 5 gallon bucket full of leaves and stems from the interior and any branching that wasn't quite reaching to the top canopy level and that brought me down to about 7-9 nodes per branch without counting each individual branch or removing any large branch from the plant. On the autoflower plant there is 1-3 and 1-4 flowers on the side branching and I only would really want to handtrim the end flower but I didn't prune them, so the theory is that on the Rockstar plants I could prune anything that is spaced enough that wouldn't form into a fullsize flower but that is alot of additional pruning and there isn't anything that shows that the flowers are larger on a pruned plant If you pruned 2-4 there isn't anything saying that 1 is larger because of that. The largest size was unpruned in smartpots and they were only receiving 1 side of light from a vertical bulb, the mites work on the interior leaves and thats usually a good reason to prune it. If you had a 1000 of these and you told a group of 60 people to prune to 4-6 nodes it would be alot of work to do. If you paid your workers 100 per plant, it would cost 100k and you'd be left with maybe 400k for nutrients and obviously your middle aged and your not making enough to pay more than few people to work. When there smaller plants your using a gallon per plant per day but right now your using double and maybe triple that amount so its almost impossible for the water table if theres a drought unless your connected to a huge reservoir and theres no way to determine if you are without trying. You can buy 10,000 gallon storage tanks but thats only good for a few days. 375,000 gallons is 30 feet in diameter and 72 feet high or 40 feet in diameter and 40 feet high, and that kind of makes it impossible to do anything more than hobby growing unless theres a large body of fresh water and those are some of the reasons why they don't do it.
Any similar or more complicated substances that were possible to make in the pharmaceutical industry were better than Cannabis for many reasons but some of them had some problems because they were only for research purposes, so there were thoughts that water conservation was the only possible solution to crop failures as in they didn't take any of the substances at all and there were discussions that this looks like a nice plant and it needs to pruned. The data shows that were so close to starving from our food supply that we can't have fun at all. Growing this plant is sort of fun but its mostly educational but it doesn't get an education because its not a really smart plant. Its easy to setup driplines with hole punches but the actual chemistry in making fertilizer is complicated and anything to do with plastic molds and building lighting systems is complicated. For 1000 plants you need pretty thick pipe and a 1000-4000gph+ inline pump depending on the dripper size, there might be a Venturi injection system before the filter with a valve to stop the flow of water so it only runs through the Venturi injection system and then after the filter it runs to the smaller lines and your drippers run off of those, it does look like they made it for trade installation but it is do it yourself aswell, theres a Venturi system possibly but if your organic you might not use one of those, theres definitely a pressure gauge and pressure release valves. You can use a smaller pump size if you put in valves to shut down different partitions of the garden. Im not sure what the ratio is for fertlizer injection into a system per 1000 gallons an hour, it might be 6 litres of AB mixed into a container with water and then injected into the system at a ratio, so if it was 1 gallon of fertlizer per 100 gallons of water than that 1 gallon would be 600ml of each A and B and additionally pro cal at 500ml, something like that or it might be 1 gallon mixed per 16 gallons as in 100ml AB in 1 gallon or 62 gallons with 6 litres AB. Im not sure if they use those because you need ph injection for water aswell but maybe that can be mixed into a Venturi or something similar, its probably a more expensive injection system in those expensive facilities. It would be expensive to buy 20,000 gallons of coco and 10,000 galllon water tanks that are mixed with pumps instead of fertilizer injection. If a plant takes up 16 square feet and if there are tall ceilings its probably 6000+ square feet of space that you would need or a 100x100 structure or maybe 200x100, a huge amount of space is needed to do that. They would use flat and boring landscape to do that because anything structure related is in the way of the scenery, in the US they don't really build in parks and theres not alot of forest so they build away from the park but some states are somewhat nicer, its really not as many trees as in its a small area in comparison and not populated. I did read that they said that you should use a separate injection system for each fertilizer because they can't be mixed together even though there not as concentrated as the label says and the more expensive systems did look better and it does look like someone else would set those up, there is complications with knowing what exactly to do with the pipes and valves.
The day before week 16 its raining quite alot and thats the kind of weather that you can see quite alot of in September but also it happens in August, I like that the autoflower plant is finishing early but these plants are somewhat artistic or autistic to grow or both depending on how you look at it.
(I was thinking about the pruning part alot during veg and I do think it is a better experience not pruning these plants, its visually to strong to prune them outdoors, you can but the part of the brain that it uses is quite demanding visually meaning that it really doesn't like seeing them pruned and that could be one of the problems with locating a population because it says it needs to see the dense growth.)
There was a thunder and rainstorm the day before week 16 and they were overwhelmed at the stalk support and one of plants fell over and was lying on the ground, the branches were ok but they could of used support at this time aswell so nets are useful and so are greenhouses or growing them smaller than this. I added rebar support but they probably need to be tied to the ground but I did tie the rebar to branches and additional rebar if it was sliding around, it isn't a great way but it does work if you tie the rebar from 3 or 4 directions because it can fall over in the container and branches can break.
The camera used is taking out of focus photos if it isn't in the middle of the day or late afternoon, we were happy with 5mp cameras at one point. I thought this phone took good photos but id always like to see a better photo. I am satisfied with the image quality during the day but the 6x zoom macro images on the camera were not very good but I was able to see the trichomes up close but it could be a clearer image, so id think someone would spend more on a phone than I did. Id like to see more detail in the tree bark and thats where I would want a more expensive camera as well. There are 3 more weeks of images for veg before the Rockstar starts flowering and im not sure when the Alien OG flowers but I did read that it finishes early October but it could be later. Phones are only sold in the millions of units so if you buy a new phone your not necessarily buying something that is in production as in its already been built and made, there may only be 100 million people that bought a certain particular phone and they didn't make anymore of that model.
The temperature in the morning is below 60 °F making it feel like its September and close to October, but were going to see some temperatures in the 90's during August so its not that time of year yet but it feels like it sometimes.
It is saying I would of needed to spend double on a phone to get 50MP but mostly I wasn't sure if that was enough or not, this was the least that you could spend and it is somewhat the same, id definitely like to have a high res macro imagery option. There not necessarily affordable to replace them. It isn't saying that I need more mega pixels, im not sure of the difference.
The rebar was sliding around slightly on 3 of the plants so I gathered some stone and used that to pull the rebar with a long piece of twist tie, it would be better to build upwards with 4 stakes and cross pieces but I only had rebar. The equionox might effect if I move these plants around to get more sun, the year I grew these before they needed to be moved around but they were in 45 gallon geopots with alot of support to hold them in place so I didn't.
The autoflower plant is looking exactly the same as an indoor grown plant in structure and leaf ratio, I know some of them don't look like that but this one did. It probably means that your time is better spent growing alot of them, im not sure what the differences are in effects in comparison to the October finishers that may have a higher leaf ratio, all that I know is that the Rockstar plant was cloudy and substantially strong but didn't look like that in my climate, they need light deprivation.
I also think the Alien OG could get pretty large in two weeks if they continue to veg and if they stretch for 3 weeks after I might put them in larger containers and then there finishing to late again, so I couldn't really think about growing these strains without another month of growing season. That was kind of the reason why I regrew the Rockstar outdoors, it is interesting to watch finishing late in the season or not at all. There definitely not really growing out of the forestry industry because its not populated, I think its an exception to grow these, you see the shorter growing seasons and the colder climates, it feels like the earth is square and they can't make it any farther.
Day 117 I transplanted the Alien OG from #5 (these ones are 4 1/2 gallons) to #10 gallon and the root looked quite dry at 3pm but there was enough structure in the rootball to transplant and I wouldn't veg them longer in that container size because of the watering frequency. Im watering the Rockstar plants twice per day and there not getting full sun all day and sometimes they are in the shade, so you definitely would want to use larger containers but you can grow a very large plant in a 5 gallon bucket if you water frequently. Id prefer the Rockstar plants to be in 30 gallons at least but that would be around 120 gallons of coco and there 13.275 gallons per bag so your probably spending about 0 and then the containers and thats kind of the reason not to grow 6-12 large plants because it ends up being expensive to grow. What they usually do is find an area with good soil and they till it up and they add manure and organic fertilizers or they use fertilizer injection, its a really interesting idea that you can grow very large fruitful plants in coco but to acquire all of that coco is very expensive. After watering twice on all of the 10 gallon containers I used approximately 45 gallons of water but the Alien OG plants won't use as many gallons per day as the Rockstar plants but it was very hot today.
The sky is hazy in smoke from wildfires from far away and this happens not every year but it does happen quite alot, it is somewhat less visually to see than forestry and gardening outdoors can be an animal encounter and ive got lots of animals but mostly they don't bother me at all. The intensity of the sunlight is still good for growing cannabis but id rather it be a clear view of the mountains and a normal sunny day. It could be a traveling destination but mostly I think that people don't drive as much or as far when the conditions are really dry. The winter conditions aren't very good but it is beautiful to see the area but the climate is better with another month of growing season but I do like the October weather and thats the most I can see of it before thinking its nice to visit when the conditions are wetter. Theres about two weeks more of vegetative growth on these plants and that is the largest plant that id grow in a 10 gallon container.
I think the structure of the autoflower plant looks good, October does feel like a late finish but I do like flowering when its colder outside and experiencing a longer season.
The two largest plants fell over because they were top heavy in the wind with the rebar when the containers got dry, so I added more support stone. The last photo was somewhat out of focus and that does mean id want a better camera, so I took another photo of it and it looked the same so that does need a better camera and then I took few more photos, there decent quality when there in focus but not as good as some of the most frosty high res photos that ive seen.
My thoughts about growing during August or if the weather is cold are that grow tents are an option but probably only needed in cold weather with large spaces but I do think that they do work on dry wall and mylar installations regardless if they use tents or not. I think most of the concerns were with the amount of generation needed to run them. I don't think the horticulture industry thinks that bulbs didn't work they did and mostly I don't think people want to run them at all with the LED light selection, I think the time period where these bulbs were used was a really long time in industry and its kind of like getting a solar car when you buy an LED light and the bulbs are pretty straight forward if they stop working the glass is unaffected but now you can touch them and hold your hands on the lights and thats a safety thing that isn't really a huge issue but that is the new selection of lights, its weird not seeing that generation and im saying that because it wasn't easy to design and build these. Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium bulbs were so reliable that now your thinking how many smart people it would take to manufacturer a diode chip, it took the most intelligence to build a bulb and if its the 1800's, absolutely no clue what that is or how to build it. Xenon is found in the atmosphere of Jupiter at 2.6 times the amount that would be found in the Sun but if your super smart you could of made an LED diode chip and skipped the entire history of High Pressure Sodium. The first one that leaves is the Metal Halide because your using vaporized mercury but it also needs eye protection and there visually better but thats not what the LED discussion is about, its about not being smart enough to build that. There is no possibility in a million years that I could figure out how to build any of it.
More than 65 million years ago this is a lake and its very warm and im eating some ferns.
How would I describe a Xenon bulb, you can put your hand 6" away from it, you can put your hand on the shade and hold your hand on it without it being to hot, you can brush up against the bulbs with your clothing when there on but not your skin but you don't need to because only a few people have touched them when they were on. How would I describe the heat from the Sun, anything metal is to hot to touch on a hot day, anything that can magnify can create a super hot beam of light. Do you continue to use them? not if you own led lights probably not because they require alot of cooling, do they need to be air cooled with glass? probably not if there Hortilux, the cheaper bulbs need to be replaced often instead of only once per year or two years if you don't want to spend anything on them because there expensive but it is recommended to change bulbs every year and LED lights are 50,000 to 100,000 hours instead of 15,000 hours. If you were pruning underneath an HPS bulb and it was close to your face and hair it feels somewhat safe but it is better to turn them off.
