Black D.O.G. First Indoor Grow

Just germinated these 4, all of them sprouted, 2 of them much fast than the other 2 My first indoor grow of photo plants

Things looking ok,trying to figure out watering and feeding Just moved them to 7 gallon smart pots, which I’ve heard can be an adjustment period when watering as I’m used to growing in plastic buckets. soil is pro mix HP which feels very airy, with air pots there should be lots of oxygen to the roots

Temps are high, I will do what I can to lower them Watering is also a challenge and it’s hard to tell the difference between under and over watering Over all happy with how it has started out 👍

Got temps down to around 81.8 degrees now.... Contemplating on manifolding these, but I’m reluctant as it seems extreme

Phase 2 of the manifolding process by nebula, topped at the fourth node and cleaned out the 3rd node, keeping the 1st and 3rd node at each side, essentially creating 8 colas

Starting to bounce back Noticed some cal/mag defiency so I’ve added some pro cal Just trying to dial in the amount and frequency of feeding

Tied each cola down, adjusting tightness of the ties every day or two Lots of growth so far looking good

Last week I learned a ton, about watering and cal/mag deficiency Since I identified these issues the plants have really responded I think if i go with the manifolding method again I can shorten this veg time

I’m hoping this is the last week before I flip to 12/12 Lots of new bud sites are forming I tied them down again, hopefully for the last time Temp are down now to around 78 degrees, not sure why, not complaining but I haven’t changed anything Dropped the lights to 24” above the canopy now, when I flower I will try to go to 18” I added a small humidifier to bring up the humidity inside the tent

The flip!! I defoliated a bit, I will be going in again and removing some more of the fan leaves and open the plants up a bit and let the light get in The humidifier has bought me up from 33% to anywhere between 45% to as high as 52% Plants are A lot more thirsty now so I’m watering every 2nd day now Started with the bud candy, stopped the B52 Cal/mag deficiency seems to be gone now that they are getting a steady diet of pro cal The smell is getting stronger Also my temps are done to around 77 now (day 4 of flower) with 50% humidity on average which I can tell the plants are responding bc the leaves are not curling as much, also they have much more vigor I defoliated again (day 3 of flower) a bit aggressively and I wouldn’t won’t deal defoliate again until late flower

The stretch is on I’ve added the big bud They look happy to me, I am going to spot remove a few fan leaves here and there Lots of new bud sites and pre-flowers developing I am a starting to get excited 😍😍😍😍 I have defoliated quite a bit but they are very bushy

Lots of buds forming Ongoing defoliation bc they are so bushy Got rid of the voodoo juice and brought back the B-52, and started with the nirvana. Upped the ratio slightly for the mid to late flower run Nebula’s manifold tutorial that I have been using, says to do a major defoliation during week 3, I have done this and way more light is penetrating the entire plant Not sure if I have mentioned this before but it’s my first attempt at manifolding so I have been using this tutorial as a guide ****one day after a major defoliation and they are already looking very vigorous, like they won’t miss a beat, I took literally a grocery bag full of fan leaves off the 4 plants and they haven’t flinched

Now we are talkin!!!!!! 😍😍😍 The buds are already getting fatter and stacking up nicely I find my self defoliating every day to fight the leaf growth, these ladies get bushy after a few days They smell incredible already, that sweet kush aroma is already present I noticed a small bit of burning on the leaf tips, so I watered with straight RO’d water last time I fed them Let the good times roll

Flowers getting bigger every day 😍😍😍 Dropped the big bud, brought in the overdrive Reluctant to pull that many more leaves off of them, they are so dam bushy

Flowers swelling up now, looking great Turned off the humidifier last week, I don’t want to risk any mold or mildew forming airflow is good inside the tent, but i still don’t want the humidity above 45% What can I say, I’m starting to get very excited, super impressed by these ladies, so vigorous

I flushed them on day 48 with straight R/O water No more nutes, hoping to get a good 10-14 day flush Swelling more and more each day, getting more and more frosty each day

Any day now I think, still not too many amber trichomes The smell is intense now, when I open the tent my basement smells very strongly Still just watering with straight R/O water I plan to do 2 days of darkness before I harvest

I found a grow diary on here that inspired me to try manifolding. I found a great tutorial online, nebula’s manifolding tutorial, it was great and easy to follow. This is my first Indoor grow, I had some minor heat issues at the beginning, but it wasn’t an issue down the stretch. I attribute that to the quantum boards and there minimal heat output. They really are great grow lights. Shoutout to HLG Canada. The strain was very vigorous, they bounced back from the topping and manifolding quite fast. They were very bushy and I had to do quite a bit of defoliation. The buds were beautiful and huge, and the yield was way beyond my expectations, at 535 grams!!!! Shout out to humboldt Seed organization, for great genetics!!!
