OK montererey BT is the Bacillus Thuringiensis, and yes it works wonderful. I had to repeat after 6 weeks to keep the lil foggers away

Hi @Pauwela! You should avoid spraying neem-oil (and any other product) around ~3 weeks before harvest. Pest control must be done during the veg stage, it's much harder once flowers are here. You can still apply neem oil if you do it carefully with a sponge, on the leaves only, but this is time consuming and won't kill all the invaders. Direct contact between buds and neem oil will 1/ruin the terpenes, 2/increase the risk of bud-rot, 3/degrade the trichomes. Hope this will help, happy growing 👊

hey, i dont know why people even suggest using neem oil, and then those very same people will be complaining that it doesnt work very well and that their house and their bud smell and taste like neem oil all the time. put simply : it hardly works and requires a lot of recalls. I've done it before, doesnt work well , the closest thing to neem that i've tried that works is chilli + oil with dishsoap. Second thing i tried that kinda worked is these "foggers" with "safe" pesticide inside them. It's non bio so... no thanks right ? the best thing i tried is what i call biological warfare : using bugs to kill bugs ! this actually works way better, and i never grow without it. Use live ladybugs (you can mail order them i kid you not !) to combat spider mites; use Phytoseiulus persimilis against Tetranychus urticae; use nematodes (Steinernema carpocapsae or Heterorhabditis bacteriophora) against bad worms, etc. etc. ask your shop about what you need or ping me on messenger if you need help. It's pretty easy to do - just follow the instructions on the packet. Hey ! at least it works and wont make your plant taste like garbage... hope this helps ! 🚀

Hey pauwela, did you come across any bugs when harvesting? I came across some interesting info about an old time grower Cervantes who would do a dip on his buds at harvest to get off any lingering bugs. Great job on the grow ✌️

How do you keep the plants from flowering outside this time of year? I assumed you're in Hawaii and they're less than 12 hours of daylight now.

Re bugs without strong herbals - DE (diatomaceous earth - don’t breathe the dust) sprinkled on the soil surface gets the walkers but it takes time. Best to use preemptively. Hang strips of tape vertically for flyers. A little soda left in a can will attract flyers also

It is surprising to see people's talking about not using neem oil. Maybe ìt would be better to listen for those who tried more than once 👍😉

Hey pauwela, there's incredible lady out there called "The bug lady suzanne" you can find her on instagram etc. But she's brilliant at pest management on anything and does great with tips for cannabis. The best info out of her i found on the kisorganics cannabis cultivation and science podcast on the episodes called either the bug lady or entomologist Suzanne. Give it a listen if you want some great info on pests and solving their problems. ✌️
