Dungeonbeard Decided to try autos again in the smaller tent. I like variety, so I'm packing 4 plants in there. Excited to see Mephisto and Fast Buds genetics at work. I had a friend run a few Epsilons, so I know they will perform excellently as long as I do my part. I wasn't prepared for how fast an auto grew on my first attempt. But, I feel like I'm more prepared this time. Also, I'm running Nature's Living Soil in 3 the bottoms of 3 of these pots. Bottom 1/3 of pots is FFOF mixed with Nature's Living Soil. 2nd layer is just FFOF.
Top layer is Happy Frog. All layers have approx 20% perlite mixed in. Epsilon is the only plant that SHOULD need fed nutes after the FFOF nutes deplete. I'm pumped up for this run!
Dungeonbeard Banana purple punch showing a little Nitrogen deficiency. Gave 1/4 dose of kelp me kelp you. Other 3 looking great!

Dungeonbeard Banana purple punch is having slight Nitrogen toxicity from the living soil. I didn't know this stain was known for Nitrogen sensitivity until after it was planted. I'm letting her ride to see how she does. Other 3 are coming along beautifully.

Dungeonbeard Feeding the Epsilon nutes now. Started at 1/4 dose for first feeding. Half dose for second feeding.
The other 3 plants are in living soil. Watered with 1 tbsp of unsulfured molasses.
Starting to remove some of the garden staples. I've decided I like the soft wires I've been using way better. Not intrusive to the roots and easier to train the branches how you want.
Also, this Strawberry Nuggets girl is kind of a pain to deal with. She's not stretching at all and it's difficult to train her. Hoping she stretches some before the buds really start forming.

Dungeonbeard Late entry this week. Life has been throwing a lot at me so I haven't had a lot of time. Had to hide the plants in the back of my car TWICE this week due to a landlord walk-through scheduling mix up. Also had to tear down and set up the tent twice this week. Working a lot of overtime as well and haven't had time to tend to the girls as much as needed.
I am going to say that I will not be using Nature's Living Soil again anytime soon. It is too hot in Nitrogenfor the Banana Purple Punch but it doesn't have enough PK for the Banana Purple Punch flowering needs.
It's just not consistent with any of the plants that it was used with.
I flushed and am starting to feed the Banana Purple Punch and Double Grape with the fox farm nutes I already have.

Dungeonbeard Put the girls in a slightly bigger tent. They're looking a lot better than they were last week. Nutrient adjustments and DLI adjustments were made and they seem to be happier.

Dungeonbeard Still battling the living soil trial. I'm sure there's a way to fine tune this living soil for each strain, but I don't see myself having time for that anytime soon.
I believe I was able to save bud quality when I flushed the 3 plants that had Nature's Living Soil and started using my Fox Farm nutes.
The Epsilon is extremely healthy with no issues whatsoever. She's also the only plant that does not have Nature's Living Soil mixed into the substrate.

Dungeonbeard I learned yesterday that this might be my last indoor grow for a long time. Landlord is dropping the hammer on tenants growing in a legal state. Apparently, growing cannabis in your house "disturbs the peace".
Anyways, another week of flowering in the books. They all look healthier than I expected at this point after the issues with living soil. Unfortunately, I will have to harvest all of these before June 1st. That is the day the new rules start regarding cannabis cultivation.

Dungeonbeard No big changes this week. Strawberry Nuggets is showing toxicity and deficiencies at the same time. Ph is exactly 6.6 in and 6.5 out. Who knows. I'm ready to be done with these 3 living soil plants.
Easiest plant I've ever grown. It was so symmetrical that it looked like a fake plant. Will be growing this again!

Dungeonbeard Chopped down a week early due to scheduling issues. 51.9 grams dried buds. 15.2 grams of usable trim.
Smells like berries, lemon, and and mostly a locker room that hasn't been cleaned in 5 years.
Into the jars for cure. Will post smoke report soon. Pre cure, it taste like a mix of berries and rubber.
I can't speak much on the quality of the genetics. The Nature's Living Soil almost killed this plant due to the extreme amount of Nitrogen in the mix. Still, she fared decently after multiple flushes and correcting the feeding.

Dungeonbeard Small harvest due to the plant being stunted with the Nature's Living Soil. However, the buds I did harvest are beautiful. Purple hues and covered in frost.
Into the jars for cure!
This plant also went through the Living Soil nightmare. She took a beating but still produced some beautiful buds!
Almost every leaf was covered in frost. 23 grams of trim along with the frosty buds.

Dungeonbeard Beautiful buds covered in frost currently in the jars! Smells like concord grapes and gasoline. I can't wait to grow this again using my normal feeding.
Don't pass this one up!
The final plant from the living soil disaster has been harvested and dried! 28.1 grams of buds. Almost exactly an ounce.
Smells like dehydrated strawberries and firecracker fuse. Buds are all just big colas.
I can't give a true review yet until I run this stain my normal way.

Dungeonbeard I'm happy to have the Nature's Living Soil nightmare behind me.
This plant, which is normally small, was extra small due to being stunted. 11 inches tall and only had 9 branches. However, they were all colas and I'm actually surprised I got an ounce.
Looking Nice! I wonder if it is growing so well because the main stalk/cola is not being bent and stressed like the lower branches? Could you share why you don't train the main cola? Very good looking plants :D
@MMSC16, I would normally train the main stem, but I wanted to experiment a little on this run. I've seen people achieve good results with this method, so I figured I would give it a try. Thank you so much!
@MMSC16, Thank you! Me too. I wanted to give the Living Soil a try just for the ease of only having to water. But it definitely was not worth it. At least I know now.