Day 124 Veg I pruned again removing half of a 5 gallon bucket full of stems and leaves, it was mostly small stems behind the leaves and interior fan leaves. I didn't do any node counting but I must of removed atleast 1 or 2 more nodes up the branches. This would be alot of work during flower so it is good that its getting worked on before flowering but it isn't necessary but the small containers would need additional watering. Once again there very airy to look at and it mostly is unpruned because of how it looks as in most outdoor plants probably aren't pruned up like this. I also pruned the Alien OG but it is also something I wouldn't necessarily work on because of how it looks.
Ive had two days of rain and all of the support stone on the plants held them up and the temperatures have been dipping into the 40's and that has caused the autoflower to turn purple on the upper leaves, I am once again enjoying the climate with a clear sky and fresh mountain air.
(Also if you do this make sure to use a stronger material than the twist rolls because they snap when the wind gusts are to strong but that year they didn't)
The weather has been pretty cold, you'd really want to flower these atleast a month ago with light deprivation but thats how it is in this climate. There are alot of inventions that are used in this climate like it or not, it seems were always trying to move beyond what is considered the normal for safety, if something doesn't work exactly the way they'd like it, its probably replaced. The amount of pruning I do is alot but id have to clean all of it up after harvest anyways, if it was alot they might leave it to the frost and move on with harvesting, its not necessarily possible to do anymore than the main tops without pruning any of the smaller sizes, in history they used the smaller sizes because there wasn't alot of it but now theres so many people that work that they get pruned in any large amount. I used to never prune at all and I don't think it effects the cola size at all, ive seen the hugest colas on plants grown that were unpruned (I didn't grow them), im not sure on that one. It might of been the PK booster or the breathable containers that had something to do with it or the RDWC systems (im not using those systems, no real experience on phythium).
Day 129 I looked at the pistils and I can see that the growing tips have two sets of pistils and theres a few days left in August, so there really close to flowering now.
Day 130 If you look at the growing tip theres two nodes really close together and im counting 5 sets of pistils, these are looking like there starting to flower at Less than 14 hours of light but closer to 14 hours than 13 hours.
There is one Alien OG male plant that because there flowering so late and it takes 4-6 weeks for seeds to form and finish after being pollinated im thinking it best to remove it at some point, you would need a heated greenhouse to finish the seed in my climate, it could freeze the middle of October and your probably not seeing developed male flowers until to late into September. Its about 4 weeks into flower that the male pollen is released so that isn't enough time for these plants to finish seed production. I'll probably keep watering it until later, ive already cloned it.
Id also like to say that I like large open spaces, I enjoy being able to move around while gardening but the heating costs of doing so is to high and if you buy a grow tent your probably going to think that the larger tent is better. It seems to be what is a fact about plants and lights.
(Also if you do this make sure to use a stronger material than the twist rolls because they snap when the wind gusts are to strong but that year they didn't)
The day before week 19 there was a rainstorm and there was a strong wind and I found one of the plants lying on the ground with the twist tie snapped on one of the stones. I reconnected the twist tie and added an additional line for support.
All of the plants are flowering now for around 4 days to a week possibly, i'll know if its 21 days. Its possible to make it to Day 50-57 Flower but if it freezes to early in October it could only be Day 41+ Flower, the Rockstar Kush likes to flower for 56-67+ days and not needing to flower for 80-100 days but you can if you want to but it isn't necessary.
Day 136 The Rockstar plants look like they need to be pruned again and id prune them in the beginning of flower and sometime close to week 2 or around that time, some people prune a week into flower. I think theres alot of branching that is large but isn't as large as the main stem and along those branches after you remove the medium sized buds on the side branching that can be hand trimmed, there are alot of small sizes that your not going to want to trim by hand. Im not an expert on pruning, I only know that the small branching is to time consuming to trim. I look at it as the large size, medium size and then theres a huge portion after removing that and usually it gets stripped off really fast and all of it breaks apart, it takes a long time to remove them individually by hand and thats usually not done unless your trying to preserve the small size portion and not break it up into smaller pieces. The Alien OG plants are looking a few days ahead of the Rockstar, they might be Day 7-10, im not really thinking 14 days in flower but it might be closer to that so id definitely think that would be a late flowering strain and the Rockstar would be way later making it a greenhouse growing strain.
I did end up pruning on day 136 and removed 1/4 of a 5 gallon bucket from the Rockstar plants and I also pruned some of the smaller branching on the Alien OG plants but they don't look better after the pruning as in kind of bare on the lower stalks and branching so it was visually better before pruning and thats where I kind of give up on pruning outdoor plants. Today I also mixed up my first reservoir of flower nutrients and those are also fed at 6ml/gal AB with 5ml/gal Pro Cal but I did feed them fresh water today, ive been feeding them fresh when the reservoir has been low and the pump runs dry.
Some people are superstitious about this plant, in the dark of night im there.
I had two more plants that fell over and one of the twist ties snapped again and those were supported on two sides, so I added support for 4 sides on each plant so they don't fall over. I did end up breaking another large branch and almost another really large branch and three small branches were snapped. Theres no way to actually to figure this out and see the plants grown like this without doing this but it probably is easier to try and put the rebar in the ground, the fact is that they don't usually fall over but if the wind is strong enough and blowing in the right direction they can fall over. Also people really like seeing the rock formations and that is a visual effect, you see it in landscaping. Im only thinking that the grass, trees and rocks are mostly what is causing it, people like natural materials. Im not sure what that is.
The really huge hurdle with growing in September in my climate is that the averages are only in the 70's during the day up until the 16th and then they drop into the 60's so what that means is that they need to start flowering beginning of August because they don't flower quite the same in the 60's, its a really long cold season finishing them in October but its the most you could see of this plant as in its the farthest distance you could go, its the highest possible amount of time you could grow the plant, its the most cold you could show the plant growing as in its not wasted time im gaining visual stimulation mentally.
Theres 11 days of warmer weather in September but that means I have to go through 7 months of cold to get 4 1/2 months of warmer weather and thats where I am sad about life not being about gardening. Where you see population growth its in the 60's in October and doesn't freeze on average for all of the months, its not that we don't like the cold, we just don't need to. What were mostly seeing here is freezing averages from November through to April but no population growth. The temperatures of the upper mantle are 440 °F to 1700 °F and its 670km but the crust is 100km, so its possible to live here as a subterranean civilization and supply geothermal power. There is a missed connection on growth. Its a few months on the surface before returning to civilization.
Theres only a few climate zones that are actually warm enough and theres alot of it thats cold in July and August. Its almost like I can't see it as being possible without accepting the colder weather. It seems if the days reach the low 20's it doesn't seem that warm, i'll put on a sweater and its getting colder than that, its gotta get up to 26 °C or 78 °F. If your freezing for 3 months your probably thinking 2 more months is probably not ok to keep doing and were looking at 6 months of it. Its nice you get the Spring and September cooling to October but you gotta be able to go somewhere else seems to be what it is but they like it colder but it needs geothermal or something easier to connect to. It needs an AI system to backup the the average intelligence because these projects are pretty difficult.
Both strains look like there flowering similar to each other but the structure of looking at the Alien OG looks advanced. Once again id like a better photo but im not taking alot of photos other than these. I like the weather in September but I do need to say it does get to cold in October, its a fact that there was some sort of issue with locating people in these nicer areas as in it was an expensive thought, at the time it wasn't as populated and the cost of living wasn't as high, there wasn't any knowledge of the other climates, it was assumed that it was ok for people to do that.
If the Alien OG plant drops pollen in a week than there could possibly be 4 weeks for seeds to mature but if it doesn't than its probably to cold to go past October 19th without it possibly snowing and freezing at the latest.
Im thinking the autoflower is around 9 weeks and strains take at most 10 weeks, id say that its probably done but for photography i'll take more photos of it. It reached that height at around Day 62, they say these autoflower strains finish in 50-70 Days from seed but this one grew slowly and took quite awhile to start flowering. I started feeding it fresh water 4 weeks ago and thats when I thought it was to early to harvest.
Day 143 The Rockstar plants look like there showing some structure with a flowering time similar to the Alien OG. I did have a full size Bear run up with my back turned at about 30ft carrying someones garbage but as soon as I turned around it ran right off, so that is something that happens here that doesn't happen to other people who are located differently, ive never had a Bear attack me but ive encountered quite alot of them here as in not every year but it was twice this year and the first time it was more than one. It is kind of a safety net. It doesn't mean that a person needs fencing but it does mean you need care a little bit less. You can have Solar energy and running water and warmer weather all year round or can accept that its enough and this was all it was, you walk up to these plants on a sunny day and there more visually stimulating than a fir tree, but when you experience the spring runoff and warmer summer your thinking its better but its really only you looking at this plant.
Day 118 (September 10th) At the end of the day as the sun was leaving the plants in the shade I checked the male Alien OG plant and there were a few pollen sacks open, now pollen tends to fall right below the plant and blow away with the wind and can travel quite a distance but it doesn't necessarily reach a plant when it does that, I only have a few days that it can do that and then I have to remove the male plant because it will be to cold in October to finish the seeds outdoors without a greenhouse. Some strains do look quite similar and probably this was something that has happened before and a strain might be a similar mix as another but named differently because of it, it only takes a few pollen grains and you might find something special in your plants.
Day 119 (September 11th) I collected the pollen on my fingers from the male Alien OG and put it on the Rockstar and Alien OG phenos but only the tips of a couple branches on each of the plants, i'll be removing the male plant by September 15th, so we basically have 40 days at the most for seeds to develop as of today and any other branches pollinated would have to finish earlier but not allowing this plant to pollinate anything past the 15th. If your growing outdoors right now, there is a male plant that has a small chance of pollinating one of your plants.
Something id like to say about this container size is that the stalk size growing in the 45 gallon geopots was bigger than the 10 gallon but these plants are very tall, if you want bigger and taller plants grow in larger containers than this. Were not reaching the 8ft that you'll see on other plants. Its probably missed that I grew 6 or 7 in 45+ gallons with two months of indoor veg, id need to mix organics up or get a really large reservoir and its not really needed as in its only something to do. 4 in 45 gallons is going to use 60 gallons everyday when its hot and so thats ok but if you want the right experience of walking around them, you'd want 6 or 7 that are 7 to 8 feet or taller, beyond that is diminishing returns on the visual stimulation of looking at the plants but in my scenario I thought that 12 was probably the most I could see to work on outdoors without spending alot of time watering, these need to be watered twice per day when its warm and sunny but the Alien OG were ok with the 10 gallon size.
