RQS Cookies Gelato

Day 22: LST looking good. With the branch tops getting big, the water uptake shot up. I doubled the amount per feeding to 2 liters each. The soil was nearly bone dry. I suspect 2 liters might have been too much. Everyone recoiled a bit, aside from specimen 2 which took it like a champ. They also might not like the contorting I put them through, and this was also most minimal on specimen 2. Everything else in the configuration remains relatively unchanged. Things are a little crowded for my tastes, but all the branches are moving fast and I should be able to clear some stuff out in a day or two. I want to avoid trimming the main stem fan leaves for a while, as when I do it, new node growth along the main stem basically comes to a halt, and I do need them to be a bit longer first. Will see how it goes. ---- Day 25: Specimen 1 top snapped in the night. Trained too tight. Thats OK I was a couple days from topping anyways. Everyone looking good. Did some defoliation on first leaf set that came from the branches. When the tops clear these big fans leaves I will feel a lot better about it though. ---- Day 27: Everyone is topped now. Not all in the same spot. I went with what felt good. Everyone also lost at least 1 fan leaf each which was crowding the joint. Everyone has at least 8 branches and there are no stragglers to cut. Going to wait a bit to cut the rest of those main stem fan leaves. Its not totally obvious from this bird's eye view, but it is getting much taller.
