Hello. This is the beginning of my diary of Blackberry Moonrocks.
I haven't had a good berry strain for about 5 years now and I'm hoping this is the one I want.
This strain is going in my large greenhouse this summer. I plan to make seeds with the strain Panty Punch which is 90% indicia.
The soak water I use is - 2 cups of filtered water with a pinch (the measuring spoon said 0.3 ml) of cinnamon and 4 drops of 30% Hydrogen Peroxide.
I purchase these seeds from Sensible Seeds. Got a great price on the 25 seed packs, same price as the 10 seed packs.
Indicia 80%
Yield - med/high
Hight - med/high
THC - up to 33%
Blue Moonrocks x Blackberry Kush
8 to 9 weeks flowering
Blueberry, Lavender, Blackberry, Citrus notes.
Body Stone, Intense, Euphoric, Long lasting
High Resin production
Med sized plant with sturdy branches and big flowers
Medical Strain - Sleep, Pain, Anxiety, MS
Another great strain from Anesia Seeds.
I plan to start flowering around June 1st and harvesting by Aug 15.
There's a 10 x 10 tent inside the greenhouse to force flowering.
Have Fun.
Chuck.
Hello. After 30 years of growing, I've found my first twin. Can they be separated? Have you heard of it being done or have you done it or should I just cut the weaker stem out? What other advice can you give on this matter. Chuck.
Are they separate or conjoined? If so separate safely. If joined them I'd grow as is to see how it turned out. It's rare so a documented experiment would be interesting. If you are only growing that one then maybe start another.
I feel if you cut it off there is a big chance both will die. They are fragile.
Let em ride dude
Hello. I asked a question about twins a day ago. Gently dug down to find a root for each stem. Separation successful. My question now is - are they identical or not? I my mind they are, What do you think. Chuck.
genetic mapping.. no way to see a physical thing that results from the fertilized egg splitting or if there were 2 unique eggs fertilized to start.
might have a good guess, but can't be certain of it.
Hello. This is the first week of veg for Blackberry Moonrocks.
I got 6 normal looking seedlings for 6 spaces in the greenhouse for this summer
But 3 look strange. I got 1 twin that I separated for 2 plants. But there was another twin that ripped off it's own head trying to get out of the shell.
Or it didn't fully form a head inside the shell. This one has strange second leaves too. Got some mutation going on.
It's these weird plants that the mutations might show something special, Like a new taste or a really strong plant. They might be crap too.
I think it's worth the time to see. I'll try to grow them out. Then we'll see.
That's how Cheese was found. It was a home grower that found it when he germinated a Skunk #1 seed.
Then he took it to a good breeder, in England I believe, and the rest is history.
Keep Growing Straight.
Chuck.

Hello, This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of veg.
I'll use the 6 normal looking seedlings to fill the 6 spaces I have in the greenhouse for this summer.
There's a 10'x10' tent I can control the light with.
I plan to flower around June 1st and harvest around Aug 1
I want to make seeds if I can find a good male.
I've also started Panty Punch, 10 regular seeds to find a good male, so we'll see what they bring.
I'll flower the other 3 plant in the inside tent through the spring and summer.
We'll start a new Freak Bros. comic book next week
OK, Be Cool.

Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of veg.
Everybody got some food last week and they feel dry and will get some water a little later.
Every one look healthy and is growing well. Even the twins are taking off now.
Bad family news - last week my 89 year old mom broke her hip and fractured 2 disks in her spine.
Yesterday she said she has had enough and just want's to leave and didn't eat. How sad. 😪
My wife just came down and read me my sisters new email - She now thinks dyeing is too way too hard, and now wants to go home to heal. 🙂
They have got her up and eating now.
I'll get some new comics started for next week.
Ok. Keep Growing Straight.
Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of veg.
The plants look healthy and are growing well.
These plant are going in the greenhouse this year. I have room for 6 large plants in there with some room in the north end to keep some males for pollen.
I'm growing Panty Punch regular seeds for pollen for seeds this year. I'll pick the best male for that later.
It's been awhile since I've had a good berry strain. I hope it's tasty and strong.
Started a new Freak Bros. comic book #6. Printed in Jan 1980. This is a first edition and worth 15 Canadian dollars. Hope you enjoy it.
I've started a new Freak Bros. comic book, #7 in my Panty Punch diary, if your a fan like me and want to see.
There is other Freak Bros. books hidden in my other diaries too, and Fat Freddie's Cat is there as well.
Ok. Be Good!