September 12th - Day 120 I decided to remove the male plant because if the seeds take 40 days to mature then there isn't a point to keep it growing and I do have a clone of it so im able to use it in the future and if I collected pollen farther away from these plants it could possibly reach your plants. I'll try to keep anything to do with pollen indoors, it is one of those subjects that id keep separate from other plants and it doesn't take a high wattage light to make seeds. If I did keep this plant going I could collect the pollen but I don't have a use for it right now but it is viable for years if dried and stored in a freezer. There is also alot of seeds for sale that makes it somewhat easier to buy seeds than it is to spend the money to make them and usually for people there is enough money for a 10 pack of seeds if someone hasn't grown for awhile, it might not be every year but you can make them and grow your own year after year. Im not even sure if the cold weather effects seed maturation time, the season is probably supposed to be in the 70-80 °F range for all of September which it isn't and somewhat warm for all of October and not seeing low temperatures until November possibly but thinking that the amount of geothermal required is alot, you need programs that build, im probably not past ancient times in intelligence. I think its a stem and it creates things from a source of intelligence, its not actually that smart. It could start with a small idea and build upon it, it doesn't necessarily go from 0 to aerospace, its working at a cellular level as its writing and building upon ideas, as in it didn't use me for engineering, it used a different stem.
They look around 21 days into flower and there probably finished there stretch period and it looks like the pollination was successful but not alot of seeds but there should be some of each phenotype.
I was thinking that the camera quality could be alot better for distance photos of the leaves but thats what were using, the close ups are good but not detailed enough on the macro imagery. Please buy a better camera than im using, it is a really smart image quality but comparisons make the difference in thought patterns.
The Alien OG plants reached 68" on the tallest branch but there about 1/3 of the size probably of the Rockstar so if you want large plants you do need veg them a couple months before May.
The only reason that these plants are here is because of what happened to them, if nothing had happened to them and they were healthy they wouldn't of been posted, I only need some privacy to post. Last week we did get within 30 ft of a running bear but mostly your pretty sure its going to run away and not bother you but that is the reality of wildlife and any sort of venture into these landscapes, you don't need the fenced area but you do need to be a risk taker.
Due to the fact that I like the visual effect of the sun rays I took more photos. Please note that the bark is visually to expensive to live in the climate, I do know it does that and you'd need to migrate millions of people closer to the equator because it does that, it makes you think alot of the design, I do not need to travel to bodies of water to be happy about the area but having water is important, and the colors of the rock are something to look at for people, it is a travel destination but the winters are difficult and cold so keep that in mind if you visit once or twice per year which alot of people do not and that is a technical difficulty with seeing this area, its to hard to locate here without something that works out of area that is successful, it was challenging to make this part work. If you think the camera needs to take better photos please spend more on a camera, I know it isn't showing at the highest quality of imagery.
I walked away for a few mins and one of the main limbs on the middle plant was broken with only the outer layer still intact, so I resupported it tightly with twist ties and used some black tape and hopefully that is enough to fix it but sometimes it doesn't work, I did end up tieing all of the main branches of all of the plants up as fast as I could to the rebar but I think there to wide of plants so I think that it would be easier with more than one piece of rebar or using netting with 4 posts but 1 piece of rebar does work. So it is a good idea to support the main branches before week 3 of flower if possible but it doesn't always happen if your busy doing other things and that is kind of where not everyone grows outdoors every year. This year id say it wasn't a great idea because I was conscious of the bears in the area but people do work on them every year and greenhouses feel somewhat safer to work in, so if you have alot of plants to work on that would be a better idea but I like what the garden looks like without a greenhouse.
The next day the branch and all of its leaves were drooping in the sunlight, so it looks like I couldn't save it that time but sometimes it works but ive never seen it work on a really large branch yet, only a smaller branch. I tied up the remaining Alien OG branches but there pretty flexible and sturdy in comparison to the Rockstar plants, they break really easily as in im not sure if that is an earth plant or if something recoded it because it wasn't able to grow a strong branch system but im also not sure if the Alien OG branches break under weight and need support if there fertilized in a warmer climate. I like the size of the Alien OG plants but there definitely not quite the same experience of growing them, its very obviously a different plant but I would say that the Alien OG plants are probably better in a greenhouse because they are looking like there finishing later in the season. I also harvested the autoflower plant but it doesn't feel like you can put fuel in your tractor, theres an experience to mineral and fruit harvesting where its rewarding and thats quite obviously not present in this current technological age, alot of people think if anything is rewarding it can be a positive experience but we've learned how to allocate resources to make things easier and more cost effective but at the expense of not being to able to continue a life like that but seed harvesting is still something that has been rewarding for people involved and probably clones aswell in some instances but its pretty much about the new features that they've added and less about what I may like.
Ive also noticed that the node spacing on the Alien OG main branches are alot closer together while the Rockstar plants are much more spaced, thats a little different when your looking at it.
It does look like this year is going to be warmer than average so that probably means that there will be more growth on the colas than the previous time that I grew the Rockstar plants outdoors, they need to reach around Day 46 with warmer weather. We might get to Day 32-34 and then the temperatures are going to drop significantly and thats where were going to see smaller growth than what you would normally see.
What I said the last time I grew these was this
September 12th - Day 22 Flower - There are forest fires and to much smoke in the sky so these would be better indoors.
September 17th - Day 27 flower - The sun is filtered through the smoke and is only slightly bright on the leaves but almost dim and the growth is miniscule.
September 20th - Day 30 Flower - These are way to small as in more like 21+ days and the weather is 19 celcius at best but the smoke has cleared.
September 24th - Day 25-34 Flower - Today was rainy and the next two days are also cold and rainy as in under 60f and after that were supposed to get some sun at 60-68f.
September 29th - Day 30-39 Flower - They look behind but if they fill in for the next 10 days because we have temperatures in the the low 70's it could turn out ok but im still thinking it needs till November to really finish and the nights are cold enough for purple leaves so that could slow things down.
October 1st - Day 31-40 Flower - There starting to really take shape even though there small.
That was my conclusion on growing this strain year after year outdoors here but this year looks like its going be better.
I was standing next to the Alien OG plants and there was a strong wind and one of them blew over onto the ground so I got some small black pegs that are similar in design to the rebar and if you want to look at it as an object of many dimensions you are very small now to the Alien creating this because its obviously requiring some automation to keep it running as in the books are being read and the information is being applied is absolutely looking like its being automated somehow because the information is difficult to remember and is possibly beyond what a human brain can possibly do or think of. It really looks like a stem of information to me, some of the weather patterns are to hot to work in and thats a limiting factor on if the job is being done or not. There were some thoughts that the timeline wasn't quite making alot of sense. The smith wasn't smart enough to invent it. The idea you can generate electricity from lighting strikes by generating hydrogen from water is an interesting thought but how do you build it, how do you open space to another space, how do you break the invisible barrier from this space to another space, how could you build something like that without outside help, it is impossible. 1 lighting bolt could generate 10 gigawatts and thats 10 million kilowatts if thats what that actually was, the thought that you could use that energy in batteries is an interesting thought but how often do you get lightning, how do you get the batteries to the lightning. There would be software that would open a portal to where there was active lighting and somehow we'd divert it through the portal and there would be a high enough energy exchange, possibly hydrogen produced from the water or heat and that hydrogen would be used to generate electricity and charge the batteries but to invent the technology requires a different intelligence. Theres alot of different ways to harvest energy to finish this strain but if you figure that you can grow tons of autoflowers in the summer and not harvest energy because they don't expire that quickly is a thought of where to make money in energy and lighting fixture sales. If you liked to talk about this, its 2000 lights for 430k-780k depending on the light and then they resale in some markets, it isn't a small plant.
There was some rain on Day 151 and because it is cloudy outside the temperatures are only 62 °F and that is cold weather and requires you to dress warm and that makes September not a great growing month here and theres only 12 days left in the month and October gets very cold. Why do that for millions of people, I wouldn't do it because of that fact, you need warmer September weather.
Another cold day today and tomorrow as well and the forecast is saying that theres only three more days that are possibly warm and that is not good enough to grow this strain outdoors without considering its probably only a 1/4 of the yield and it doesn't look as good especially because there is going to be some rain. My thoughts are that its difficult to really change the landscape with greenhouses to accommodate these plants and at some point they might need a fence if theres alot of wildlife but not necessarily, these are hard times to ask for anything, it wasn't handed out as in I couldn't even read it because it didn't make any sense, I wasn't able to make logic of it. I couldn't make something out of this because I couldn't understand it. All I know is that you need a dehumidifier and a large space to dry cannabis and if you don't have that you can't grow alot of it which I don't and it becomes one of these tasks that is not needed to be done anymore, I feel im only available as a worker at this point but there aren't any shortages and you can't apply anything because its one the less useful things that ive learned and im not sure what else to learn because im somewhat slow on learning complicated tasks, and ive never had the opportunity to assemble anything complicated. Cannabis was one of those tasks that anyone of any level of intelligence could work on and if there wasn't work it was something people could work on but now it isn't.
The day before Week 4 they look like they would of needed to of built more structure on them and its already pretty cold outside but there has been sunny weather today and there might be warm weather tommorrow but after that its below 70 °F in the forecast and i'll see some days in the 60's but then it'll drop down into the high 50's and very quickly into the low 50's and thats not great weather for finishing either one of these strains outdoors here, you need a climate controlled greenhouse with lighting systems to finish these to look there best but its still strong cannabis that is great for hash that might be to hard to use because of its strength because trichome profiles aren't that determined by 4-12 hours of sunlight per day, they can do less and finish in the cold. I personally couldn't of used the scissor without saying it was the same or similar or really strong, there might of been a faster heart rate but I couldn't be for sure, might hurt a little if theres a problem with the aorta. The edibles have to much strength, you'd need be careful or it could over expand as in to much blood flow and constriction, a real screen on eating those and probably the reason that it wasn't used but if your healthy and have no heart issues it can be vaporized and its yet to be determined if the edibles are safe. Im pretty sure they would need to stop eating it. It is not finishing like it should, it does what it says it does to the weather and climate as its not finishing, it is reflecting upon itself, this was what it does, it wasn't saying the climate was weak, it was saying its was strong.
The differences in watering are that before I was watering twice per day to keep the containers from drying and now I didn't water at all yesterday and they barely needed it today and I probably could of gone two days in a row where I didn't water but if it was warm they would of needed to be watered twice per day.
The weather is going to be in the 60's after today for a few days and then drops into the 50's, they finish differently under these colder temperatures. The sun is also lower in the sky now, so if theres any trees which there is so its lower down and more covered with shade during the day. It really needs light deprivation because of that, you would want them a month ahead atleast, they were good with finishing last week. I do like to watch it flower out to finish though because it does feel more like a fall/winter weather finish and that is interesting to watch but not that practical but if its a 1/4 of the yield then a thousand on a drip is going to be the most hash you could make or in a greenhouse thats heated you'd be pretty happy with that finish. They didn't make it a job to do thats all, its not there. To do thousand clones is a time consuming task and the power consumption to keep large plants is more than you'd want to spend.
The next day was warm and sunny but tomorrow is in the 60's and its unlikely that i'll see any warm days in October but it has happened before. The way these finish is that it would be a very good yield if one of these large plants produced a 1/4 lb. and it probably isn't, with good weather conditions you could yield a lb. but that isn't going to happen and they are going to look quite unfinished looking in structure and the pistils are only going to stay white but the trichomes are going to reach cloudy if it isn't to cold but it isn't the look that you would see normally but they do work if they finish Day 52-56 of flower, you can harvest this strain early but its usually later.
The last time I grew these outdoors there were some temperatures in the low 70's sometime around September 29th but after October 9th it was weather in the 50's and cloudy and wet.
I dried the autoflower enough to use it in a vaporizer and it was the same strength for someone who doesn't use it at all, but really only for music as in its hard to tell the difference in strains but not a really a good response on imagery from the screen, it might of had to of been like a 9/10, it is a female plant it doesn't work that well. The Rockstar Kush has had a strong response on imagery, this autoflower plant didn't and that means the content might of had to of been different and alot times people aren't going to change content to get it to work. I would of replaced that autoflower with this Rockstar Kush plant if that was the difference.
