I’m not really sure what’s going on this week. As you can see in the pics there is some rusting/browning and yellowing of the leaves. I’ve checked for pests and see no signs. The heat hasn’t been too crazy never above 85F but the humidity has been on the high side. It’s been around 60-70% RH especially after waterings so I’ve been leaving the tent open for majority of the day until just before the lights go off. I’ve also put a large dehumidifier in the same room as the tent. So far these things have been helping.
My PH has been between 5.7-5.9 each watering and I haven’t changed nutrient amounts. I thought maybe it was a ph issue but I checked my pens and they are fine so then maybe nutrient burn? The tips were showing signs of “nutrient burn” a few weeks ago so I adjusted nutrient levels appropriately. But maybe that didn’t fix the issue.
Now I’ve decided to flush them this weekend to hopefully “reset” these ladies. Using my usual tap water and lowering the nutrients to about a 1/4 of the recommended strength. I PH Balanced to 5.8 and gave them a really good deep full watering on two occasions now, Friday and Sunday.
Hopefully this helps because it is still pretty early in the flowering stage and I don’t want to hurt the harvest.
The only other potential cause for the issue might be from stress from being too close the lights and from the heavy defoliation last week.
Other than that, the growth is still pretty good, although I think it has slowed some. I can definitely see these ladies filling the space back up with more leaves. I think I might need lights underneath to really help with the penetration, hopefully give the quantity a nice boost.
