My first ever real seed grow. I choose an auto flower white widow. I don't have the best equipments but let's see how this goes.
I don't smoke marijuana but I love the smell and the plant itself. I also have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and I would like to look into a cbd strain with less than 1% thc to try instead of my prescribed medication. so if anyone know a strain like that please let me know.
Why's my plant taking so long to grow? Is it because I don't have a carbon filter? I think I started nutrients a little too early, and I was over watering. Now I'm watering every 2 or 3 days depending on the moisture of the pot. I'm thinking of doing LST so if anyone have any advice please let me know. Day 19.....so I have my plant in a she'd out back. It is enclosed but not insulated. The weather is changing to fall and the humidity dropped to about 30%. I bought a few supplies to accommodate the weather. Hopefully it get here by day 23. I will not be taking my plants inside until January. So I have to invest in appliances to keep me going until then. Day 21..... Why is my plant taking so long to get taller? The leaves are definitely getting bigger. I'm just worried that I'll end up with a very short plant. I had to do 24 hour lights because the temperature drops to about 60° at night. Also have to keep misting every few hours to keep the humidity at 50%. Still waiting on my supplies
Hello ! Well at that stage your humidity can be around 70% (even 80 for a seedling or young three ) so yours are a bit too low for that stage but 56% is perfect in early mid flowering but will need to get as low as 30% for the last flowering weeks. Your temperatures are a bit low but 24°C is still managable for a whole grow cycle but you night temperature must be lower so be carrreful about the gap between day temps and night temps . Don't worry about having a carbon filter or not , it's nothing that helping the plant to grow it just hide the plants odors / smell so it can't slow your grow. Be careful about the wet/dry of your soil , don't let it be moist in continue, allow it to dry a bit before you water it again. About your LST it's too late if you wanna bend your main stem but wait about 2 weeks and I think it will be possible. I hope it will help you 😁👍
So at day 22 I got a small grow tent (36"x20"x63" because it's starting to get cold outside and plant was in a not so insulated shed. Hopefully my grow light will keep her warm enough for now. I will eventually have to invest in a small space heater with a thermostat. She's been though a lot of obstacles (temperature, humidity etc.) But I must say she's looking a lot better. I am open to any suggestions and thanks to the guys that gave me some info. I'm looking to get a cheap efficient fix for heating for my grow tent, if anyone have any suggestions please let me know. Day 23......so my little grow tent is is doing it's job. Temperature is staying at about 78 to 82° so I'm a little happy. Still running grow light constantly until I figure out a way to heat efficiently. I do notice some water inside my tent but I do have a an inlet fan coming soon but I might just use it as an exaust. Day 24 bigger and prettier. She growing, I guess I'm doing something right😊. Day 25...... installed an exaust fan because I was getting sweat inside my tent because it's (my grow tent) is in a shed and with the heat inside the tent and the temp in the shed. Hopefully this helps my situation. I also got temperature sensor hooked up to a heated bulb so we'll see where this goes. But my plant is growing fine for now and I'm actually seeing some growth. Let me know what you guys think.
Day 29. She's still growing, not as fast as I would like by I'm learning. I noticed 2 or 3 leaves are getting a little yellow. I will try to take a better picture so the experts can give me an idea what to do. Also gave her a feeding today. I'm thinking about giving her a flush in a few day and just give her some Cal/mag. Day 31 .... she's looking a bit better.
Day 33 I plucked the older bigger leaves. Day 34 she looks better.
Week 5 and still small. I noticed my plant was getting some yellowing. I started reading and watching videos to try to figure out how and where to start. First I noticed the bigger leaves but after a few days so was the smaller ones too. I decided to check my ph. so I flushed her with water with a pH of 6.0. The run offwas at about 4.5. I kept flushing until it was about 5.8. when I check my nutrients pH it was 6.0 pH but when it run off I was getting a steady 5.5. I eventually pH my nutrients to a flat 7.0 and then my run off was about 6.2. From now on I will be checking my ph everytime I water my plants. I do hope that this will solve the yellowing of my plant. Feel free to comment and let me Know what you guys think. I will have more pictures as the week goes on. Day 37.....omg I'm loosing my mind my pH was 4.7 again. I flushed and flushed with a 6.0ph but it was just moving up by decimals. I finally decided to raise my flush pH to about 8.0 and finally after about 6 flushes the pH on the run off went up to a 5.8. Hope I don't have to do this every time... Day 39- gave her another flush because the run off was still at about 5.0. I found some lime in my garage and added it to her Coco and it definitely worked. pH is about 5.8 hopefully it stays this way.
