Disclaimer: I fill my diaries on the go and update them during the week. So if you like to get all the information and pics of innocent plants getting the herbie101 treatment, always check back on the last week to get the FULL picture (of a grower trying hard not to kill his plants). Thank you, have a wonderful week and happy growing!
plans for this week: At the beginning of last week, the girls have been repottet and a few days later i set up the mainline. The ladies seemed to recover pretty fast, so for this week we only got two things on the plan. First, we want to check and adjust the LST at least every other day to keep the main branches flat and even. Second, we are waiting for the mainbranches to get to four nodes, so that we can do our second topping and remove the second nodes of the respective branches alltogether. Then we should have eight maincolas, which is what we are going for. So this weeks theme will be all about LST and training.
Day 28: Yehaaaaw! A full month of seeing these beautiful plants grow up and i could not be happier with how things are going. No trouble untill now, they grow strong and happy. The environment is not perfect but okay to go with. I leave the tent open during the day, because i don't want to worry about temps. We got 25-26Β° on daytime and 20-22Β° during the night. Humidity is around 50-60Β°, lights still dimmed to 60Β° and we try to water them every 3-4 days. No signs of pests so far. And we'll finally add some nitrogen to their diets this week.
John made some vigorous growth last week and has become a beautiful little plant. The John-Rambo-Effect is real! I am a bit lost, because i don't know what to do with her when space grows tighter. She deserves a lovely space to get big, but i think i just have space for two in the end. But well... let that be a problem of the future herbie! For now i just love her, appreciate her and let her do her thing. π
Captain Falcon and daisy are and will be the leading duo of this show. They are everything a grower can wish for (until now). Cap is the rough diamond, who shines with pure output. She grows fast and vigorous while daisy is just a perfect aesthetic girl.
All in all we are in a perfect spot right now and i'm optimistic that we'll have another two to max three weeks of veg before we let their youth behind and throw the girls into adulthood.
Day 29: What a lucky day! When I opened the tent this morning, the girls welcomed me with a sweet dank smell. I love it when this phase starts! They grew noticably over night, so i'll have to adjust LST today. Finally getting my hands on them regularly! I love growing man! Life is good π
Day 30: The girls are getting their fanleaf-hulaskirt stripped down. They are completely overgrown, so they fulfilled their purpose. But they were pretty dark. Dark enough to take it as a sign to be aware of nitrogen levels, but nothing major. I adjusted the LST to keep them close to their bamboo home. They are starting to work on their fourth node now. So the second topping is coming closer.
Cap is ready to be watered, daisy is still pretty well saturated in the bottom half of the pot. So tomorrow the girls are gonna get some water. More for cap, less for daisy and no additional nitrogen for the rest of the week.
Day 31: It's thursday my dudes! So its time for the weekly inspection with doc herbie. *latex gloves snapping*
Captain Falcon does what she does best. She's growing like a weed! She produces the biggest foliage of all the girls while she munches through the soil like crazy. She's pretty stuffed on nitrogen, leaftips are dark green and i feel like she's cruising on the edge of a little toxicity. No burnt tips yet, but we're close. Besides that she's healthy and vibrant. A real champion! Height 12cm, diameter 35cm.
Daisy can keep up with cap! She trains hard and put on some pretty beefy arms during the last week. She has slimer leaves and doesn't drink as fast as Cap. She's a more moderate girl, but she does everything with beauty. She also has some pretty dark leaftips and is full on nitrogen.
Besides that she's everything a grower can dream of. Height 15cm, diameter 30cm.
John is playing on her own terms. She made some impressive foliage and i decided to top her today. I still have no clue how i can fit her in, but i'm gonna try to. She's a fighter and i want to give her the chance to shine. We'll find a way. She's looking perfect! Height 10cm, diameter 20cm.