Currently there is nowhere that I can grow this strain outdoors with temperatures above the low 60's and mostly there in high 50's to low 50's to finish, its basically a greenhouse and heated or its not going to be warm enough. It isn't really an indoor strain but it isn't a good enough weather forecast to say it isn't grown with heating. You gotta grow them far south and thats relocating plants but not necessarily people unless theres a fire season which there is but does it mean that they need energy costs to heat, yes it does.
With the weather being how it is, the original hybrid of the autoflower without being an autoflower reviewed highly, it definitely couldn't of been weaker even if it was a lower thc percentage. Im not sure whats wrong with the screens and imagery, it would need more information to connect, it wasn't connecting like you'd think. Im not saying that I can eat the edibles of the Rockstar and I knew it definitely wasn't going to be like that, those are not my expectations on these strains but they are strengths that had a use reason, but im not saying that its usable long term because there isn't enough information. The 2nd time vaporizing the same bud it was strong enough and I needed to lay down and especially without listening to music this time and I did think that if there wasn't anything else but autoflowers it would get used in the same way and probably feels the same. Im not able to feel a difference on strength when I don't use it at all.
Its been cold and rainy and I haven't needed to water them at all and because there is going to be more rain and cold, it doesn't look like I need to fill up my reservoir with nutrients again after emptying it because the last time I grew these it looked like I could of started feeding them freshwater October 1st because there were nutrients left in the leaves, Day 35-56, should be all fresh water but if your running to Day 60+ It could be Day 40-100.
The day before Week 5 and its in the low 50's and raining but we've had weather maps where its warm during this time of the year, it isn't every single year thats its this cold but its not consistent enough to grow anything that doesn't start flowering beginning of August or earlier. You'll live your entire life thinking that this plant is the reason unless you keep it separate from that thought, id like a warmer season with similar vegetation is something ive felt but that usually isn't what your seeing if theres infrastructure. I think its difficult to communicate that this was something that I wanted to see in the future, I didn't want to see the mountains erode into dust, its difficult to see it as its not the forest fire season because we like living with lots of vegetation and trees but the wildlife put it on hold and so it doesn't say its a reality for the future but it felt like it should of been but 7 months of cold weather.
I tried to add a week on flowering and it set it as this week and I added photos to this week of flower and theres also problems with uploading photos and I had to look through these photos and delete the ones that I uploaded but it also deleted everything that I wrote for this week.
What I was talking about was how the weather was and how I wasn't able to grow this here without encountering wildlife. Im not enjoying the upload problems with photos on this website, I expected that this part would work. if any of this content is to restrictive for your tastes please leave the website because it bothers if I can't see it. I know its visually to stimulating and im not being productive enough but I can't say anything else about this area.
I also was talking about how these plants are mostly in the shade when its sunny but if theres morning sun they can get an hour of direct sunlight. I also was talking about UV radiation effecting trichome density and how trichomes are to protect the plants and how that probably isn't effecting the thc strength as much as you'd think. I was also wondering if these plants store photosynthesis from early flower or if there constantly using the increased light levels in flowering and how that effects trichome density.
The weather hasn't been very warm and the growth that your seeing isn't alot, there are a few days of warmer weather but then temperatures are going to be quite cold.
I did enjoy growing this many large plants outdoors but if they were larger I might think it was only a visual effect. I didn't really think I needed to grow twice as many of them as this unless they were being used for something. There are uses for this plant, it has been useful before. Its not a fruit bearing tree but it does have that appeal to growing it, but it does take alot longer to grow fruit trees.
These are starting to look like something that can grow and finish with some warmer weather in October but id like them to be a month earlier but I do think they look usable in the lower temperatures.
Fast forward a few days and theres only 12 days left of weather that its not going to freeze, there is no longer anymore warm weather but there might be a couple days that its above 60 °F. Its going to be a very low yield after drying but im satisfied with what they look like.
(These strains didn't quite make it year after year because some years its cold early October so your not able to make it past 30 days of flower neccessarily, this was where I thought it was greenhouse only mostly if they finish this late. What this means is that id need leave the country for another for these to yield 4 ounces with a high nutrient and water consumption, I now could only grow something that finishes early and yields 4 ounces, im no longer able to make the impression that I can do that.)
They look really good with the eyesight but the camera doesn't show it that well, I think it doesn't show size and 3D imagery and depth that well but it is enough to see the plant, id think it would be alot better growing it and seeing it yourself. The website isn't uploading imagery easily.
These plants are now finishing in cold weather only, its not a reason to not grow this plant here but it is alot of thought to keep it here. It is better but it is expensive to keep it here, its somewhere that id consider a travel destination but not a relocation from a warmer climate unless its paid for.
If you don't want to keep all of the photos because of server space you can choose which ones to keep but for now you can show a few extras, its mostly documentation on the climate and plant.
I took some additional photos from later in the day but the camera is finding it very difficult to capture the detail with the sun glare. So far some of the photo quality is great but I can see myself buying a better camera.
The only problem with thinking about this plant and how late it finishes was that it meant that it couldn't be any colder but it also meant that the area that it was warm all of sudden became very small and unusable and I couldn't think of any reason why a civilization couldn't be subterranean but with access to the surface. I all of sudden couldn't make it any colder than this and I looked at the satellite imagery and I couldn't quite find the landscape designs as good and if they were it was only a small area but what resources were there, so I had to say it was for everyone to see but I couldn't do it.
Ive seen a few yellow lower leaves but there not really yellowing fast enough, you could feed them fresh water for 4 weeks if you lived in a warmer climate.
The seeds are forming in areas that I didn't pollinate by hand but on the stems but there are some branches of each pheno that seeded and im not sure if i'll need to move them under a light to finish as the temperatures drop.
As far as how the autoflower plant that I grew was, I had a really difficult time thinking about the subterranean civilization idea while using it, its finding ideas and imagery difficult. The second time vaporizing the same bud it wasn't strong enough on the visuals and it really wasn't working that well. Anything that you would experience with a strong edible wasn't working with the autoflower after vaporizing it a second time, it really didn't get close enough.
October 17th The Rockstar plants are looking closer to finishing, they've got alot of structure and they really just need that 5 to 16 days to really say these are finished and that means it is the earliest that id think about wanting to harvest these.
It took me 3 1/2 to 4 hours to remove all of the fan leaves without taking a break and it takes awhile to actually harvest the plants but im not doing that until the temperature is almost 0 °C at night and there probably isn't going to be alot of good sizes to trim by hand because alot of it is very small. It isn't a very high yield if I only want the sizes that can be hand trimmed and thats mostly because its a flower that is meant to be displayed based on its size and not the function. The sizes are so small that if they were 1lb plants at the most indoors, these probably couldn't be higher than a 1/4 of that amount. The autoflower plant that looked like it was a large size but was not dense in comparison to an indoor grown plant only yielded 0.9 ounces of good size flower and 0.1 ounces of really small size. If you think about how expensive the coco would of been, the nutrients and the amount of time spent, there heirloom tomato plants or they were at one point if you consider that you can grow alot more veggies and fruit than cannabis if they can use it and thats why it was a good idea, but it might be more work than one person wants to do because your all of sudden lifting and not carrying lighter items.
There were difficulties photographing with cloudy conditions with the camera, it did take a better photo with sunlight shining on the plants.
The next day I cleaned up all of the fan leaves and that took me awhile and it does look better with them cleaned up, it might be a better idea to put them in buckets as your working on them but this time I didn't.
I found some mold on one of the Alien OG branches and inside I found seeds but they were not completely finished so im going to move them into a warmer space to finish but i'll photograph them again at harvest and then move them, im not sure if they'll germinate.
The weather forecast was saying a few extra days before it freezes but now its for snowfall with above 0 °C temperatures but im not sure they can survive that and ive got seeds to finish so it is looking like im going to be harvesting these around 56 days of flower instead of 60+ days.
They looked like they could use an additional week or two but if the trichomes are cloudy its enough to call it a day, the Alien OG plants with some seeded branches and the seeded Rockstar branches are going to take longer to finish. It was a good year to grow these strains but they definitely could of used more sunlight and a greenhouse.
There are alot of photos in my grow diary and im sure the website only has so many bytes of space so if you need to free up space you can select the photos in the future and use those ones but for now there are alot of photos in my diary but its mostly scientific climate data about the plant. Whats important is that you know what it does when grown in cold weather.
After looking at it I think it is better to keep these photos in there own folders, they can take up alot of space. They fit in there own galleries and I didn't think I needed to make a diary next year based on the wildlife encounters and how I felt about it, im usually pretty alert and working on these plants isn't super great with the amount of wildlife. I kind of think it could be a great thing to do every year but also if im busy it probably isn't happening. I do like the idea of grow tents for harvesting it in a reasonable amount of time because this was atleast 2 months longer of growing to harvest, it felt like it was a long stretch of time but not for the weather, it could use another couple extra months of warm weather. The pros of growing it outdoors was that it was energy efficient to do and if the trichomes are good for 1-2 years without freezing or making bubble hash and then its either throw it out and grow it again or you could make something but im not sure on the potency.
Looking at the Alien OG plants there is more seed in it than I thought so when I actually harvest and dry them im going to need to remove the stems from the bud and sort through it most likely but its not seeded like you would normally see but theres probably enough to sort through it.
Ive looked at some of the seed that was on the flowers that started to go moldy from being outdoors but fortunately there was only a few of them and 4 days later of warmer temperatures ive found seeds that look to be developed enough but there might be more pollen added so these might grow more seed but I probably could harvest them at 70 days of flower and be pretty confident that I don't need to grow them an additional 40 days and that would take them to 100 days of flower if I did that but that pollen is probably in the carbon filter and not on the plant so 70 days is probably good.
I found some more mold on the Alien OG and some of the seeds looked really done but others were done looking but had some green on them at 62 days flower.
Additional mold found with 3 good seeds but I also found a very small green seed so im thinking these are pollinated again but ive got some powdery mildew on the lower branching from when they were outdoors and the leaves are really starting to yellow. The mildew was worse than I thought so I removed all of the leaves that had it and trimmed some of the lower buds that had mildew on them but the seeds look close to finished on the branches that I looked through but I don't think im going to dry the mildew areas, im only going to remove the seed from those buds but the larger sizes are unaffected but there were alot of spores while doing this and it was the first time that ive had powdery mildew and it originated on the Rockstar plant that I seeded. There was moisture in the air when they were outdoors and only 4 days of high humidity before turning on a dehumidifier but it is kind of Alien to get powdery mildew on the plant closest to the Alien OG's.
64 days of flower I found a finished seed on an Alien OG upper cola, there also looking frostier under the LED light than they did outdoors, I definitely have atleast two phenos that id think of re-vegging and cloning from but id like to reflower all of them under lights to see what the other two look like.
After drying the Rockstar Kush for sometime it doesn't look like you would want to trim these, they look like they would be great for bubble hash though, I think it wouldn't be a good comparison if you compared it to the same plant grown indoors. I definitely feel that you would need a better climate or try to finish them a month earlier with a light deprivation greenhouse.