Hello. this is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of veg.
Moved to the veg tent, now that I've harvested the Purple Cherry. I'm deciding which plant to reveg, when I test/smoke it, when it's cured.
I've got the male from the Pinoal Kush diary vegging in here also.
The plant are looking good and doing fine. I would like to top them this week to start the branches growing out because I'm doing a SCRoG grow in the greenhouse.
I would like to take them out to the greenhouse when the temp starts staying over 12 c at nights.
I'm still planning to start flowering around June 1st and harvesting around Aug 15th. Last years harvest was 1500 g from 6 plants (the 11 Roses diary, if you want to see).
Lets see if I can do the same or better this year.
OK. Keep Growing Straight.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of veg.
The plants are doing well and are growing up. I can take the stock holders off, now that the stock has thickened up.
They were used in the first couple of weeks to hold the little seedlings upright.
It's been over 25 c in the greenhouse the last couple of days but some cold weather is planed for this coming week so the plants will stay in here for another week.
All the seedlings got topped after I took these pictures today. In the last pic you can see that I topped them.
My Mom Passed last week after "giving up" from a broken hip and pelvic bone and fractured 2 vertebra. 😔 She was 89, and know this was it, and gave up.
We applied for assisted death but, we couldn't wake her when the time came to give it. She passed 2 days later.
It happened all so fast, 3 1/2 weeks and she was gone. Miss you Mom.
Be Great and have fun, in life, out there. You just never know.
Chuck.

Hello. this is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of veg.
It's still cold around here at night. It was down to 6* c last night.
Still to cold overnight to put these plant out in the greenhouse.
I would like it to stay over 10* c so the heater doesn't have to work so hard.
The plants are looking good though. Even the twins are doing good.
The 6 plants in the tray are the ones I've chosen to go out to the greenhouse when it warm's up a bit more.
It's supposed spring soon. 😃
OK. Keep growing Straight.

Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of veg.
I got that flu that is going around. Coming out both ends. Feeling better today so I thought I would post.
The plants are looking good. Did some trimming of some big fan leaves, They needed water every 2 days.
If I get rid of some fan leaves they won't go through so much water.
Hope to get they ladies out to the greenhouse soon, but it's still going down to 6* c at night. so a few more weeks before they go out.
I'm starting some California Indica for my buddy to grow this summer, they are mold resistant so he thought they would be a good choice for here in the pacific northwest.
Ok. Be Cool.

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of veg.
Man... It's just not warming up much this spring around here. This week coming up, they are still saying it's going down to 2* c at night.
I'm hoping to get these plants out there next week. I'll close up my 10 x 10 tent and with the heater and dehumidifier it should be warm enough at night.
I've got 3 - TS-600 Mars Hydro lights to be my veg lights in the greenhouse. I should be able to get enough coverage from those lights to keep them in veg and growing.
Still hope to start flowering around June 1st and harvest around Aug 15th. I find I get bigger flowers if I flower during the strongest summer sunlight.
Ok. Have Fun.
Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of veg.
I was out in the greenhouse this week getting the lights hooked up and the tent cleaned up.
It went down to 4* c last night so another week before putting plants out there I'm thinking.
I've been pulling flowers off the male I picked of Panty Punch to make seeds with.
It's got loads of male flowers that are flowering under 18 hours of light.
The more flowers the male has, the better it is for making seeds with.
Still trying to hold these plants back a bit, and then let them go once they get out in the greenhouse.
It will be soon now.
OK. Keep Growing Straight.

