Banana Melt- HSC Freebie I’m not sure what BT75 is, I assume a Banana Tangie. If Banana Melt was crafted by crossing Stoopid Fruits, Squirt, and BT75... Stoopid Fruits, a sativa-dominant hybrid, can contribute to luscious flavors of papaya, strawberry, and mango to Banana Melt. Known for its uplifting effects and large nugs, Squirt, also sativa-dominant, might add to Banana Melt's allure with its gorgeous purple and green buds. This parent strain offers a functional and energetic high, making it a perfect companion for creative endeavors and daytime highs. BT75, another sativa-dominant hybrid, can bring a rush of refreshment with its citrusy tangerine flavors. Its clear-headed and uplifting high makes it ideal for a wake-and-bake session or a burst of energy in the morning, akin to the effects of Green Crack but with a touch of sedating body high. Growing it now so we'll see which parental qualities really stand out —————- Thursday 3pm/Start of germination day 1: Soaked in warm water until seed no longer floating (about 5 hours) and transferred to rockwool. Using temp control seed germination mat. Friday 7am/Germ day 1: Taproot after 14 hours of germination. Seedling mat set at 78. Germ day 2: Banana Melt is breeching the surface! It’s been 45 hours since I began a germination method. Took two-days to germinate, see you in veg ;)

Why are the tips of the two largest fan leaves twisting? Banana Melt was the one plant I was going to let grow wild, but I’m already thinking of defoliating 🤣 Her Ph is a little low, they were doing this when Ph was also at 5.9.

probably fluctuating pH -- this causes varying growth rates in the leaves, so you get waves/warping etc. the paling of the top leaves are mostly likely something else, but i'd ensure pH is relatively stble (within +/- .2 is probably good goal, and ok to do better than that too). Once thta's stable for a bit, and you can observe new growth after that point -- if it looks fine it was probably related to the pH .. if it continues to reference a leaf chart and make your best guess like anyone else... at the least, paling from in to out on leave is one of the more distinctive symptoms.

Are these pollen sacs growing?

Don't know if you ever got an answer...but no. Those look like preflower calyxes. If you look closely at the first picture you can even see the stigma, or "hairs", coming out of the calyx.

Rest easy knowing those are 100% not pollen sacks. They are actually called stipules and develop right around the base of leaf stalks. They are pretty much just small appendages and nothing to worry about. Everything is looking good. I hope this helps.

No, those long thin things are called "stipules" and are normal for cannabis and have nothing to do with sex or flowering.

Banana Melt was accidentally pollinated. If you were in this situation would you chop her now before the seeds develope anymore or wait until I see cloudy trichs?

seeds are there, in the last days she doesnt grow in size. Maybe seeds do, but that only helps your sort them out. Anyways, there will be no new seeds growing, so i would bring it to an end the normal way. Dont stress it and enjoy whats there, it will be enough 👌 Good luck mate👋

@Suemchen, thank you very much. I do believe this strain will produce thicker colas, the last few weeks her energy has gone to making seeds. She was accidentally pollinated by a London Pound Cake.

She’s looking a lot better this evening :) back to a normal green after managing Ph. I am having to check and manage Ph far too often. What do you recommend for a Ph down? I’m currently using Ph Perfect from AN for nutes and FF Ph down.