The day that you can use a hose with a hydrogen generator to produce power to grow these plants is the day that you won't get mold but so far geothermal is probably where these plants grow especially if there are any problems with drought. Im not saying living subterranean is going to work long term, they need to see the surface is mostly what it is and thats probably why this location isn't populated and its not looking like its going to be because of the wildlife and weather conditions but people like extreme weather conditions and thats why it looks the way it does. The next step to harvesting the Alien OG plants would be to use hydrogen peroxide in water to clean them. I found 2 additional seeds at day 65 and they were finished but they were in a top cola, so obviously the weather conditions were not good enough to grow these without a dehumidifier. One of the problems is that you find areas that are nicer or something is better about them, especially if there aren't any roads because theres some really nice areas that you can see minute after minute, hour after hour, day after day without realizing theres something that is working and something that is becoming very difficult to show without encountering wildlife and long travel times and because of that most of it is unpopulated and this was the best climate that we could see for the spring and summer months and most of it is not used or we shouldn't of because the forest was to dry and to hot and the storms were beyond what could be handled on a large scale.
Ive reached Day 67 on the seeded plants and the Rockstars are not dry yet with it being close to two weeks but it was alot of time spent for something that when grown under proper conditions looks really good. I did test the outdoor Rockstar Kush in a vaporizer and it probably was a similar strength but I wasn't quite sure if the visuals were as good as when its grown indoors, edibles probably can do it but were not using those. There are increased dopamine and serotonin levels when concentrating this substance and if THC activates the receptors it can effect that system. After the lights went on I checked one of the seeds from the seeded Rockstar Kush plant and it was finished looking but it did have a slight green tinge on the end of the seed but it did look finished.
I had some trim that was either from Febuary 2022 or November 2021 not frozen or vacuum sealed and it was almost getting dark and I decided to make some bubble hash with the snow that was melting and I spent 6 1/2 hours on it and I was able to use it in a vaporizer the same day and it was quite strong. I find that you can work on the bags for longer than 6 hours and there probably is still quite alot of hash left in the material but im not washing it more than that because im sore and it doesn't matter if I work on it at all. If you can pull the 25 micron bag easily or if you remove some of the water before pulling it you might be interested in an iceless sub-zero water extraction machine because it is requiring cold water temps to wash and not necessarily ice agitation. The next day it isn't completely dry but were only at 9% yield, so it is going to be slightly lower than that after drying and you'd expect at least 10% yield working it more than a few times, this probably would take 9 hours to do. If you lost 3% yield than it would be like losing if you were working at a job and not running it again the next day. Id say that if they were pricing it at 15-18 /g that would be a high profit margin for the industry but 5/g is good pay for the work but 10-15/g would of felt rewarding and 25/g and your really pricing that high.
Day 68 The powdery mildew looks pretty awful and im probably not taking these plants past Day 70 because of that, Im unfortunately not sure how to clean up after powdery mildew or prevent it in the future from forming now that there are spores. Im not sure where its from because outdoors only one of the plants was effected and it seems like if I knew that powdery mildew was like that I wouldn't of been able finish these plants, it really was difficult to see. That does mean you can't really apply anything this close to harvest because Greencure is only used to prevent mold.
From a viewpoint of drying the Rockstar Kush it does look like there could be 6 grams per branch untrimmed of sizes that could be trimmed by hand and then alot of extra material but that would be under 2lbs trimmed, it wouldn't be alot. If it was 1430g untrimmed and it was run through the bags it could be 200g of bubble hash.
The night before harvesting the Alien OG I did some trimming on the fan leaves and sugar leaves so there won't be powdery mildew to wash but im going to wash each branch with hydrogen peroxide and water and rinse it before hang drying.
Day 70 I harvested the seeded plants and it was one of the worst experiences ive had with mold or any sort of mildew, there were alot of branches where I had to trim all of it, I then used hydrogen peroxide in water and rinsed thoroughly and it took me a really long time and I worked non stop and I was exhausted after. Im not sure how it drys or if its clean enough after rinsing and if it isn't I can run it through bubble bags but its one of these problems that would make me not want to grow any garden plant at all because it is completely negative and I absolutely did not like working on it because of it. I probably couldn't repeat this method of finishing seeds outdoors if the powdery mildew spreads that fast and I recommend harvesting at 56 days and working on them another time because it was not a task that I would want to do.
The next day I cleaned up all of the twist ties, stalks and containers. I think that one of the reasons why outdoor is somewhat better is because there isn't any floor cleanup, you don't need to wash anything and there is alot of water used for floor washing and so it does mean you need a floor with a drain otherwise your lifting alot of buckets. They've used alot of materials to grow indoor plants, they do seem to replace growtents at some point but growing outdoors does explain that open spaces are better for plant growing.
It took 4 1/2 hours to get the Rockstar Kush ready for hand trimming and there was a significant portion of it that was to small to trim and that would need to be run through the bags or be machine trimmed if it was being used for anything but mostly thats an additional step.
The next day I trimmed two trays and I thought that it was ok but id prefer to trim it if it had full sunlight or any that was grown in a greenhouse that runs lights at the end of the season. If you had alot of it you could trim it by hand but it looks like alot more tedious of a task. I didn't want to trim more than that but if it was grown with alot of light it would be way better. It easily would make sense if you had 1 person to trim it per 1/2 lb. otherwise you would want it machine trimmed or made into kief or run through bags.
Again the next day I trimmed two more trays and I found quite a few unfinished beige seeds that were soft but I did find 1 finished seed today and that means this strain can possibly reproduce in cold weather conditions year after year without any Alien interference, im Alien to the plant, im not you it has it own metabolism and ideas of what its doing. I look at the Quinoa plant and think it evolved from quinoa and not hops, there is a method of creating ideas and that is one. If its a cocoa bean your moving the quinoa south. That mango tree was talking to the quinoa but what came first the quinoa or the mango. If you introduce that mango tree to the turkey then your definitely making this, and then you bring the cassowary in and introduce it to the dinos in the Jurassic period. Your taking the Emu through a spacetime gate in a four dimensional hypercube. This wasn't the flamingo that always worked. If it was looking down from a cloud they tried really hard creatively but they couldn't do it, there were reasons for shapes and designs thats what it looks like. Try introducing a turkey to a skunk. Were indigenous and we only know things about plants.
I vaporized the Alien OG and it was definitely something id grow again, the strength of the flower alone was enough not to concentrate it, it wasn't lacking. It held up really well as a pharmaceutical, I wouldn't think it wasn't used.
The next day I trimmed two more trays and found two finished seeds, I then machine trimmed all of the small sized flowers of the Rockstar Kush plant and I then used my hands to make it into a fine consistency in order to extract the seeds that were finished. After removing the seeds I was left with 8.4 oz of usuable flower material and two bags of trim from the machine that has alot of kief in it from the flower and thats only from the smallest size. So I tried the trim that was loaded with kief but it didn't pull hard enough on the imagery but it really pulled on the heart aortas as in it was probably to much without surgery to correct it.
And again the next day I did two more trays and this time the bin I was trimming from was mostly the top colas and those are definitely better to trim than the medium sizes that were in the first bin and though they were leafy it was mostly connecting the scissor and the brain to the stems without being able to look at alot of calyx like you would see if they were grown with more light. I think if I was looking at it from the perspective of energy consumption 60-100 of these is alot of material to work with if theres a market for it and 1000 of them is alot to dry because you need alot of space to hang up more than this, and thats where the facilities needed to be way bigger than PiHKAL & TiHKAL as in its derivative. Also because of the amount of support they need and additional veg time it does make sense to double or triple the numbers to get the same yield because they would need to be trellised unless your working alot on the support. Im mostly saying it would take 180-300 started small in May to make it work for this climate if it was and the amount of space it takes to dry would be alot, and thats really only because it would be remarkable if it was 2 ounces per plant and you didn't need to grow them so tall but thats the problem with the climate and why do that if you can finish them mid September. The other thing that needed thought was that if your using a fertilizer injection system you need multiple injectors because some nutrient solutions can't be mixed together in concentrated forms making growing in coco coir a little different than using a 1 part powdered fertilizer because im thinking you need separate tanks for AB and Pro Cal and thats only because there not necessarily buying the huge water tanks and mixing them up before hand. You need soil and manure but they think I can grow a bigger plant with coir, im kind of thinking its alot of peat moss to continue the organic thread but atleast you don't need a fertilizer injector.
The last day of trimming the Rockstar Kush I trimmed three trays and the results for trimming all of it were 12.6 ounces of larger sizes and 4.1 ounces of smaller sizes and 0.6 ounces of very small machine trimmed sizes, so that would be 16.7 ounces of somewhat presentable flower and 9 ounces of the smallest sizes machine trimmed and a bin of trim that has kief in it from the machine. There are quite a few strains that finish earlier than this but there usually a clone crossed with an autoflower and they finish earlier but there are some that finish early October but it is the longest list of strains that don't start flowering until the end of August and if any of the strains required 12 hours they wouldn't flower until sometime in September.
I then poured out all of the hand trimmed flower into a bin and with my hands I made them into a flake consistency and sorted through it for all of the seeds and if they germinate it was worth it but if they don't it didn't need to be done because there weren't alot of them but I was able to remove alot of large stems.
Then the next day I started snipping at the Alien OG stems that were drying and looking through it but they were not dry yet and unfortunately there was some mold on phenotype #3 so im going to let them continue to dry and then im going isolate each phenotype from each other including the large sizes in order to prevent any spread of mold but it does look like there are hundreds of seeds but im not sure if theres thousands of seeds but if theres a thousand seeds that would be great. I probably wouldn't use any of it without the vapor running through water because im not sure how clean it is after washing and rinsing it.
After going through all of Alien OG carefully there were only two more spots of mold fortunately and there were alot of seeds but it is going to take me awhile to trim the larger sizes before separating the seed but there is enough this time that im going to need to use cardboard on an incline so they roll down and I can collect them properly but one of the phenos didn't have as many seeds as the others but it is enough that one could look through it to see if they were any good but you mostly want as many plants as possible when breeding so you get the largest variety of possibilities and that means greenhouses with filtration are probably a better method for breeding large amounts of seed if you need hundreds of thousands to millions of seeds for heirloom varieties which the phenotype that I tested indicated it was.
I trimmed phenotype #3 and it has quite alot of seed in it but the actual flower looked like an indoor quality and id probably say thats only 1/4 and I can say that phenotype #4 did not look anything like that so if you are growing these for flower quality you probably would grow clones but in the reality of cannabis growing it is mostly the trichomes that were looking for and when the flower is grinded into flakes it doesn't matter in most use cases so im still thinking that growing from seed is somewhat better if you consider the amount of space and energy that is required to keep large plants to clone from and that does mean that you need to work more to grow from clones and alot of the clone only plants are only available as feminized seed because they don't have the original plants to breed from and maybe not even the seedstock, these were really plants that someone acquired from a long time ago.
In the evening I started to separate the flower from the seeds and I found that it is faster to do little of it at time with a bin than it is to do alot of it because the seeds don't roll as easily through it if its to thick and its easier to look through the remaining material for any left over seed, but I still need to separate the very small sizes that didn't break into flakes when I was initially working it into a flake consistency with my hands.
I trimmed phenotypes 1, 2 and 4 but I was mostly impressed with 1 and 2 but 4 was frosty aswell but I would like to see what 4 looks like flowered under a light because these weren't the weather conditions to grow this strain but im sure if you made into a flake consistency without stems its probably strong enough. One of the problems with growing cannabis is not growing for seed, hash and flower at the same time and being negative about the way something looks based on its flower structure because we already know that cannabis seeds are very likely to be something that can be mass produced with seeds being readily available in any quantity instead of limited stock but that is part of growing cannabis that bothers people because if your growing for unseeded flowers and you want to trim it at the end season you don't want alot of pollen in the air. I am thinking that it could be to pollinated to keep a male plant and that plant only dropped less than a percentage point of all of its pollen, I was expecting it only to pollinate what I did and there were way more than that.