Hello. This is the end of week 10 and the beginning of week 11 of veg.
Got the girls out to the greenhouse this weekend. And the guys too.
Repotted the 6 females into the big pots. And training has started already with the metal rods to hold down the long branches.
For each pot I mixed 4 gallons of soilless soil and 2 gallons of compost and 1 gallon of perlite/vermiculite. That filled each pot about 3/4 full.
After transplanting I filled up the top 1/4 with the soilless soil. All the pots got about the same amount of soil within 1 Liter +/-
The plants did well being bent into place. I broke 1/2 of plant #6's mainline.
Wrapped twine around the brake and bent the branch over the bar and held it in place with a metal rod. That will work for me. You can see in the picture.
I'll give a bit more water later today but with the compost the plants will have enough food for a while, so I won't have to feed for a while.
I'm still planning to start flowering around June 1st to Aug 15 or so, to take advantage of the strong summer sun.
These plants should take off once they get a taste of the compost.
Ok. Be Great.
Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 11 and the beginning of week 12 of veg.
Wow, These plants have doubled in size since last week. I'm guessing the roots found the compost.
I put in 2 gallons of compost in each pot this year and was worried the soil might be too hot for the plants. But they look good. No burnt or wilted leaves.
Showed some yard flowers. After all this site is about the flowers, eh! 😄
Repotted the twins and the extra plant and I will flower them inside under the mars Hydro FC-4800 in the main grow room.
They will be harvested before the plants in the greenhouse and I'll show it here.
Haven't had a good berry strain in awhile. Looking forward to the taste.
Showed how I use the plastic pots. I prefer the plastic pots to the cloth pots, but I still use some cloth.
When the roots get into the landscapers cloth, I can bottom water better.
It doesn't hold a lot of water, I don't have to worry about mold. and I get better air transfer to the roots.
Ok. Be Great.
Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 12 and the beginning of week 13 of veg.
Everything is going good in here. The plants seem to have doubled since last week.
They all got a gallon of food yesterday and were all reaching up this morning when I went in.
Every few days I push the tips down under the next rung to spread these girls out more.
I'll do some training on the 3 plants I've got going indoors this week.
Ok. Have Fun.

Hello. This is the end of week 13 and the beginning of week 14 of veg.
Got plants going outside and inside with this strain. 6 in the greenhouse and 3 in the grow room.
The twins look good. I got in the greenhouse yesterday and did some training. I got Plants #5 and #4 spread out and I will get in here tomorrow and spread out the rest.
Still planning to start flowering in a couple of weeks with the help of the10 x 10 tent in the greenhouse.
I've got a 15 gallon reservoir in there with hydroponic lines to each plant. So they get a bit of food for each of 6 days and I clean and refill on the 7th.
Ok. Happy Smoking.

Hello. This is the end of week 14 and the beginning of week 15 of veg.
I think I might turn over to flowering next week. I'll take the lights out.
I'll open the tent inside the greenhouse, after 8 am, when the shadow of the oak tree is off the greenhouse.
And close it up after 8 pm. That will give around 12/12 for flowering to start.
The tent is getting 5 years old now and I've got to get in there and seal up some light leaks before flowering.
I've got to sew up 2 places where the thread has come undone and put some duct tape on some other leaks.
Everything else is going good in here.
Ok. Have Fun.

Hello. This is the end of veg and the first week of flowering, starting tonight.
Man what a cold spring around here. We had a week of over 21* c through the day.
But the last couple of weeks have been cold, barely getting over 13* c through the day.
I didn't open the tent till noon because it was raining here.
So, these plant will be going into flowering tonight. I'll be lowering my bamboo type of net later this week that will hold up the big BlackMoon buds.
Got 2 males to work with this year. Panty Punch and Pinoal Kush (my own cross)
These males should make some good seeds this year, they are "FREE" if you want to do a diary on them.
I use a 3 dollar international stamp and a Christmas card to get them to you, I just want a diary done in return.
The plants inside will be put into flowering a week after the ones in the greenhouse.
I know it will take me a week to harvest the ones in the greenhouse.
The plants in the greenhouse all got a big drink of rainwater last night and all had their first overflow into the reservoir.
I'll be mixing up some flowering nutrient for the next watering.
Well, that is the end of the FFFB comic book. Hope you enjoyed it. He's one of my favorite artist.
I'll find something else weird to show you next week and for the rest of the diary.
Ok. Be Great.
Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of flowering.
Got the bamboo screen lowered into place and got the taller branches sticking through.
All the plants got a big drink of flowering nutrient this week to help slow the stretch.
The 3 plants I've got inside, will be put into flowering tonight. I've already changed the timer.
I did some LST on the ones inside and took clippings for clones later.
No sign of insects/pests yet. I know what to look for and do it daily.
Everyone looks good and is growing well.
I dug out another underground comic to show, but it has some weird stuff in it. It's called Weirdo.
The copyright date is at the bottom of the letters page, fall of 1981.