Day 32: Yesterday, i made an impulsive decision and topped all three ladies. I thought there is no point in waiting any longer. The plants were healthy and vibrant and i guess a shorter vegphase would be better than a longer one. Especially because of my fear of the potential height of the plants after the stretch (and Ripper Seeds recommends just 1-2 weeks of veg). For my understanding i'm now in my second week of veg, because until repotting they're just seedlings. So i don't want to veg for more than double the recommended time.
I also topped John... Just that she doesn't feel excluded. π
We topped both mainbranches to the third node and removed the second node alltogether on both girls. So Daisy and Cap now got two nodes with two growthtips on each side. That means these will be our final eight colas we wanted to achieve.
Now all the toppings are done and we wait how things will unfold. I'll wait two weeks max until we'll switch to flower. I just want to give them enough time to recover and to let the new tops grow out a bit. Our mainjob now should be spoiling the girls and LST the branches to spread them out a bit and get them to the same height. As soon as that happens, we're gonna push the button. At least thats what i plan to do, we'll see how it goes.
Day 33: The ladies look a bit rough today. A bit of droopy leaves, A hint of yellowing, but that could as well be my paranoia or something on my glassesπ But i noticed that they were dry already. So i gave them a feeding of PH'd (6.8) 1.5l of nutewater (with fishmix) each. I hope they'll bounce back soon. Could be a combination of stress and bad watering. We'll see π
Day 34: The girls looked a lot better today. They also made some noticable progress. So my stupid ass could not wait and put them through a serious LST workout... and took off some big fan leaves... Well... i hope they manage to take it well, i think i should have waited another day. But today i had some free time and you know...π
Anyway... Last day of the week and Daisy is a bit light on colour for my taste. We''ll have an eye on that.
@Herbie101, hallo schaue mal bei ACE SEEDS vorbei die haben sehr viele und schΓΆne old school Sativas aber auch neue Sorten und sehr gut beschrieben sogar Labor test bei manchen Sorten.
@@OimRausch, Echt? Klasse! Wieder was gelernt, Danke dir! Und ja klar: Original ist immer besserπ Aber ich bin sehr gespannt auf die Interpretation von den Rippersπ
@Herbie101,
Superstrains wΓ€r die Originale.. ich hat n Diary ΓΌber die gemacht.. tolles Zeug..Rippers Amnesia is auch super nice, aber die Originale ist besserπ
@HippyHemulen, I never tried dutch passions amnesia, but the fucke up short memory was real with the amsterdam amnesia i got over there. Such a fine smoke with a nice euphoria. Would be awesome if the ripper haze would scratch that itch. More of the stoney "what the fuck did i wanna do here"- moments. Lovin it π
I'm very curious about the sour ripper as well! I love the classic old school strains brought up to new life. I also wanna try barneys acapulco gold, but my growspace is just too tiny for all the things i want to grow! ππ
@Herbie101, Sour ripper is my watchlist cause im sour lover and ofc their classic Zombie kush need to be tested too. You tried Dutch passions Amnesia? Atleast they claim its original amnesia? Smoked many years ago some amnesia what was imported from Holland and that really fucked short memory like name says what i remember. π
happy growing, Herb!π
Keep spoiling themπ, they will reward you for your love with some beautiful, shiney, frosty, fat budsπ

@D33jW, Thank youuu! I would love to be better at it. But comes time, comes experience! But never forget to have fun with what you doing.π happy growing buddy!π±ππ
Followed, look forward to watching your grow. Amnesia Haze ehh? I may need to give this strain a try some day... I've heard great things and am a fan of super lemon haze.
@Browncoatgrows, Thanks a lot! I'm very happy to have you! If you like SLH you should try Amnesia! My wife was a lemon haze lover 10 years ago and Amnesia is by far her favourite strain now. They don't taste that different as far i can remember, but Amnesia has just that special twist (and a lot of nostalgia) which makes it unique for me.
@@justsomedude420, Thanks a lot buddy! π Yeah that's such a great moment! I still have doubts about the third one in this run, but two plants are enough π