Then I worked for many hours sorting the seed and it was quite time consuming and I think it would be easier to use a shop vac with a long extension that only gathers the plant material but its really something extra to work and isn't something you need to do with so many seeds being online and they are kind of expensive but growing this plant has always been and thats where the seeds weren't really that expensive in the long run and acquiring clones was quite reliable for people who grew this plant but they do need seeds at the consumer level in some quantity because clones are energy consuming to keep thousands of varieties year round and ive always thought that this plant needs more seed storage but probably in some form of arctic or subterranean storage and shipment and that means im not really that good at it and it takes a very smart person to understand how to manage it when its so extinct already. When you think about it this plant doesn't grow anywhere, it takes alot of moisture and has to seed each year and its pretty dry in most climates and that means it doesn't spread unless its planted.
The final yield for the Alien OG after removing the seed and large stems and weighing what the larger sizes that were trimmed was
2.5 ounces phenotype 1
0.6 ounces phenotype 2
4.1 ounces phenotype 3
0.7 ounces for phenotype 4
4.5 ounces - All of the small stems, kief and flakes that I removed when sorting the seeds.
12.3 ounces - All of the small sizes untrimmed and processed into a flake consistency and with all of the seeds removed.
0.9 ounces - All of the very small material that was mixed in with the seed after removing the seed from the bin and then I used a box to remove that material but its mostly scrap material and would be used for bubble.
3.3 ounces - All of Trim
That would be 13.3 ounces of trimmed deseeded and destemmed flower with an additional 12.3 ounces of flower and trim mixed together into a flake consistency. You could say it was 7.9 ounces usable but the 4.5 is usable but has alot of small stems in it and the 0.9 is bubble material.
Then there was 1.2 ounces of Rockstar Kush that was deseeded and 0.4 ounces of stems from that. That would be 18.4 ounces from the Rockstar Kush and 9 ounces from the very smallest size.
The total number for both strains wouldn't be an accurate enough number because were only looking at the trichomes as usable and not the flakes and that means I can make 146 grams of bubble hash but it doesn't need to be done because if its not used within 3 or 4 years its probably not being made at all because of the amount of labor involved and if theres any interest in stronger substances it might of been made into BHO but that can be dangerous to make. They are difficult to explain because substances need to work better with less side effects.
The seeds themselves look different after being crossed with another strain, the Alien Rockstar Kush seeds are very large and oval looking and alot of them were unfinished or didn't develop a brownish color but the shells were glossy, while the Alien OG seeds are small circular and dark brown, looking completely different. It does look like I would want to reseed the Rockstar Kush because there are only enough seeds to make an F2 and grow some plants and thats where the questions are on how stable or good thousands of F2 seeds would be or what traits they would show when recrossed with the Rockstar Kush and if they would lean towards one phenotype.
So I did some reading and it says that would be called a backcross or a BX and it could increase a trait from the original clone only strain into the BX and if you backcrossed it again it would be a BX2 and if you crossed it again it would be a BX3 and they would be similar to the clone only strain but it can reduce genetic diversity and vigor in the new hybrid strain.
The only way to really start breeding these two strains is to clone them before flowering them and then flowering out only the females while keep the male as a clone to see what they look like before actually pollinating them with actually testing the THC content as optional. The complication is you need a variety to show the most amount of traits in the seeds and I don't have enough cloning lights to keep more than a few phenotypes, so its probably not something I can work on as well without revegging but it can be done with alot of grow tents and alot of people and thats probably why we don't do that if your looking at F1 to F5 into an IBL, meaning there would be alot of downtime if they weren't invested into it or had alot of seed stock from previous while looking at the cost of living.
Ive thought about that if you don't make a seedstock thats plentiful from each generation you don't have any way of correcting it and if the Alien OG male plant wasn't the best phenotype im sure they wouldn't make seeds like this if they wanted the most variety, but im probably not disappointed in the results because there not reaching the mid 20 THC percentage range without quitting, if you increase the price of seeds for a 10 pack and it has a 40% THC range it doesn't mean this needs to be better because I was thinking drought and mold resistance are traits that aren't being focused on like they normally would, its not a realistic way of looking at it. I think the experience of growing the plant is still there but you don't know whats in a small variety compared to what could be done.
If you were looking at the history of cannabis breeding there probably aren't alot of strains that are created from backcrossing because one particular phenotype was better than another and that means atleast thousands of years of not backcrossing and then you tried to go back in time but they could of used a time portal to go back millions of years to bring the plant to the plateau which was unnamed at the time but I think I know that you can't map pollen back millions of years in different locations on the planet for this plant without finding a particular grain of rice in a large general area, it isn't that easy to explain, this plant could be from the Triassic period and thats atleast 201 million years ago. If they only left the fossilized pollen but brought the plant millions of years into the future or sometime around thousands of years ago, your not explaining how this plant survived for millions of years. This plant is being brought to human civilization it isn't appearing magically.
I vaporized phenotype #1 of the Alien OG and what I thought was it needed more of the kief in it even though I could see clearly that it had some in it. I don't think it was as strong as the autoflower after being kiefed and definitely not as strong as the Rockstar Kush after sitting for a year or two but I didn't use the waterpipe because it was washed and most of the residue of powdery mildew would of been in the trim but I can see that before I started to trim it I did try the Alien OG and it was stronger than this and that makes me think that it might be difficult to use this deseeded flower at a higher strength without looking through it until you get to concentrated areas of kief. The visual response on Rockstar Kush edibles at a higher strength are these are considered Rx or they were at one point, if I were to say that the imagery was dull on #1 after deseeding and vaporizing, id say the edibles would make the imagery wet and then the problem is that the blood flow isn't right for what there trying to do with it and it gets replaced with other substances. If you cut anything one time you don't wanna do it, its the risk of not having a drug addiction. One of the problems with replacing cannabis with another substance is that it takes alot more intelligence to understand the process and because of that they aren't being schooled into it and theres no drug addiction at 350% to 1300% normal dopamine levels and that means that it becomes more difficult and requires higher levels of intelligence making cannabis one of the only substances that is readily available and usable. I took another look at #1 and there wasn't alot of kief in it but there was alot in #3 and that means these are probably either mixed together or made into bubble, I could kief it again and put it all into #3.
Again vaporized phenotype #2 and maybe I don't hold it in long enough and there were alot of trichomes in it but maybe not enough in comparison to an intact flower, it did fade faster than id like and I was still thinking that the Rockstar Kush even though this was harvested 2 years ago it wasn't that strong or close to saying this was an Rx and I need that because there is alot of history of using something because its stronger but all phenotypes can be concentrated and that is probably a solution, this was one of are best plants I dunno thats how it was. I couldn't be sure if this was working the same as when I tested the intact flower or if it was grown only indoor, it has to be to strong on the flower or it isn't the same. If there were any problems with the heart with increased blood flow I would of felt it if I was using the Rockstar Kush but I wasn't with this phenotype of Alien OG and any kind of squiggling problems with a blockage is increased with the Rockstar Kush and can be felt and that means it can feel like its bleeding if its to strong but the results of using the Alien OG hash might be the same.
Phenotype #3 vaporized was probably the strongest that this substance could be without being an edible and if there was anymore kief it wouldn't of been better for anyone using it and also the aorta felt like a blimping dissection but not painful but it could probably tear something, your not sure what needs to be snipped but your feeling like your in for surgery on that one. It probably could of been a reason to use it instead of something else but im not sure the size of the tear or what got stuck, its a matter of me not using it alot if its like that. It definitely has a use though and id grow it again, I wouldn't want to compare it to the autoflower I grew because of how it was as in I was reaching the limit on what my vaporizer can do. Im not really able to determine yet if this was the best phenotype for usage because there were so many trichomes that didn't make it when I was removing the seeds and stems but I can say this phenotype would be the one to use if you didn't know what the other ones were but I would grow the others because they had better size colas except for #4 because that needs to be regrown to determine what it looks like. If at anytime they looked nice but didn't have any strength than I wouldn't think I would use them, I could of vaporized this phenotype for a shorter period of time to reduce the effect on the aorta. It does work after 1 year with 16% THC loss and again after year 2 with 26% THC loss but after year 3 your looking at 34% loss and year 4 with 41% loss but at freezing temperatures its only 4% and that means anything with a higher thc percentage is going to be better for long term storage. One of the conclusions was that the storage wasn't long enough for something that might not be used and after the work was already done why grow it for long term storage if it doesn't get used. If the material is 2 years old and its already lost 26% thc and you make bubble hash and freeze it and it loses 4% thc per year, it doesn't need to be made because it can be grown again. I did read that if a drug is made a certain way it can have a longer shelf life than cannabis if stored properly but some substances are good for a decade and don't need to be replaced but whether or not THC and CBD are being replaced for usage isn't quite clear because you can't label it as a terrestrial substance without more information about it. These seeds could be green to asteroids to brown and green and starry somewhere in the galaxy turning to brown upon reaching its destination. The brownish color could be what the planet looked like to asteroids to another green habitable planet to beige but the quinoa plant being so colorful might be more of an indicator of a deity or not, the hops plant is scaled like a dinosaur and could represent traveling through a wormhole to reach Earth.
I ended up dry sifting phenotypes 1,2 and 4 and all of the small sizes and stems from the Alien OG or about 609 grams with a bubble bag and I was able to get 98 grams of dry sift in an hour and half but I couldn't do it with a dust mask or outside at all because I need an anti histamine to do that so I can only make bubble hash because of that and any remaining material is probably not used or thrown out when it expires because it isn't something that id use alot of and im not gonna finish phenotype #3 because if i used it once per week it would last a really long time and it would probably expire and thats how addictive it is to me, it doesn't get used. Why did I do that? because I didn't think anyone would use those without being dry sifted and I wouldn't of put that material into bubble bags for bubble hash because it would not get used and it was to small of an amount to run through a wash machine for hours for one strain but it could still be done if I wanted to make Alien OG bubble hash and throw in the dry sift because thats all it is when looking at it or in my thoughts it was only something to do, ive only made dry sift twice because of that but bubble hash is something I don't mind making once in awhile but not alot or not at all.
Of course I prepared a screen of phenotype #4 before the dry sift and I vaporized it with the consideration of holding it in longer but this plant is a trans am and runs to well on cyclinders, its not like you can throw a Ferrari at it without saying it has to many horses, alot of these strains of this plant aren't interested enough like you would see with MDMA, there breaking right at the cylinders. It takes a certain level of strength to make all of the content interesting but if it focuses on cyclinders it doesn't mean your using the better content because thats not what it was for, the best content isn't there or its hard to find but its going at 100% for cylinders.
I did work on some more trim and small sizes that I ran through a machine for bubble and the material was 2 years old and I did 10 washes at 10 mins each and let the bags sit for 10 mins each and I got a 5% yield. Its not really looking like its that easy and I only used cold water that would cause to much discomfort to touch with your bare hands and maybe it wasn't a high enough yield but those are some of the results and it has been higher. Its not the replacement for something that works but it is something to do if theres nothing which for thousands years there wasn't and it still does seem like I can't use anything else. 26% isn't a huge loss on something that has up to 60% thc to begin with and you could say the shelf life is only that good because your not making it usually. It seems like alot of thought went into doing 10 washes. It is difficult to create information in history that cannabis was being used because they found a 3800 year old Babylonian clay tablet that suggests that cannabis was used as a remedy for grief and epilepsy in Ancient Sumer but no cannabis. Was I using cannabis in Göbekli Tepe 11000 years ago, if im not using cannabis for 500 years im not to happy about it.