Hello This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering, for the 6 plants in the greenhouse.
This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of flowering, for the 3 plants inside.
Things are going good in here this week. I want to get in here this week and do my last trim/prune before the resin starts flowing.
The Voodoo Plant opened this week. It smells like rotten stuff so the flies pollenate it. It's only a 4 day flower before it goes bad.
I showed some of the sweat shirts and t-shirts I put image's on, with a ink jet printer and some iron on transfer paper.
Are you a pot/cannabis activist too. Make your own shirts with the images "you" want on them.
Ok. Wishing you the Best Wishes. Be Great.

Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of flowering.
Opening the tent at 8 am and closing it at 8 pm has sent these girls in flowering. Now they are showing resin.
I meant to get in here this week and do a final trim/prune, but life got in the way, so I'll get in here in the next few days to do that.
Then I'll start pollenating the plants with the males that are already flowering in a different greenhouse.
I'll put the clones into flowering today. I just have to place them in the tent when I close it up at 8 pm and take them out in the morning.
After 3 weeks I'll put them in the other greenhouse with the males over them and let gravity pollenate them all.
Once the clones have been under the males for a week, ...
I'll kill the males before the pollen makes seeds in other peoples plants that will be going into flowering this late summer.
Ok. Keep Growing Straight.

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering.
I got my 2 long and narrow paper bags out. The ones the french bread are in at the store. The ones with the long plastic window in them.
I went to the male plant, that I have in a different greenhouse, and got some of the open flowers and pollen inside the paper bags.
This is a good male. It has lots of flowers, not many leaves, is not too tall, and is good smelling with the "rub the stem and smell your fingers" test.
And the smell stays on my fingers for a few minutes, not disappearing in a few seconds.
Careful not to dump out the pollen I slid the bag over the buds I pick out. I pinched the bag around the branch and held it with a clothes peg.
I gently shoock the bag to get the pollen to each flower pistil. When I closed up for the night I shoock up the bag again.
I gently took the bags off the next morning, careful not to spray pollen all over the place, then went a got some more pollen for the next plants. and repeated for all 6 plants.
Got some yellowing of some of the older leaves. This is sort of self pruning to me, but I will add some extra nitrogen next time to slow the yellowing.
I've seen a few fungus gnats around, but nothing to worry about.
Ok. The Adventure Goes On.
Be Great.

