Last update from the CcH2O UC COMM 35 Gallon - 6 siter. I now have a nice even canopy about 21 inches high. Massive root balls which makes me nervous because I didn’t maintain separation of the root zones sooooo I’m gonna do the best I can and try not to kill these very nice bushes I spent 4-5 weeks vegging. Each plant has been topped 3 times for a total of 8 mains. And super cropped as needed to keep the canopy uniform. I got a new light and have moved the 150w Viparspectra LED to the wall of my flowering tent and these are using the new one in veg since its 2 inches too big for my flower tent and i am vegging in my closet. The light is a NextLED Mega - 650w LED, started on 50% and moved to 75% recently with no issues.
I am moving 4/6 plants in this setup to my DIY RDWC system. 2 of which are the “Spilt Paint” strain this diary focuses on. Other two are “Gary Poppins” by Exotic Genetix. I have a 4 bucket system of 5 gallon buckets connected to an outside res that’s 27 gallons. The sites have both recirculating on via a waterfall to each site from the res and 1000gPH pump. And a return line thru 300 gPh pump and inline filter and back to the res. There is also a chiller and small pump in the res keeping the system nice a cool. Something I didn’t have with the current setup. That’s why I ran bennies. But honestly, regardless. I think that the benefits outweigh the sterile route regardless. Basically I’m moving them to a system with substantially better equipment. Like a blue lab guardian so my parameters will always be dialed in how I want. There’s an exhale bag for c02 hanging. Exhaust fan that runs for 5 mins every 25 mins to move the air around without wasting the precious c02. An air conditioner when needed (probably won’t use til flower). Small booster intake at the bottom duct and 2- 100w leds one on either side of a HLG 300 RSpec and a 150w viparspectra on the wall for side lighting.
Two trellises will be added when I move them. One 2ft above the base and the other 3 feet above. I will veg probably one more week after they start growing with the vigor I have become accustomed to in RDWC and it should fill the canopy out enough to flip and finish the rest of the way and the tent is gonna be completely packed down.
so excited! i just won 24 of these spilt paint from cookies website so im so excited!!!! real good genetics??? pretty spendy but if there’sa big difference is it worth the pay tag
I grabbed a pack of these, too. I wanted see what they looked like before I popped because I got few packs different stuff. Of the few journals out there that are finished all buds look amazing. I can defiantly see that she's gonna be bushy. These bugs are driving me nuts this time of year.
@Chem91istry,
Yeah, these are VERY stable genetics. Both of the Spilt paint that popped and got going have just absolutely THRIVED. The entire time it has been a steady growth and constantly outperforming the other strains in this growth "Gary Poppins by Exotic Genetix". Don't get me wrong it's doing well too but you can just tell by looking at the Cookies one that it's just really well-bred, it looks extremely healthy and always has. Responds well to super cropping, and topping and is a massive feeder. All the plants in this system probably are drinking 5 gallons a day between them and I haven't even flipped them yet! The roots are insane. Highly recommended. On the subject of bugs, had a small fruit fly issue earlier this week due to my girlfriend and a smoothie-related incident. But managed to handle that and now the plants have a clean bill of health.