The 73 micron hash that the material was already 2 years old before making had no noticeable loss in strength after using it because it felt like it was full, I wouldn't of been able to notice if I had used my vaporizer for a longer period of time. What I did find was that the sound for the music was releasing something that made me feel better while listening, I would say that the edibles that could of been made with the leftover material after washing it would of been super great but its compost and it isn't used for anything, that means any visuals combined with music are a pleasureful experience but what I did notice is that it can't handle freezing temperatures because you shake uncontrollably and it does need 75-80 °F or you would need to dress quite warm if it was 60 °F. I wasn't bleeding here but with the Alien OG kief I think it was bleeding but that would need further examination, there was discomfort days after but not with the Rockstar Kush bubble.
I tried the scissor hash from the Alien OG with my vaporizer and I thought that there was a numbing effect to it physically, there wasn't really any dopamine release or serotonin or both like ive experienced with the Rockstar Kush, that might be a phenotype that is like that. What I did find was that the arteries were pushing on the ribcage and it wasn't to uncomfortable but it could send someone to the emergency if they didn't know what was going to happen. It was good for music though but if its missing a certain effect then the other phenotype might be better.
Ive also now experienced the same problem with the Rockstar Kush scissor hash after vaporizing it from this year, its probably the largest kidney stone but it felt like it could snap an aorta or break through the sternum. Im hoping that anyone that uses it doesn't need surgery but this one doesn't seem to work here that well. It could be a form of an aortic aneurysm or some buildup of something or an injury to the aorta from previous but its probably a kidney stone but there was a very sharp pain from previous that I experienced when it moved and it is was reaching beyond the pain threshhold in the brain and that could be a kidney stone but its mostly stuck and unable to move, its gotta be really lodged in there.
The other thoughts are where do these strains actually grow so you need to look at where they originate from and that is the difficult part because it doesn't say that we had them, they are not a native species to our climate.
Rockstar Kush is Rockstar x Bubba Kush
Rockstar is Rock Bud x Sensi Star. They were crossed in the Netherlands.
Sensi Star is from the Netherlands and was introduced into the market in 1995.
Rock Bud is Super Skunk X Afghani X Big Skunk Korean X Afghan Hawaiian
Super Skunk is Skunk #1 and an Afghani strain
Big Skunk Korean is Skunk #1 X Big Bud X Korean strains
Skunk #1 was bred in the late 1960's and 1970's and was Afghani X Mexican Acapulco Gold X Colombian Gold
Its a really complicated decision to discontinue a strain and cross it with another to increase the profile of it and rename it to something that it isn't while having the original idea of it but not having it.
Bubba Kush is an Afghani x OG Kush cross and not alot of information beyond that. It said it was in the early 1990's that it was crossed but not really sure what it was, most of it is difficult to decipher without seeing it being done.
Alien OG is Tahoe OG X Alien Kush
Tahoe OG is OG kush but not alot of information beyond that.
Alien Kush is Alien Dawg x Las Vegas Purple Kush
Alien Dawg is Chemdawg x Alien Technology
Las Vegas Purple Kush is Hindu Kush X Purple Afghani
The history of the plant is shrouded in mystery, it is thought that hops was growing on the Tibetan Plateau and the plant evolved 28 million years ago but something would of had to of made it. The plant has been traded for thousands of years and it is speculated that it was used by nomadic people and thats how the genetics reached different parts of the planet. It is thought that it was being used 4000 years ago. There are thoughts that this plant is from another solar system and contains Alien DNA. In some cultures they might of been using the plant 5000 years ago but they might not of found anything yet that they were using it.
If you can figure out how to split Hydrogen and Oxygen in H2O to make H2 and were to use it in a generator that would work but it takes 260 kJ per mole of water, the difficulty is finding white hydrogen or understanding how to use the magnetic field of the earth to split H2 from Oxygen and a fuel cell like that would work. If you make first contact with an extra terrestrial intelligence and are able to understand there technology and were able to build a fuel cell that worked it might be different than splitting H2 from Oxygen and you might not be able to understand the process.
If you used 1 kWh of electricity for electrolysis of water, assuming the efficiency of 70% for the electrolyzer and 50% for the fuel cell, then the amount of hydrogen gas produced by electrolysis would be:
1 kWh x 70% / 39.4 kWh/kg = 0.018 kg
The amount of electricity that can be generated by the hydrogen fuel cell would be:
0.018 kg x 39.4 kWh/kg x 50% = 0.35 kWh
Therefore, using 1 kWh of electricity for electrolysis can produce 0.018 kg of hydrogen gas, which can generate 0.35 kWh of electricity by a hydrogen fuel cell. If you used 1 kW of power for 12 hours, then the amount of electricity used and produced would be 12 times as much, as in 12 kWh and 4.2 kWh, respectively. However, these are only theoretical estimates that do not account for the losses and inefficiencies in the process. What we learned is that if you can find something that can biologically split Hydrogen from Oxygen as in an organism that you put into the water and are able to capture the hydrogen gas you would be able to solve this problem of these plants not finishing respectively with a hydrogen fuel cell.
If you wanted to know how much is 1,100 Nm3/hour in kg of weight of hydrogen gas
To convert the volumetric flow rate of hydrogen gas to mass flow rate, you need to know the density of the gas at the given conditions. One way to calculate the density is to use the ideal gas law, which states that PV = nRT, where P is the pressure, V is the volume, n is the number of moles, R is the gas constant, and T is the temperature.
Assuming that the gas is at normal temperature and pressure (NTP), which means 20°C and 1 atm, we can plug in the values and solve for n:
(293.15 K because that is the equivalent of 20 degrees Celsius on the Kelvin scale)
n = PV/RT = (1 atm)(1,100 Nm3/hour) / (0.08206 L atm / mol K)(293.15 K) = 48.97 mol/hour
To convert the number of moles to mass, we need to multiply by the molecular weight of hydrogen, which is 2 g/mol:
m = nM = (48.97 mol/hour)(2 g/mol) = 97.94 g/hour
To convert from grams to kilograms, we need to divide by 1,000:
m = 97.94 g/hour / 1,000 = 0.09794 kg/hour
Therefore, 1,100 Nm3/hour of hydrogen gas at NTP is equivalent to 0.09794 kg/hour of hydrogen gas.
Therefore, 1,100 Nm3/hour of hydrogen gas at NTP is equal to (1,100)(0.08914) = 98.05 kg/hour of hydrogen gas. Im assuming that 0.09794 kg/hour of hydrogen gas would be 107.734 kg of hydrogen gas but thats all I could understand about how far I could grow this with an electrolyzer if I needed hydrogen gas and a generator.
To estimate how much electricity could be produced from 107.734 kg of hydrogen gas, we need to know the efficiency of the conversion process. One way to convert hydrogen gas to electricity is to use a fuel cell, which is a device that combines hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity and water. The efficiency of a fuel cell depends on the type, design, and operating conditions of the cell, but a typical value is around 50%. This means that for every kWh of hydrogen energy, the fuel cell produces 0.5 kWh of electricity.
A kilogram of hydrogen has an energy value of about 33.3 kWh. Therefore, 107.734 kg of hydrogen gas has an energy value of about (107.734)(33.3) = 3587.4 kWh. If we assume a fuel cell efficiency of 50%, then the electricity produced from this amount of hydrogen gas is about (0.5)(3587.4) = 1793.7 kWh.
This is an approximate calculation based on some assumptions and average values. The actual amount of electricity produced from hydrogen gas may vary depending on the source, quality, and purity of the gas, as well as the type, design, and performance of the fuel cell.
An electrolyzer could produce about 700.3 kWh of electricity with 100 gallons of water or about 42.06 kg of hydrogen gas at 50% efficiency of the fuel cell, but it would require about 4986.4 MJ (or 1385 kWh) of electrical energy input for the electrolysis process. This means that the net energy output is negative, and the process is not efficient but if you use solar and wind you can hold hydrogen in tanks instead of battery storage and that is a method to opening up the grid to adding more LED lights during the warmer months of the year.
It now gets quite difficult because mixing the Alien OG and the autoflower into a vaporizer so the kief doesn't fall out creates an effect that feels completely full and highlights the imagery to the point that this substance does work but it sees all of the imperfections in the visuals to the highest point imaginable and it doesn't seem to release any significant amount of dopamine or serotonin on those phenotypes like you would of found with the Rockstar Kush clone. Im sure this becomes one of the problems when selecting plants to grow because all of sudden your looking at the effects on a different scale. Also any auditory noise that is unpleasant or doesn't fit won't be a good experience at this point, ive found something that is going to say this was not working the way I wanted it to, I would of liked it to work better. It does work but your going to see the imperfections in the image.
Three months later going through all of November, December and January, I now know that its only February and im sure to see some nice weather in March and April being a warmer month it does feel like somewhat of a long time to be under the weather.
After sometime of thinking about the photo quality it did look like that it would be more expensive to purchase an expensive phone than an expensive camera but I did find the quality to be enough to display the strains. I did think that the photo quality on cameras that were less than a thousand were very good quality but I wasn't able to see the smartphone cameras as being better but they were somewhat the same but I did find the photography cameras to be really good.
It did get quite warm and sunny today in February with most of the snow melted and being able to feel somewhat normal about the weather again, infact it was so warm today that if I had a small greenhouse with heating and supplemental lighting it would be a good time to grow plants but we are going to see some cooler temperatures again but today it felt warmer and nicer than when I harvested these plants. I do prefer that there not being alot of colder weather in February. Last year in March there was quite alot of snow and this year theres nothing in February. I prefer the warmer climate.
I was looking and I found around 80 sites approximately that were selling seeds and there was alot of unsold inventory for seeds so it does seem like people can grow a few more seed plants currently but it doesn't necessarily mean someone would need to. I think there was a slight inception on how many seeds they wanted to sell because its an industry in the 100's of millions for revenue but not in the billions meaning it is smaller than using it as a substance. What im thinking is that its more affordable to make seeds when the climate is warmer than buying them but they still need to be sold and they can be stored for quite awhile but I did think the packaging was done by a machine if it was in any significant quantity of seeds but also there was a line on whether or not it was financially stable to keep making and selling them with so many websites. There were specific strains that were not being sold on the sites that received more purchases but it was so much cannabis to use that one purchase was enough for many years so it was more of a visual experience growing the plant than actually using it.
I tested phenotype #3 again of the Alien OG and this time I was sure that I was experiencing auditory hallucinations with the strain, they weren't loud enough to understand what it was but there was something speaking for only seconds and not very frequently and most of the sounds were strange sounding and could make someone uncomfortable and im not sure if thats a good reason to keep the clone while already having seeds from it. This was not experienced with other strains that ive used, it is sounding like an acid plant. Id grow the Rockstar Kush again but I wouldn't be inclined in keeping the Alien OG clone if thats what it does and that means it probably is something that wasn't used and I don't know how rare that phenotype is. There are private collections of clone only phenotypes and you could keep a few of each but unless you have an entire tray it is slightly more difficult to look at. Seeds need to be redone at some point and that means there selling seeds during the process but it does cost more to make seeds than it does to buy a pack of seeds but whether or not theres a collection of clones for more than a few years to make the seeds is something I don't have knowledge of and that becomes more complicated because theres so many varieties.
