Veg Week 3
Spice Girl is still struggling. The root zone wasn’t receiving enough oxygen, so I did some rearranging of the exhaust and the circulating fan and even finally built and hung a new door for the grow room. Just need to put the moulding and trim on and it’s good to go!
When looking at all the girls in the grow room, Spice Girl was the furthest away from the part of the room getting the air exchange. Must have been a “dead” spot. The next girls are West Coast Sour, looking to be slightly better off than the Spice Girls. And in the Goldilocks zone we have Sugar Bowl and Prosecco, looking absolutely amazing.
I’m sure the changes to the room will give adequate air exchange and I will be getting another fan to further improve it. This is a prime example of how important fresh air exchange is in the grow room. I took what environment I provided the girls for granted and it ended up biting me in the butt. The movement of air BELOW the canopy is just as important as the air movement between the canopy and the light.
I also topped the girls this week. All were 6 nodes deep and all topped above the 3rd node. Now we watch the side branches make their way into the scrog!
