Super excited to be on my next grow now! Super skunk seeds from trusty vision seeds :) week 1 was looking good so far, haven’t started giving it any nutrients as of yet, just waiting for the the little girl to get some strength first. Planted two but unfortunately I planted the one prematurely and it never broke the soil surface (R.I.P) buuuut luckily have another seed that’s been germinating and will plant her when due :) I decided to rather have another diary for her due to the time difference and I would also like to experiment differently. Changed it up a bit for for this grow, just using one 300W LED full spectrum light from WATTSHINE :)

I changed my lighting setup for this one and took out the CFL’s from before, I only have a 300W LED grid hanging now. Will this make a difference? And how big ? I also moved the LED a lot closer for this grow. Would the height it’s hanging from now be okey ?

Hi @EuphoricDiaries! Considering you're now on LED, 40cm is a good distance for such a young plant. I think you can even push as close as 25-30cm, if you have a good airflow and if the lamp is not emitting too much heat. Do the universal hand-test to ensure your apical summit won't burn. Switching from CFL to LED should help you to control your temps and avoid heat stress, while giving a better spectrum to your baby. Combining spectrum is also an effective method, you can try later when your plant will enter flowering stage, by mixing CFL+LED you will dramatically increase your yield (as long as your environment remains OK, temps, humidity ...). Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

Firstly, sorry for the lack of photos this week :( I tend get sidetracked whenever with my girls. However growth has been slow this week, all in all plant seems healthy and sturdy though :) will be starting with the feeding next week so im excited to potentially see some faster growth and learn while at it.

Loving week three... Seeing some good stable growth, the size hasn’t picked up a lot in week three and it seems she’s enjoying her nutes :) been giving super light doses, 0.25ml/l of each. When I do give nutes I also add 25% water just after wards. I give bio-grow for my micro environment one water and then fish-mix (also adding 25% water) for my macro level the next water. Any thoughts or advice regarding this feeding schedule ? (Please do notify me if my knowledge regarding macro and micro environments is wrong also) :):) The reason I give such low doses is because when doing research on super skunk (auto) I read that it doesn’t need nutrients, on top of the fact that it’s an auto aaaaand I’m also using a nutrient rich bio-active soil. (Too scared to hurt them) :( Happy growing :)

Nifty little pistols| :D Week 4 has been smooth sailing (happy times) with some of the first preflowers starting to show!! Still got a long way to go though :) Stem look healthy and sturdy as well! SOME things just to query however :) I’ve noticed with this grow and the previous that some of the smaller leaves are curling up their side tips, does go away though. Would just like to ask what’s the cause :) Also when should I stop the veg nutes and switch to bloom and how should this be done:) THANKS and until next week :)

Last week of fish mix I’m thinking then just some bi grow for a while and then onto bloom :) she’s doing well all in all except showing some wrinkled leaves, I’m presuming it’s due to a low humidity. I added a little bucket with ice to try and up the humidity a bit, hopefully it works :D I also did a bit of tucking of the fan leaves to get those branches and bud sites stretching out hopefully! Expecting a big growth spurt in the next two Weeks :D (Added during week 5) I ended up turning to defoliation as an experiment to see the results and I’m quite happy :) I cut eight sun leaves covering the branches to allow those bud sites to start stretching up and developing a bit faster (due to better light penetration). I also did some LST to move the branches out underneath one another. All in all it really seemed to do well thereafter and those branches aren’t developing real nicely :) I stopped with the fish mix and am currently just using bio-grow. I did however up the bio-grow to 0.5ml from 0.25 :)

Helloooo GrowDiariesOfJane ;) Sorry I’ve been off for a while just been a little bit busy. Decided I’ll start adding pictures of the other girl as well, also a little super skunk auto. For the one day I took the pictures just after watering hence the droopiness🙈 but everything is going quite well, SS2 is about 2-3weeks behind SS1 and similar doses of the related bio-bizz products SS1 got some nutrient burn (I believe) so I decided to flush on day 41 and it went back to smooth sailing after that :) Sweeeet, until next week !

Went into week 7 strong, plants are looking super healthy :) really like the canopy that’s developing on SS2, super exciting. Added another CFL 30W to get some light in the corners there for those branches :D I purposefully held the lights at the level they were to try cause a little more low and stockier plant and encourage some horizontal growth to try focus on shorter fatter nugs (experimental) :D The pistols also started developing reeeeaaal nice throughout this week which I’m very happy about, can’t wait to see some trichome development 😎🔥

aaaaaalrighty then, week 8. things are looking good :) Added some wooden stakes and by sticking them into the soil just to create some more spacing out of the canopy and getting some more light penetration onto those bud sites. I did do some “lollipopping” (a slight bit) to the bottoms of both the girls so that all the energy is being used to max efficiency :D definitely saw a dip in growth rate though from the stress but she should bounce back with some nasty nugs :D Until next week :D

Grow Questions
EuphoricDiaries
EuphoricDiariesstarted grow question 6 years ago
Q1: I did a slight bit of “lillipopping”, cutting lower sun leaves and small energy wasting budsites. Along with this and slight bits of LST at this stage will it effect bud density for the better or worse? Q2: would a larger space now be worth the effort (1.5x1.5x2m tent)? Thanks

Keep in mind that the light needed for a 1.5*1.5 (2.25 m2 or 24sq ft) area would be 3 times what you have now (35 to 40 LED watts per sq ft) so around 900 watts, so unless you plan to upgrade your light, there's no point in a bigger tent. Lollipoping will make the plant focus its energy into the top colas and LST will help in keeping an even canopy to make the most of your light

So week 8 hay .... just been loving these past couple of days, insane smell coming off of these girls, got the whole house smelling of some mouth watering skunky herbs :D Trichomes have been developing very very nicely this week, everything is just getting super frosty !! I did some added defoliation for some better light penetration as these two girls are sitting this cupboard super packed. The pistols are shooting out still and buds are starting to develop noticeably, just really hoping for some nice dense awesome nuggies. Going to add another warm 130Watt CFL soon for some extra kick during their last few weeks of flowering :) Also changed my light schedule to 10/2/10/2 On/off/on/off hours of lighting, along with watering 2L every 3rd day now:) Until next week :D

Soooo week 10 :) These girls are looking reeeeaaal nice SS1 (on the left) is <25 days from harvest and SS2 has still a while to go id say 😄 But all in all things are looking super good buds are looking super nice and frooosty with SS1 starting to shift its energy into budding whereas SS2 is still throwing out some wild pistols :) The smell is super strong which I’m happy about, some staaaanky skunkalicious bud🤤 I have stopped giving SS1 nutes, giving her only water after her flush in week 9and she’s doing awesome! SS2 I’m still giving biobizz grow and bloom 0.5ml/l ea. And she is also loving her environment Got some mushies growing in the one pot though 😄 pulled them out just to be safe still have to do some research :) might have something to say about the enviroment at the surface of the soil. ??

These nuggs turned out super dense and coupled with an intense skunk aroma. Really happy with these genetics and the way this grow turned out :) I left the one girl 10 days longer and put her in a dark room for 3 days before harvest and I must say huge difference! super keen for the next one !