I had a little bit of scissor hash left from fall 2020 from the 4 outdoor Rockstar Kush plants I grew and with it being 2024 and keeping it stored in freezing temperatures but not vacuum sealed, testing it again it was the strongest thc substance or the best plant and im not sure if purchasing a clone for 250-500 US is better than this clone. I couldn't think of a reason to grow a different plant after using it. You probably couldn't use it alot and not lysp and it does something with the male breast tissue but it is a better plant. I can't actually say I like using substances if there not working and this clone works.
I tried loading up the Rockstar Kush scissor hash from this outdoor harvest into the vapor whip and while it did work when I went to lay down I was not able to handle the strength or something and I got phasered by it, a really high level of clenching on the organs and what felt like a brain aneurysm, it actually felt like I could of been torn from the pressure on the aortas and organs and that wasn't surgically corrected. Thats a question on how that happened. The second time using the same hash with the vape it did get to strong at some point but I wasn't phasered this time but it did seem like it was quite lined based on features and thats where people have an opinion that it doesn't work, when people make decisions on important things in there life that it is factual that they don't alot of the time, the hash is saying no I don't do that, that isn't right, I didn't think that. It didn't happen under the influence of this hash.
Doing some detailed reading into why my photos might not be as high quality at the same mega pixel size as a more advanced camera that may capture more detail due to their larger sensors and advanced image processing technologies. The more expensive camera would provide more detailed photos due to their larger sensor sizes, better pixel technology, and advanced AI-driven image processing. This means they have low light performance which contribute to clearer, more detailed photos with better color accuracy and dynamic range and going beyond that with newer technology you could see somewhat softer footage with a slightly narrower dynamic range but delivers more saturated colors. Were looking at a difference in photo quality with a more expensive camera at this point.
Its April now and you start to notice the greenery of the leaves of all of the plants and they start to grow from a small size and though this month is quite cool and doesn't always see temperatures in the 60's until later during the month it is quite nice to see the scenery of nature and the mountains, though there still is snow in the higher elevations but without actually being able to find the bears coming out of hibernation it does feel somewhat safer but that is one of the reasons why its hard to compare it to warmer climates and though the scenery might seem better it does have a limit on hours of daylight and theres only so many weeks that it is green for and that does mean that if a yard is nicely landscaped it can deter you from needing to see the area which in my case I feel exploring the mountains to be an exception though I have walked through the forest without a trail and down the mountain and that is something that people don't do that ive done many times but I don't advise it because you can feel the danger of not knowing where your going, its different than following a path. I for some reason feel better about the nature scenery while its cold than you would think, it has a feeling to it that you couldn't experience in a desert climate. To think that I had a week of temperatures that were so cold that I couldn't think of locating here but I was able to keep warm but it isn't supposed to be that cold and thats where im not able to progress mentally, I know its wrong to think, I know im making a mistake with the thought. I said I needed hydrogen, its a source of energy that could be replaced easier if something happens and I couldn't make it through the fire season without some mental stress. Its hard to explain that if I can't split H2O into Hydrogen and Oxygen efficiently im unable to rebuild structure or infrastructure for power generation at this time without quite alot of engineering and it can take a few years to start and finish anything related to relocating a population and power generation, its very difficult.
Hydrogen itself has an energy content of 33.6kWh per kg and an empty tank holding that weighs less than battery storage by quite a significant amount. It read that if the tank weighed 215kg and held 4.2kg of compressed Hydrogen it would hold 141.12kWH of energy, where if it was a Lithium ion battery it would weigh 940.8kg meaning that storing hydrogen during the warmer months of the year with solar energy and an electrolyzer and not using as much energy during those months and saving it for the winter could be an option to replace other methods of power generation without investing in battery storage. The only problem now is that the efficiency of the power generator which at 50% would only produce 70.56kWh of energy but perhaps hydrogen storage opens up the possibility of not needing to replace or build large battery systems.
I was trying to be realistic about the thought of using hydrogen and currently there are tanks in existence that hold 270 tons of hydrogen that are 20m tall and they hold 244,940kg of liquid hydrogen and thats where it got confusing because if you had two 200,000kg tanks it would be enough energy to power more than 1000 homes for 6 months or during the colder months of the year but if you were to produce hydrogen through an electrolyzer it would require a massive amount of solar panels to do it as more than a million panels and thats where the thought is turning to science on how to actually split H20 without solar, can you use the quantum singularity or zero point energy to do it, its already known to be extremely energy intensive to use a particle accelerator. I know energy production isn't as reliable on the surface.
You could think about it and if you had 1 million solar panels and each one generated 3kWh in a day at 100% efficiency it would take 2.22 days to fill up a 200,000kg tank of hydrogen but it would take up 162 hectares depending on the size of the panels for only the panels not including any spacing and though they could be put on the water instead of the land but that does mean it wouldn't look the same like any other civilization. Lets say 10.2 million squarefeet for 560,000-680,000kw of panels but depending again on the size of the panel because they can build quite large panels but thats only the panels because it depends on how there spaced. If the electrolyzers were 2MW each for 900kg per day you would need 90 to 100 of them.
Im really feeling like I should of spent more on a camera, somewhere between an A54 and Pixel 7 pro and that means im feeling as though the P60 or the Magic 6 would of been slightly better phones at a higher price but im not disagreeing that someone purchased a phone that expensive but I think for photos only I didn't take my expensive smartphone anywhere. Im feeling the limit on something that isn't that affordable to replace.
To calculate further a solar farm could produce 0.4 MW per hectare or about 40 MW per 100 hectares meaning that it would mostly be safer but it would take up a vast amount of space to perform a task that a steam turbine in a geothermal plant could do but you need to drill into the hot layers of rock but its undetermined if they can access hydrothermal vents that easily.
Its nearing the end of April 18th and with there being nice weather this month it has had some colder days and May is the 5th month and it goes by quite fast and that means theres only 4 months left and the end of the 4th month isn't as warm so you can look at it like it isn't the highlight of solar intensity but the vegetation is where I can see it, you would look at it like you've gone twice as far but you've only had a few years of warm weather. 92 millions years ago the earth was a Cretaceous hot greenhouse with surface temperatures of 85°F and it was like that for millions of years and the south pole was a rainforest and not an arctic tundra, the average temperatures in this rainforest were 13°C with summertime temperatures of 20°C to 25°C. It was 34 million years ago when the earth went from a warmer climate to a frozen tundra, its known as the Late Cenozoic Ice Age or also known as the Antarctic Glaciation and thats when the ice sheets started to form.
Something ive experienced is that if your using hydroponic fertilizers at 6ml/gal for flowering and if its 30 days of hot weather and your using 60 gals per day and alternating with freshwater you've used 5400ml of part A and 5400ml of part B and 4500ml of Pro Cal and that means its an expense at 8400ml and another expense at 4500ml and that means these large plants are costly to grow and I could see that being a factor in locating populations to grow this particular strain at its current yield without light deprivation. Id be looking at how to lower that expense.
On May 8th at 11AM there was a light brown bear but not full size eating grass in the same spot that these were grown last year and I was hundreds of feet away but I was able to watch it and I waved and said hello at him/her multiple times and it turned its head at me multiple times and then it walked back behind some brush but it does make you feel like you should be able to walk up to it but I don't unless it was closer to begin with.
I tried the Alien OG #3 phenotype again and I mixed it with the kief from the other phenotypes and I didn't quite think it was strong enough, it wasn't quite reaching the threshold that ive experienced with the Rockstar Kush, it had some distance to go before saying the imagery was the best and that might be only possible to reach growing it indoors if it isn't outdoors because it was strong and it did sort of but it didn't at the same time. I felt like I couldn't use the vaporizer enough to fill the imagery.
One of the conclusions is that if phenotype #3 was used and was at the threshold a couple times that I used it and another time it wasn't reaching that stage even if it was mixed 50% flower and 50% kief and vaporized, it didn't really explain what was happening with the brain receptors. Why did one strain run at full strength with a full release on the neurotransmitters.
Also I would like to say that the Alien OG plants vegged so slowly from seed that at 14 weeks they were the size of plants that are normally used for planting in May meaning that if you actually grew in my climate you would need alot of plants if there started from seed in May and they grow slowly, it becomes this was what I found to be one of the reasons to use indoor lights during April or before.
Trying the Alien OG #3 phenotype again mixed with the kief I needed to fill up the vaporizer twice even though the first one might not of been completely used up because it was quite sticky emptying it but it shouldn't need to be like that to get a full effect from it but thats the most I could figure out without rerunning it indoors for a full cycle and keeping the flowers intact so I know exactly what the effect is.
I tried the Rockstar Kush scissor hash again from this harvest and I can't imagine something fitting the arteries like that, its so strong to use that im not making it that well, it doesn't fit that well. I can't imagine something that predates human history and civilization to fit like that, you do not want to start consuming calories while using this at all. It feels like the most discriminating plant, I don't think it worked that well at this point, it probably worked better grown indoors, this wasn't the experience that I was hoping for.
I vaporized the same scissor hash again and this time it did fit the arteries enough that there wasn't discomfort but I drove right into the ditch and there was a mudslide. If you made it any stronger as in into an edible you'd find the hydrothermal vents and discover there sea caves.
When someone has to say excuse me Rockstar hash these are object orientated plants, these are female plants don't think you can really work with it. Its closer to saying these work better, its really focused on slope and height differences. These strains are really focused on terrain and object shapes with alot of face recognition problems, some faces are not working with these strains. The audio has to be right or you can't listen to it either, theres alot of complications. This does sort of work but not really at the same time, excuse this was to awkward it had to sound better or look better.
Trying the Alien OG kief mixed with flower again in the vaporizer it managed to get the flow up but it needed a sex change, its so close to being a tranny, I can't believe how many mistakes were made, these are to open and that means someone might not be able to stop and the audio distortions were noticeably strange when there was no sound, they could be worse but there definitely not mine to hear.
Growing the Alien OG phenos indoors under an led light showed that there was one that was significantly frostier than the Rockstar Kush and looked better but there were some problems with the plants stretching, they hardly did at all and topping them and without adding a co2 bag the flowers were quite small, id probably look at it like the Rockstar Kush didn't need to be stronger but could of looked better, I didn't think it was replaced with the Alien OG because of the audio sounds that aren't clear enough to listen to or loud enough.
I tried the frostiest pheno of the Alien OG that was grown under a light and I needed to refill my vaporizer with the kief/flower from outdoors and that did get the imagery to look somewhat wet as in it looked like it was enough to say im happy with this strength is how id describe it but it could be better and that is probably why the Rockstar Kush plant was reused as a clone. I really can't refill on the flower and thinking it needed to be revaped, id rather I didn't need to refill. Ive used the Rockstar Kush many times and I didn't need to refill, also im really trying to determine that these are better. Visually the flower that I trimmed of the Alien OG looked better for the small amount that was grown but I did still like trimming the Rockstar Kush and that means im really looking at it how it performs visually without a refill.
Trying the Rockstar Kush from the led light the day after using the Alien OG, it might take 15 minutes to use the vaporizer but its sobering up in 2 hours but theres obviously a capacity in the concentrates at this point, I would say it was stronger refilling on the Alien OG kief/flower but I didn't.
