Hey everyone!! Back again with another Purple Lemonade diary. I've upgraded my light from a 100w Vivosun to a 200w Viparspectra so I'm running 2 of these whores at the same time. They both popped up and I'm gonna tell them like I told the last bitch: I hope you got your walking shoes on because we're going places.
This is the end of week 1. These ho's seem to be doing pretty good. One of the sluts is smaller than the other because she popped up a day later. That's alright---the bitch can still make daddy some money. I didn't take into account the increased heat from going with a bigger light. I've got an inline fan coming tomorrow so hopefully that helps.
This was a good week for both of these slutbags. This is my second grow so I think I'm gonna start LST on both of these whores when I get off work tonight. I gave the cunts a good dose of Recharge last night. I'm interested to see how it affects growth. Also, I'm experimenting with how much light I can shower on these bitches. My PPFD is right around 650 at the moment and they aren't showing any signs of light stress so I'm gonna lower it some more tonight. BTW... I love this new Viparspectra P2000 I got. Seems to be doing very well.
These bitches are making this grow really fun to learn and experiment on. I tried some LST on purp1 and the whore has responded very well. Next time I know I can bend this dirty slut over way more because she loves it. I topped purp2 at the 3rd node and the cunt hardly skipped a beat. There's some discoloration of the lower leaves but I'm pretty sure that's due to my light being too close. I need to just cut it off but I was waiting for the ho to recover fully from the topping before I gave her a haircut. Backed the light off to 24"@75% power and they are now stretching a bit more which they needed. Also, purp1 is showing signs of pre-flower; white pistils in multiple locations. Here comes the stretch!!! Bring it on bitches!!
For those that have experience with the light I'm using, Viparspectra P2000, how high and what intensity percentage should I have it? Currently I'm at 21" at 75% power. Also, I run it 24/7. I have an app on my phone and it says my DLI is at like 56 which seems way too high.
For the Viparspectra P2000 LED light, the height and intensity settings can depend on the growth stage of your plants and the specific light requirements. However, here are some general guidelines:
Height:
During the vegetative stage, keep the light higher, around 24-30 inches above the canopy.
In the flowering stage, you can lower it to around 18-24 inches, adjusting as needed based on plant response.
Intensity:
Vegetative stage: 60-80% intensity
Flowering stage: 80-100% intensity
Light Schedule:
While a 24/7 light schedule can work, many growers prefer a 18/6 (18 hours on, 6 hours off) or 12/12 (12 hours on, 12 hours off) cycle to mimic natural daylight and allow plants a resting period.
DLI (Daily Light Integral):
DLI of 56 is relatively high. A DLI of 30-40 is often recommended for the vegetative stage, while 40-50+ is suitable for flowering.
If your plants are showing signs of stress (e.g., light burn or heat stress), you may need to reduce either the light intensity or duration. Happy growing🍀
These whores are coming along nicely. Both have begun to flower. Purp1 is farther along than the other but I think it's because I stressed the slutbag by topping her. Either way, both look okay but I'm having trouble figuring out this new light. I'm running 24hrs at 21"--75% intensity but the app on my phone says 56 DLI which is too high I think. Well, it looks like these bitches are gonna stay short. This is my second grow and I wanted to experiment with various training techniques. I think in the beginning with purp1, I didn't bend the slut over far enough (she's a dirty whore) and my LST came out not nearly like I wanted it to. Lesson learned. With purp2, I topped the dumb bitch and she responded well but afterwards I think I went overboard with the defoliation and stressed her out too much. Either way, I think both of the cum drunk gutter sluts are doing fine now as they are praying to the light. Speaking of the light, I originally started at 24/0 but they were showing signs of light stress so I slowly changed it to 18/6 and they are doing much better. Also, I'm using 1 gallon bags and I think that also has something to do with them being short. I've learned a lot so far and can't wait to apply this knowledge to my next grows.
It's been a good week for these tampon tunnels. The buds are starting to fatten up on both the whores. Purp1 is way more frosty but the other slut is catching up. Purp2 has some awesome purple coloring coming out. Both of the sluts are kinda small but really pretty 😍. I'm experimenting with the new light I got in that I wanna see how close I can get it to the canopy without any stress or damage. Right now it's at 15" & 100% power and they both seem to love it as they're praying. Until next week...
So I went on vacay last Friday and I didn't get back until today. I got some of those AC Infinity self-watering bases and they worked better than I expected. I thought for sure these bitches would be dead or at least droopy but instead they got fat and frosty as hell. The main cola on purp1 is super thick. Purp2, that slut looks freaking amazing with the coloration on her. Both of these whores smell skunky and lemony as hell and it's glorious. When I got back today I hit both of the thunder cunts with some Recharge because of the neglect the past week. Now it's back to the regular feed/water schedule. These hos still have a few more weeks to walk the block and make daddy some money
These sluts did pretty damn good. I will def grow this strain again. I harvested them at day 57. I think growing them in 1 gallon bags caused them to finish early. Next time I'm gonna go with 3 gallon bags and see how big they get. Trichomes were 80% cloudy, 10% clear, & 10% amber.
Once again, Fastbuds knocked it out of the park with these whores. These cunts were super easy to grow and didn't give me any trouble at all. I learned a lot; especially how NOT to do LST. Now I know that I can bend these bitches over 90 degrees and the main stem won't snap. Also, Recharge will increase nutrient uptake, especially N, so next time I can dial it back a little. All in all, I had a great time and these hos will put out like hos do.
@Vegetoo420, yea this is my second time with this strain. So glad I got a purple pheno!! She smells so much different than the green one. Straight lemon gas!!

As far as topping goes, as long as my plants are healthy beforehand, I'm gonna do it every time in the future; especially with strains like this one that are normally pretty tall to begin with. My last grow with this strain, she outgrew my tent and I had to put her in the bedroom closet. My wife was mad as a hornet!! Lesson learned. Seriously though, the one I topped has a nice even canopy and it didn't really stunt her at all. Thumbs up!

regarding defo in flower:
Im doing last strong Defo Day 15-21 in Flower - after this only little tucks here and there if needed. But try to reduce stress that plants focus only in buds and not covering some other stress. Ive tried another thing this run (doing Day 15 and then Day 40 - but not the best I guess. haha so I would still Stay with Day15-21 and then if needed somewhere but only like pretty less. In general after strong defo you should give them at least 2 weeks to recover before doing another strong one (especially in flower or after lollipopping)

Nice looking buds! I’m in week 9 with my Purple Lemonade auto. Seed from MSNL. First indoor grow. Seems to be doing well but this particular bean didn’t have the purple pheno. I see you had to try a few times to get one. Oh well, I have a few more chances.