Day 40....I put her in a grow bag(should have done this earlier) added some more Coco and gave her a light feeding. She's definitely looking better and the run off is at a 5.8ph 😊. Last day of week 5(day49) did some LST on her today. I always taught growing this plant would be easy for me, I do have a lot to learn. Hopefully will all this reading,watching videos and trial and error will help me in the long run
My leaves on plant getting yellow at week 4. Gave her a flush for a few days with a pH of 6.0 but the run off stayed at 4.8. continued flushing with a high pH of 8.0 then the run off went down to 5.8. I did add peat moss to my Coco/perlite. Could that cause the pH to be low?
Well , I've noticed a few things here that may help you with your yellowing leaves . I've noticed that your PH is fluctuating by a lot this isn't good and is going to lead to mega problems . The first thing you wanna do is correct that in a soiless mix your ideal PH is 6.2 - 6.4 this will prevent nutrient lock outs from happening so that your plant can absorb all the nutrients in your medium . Fluctuating your PH will also cause your plant to go into shock because 1 days its getting what it needs and the next its not and so on it also makes the root zone to "hot" , so its best you adjust your PH to a prime level and try to be as consistent as possible with it . Another reason you might be getting that yellow is from over watering a tip I can suggest to you is get yourself some saucers and bottom feed your plants this way the plant will only drink what it wants and leave the rest this will help BIG TIME in not over watering your plants although hard to do at later stages of its life it still can be over watered in its adult life . Last but not least your nutrient line , your in veg but your boosting the PK really really really hard your giving your plants the wrong food at this time . I would correct that and only boost PK when pre-flowers start to show in order to facilitate their growth .
Once you adjust the nutrient feeding I would lower the dosage and add a little more CalMg . I hope the information provided here helps you !
This girl's been struggling for a while now. I'm really thinking about cutting her down. pH is perfect, temperature are good, humidity is good. IDK what else to do. Day 49...... she's still alive. I trimmed out the burnt leaves and I'm seeing some green. I'll keep her in my tent to see how long she last. Hopefully I'll get to see her bud up. I've been feeding her very light everyday and flushing her every other day. Everything is pH to 5.8 to 6.0. I don't have an issue no more with her being too acidic. I'm thinking about giving her a stronger feeding to see what happens.
Wow week 7 and this thing is still alive without any signs of a pistol. Hit her hard with the nutrients today. It's either she live or die. I was having a ventilation problem which I just fixed. Hope that wasn't the reason for her stunted growth. All pH is tested before I feed and it's been staying within the 5.8 to 6.2 mark. Temperature is constantly around 75-78°f and humidity is around 50%to 65%. I also just started another strain from a different breeder in the same tent and it's been doing a lot better so far. I'll update more pictures during the week so we'll see where she ends up. Gave her another feeding today (day53). She's looking a lot greener. I'm impressed
Wow..week 8. Shouldn't she be flowering by now? She's doing a lot better, her leaves are green again and she's growing. I'm proud of her. added some co2 to the tent, I'm curious to see what happens. Day 60.... I'm bringing back her to life. 😊. Day 63 I believe she's alive with all that green
No flowering yet. She's very bushy and low. I raised the grow light as high as I can and in the space of 24 hours I noticed she got a little taller. I also defoliated afew leaves. Hopefully she goes into flower by next week. Flower or no flower this plant came a long way and I'm proud of myself for still having her alive. Now I know my do's and don't. I'll post more pictures during the week. Did anyone have an auto flower that took this long to flower? Day 66.....so upset, I tried to do some LST on her and one of her branch snapped. It's so hard to LST when she's so bushy. And I don't want to defoliate too much. Decided to do a 20/4 lighting schedule to see if she would start flowering. The only thing is that I have my other grow in the same tent. Day67....Since the grow light was raised, I noticed that she stretching up a bit which is a good thing I guess. She's so bushy. Finally I see some white hairs at day 70 yay. Day 71.... started seeing a lot more white hairs all over her.
I know she was stressed a few weeks ago, but why isn't she flowering yet. I don't think I even see her white hairs. Can someone explain this and what I should do to get her to flower?
Hello ! Put her under a 12/12 light schedule because If after 9 weeks she's still.not flowering It must mean that she's a light sensitive strain and not an Autoflowering ( it happens some times) . Autoflowering are ruderalis crossed with indica/ sativas or hybrids so sometimes and even with a good selection from the breeders , some plants keep the photoperiodic genes. Day 73....gave her a flush today with some ph6.0 water. I'm noticing some spots on some of her leaves(I'll share more pictures of them). There's white hairs everywhere. So that deficiency might be a low pH. I don't know why my medium is getting so acidic. Did a flush and added some lime, it helped the last time. Hopefully I see this plant through flowers. Day 76....this plant is just loving life right now. Bus sites are getting bigger day by day. There's at least 10 bud sites, hopefully they all turn out to be fat and sticky. Day 77... doing good, no complains. Had a low pH run off earlier this week but I fixed asap.