Hello This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of flowering.
Went to post on Tues. but found no pictures in any of my diaries. WTF...
1/2 way there. Still got 5 weeks to go, I'm planning to harvest around Aug 15 unless I get some pests or mold.
The inside plants seem to have gotten a little yellow. I'll give some extra nitrogen next watering.
Ok. Short Comment. Have Fun.
Chuck.
Some how the nutrients got messed up. I look at it later.???
Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of flowering.
It's been hot here this week. Over 30* c for the last 5 days in the green house.
I was busy with my Panty Punch harvest and didn't check them through the day.
When I closed up for the night 2 days ago, I found them all wilted from lack of water.
But they all have more yellow leaves because of that.
They are also pulling nutrients from the big fanleaves getting near the end of flowering.
After pollenating the clones (see the short video) I cut down the Panty Punch male so as not to seed anyone else's cannabis plants,
But it's the beginning of July and there shouldn't be any cannabis plants that are flowering outside just yet.
I forgot to take pictures of the 3 inside plants this week. I think one might have gone hermy on me.
I'm seeing a lot of brown pistils on the plants that should be white. I took a quick look but didn't see any male flowers. Will have to look closer later.
No sign of problems. Still a month to go before harvest. Things are going good.
Ok. Have fun out there.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of flowering.
This is the last week of food for these beautiful girls. I'll be flushing for the last 2 weeks.
I find flushing makes the smoke taste less harsh. And curing in paper bags makes the pot taste great. More on that later...
You can tell some of the plants are getting near the end of their lives, they are getting more yellow fan leaves, from the plant drawing back nutrients from them.
I can see the clones are pollenated and I should have lots of seeds to share ...
Want some free seeds? Just do a diary on them and I'll send you some. Give me your choice, send me a message in privet messaging.
I use a international stamp and a Christmas card. Sent out 7 orders last year, all over the world. They all arrived. Some took 2 months though.
This is the end of book #3 of Weirdo I'll find some other weird comics for the rest of this diary. Hope you like the old comics?? Some are a little strange though.
No pest problems yet, and no White Powder Mildew problems yet either. I've got some WPM on some dandelion's leaves just outside of the greenhouse, but none in here yet.
I've seen some fungus gnats around the pots, but they are everywhere this time of year.
OK. Be Great.
Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering.
I've stopped closing up the tent at nights now. The plants are so far along in flowering they won't turn back to veg, even with the neighbor's lights on.
So I'm not in there twice a day now. So I was a little surprised to find spider mites. The grow was going so good I thought I missed the bugs this year.
But they showed up. I bought a Hypochlorous Acid Generator last year last year early so I was prepared.
I used it at full strength last year for spider mites and I got yellow leaves after a couple of weeks. I guess the leaves got a bit fried at full strength.
So this year I'm trying it at 1/2 strength with a drop of dish soap to help choke those dam spider mites.
It's a little pricey, but I'm hoping to get years of use out of it, to make up for the price.
Everything else is going good in here.
Started flushing yesterday with PH adjusted tap water. The tap water used to be at 6.5 ph for years, but the water counsel found out that 7.5 ph water is better for you.
So I have to adjust it. It's 1 drop of ph down per gallon and it makes it 5.7 ph. water.
It will be 2 weeks more of flushing and then harvest. With the Panty Punch male plant ...
I've seeded 1 branch of each plant and I've pollenated 4 clones too. They are - The White, Amnesia Lemon, Critical OG and Pink Kush.
I'll send you some free good regular seeds if you want to do a diary on them. I learn from your diaries so I can improve my breeding technics.
So if you would like some free seeds, privet message me and we can chat about them.
I send them in a Christmas card with an international stamp. It cost me about 3 dollars Canadian.
I don't mind. I get to learn from you.
Ok. Be Great.
Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of flowering.
Got 1 week of flushing done. I'll give the 3rd flushing tomorrow and and I should get another in before the harvest, starting on Aug 5, a Monday.
In years past, it's taken about a week to cut it down, hang the branches for a few days and then put the buds into curing bags.
Getting yellow leaves because of the flushing and there is another week to go so there will be more yellow leaves.
That's Ok. I think if you mistreat them a bit, you gets more THC at harvest.
The 3 plants I have inside were wilted when I checked on them. With the heat they went through their water faster since the last watering.
Now they have got lots of yellow leaves, especially Plant #8b. That twin has been a little strange since the start. Oh well?!?
The inside plants are a week behind the ones in the greenhouse and they will be harvested after I've finished in the greenhouse.
Showed some of my flowering peyote. They are self pollenating and the oldest is about 20 years old.
Finished book 5 of Weirdo. I've got more Freak Bros. comic books for the next diaries which will be Pink Kush and Death Bubba from weedasecgenetics.simdif.com/ or weedasec.org/
OK. Keep Growing Straight.
Chuck.

Hello. Hear we are at the end of this diary.
Plants grew well. There were no real big problems. These plants are very white powdery mildew resistant. It passes on in the seeds I made.
I enjoyed growing this strain. It spread out well in SCRoG, and covered its area by flowering time, June 1st.
Grew well through the summer. I saw pests but none took hold except for the spider mites in the last weeks of flowering.
I sprayed them a few times to knock them down but they didn't cause much problems.
I was hoping for stronger finished pot. With the breeders description being up to 33% THC I thought I might get one strong plant.
Anesia is a good seed bank, but they have got to stop giving unreal THC percentages. None of the strains I've grown from them, has lived up to their hype.
This is good smoke, don't get me wrong... I just thought it might be stronger because of their advertising.
I made some regular seeds and I'd be happy to send you some Free Seeds if you will do a diary on them. 😃
The clones were crossed with a good Panty Punch male from Seed Stockers
I pollenated ... The White by Dr. Greenthumb
Amnesia Lemon by Barney
Critical by Barney
Pink Kush saved by ... me
And Plant #4 from the Blackberry Moonrocks run
So, direct message me if your interested, and pick a couple of strains you might do a diary on.
I'm just trying to be a better breeder and need your help... and it free...
