Hi Growmies, I topped her towards the end of this week and removed two sets of fan leaves. It opened the plant up very nicely in combination with the light LST I applied earlier in the week. The plant is taking very nicely to the LST and didn’t seem to care about the topping either. I attribute this to the strong root system she already has. For the next week I have fed her additionally to the canna nutes, some plant success orca, for healthier roots and Rezin from greenplanet to prepare her for pre flower. Hi Growmies, I feel I had a root issue, may have even been root rod. So as I saw a few of the very deeply submerged roots turning brownish and decay, I decided to generously cut away the affected areas and cleaned everything with hydrogen peroxide as good as I could and then properly rinsed the whole system. It seems, however, like she has started a whole new set of roots that started to submerge after I started feeding the orca from plant success (can be seen in the video below). Can highly recommend this product! She has also not show any signs of stress due the suspected root issues. Other than that she is a super pretty indica lady :) almost crazy how symmetrical she is. I have trained all main colas horizontally until the canopy had evenly opened up. Now I will let her grow towards the scrog and depending on her stretch, I will flip her at some point towards the middle or end of next week. HI Guys, she is not doing to well, she seems to have suffered from root rod, due to a clocked air pump filter (totally my mistake, didn't even now that this needed cleaning). Anyhow, very annoying, lots of cleaning and sterilising I hope she will bounce back and will give her another week to build new roots, if she however won't do that, I will terminate this one and pop another one, as I was actually looking forward to smoking her. It looks like she is already setting up a new set of roots, so 🤞. Hi Growmies, Luckily she has made full recovery, in the tank below and up top :). OST of the root growth I. Observing, I would attribute to the combination of orca, rhizotonic and cannazym. Mainly the orca though ;). I will minimum give her 1–2 more weeks max until I flip her, as it feels like she should have a fairly short flowering phase. Hey Growmies, she has bounced back phenomenally, so much that she has gotten extremely hungry. The feed shown here is the already the strong feeding suggestion, but I first saw a few leaves with a nitrogen deficiency, when I decided to up the veg nutes to pre flower levels, I now started to see signs of magnesium deficiency. I decided to add 10 ml more if calmag to the mix and will see if that’ll fix the issue. Other than that, she has started to develop a massive rootball and almost stretched by 12 cm. Will probably veg her for another 2 weeks by the looks of it and then flip her once she has filled the scrog. She is already starting to smell quite strong for her not even being in pre flower. I also want to point people in the direction of the photone app, a very helpful little helper that’ll help you getting a good guess of the ppms at your canopy. Hi Growmies, She did not take well to the ec of 2.0 that I intended to feed her, so I changed the reservoir again midweek and went down to 1.6, after feeding her canna flush with RO water for 24 hours. She seems very forgiving, as she didn’t even get stunted by the lockout. 4 of the 8 shoots went through scrog and were super cropped underneath the screen. The others should catch up any day now and will be trained in a similar fashion. Rootball looks also amazing. I will experiment with continuously feeding her orca every 3 days, as it feels like the mycorrhizal inoculants seem to go down after 3 days and root growth slows down. Let’s see if it’ll work. She is taking very well too the scrogging not getting stunned from all the bending and massaging. I think that’ll be her last week of veg.