New week, let see what this week would be like. She's doing good so far, I'm enjoying this very much. There's at least 10 bud sites on this plant, will it all turn out to be colas? I'm not going to defoliate any leaves, I'll just let her liveher life. Day 81....she drinks one gallon every 2 days. I defoliated a hand full of leaves. I read that some people do and don't, u just want to see for myself. We'll see how she likes it. Day 82.... she's doing well,is her buds fattening fast enough? What can I do to make them fatten fast? Day 83... she's doing well, no complains. I've been doing a lot of research on nutrients and what will suit me better? In my next grow I would like to deal with less pH fluctuations. Nothing much to say about my grow this week. Gave he a flush with pH 6.0 to kick off the week. Day 86..... Gave her a feeding today a whole gallon. Ive been doing some research and maybe I'm feeding my plants a little too much nutrients. So from now on I will be feeding a lot less and the next day I will feed just plain water. So my plants will get nutrients every 3 or 4 days. I also bought a few advanced nutrients supplements which I'll be experimenting with. Day 87... Gave her a feeding today of advanced nutrients Nirvana and voodoo juice and pH to 5.9.
Day 88.....gave her a 2l feeding today of nutrients. Also defoliated some of her big fan leaves.
She's doing pretty well but it seems like her buds are not fattening fast. I added some new advanced nutrients supplements so we'll see how this week go. How will I know
When to do the week flush with plain water? I have no idea, I guess that will be my research for this week. Day 95.... still waiting on my portable microscope, should be here by tomorrow. Praying to the BUD God's for her buds to fatten up. Is it possible to harvest half of a plant? Day 97.....buds are getting a bit fatter. No complains, everything is perfect with this girl
Having good quality light does help, but changing it to 24/0 won't help at this point in my opinion. There are various bud builders, like using molasses is a natural way, humic acid or amino acid products. Advanced nutrients has big bud. Pk boosters like beastie blooms by fox farm.
All plants are different with trichromes but i think a 2-3 week period they'll change significantly.

Day 99....I'm ready to harvest this plant, she had a long life with a lot of deficiencies but she still pulled through. This is my first grow and she taught me a lot. I notice that some of her buds look ready and some don't. I don't know if I should cut the buds that are ready and leave the rest but I think that by doing that I will stress her out. We'll see how this week goes, I'm going to cut down on the nutrients and see what happens. Day 100... she's doing good. Gave her a nice feeding today. I'm just going to let her live life for the next 2 or 3 weeks. This is my first grow so that why I'm this anxious. Day 102.....her buds are starting to swell a bit better. I noticed she has a nitrogen toxicity so I just gave her a plain watering today with a pH of 5.8. I must say that this plant had a lot of issues but with the help of some of the growers and constantly watching and reading she doing pretty damn good in my eyes. Again, I'm a beginner and to put this plant back on the map, I did pretty darn good. Day 105......last day of week 14. She's looking good, trichomes are starting to get cloudy so for week 15, I will flush with plain water for five days and trim her down.
Week 15....day 106. She's just going to get plain pH 6.0 water for the next few days. I know she wouldn't yield a lot but this plant taught me a lot so I'm satisfied with that. I'm sure from here out you guys will see better yields and quality from me. Day 108.... nothing much has changed but some of her old leaves are getting yellow and brown. Her buds are looking better every day. Day 109... Nothing changed. Day 111.....this plant still looks healthy because my ppm was at 1000. Gave her a couple of flushes and bought it down to about 200. I'll chop her down at the end of this week. Day 112.....last day for this girl, trichomes are looking good, she's not big but I'm loving it. I trimmed most of the big leaves down, I'll chop her down tomorrow and put her in my diy dryer. Very sticky buds, my fingers were sticking together even the clippers were sticking too. There was a lot of ups and downs with this plant. It was my first time growing cannabis. I did learn a lot from other growers which I really appreciate it, thanks to grow diaries for that. She was doing well at first, I never checked her runoff pH and at about day 30 I noticed her leaves were not as green as they should have been. The runoff ended up being a 4.7ph. she almost died, I taught about chopping her down and starting over. I'm happy I didn't, she ended up bouncing back, took a long time to harvest but it was well worth it for the experience. Didn't really care about harvest weight. I learnt a lot and I'm satisfied with that. Thanks to everyone that helped me on this grow.
