Disclaimer: I fill my diaries on the go and update them during the week. So if you like to get all the information and pics of innocent plants getting the herbie101 treatment, always check back on the last week to get the FULL picture (of a grower trying hard not to kill his plants). Thank you, have a wonderful week and happy growing!
plans for this week: So with the repotting the ladies are in their forever home (12l/3gal) and so far they do very good. This week will be very exciting, because if the ladies grow as i expect then we will be setting up the mainline at the end of this week! Besides that we keep focussing on soil health and strengthening their root system. For setting up the mainline we want them to:
- have 6 nodes (we will top to the third node)
- be lush, vibrant and healthy
- have as big of a rootsystem they can get
For achieving that, we want to do as little with them as possible and try to get the watering as good as we can. I try to water them every three days, so that they have plenty of time to dig for water.
Day 21: Look whos still there! John made herself a nice leaf! She's still not giving up and because my wife protects her, she stays woth the others. Cap and Daisy seem to be developing nicely. I can't find any issues at the moment, so it doesn't get any better. I won't feed them with nitrogen this week, maybe next week. But they should have plenty in their soil storage right now. I introduced some Acti Vera, because who does not love some Aloe goodness. So we try to spoil them before we massacre them later on. Today they got 1l of nutewater each. We start conservatively and look how fast they drink and adjust it every watering. Looks good, feels good!
Day 22: Daisy is pushing herself upwards and Cap is just bulking, while John is picking up some impressive pace! Humidity is down to 50-60% and temps are still 25Β°-26Β°, because i leave the tent open since I turned the lights up to 60%.
Day 24: The pots were really dry today, so i gave the girls a neat watering with nutes (PH 6.4) and since it's thursday, it's time for the midweek formcheck. May our contestants step on the scale, please!
Daisy: Oh you little sweetheart! Daisy just does things perfect. The first month, she just floated through life with all glitters and bliss. She got a nice colour, no spots and a good size. She prays all day every day. Our daisy is now 15cm in height and 24cm in width. She is still the tallest lady at the party and is working on their sitxth node! Well done honey, you get a nice haircut this weekend!
Cap: Captain Falcon likes huge gains. She did not spend much time on praying, but compensates with heavy workouts. She's not as pretty as daisy, but boy she puts on some mass in no time. She seems to munch through the soil like a bodybuilder in the supplementsshop and darkened noticeably after repotting. She is now 15cm tall and 32cm in diameter! Today she looked a bit droopy (with strength in her leaves), but i hope she feels better after the snack. Cap you also get a nice mohawk tomorrow!
John: Well little johnny is far from giving up. I don't know what to do with her, but she powers forward. In fact, she made probably the most progress this week and is now 6cm in height and 12cm in width! Well done little Johnny! Your the pacemaker now! You can keep your faboulous hair buddy! Looking nice!
Day 25: Welcome to herbies barber shop ladies! Today we'll handout some haircuts for you lovely girls. It'll make you look much younger i promise! *scissors snapping* Daisy got some nice bangs *snipsnip* and cap gets a tough mohawk *snippedy* After your hair treatment you can relax in our bamboo shack and i hope you get used to it! Its always weird at first!
So the snippening is happening. Cap and daisy both were done with their sixth node, so we topped down to node nr. 3. and cleared all growth underneath. I got a bit crafty and installed some bamboo sticks for attaching the coated wire. But for now we just let them chill and when they drank up, they'll get some nice and nutritious recoveryshake with some tasty kelp, aloe and microbes.
I think i easily could have topped them earlier, but one of my overall themes for this grow is patience. So i always try to wait just a bit longer than i would do normally. Let's see if they recover from that butchering. Fingers crossed!
Day 27: Cap and Daisy responded very well to the cutting and after a day of caring about their wounds, they are back pushing out leaves. They sipped on the rest of their drink yesterday and today only the lower third of the soil was
damp. So bartender herbie mixed them a nice cocktail. Because we are approaching week 4, i added 1ml of fishmix. I think maybe i could wait another watering with adding nitrogen, but it feels saver that way.
So they got 2l of nutewater each. I like to water every 3-4 days, thats why i don't want to give them too much.
I carefully LST'd the main branches to give them some guidance. We'll see how they take it.
@Herbie101, hallo schaue mal bei ACE SEEDS vorbei die haben sehr viele und schΓΆne old school Sativas aber auch neue Sorten und sehr gut beschrieben sogar Labor test bei manchen Sorten.
@@OimRausch, Echt? Klasse! Wieder was gelernt, Danke dir! Und ja klar: Original ist immer besserπ Aber ich bin sehr gespannt auf die Interpretation von den Rippersπ
@Herbie101,
Superstrains wΓ€r die Originale.. ich hat n Diary ΓΌber die gemacht.. tolles Zeug..Rippers Amnesia is auch super nice, aber die Originale ist besserπ
@HippyHemulen, I never tried dutch passions amnesia, but the fucke up short memory was real with the amsterdam amnesia i got over there. Such a fine smoke with a nice euphoria. Would be awesome if the ripper haze would scratch that itch. More of the stoney "what the fuck did i wanna do here"- moments. Lovin it π
I'm very curious about the sour ripper as well! I love the classic old school strains brought up to new life. I also wanna try barneys acapulco gold, but my growspace is just too tiny for all the things i want to grow! ππ
@Herbie101, Sour ripper is my watchlist cause im sour lover and ofc their classic Zombie kush need to be tested too. You tried Dutch passions Amnesia? Atleast they claim its original amnesia? Smoked many years ago some amnesia what was imported from Holland and that really fucked short memory like name says what i remember. π
happy growing, Herb!π
Keep spoiling themπ, they will reward you for your love with some beautiful, shiney, frosty, fat budsπ

@D33jW, Thank youuu! I would love to be better at it. But comes time, comes experience! But never forget to have fun with what you doing.π happy growing buddy!π±ππ
Followed, look forward to watching your grow. Amnesia Haze ehh? I may need to give this strain a try some day... I've heard great things and am a fan of super lemon haze.
@Browncoatgrows, Thanks a lot! I'm very happy to have you! If you like SLH you should try Amnesia! My wife was a lemon haze lover 10 years ago and Amnesia is by far her favourite strain now. They don't taste that different as far i can remember, but Amnesia has just that special twist (and a lot of nostalgia) which makes it unique for me.
@@justsomedude420, Thanks a lot buddy! π Yeah that's such a great moment! I still have doubts about the third one in this run, but two plants are enough π
